Amen to that!
Take it from me. I toughed it out for 3 years with them, trying to be as objective as possible. Only to have them pull an R/S this past Sept. which shrunk my original investment down to what it is now: a little over $3 total. This is from an original investment of $1k.
Thank God I didn't sink serious money into this, as I was contemplating that several times. Something made me hold back. Lesson learned.
On occasion I look at what HIMR is up to, just out of a morbid sense of curiosity. I feel bad for those who invested heavily and bought into their b.s., only to have the rug pulled out from under them. I see some of these people on other message boards, even after being seriously stung by the R/S, still hoping. It's a shame. I guess some people never learn.
I couldn't imagine sinking one more red cent into this POS.
Caveat emptor.

Caveat emptor
Good point.
Clearly this isn't the game for me. I'd rather deal with real companies with real businesses.
GLTA
I'd sooner play the friggin' Lotto than sink another red cent in this POS.
GLTA
If not a scam, then shady, at best. They're all in cahoots as far as I'm concerned.
Steering clear BIG TIME!!
I stayed as objective as possible on this one. Neither seeing it as the POS it turned out to be, nor cheerleading for it. At the end of the day, it is a garden-variety subpenny stock. They were at .0001 for a long time, and it appears even that price was an overvaluation. All they did was prove that they are not ready for prime time. I thank my lucky stars that I didn't invest serious money into this. Just writing off the loss & moving on.
I think this proves more than anything that getting emotional about any stock is a losing position. We're all here to make money, so let's go do that! Clearly HIMR isn't the place to do that.
At this point if you put another red cent into this company you are living in a fool's paradise, IMHO.
GLTA
Yes, they did the same thing almost at the exact same time last year. Looks like they're just selling shares and diluting the stock even more. Seems to be the MO for this company at this point.
I've owned shares for nearly 3 years now, and this seems to be the status quo for them.
Thankfully I haven't put serious money into these shares - just holding onto them like a lotto ticket, which at this point I think I would've been better off investing in some scratch-offs.
GLTA
Agreed! The only thing I would add is that whoever has the power/authority to stop the MMs from the clear price manipulation with the 100-share sales better act. Otherwise this price will stay in this range.
I was worried that this would start to trend back down to .0001 range because of the MMs, now it looks certain. I hope I'm wrong.
GLTA
Agreed. I've been with this stock for 2 years now. It would've been in the .0009-.0011 range in Jan of this year IMO, had it not been for this manipulation by the MMs. Who knows how high it would be right now with all of this positive news. Oh well.
GLTA
The problem is that this has been going on for months now. When we had a run early this year up to .0007, we got drilled all the way back down to .0001 because of this 100-share activity. Not sure if it will ever let up at this point.
Here is the thing that I don't understand. If this were, in fact, dilution, then why are the MMs intentionally depressing the price? Why not let this run & let the "diluters" make as much as they can?
3:03:59pm - 100 @ .0004
ASK-holes!!!
Good point.
@ 12:15:00pm - buy 48,000 @ .0006
@ 12:15:59pm - sell 100 @ .0005
I believe the MMs are officially "ask-holes." LOL
The price on this stock would be AWESOME were it not for the MMs and their perpetual 100-lot sales depressing the price. Damn.
I am not suggesting this is a scam. Period.
No. Not a fair question. Just a bunch of hypotheticals & hyperbole.
I believe I said "If they do come through, then they are legitimate."
What I deduced (well before this discussion) is that any PR is meaningless without follow up. If they do not follow up, then you are correct, it was meaningless. If they do come through, then they are legitimate.
To my knowledge, no company, private or public, issues copies of purchase orders publicly. If you are aware of a previous situation in which that has happened before, then please share. However, I've never seen that.
So North Cal Wood Products would issue a purchase order to a scam company?
And if North Cal confirmed the business relationship with HIMR, what then?
Hi ben1kovacs!
Much appreciated. I also checked out their website:
www.onlinelumberstore.com
For all intents & purposes they seem 100% legitimate (at least to me, whatever that is worth). That is why the accusations of scam against HIMR are curious to me.
I see. So if they can say anything they want, then
1) why quote it as fact?
2) if you're going to quote it, why leave out the part of the report that notes the strategic distribution agreement with North Cal?
3) If they can say anything, why even note in the report that they owe North Cal back rent of $800? Why not leave that out if they're going to lie anyways?
Not Michael Lacy. Tony Fernandez.
Compelling accusation. Proof?
Is North Cal Wood Products a legitimate operation? If so, why would they risk their reputation by being in cahoots with a scam?
I certainly hope you are correct!
I see. If that is the case, then it would make sense as to why they're driving the price down. Sucks for the rest of us, though.
Stock isn't going anywhere because the MMs won't let it. Period. I have NO idea why, it is just clear that they won't.
The price manipulation is disheartening. Some of us have been with this stock for years, waiting to see some highs finally. So to see this on the buy after all this time, only to have MMs depress the price is infuriating.
Seems like the MMs want to keep this in the current price range. Hence the price manipulation with 100-share sales every time it trends up. Why? I've been trying to determine but have been unsuccessful.
Once again the MMs block a run with their lovely 100-share sales. What the heck...
That would make sense as to why they're manipulating the price to keep it low. Hopefully at some point they'll let this thing run to its full potential.
100 shares @ .0003. Any doubt that the MM's won't let this run?
Agreed! IMO this stock would have had a considerable run earlier in the month if it weren't for the MM's placing these 100-share lot orders, which clearly depresses the price. Not sure what their agenda is, be it positive or negative.
Same here. Started purchasing this stock early '12. However, I have never seen the MMs do these 100 block/.0001 sales until now. I can only assume this is a tactic to depress the price to either a) make the price low enough for a company buyback, and/or b) to help with negotiations on the C class shares.
Another sell of 100 @ .0001. So it is safe to assume that the MM's will keep manipulating the price, depressing it to the .0001-.0003 range? At what point does anyone think they will finally stop this price manipulation and let the price rise/fall normally?
Interesting moves going on here, and not in a good way:
1) A/S up from 10B to 20B.
2) MM's manipulating stock price with 100 share blocks of .0001 sales. Keeping sale price down.
3) Still no FB pics of the location in question.
What exactly is going on? Interested in analysis from non-paid bashers/promoters, please.
Agreed. If this is the motivation to suppress the price, then in the long run this may be a very good thing!
