Regarding ECMO.
A close friend, here in Atlanta, uses an inhaler and has a history of ARDS (twice hospitalized, low Ox).
She is 70 yrs old, takes allergy meds.

She lives in a house with someone who tested COVID positive, but who is recovering well.
She is awaiting her recent virus test results. Nervously.
She can advance quickly to critical stage, if positive. ARDS > ECMO.

I've read on this board that cytosorb has been used with ECMO machines with good success.
Has that been true, in a COVID environment?
I've also read of it's use at the website of the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology(AmSECT)

As I said, she is still awaiting her COVID test results. If her results are positive, things can happen quickly.

If she can't use Piedmont Healthcare System here in Atlanta, is compassionate use of cytosorb the only route?
Or, given the FDA granted EUA, can any hospital system use it, provided they're trained?
