To me it just feels like they are deliberately pushing the share price down prior to the shareholder meeting in two weeks. According to the article put out on June 5th, they expected it to take about four weeks to pull the high volume of water cuts out of the wells in Xenia and Johnsonville. I do not know if they have either one actually on pump and under production test currently, but it would appear as though the Blessing Well should have been brought up to between 100 and 200 bopd weeks ago according to what they projected in the article, if I am understanding it correctly. I may very well be misinterpreting it, but that is how I am reading it. It seems like we should have at the very least have received some news that the Blessing Well is producing such and such many bopd by now IMO.
I believe I read a rumor of the Maverick suppose to be undergoing a frac job in August, but that is just an unsubstantiated rumor. I agree with your speculation on this should likely pick up once we have substantiated production. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts if we get good production news in Illinois soon. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
It will be very interesting to me to see if this board finally gets lit up if they announce good production on the Burkett well soon. Oh well..... I'll just sit here in my room and talk to myself as usual ...
Woolsey Energy leases nearby Strata-X Leases: I am really curious about private operator Woolsey Energy, who continues drilling down to the Knox formation at the 8000 foot range and capping the wells to apparently hold the leases. He has done this apparently in White, Wayne and Edwards Counties. I notice he continues to drill to the Knox formation rather than just drilling shallow vertical wells and capping them. I wonder if Strata-X is sitting on something in the Knox formation as well as the New Albany Shale. Regardless of the outcome of the Burkett and the Blessing wells this is all interesting to me, just for the sake of being interesting. http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/search/pages/results.aspx?k=woolsey&s=DNR
Any movement up there on the Burkett? Have they started putting the down hole pump in or is there any activity going on?
History selling oil companies to Shell?
Prefontaine eyes "threepeat" at Strata-X Energy (V.SXE)
Stockhouse Editorial
Deploying new extraction techniques to harvest oil and gas from historic energy-producing areas in the United States is nothing new these days.
But if Strata-X Energy Ltd. (TSX: V.SXE, Stock Forum) is successful, it will be third time lucky for Ron Prefontaine, an Australian geophysicist, who has had previous wins with Arrow Energy (swallowed by Royal Dutch Shell Plc and PetroChina for $3.5 billion in 2010) and Bow Energy Ltd. (acquired by Arrow in September 2011 for $550 million).
The hope is that investors will benefit from the Strata-X Chairman’s previous experience in extracting value from early stage exploration and development projects.
Backed by proceeds of a $12.7 million IPO, Strata-X is drilling on 48,000 acres of oil and gas exploration rights in Illinois, known as the Vail project, which is located in the Illinois Basin and is thought to contain about 230 million barrels of oil.
On Thursday, the company said it has drilled down to the landing point of its Burkett 5-34HOR well, at a vertical depth of 4,984 feet, meaning it is ready to commence the horizontal portion of the drilling process, which is aiming for the targeted Devonian Lingle formation.
If all goes according to plan, crews could be in a position to start production testing by late September, a company spokesman said.
With about $9 million left in the treasury, Strata-X is gearing up to use the latest technology, including hydraulic fracturing, in the Illinois Basin, which has previously produced 4.3 billion barrels of oil and 4 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a technique that involves the pumping of water, sand and chemicals at high pressure into rock formations to unlock energy.
This has helped to revolutionize the oil and gas industry, particularly in Canada and the United States, where previously uneconomical deposits have become viable.
A research report by Australian analyst Peter Strachan says Strata-X will be one of the first companies to attempt to apply horizontal drilling technology used in other unconventional plays in the area of the Illinois Basin, where it is currently working.
Strata-X officials are keeping a watchful eye on Rex Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: REXX, Stock Forum) and SM Energy Company (NYSE: SM, Stock Forum), which are also active in the Illinois Basin.
One of the largest producers in the region, Rex has seen the value of its stock has almost double to $20.55 this week from around the $12 mark in December, 2012, leaving Rex with a market cap of $1.1 billion, based on 53.6 billion. The 52-week range is $22.08 and $11.69.
It is largely for that reason that Joel Havard of Hilliard Lyons Equity Research recently lowered his rating on Rex to neutral from long term buy.
SM Energy, trading at $67.53 this week, is targeting the same formation on a nearby project located to the south of the Vail project.
Meanwhile, aside from the production tests at Vail, Strata-X is planning to drill on two more projects, including the Maverick oil project along the Eagle Ford Shale trend in Texas, and the Sleeping Giant gas project in North Dakota.
Exploration and development success could lead to the start of production income within 12 months, wrote Strachan in report penned in January 2013.
Strata-X traded at 22 cents this week, leaving the company with a market cap of $27.2 million, based on 123.7 million shares outstanding. The 52-week range is 18 cents and 46 cents.
V.SXE on Toronto stock exchange (STRXF on OTC, but in Grey Market in U.S.A.)supposed to put well on pump tomorrow. Should get at very least a penny increase imo if not water flooded, but maybe dollar increases possible? CEO history selling oil co's to Shell

If we get good news next week on the Burkett I think it should pick up media coverage all across the country. I just hope the speculation on it is right!
