Big upswing, but not much volume AH for the shares shorted today. Wonder if they plan on trying to short this back down on Monday to cover??? If they can. Took my loss this morning and never got back in. Looks like the train has left the station.
I agree this is a good price point. Almost a 50% discount to the 52wk high with new FDA approval.
I was commenting on the "first obesity treatment approved by FDA in 10 years" The link I posted has several recently approved obesity drugs.

Gonna have to buy earplugs for all the gurgling stomachs when this thing takes off.
I hope that you are wrong, but tend to agree that the press release was very vague and a possible pump to bring the price up off a 52 week low. If the company is undergoing independent testing, that means the product has undergone testing in CDTI labs prior. Where are the results for that?
I emailed investor relations November 19th asking when independent tests began and how long they were expected to take. Here is their response:
Thank you for your message.
We began development work in early 2013 and filed the first series of patent applications during the first quarter of 2013. Vehicle testing has been ongoing and while I don’t have a specific date, we will communicate our progress publicly as it becomes available.
Thank you for your interest in CDTi.
Kind regards,

Let's hope that's the bottom and shorts start to cover. Like to see a squeeze here as I'm sure even shorty getting bored with this one.
This is just silly. Too much short interest for these small swings. Doesn't seem worth the risk given the 3rd qtr beat and record holiday sales. Missing some good ops watching this sit stagnant.
Any idea what the contract is worth?
Between the upgrade yesterday and the good sales results, we should be flirting with 10.00. For some reason, 7.40-7.50 is the number we've been stuck at for a month. I can't figure it out. I'll hold until this nonsense is over.
Downward pressure everyday for over a week now. Glad we're holding steady, but come on. Didn't mother tell you it's not cool to short during the holidays?
Interesting movement. Nice volume spike. May be time for a run.
This is off their website. Not much info as to time frames.

I don't see this going below $2 before news. I bought at 2.45 and plan to buy more when the volatility slows a bit more.
Product is undergoing independent testing at the moment. Should be able to get results on emissions quickly, but not sure how much time longevity testing will take. Probably at least 100-150K mile test with diesel and unleaded vehicles. Should get a nice pop with good results, then contracts to follow.
What's with the $8 price targets. Was expecting higher.
Well said. Hard lessons learned when you chase a stock. I think this one will test its 52 high in the next couple weeks. IMHO
Think we'll hit 12 by Christmas?
Seems like a lot of manpower to refurbish these units over the next 12-18 months. Hopefully they have enough employees to focus on new orders as well.
Crickets chirping.
I'm interested to hear how many of those 1300 demo units have been returned with no sale and what the duration of the program is. I don't see 8 coming, but won't argue with someone who's been correct thus far.
Thanks for the 2nd post. Average approval for TKI is 409 days through EMA and 205 days in US according to your chart. Vemurafenib took 290 days with clock stops and this is our combination drug. Vemurafenib took 111 days in US under a priority review procedure.
The article says they have already filed with the EU, so that leads me to believe we are on the last stages: scientific eval -up to 210 days, scientific opinion -directly after eval, authorization within 67 days after positive opinion. Not a short period, but could be much worse.

Thanks for the info. I agree, an upgrade would be nice.
I'm not sure what to make of this stock. Thought it was a steal at 1.80. There was an article back in July that said there wasn't much hope for the prostate drug Cabo, so this sell off seems quite embellished. Feels like we should be oversold by now. Any idea how long the EMA takes to approve applications on solid phase 3 results?
There is demand. I like it. Sounds like they either sold or are demoing their entire back stock.
My apologies, as I did not mean to come off as insensitive to a young man being shot. I am glad he will be okay and potentially get paid from this incident. It did not seem a smart move to rush to grab something while being questioned. I am all for these cameras keeping both parties honest in any situation. We just had a trooper get shot and critically injured trying to help a stranded motorist a few months back. It's a fine line they walk everyday and I'm glad not to be the one judging them. Video tells an unbiased story.
Not sure why he got fired. Looks legit to me. Would have looked even better with the body cam. They could save enough on frivolous lawsuits to buy these things 10 times over. Save face, buy cop cams.
Hoping for a bump after the ESMO conference. Will see.
The TASR batteries are not better check the specs on both websites. Cost is the same with DA's $200 discount. As to the cloud storage and database, I cannot say which is better. I am day trading this stock, but they go head to head with Taser's product. Could be a nice bump if they get any substantial contracts. One company specializes in stun guns, and the other in LIDAR guns. Like I said, we will see.
I agree with you that TASR will most likely get the lion's share of this sector. I also agree that this sale was not very noteworthy. That being said, this is a huge market. The 2008 census said there are over 700,000 Law enforcement officers in the US. Ferguson may have passed, but the need for cop cams has not. I personally like the DGLY system that is linked to the car systems and will turn on the cameras automatically under certain circumstances. That is a nice benefit when tensions are high. I personally don't believe TASR has a superior product other than maybe their evidence.com database. I have installed cost effective no name surveillance systems that worked just as well if not better that those costing 100 times more. I am slightly encouraged that some departments are seeing the benefits of DGLY's system. We shall see.
Yay, we sold some cameras.

The Koch brothers are bringing down PLUG eh? This stock has been extremely volatile for some time. There was no HYSCO JV and we have yet to see this 30M contract Andy has been talking about. In the last conference call Q&A session, they even talked about problems arising with some working fuel cells. I personally don't feel Andy addressed those issues very well.
Not bashing, just trying to be realistic.
This article is total BS. First they make it sound like DGLY doesn't even make a body cam, then they say how inferior DA's body cam and software is. They are almost identical. DA's battery specs are 4.5 hours of record time and 2.5 days of standby versus tasers 4 hours of record time and 12+ hours standby. DA's body cam will also record 720P HD video whereas taser only 640x480 SD video.
Compare specs
I agree. This is what I want to hear. Let them use the demos and see DA has a more comprehensive system. Let's get some contracts signed.

Najarian says he's happy to be in PLUG. On CNBC a couple minutes ago.
With 30+M shorts, that will be one heck of a squeeze. I'm hoping.
Toyota investing heavily in hydrogen R&D.

Even if PLUG doesn't get into the automotive sector, their opportunities will be greatly enhanced by others helping to develop a hydrogen infrastructure.
There were 2 form 4's for liquid gas- 1 buy and 1 sell.
That's the nicest forklift I've ever seen. Sweet. Looks like it can operate without a driver too.
I pasted an IR email I received yesterday- no link to follow.
Here it is again.
Reply from IR regarding hysco
Hello,
Thank you for your email.
The negotiations we announced in April regarding our partnership with Hyundai Hysco are ongoing, with both companies committed and excited about the possibilities of growing the market share of GenDrive fuel cells throughout Asia. We plan to discuss where we are on this partnership during our upcoming second quarter earnings call.
The date for the Q2 call has not yet been released. When it is made public, the date and dial-in information will be distributed via press release and posted on the homepage of our website, www.plugpower.com.
Thank you.