I just can not comprehend the lack of interest in others on stockhouse and the 'Oilers' group in attempting to get this noticed on the breakout boards. It will be very interesting to see what we get on the Burkett for news next week. It will also be interesting to me to see if this board suddenly wakes up if we get the awesome news that I hope for on it!
Picture of tanks in ND, looks like things are moving fast up there. They claim that is has 'abundant porosity' and 80 feet thick of intervals with gas and oil. Burkett rumored to go on pump next week! I am thinking this can go from low .30's to dollar land really quickly now! JP Morgan supposed to be holding over 15% of company stock. History of selling companies to Shell and subsidiaries. Low share structure. What the hell else can somebody ask for in an investment vehicle???
www.strata-x.com
I am looking forward to July 7th on the down hole pump on the Burkett well!
I read that JP Morgan holds 15.84% holdings on this and
Credit Suisse holds 11.36% of holdings!
Well, they definitely seem like a good fit to me for Marathon with the holdings in Illinois and North Dakota. Our 120,000 acres in ND and their 370,000 acre lease. As well as the pipeline Marathon has near the Vail lease.
The fact that the Corporate officers have a history of selling Arrow Energy and Bow Energy to Royal Dutch Shell is a good way of trying to judge the possibilities to me. That and the fact that this is the beginning of horizontal fracing in the State of Illinois, which used to be one of the largest producing Oil Basins in the Country, and Strata-X holds aprox 72,000 acres of leases. The news on the ND lease where they drilled into 80 foot thick of an apparent gas and oil find. I also look at what other companies who have been successful in fracing in other States. But , maybe someone else can fill us in with how they would value a company like this. But this is all my guess work for me, and not advice to others.
I am really curious as to what is going on with the Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders. I keep looking on the Australian Exchange to see if they release any news about it tonight.
Let's see if we can get this up on the Breakout Boards tonite!! Doesn't the down hole pump go in on July 7th on the Burkett Well?
I wonder if the delay on the Extraordinary Meeting of Shareholders is due to the North Dakota find!! This may very well mean that there was some form of buyout offer taking place. Just a theory. But odd that they put out news on an 80 foot thick total pay zone and then they delayed this shareholder meeting!!
Sorry I didn't respond earlier, my ip address is blocked! But if you could respond on here maybe we can get this up on the breakout boards this am. Then it should get noticed!
Hey Coffee, I don't know if you have been watching this, but you might want to alert anyone you know about this Strata-X stock. Check out the news releases this month on the findings in Illinois. About two more weeks they said this will have a down hole pump installed. The results seem favorable, as Woolsey Energy has invested in a 20 acre lease to build an oil camp to service their exploration in this area after exploring and they are a PRIVATE company. Looks like New Albany Shale and Knox are about to really change the market for domestic oil production in Illinois! I think this could potentially go from .30's to 60 dollars a share if they prove the proposed 328,000,000 barrels of anticipated oil is recoverable through horizontal drilling. Of course it is still a gamble on this Burkett well, but I think the fact that they are installing a down hole pump speaks volumes, as this company has a history of its executives building and selling oil companies to Royal Dutch Shell.
I missed that news last. We need to get some of the other guys on here. Once this gets seen on the breakout boards, we should start seeing a lot more volume.
Only about two more weeks to where they said they should have the down hole pump getting installed. Woolsey putting in an oil camp in Edwards County in Fairfield Illinois. Looks like he has a lot of faith in this area, as Woolsey is a private company that has apparently been coring around in White, Wayne, and now in Edwards County. Looks to be an interesting summer!
We are suppose to have a subsidy IPO out at .25 from my understanding. Does anyone have a link for that?
Just a little while longer to go time! I am locked in and ready !!
One penny-stock ran to $48 on MJ news recently. I am not putting an caps on how high one of these can run with the right type of contracts and attention.
This has been steadily climbing the past couple of weeks with no news or promos. This usually runs every two to four weeks since October, give or take a month, so this increase falls within that range in my mind. Many rumors of marijuana lighting contracts, sister company has software contracts. Good base holding and not selling! This looks like it could be a VERY good week here!Welcome to TGGI!!
#42 on Breakout Boards! Time to fly!!
Expecting marijuana contract news soon!!
Sister co ran to .39 recently !!
If MJ news releases this COULD go to .20's very soon would be my expectations! But do your own DD!
I expect this to run Thursday based off of the monthly activity since October.
Now I want some freaking coffee.... thanks a lot.
I didn't see any PR's these past two weeks. Price has been steadily climbing and volume has been climbing as well. Please post any PR's from past two weeks on TGGI.
It is encouraging seeing this going to 5's with increasing volume without seeing promos or news!! Can't argue that 5's aren't falling!!
My guess is that we get a small run next week in line with the history on this ticker since October 2013. Just my expectation. Today is a good day for loading if I am guessing correctly, but do your own dd and do not make decisions off of my guesses.
Kind of curious with the bid consistently around ten times the ask I am surprised he doesn't do another promo while their is already a large base following this.
