Boring Q & A with no news broken. They should have waited until they had something to announce.
Interesting, VICP hasn’t seen a 4500 share volume day in years. Someone is buying at over $7.
VICP seems to be getting small, but steady volume, with a nice move higher to $7. Is anything up with this company?
Man, these guys are putting me to sleep. Does it really take over a year to fully analyze 3D?
According to some chatter on Hot Copper, WDS indicated publicly that they will make a decision on Namibia in June or July. So we are getting close.
It is amazing how dead this board has become. The stock is at multi year highs in Australia and by all accounts we should be getting closer and closer to some good news regarding the 3D interpretation and farm-in announcement. I am hoping for a big summer for the stock.
Looks like we have a new CEO. The Aussie market seems to like it as the stock rose nicely on heavy volume.
Nice to see the stock performing consistently better. Seeing regular volume now in the US shares, holding at .019. The Aussie shares are seeing consistent volume and a price holding around .023. At some point soon they will need to announce some more detailed info on the 3D.
Good to see a million plus share trading day in PCOGF.
Huge volume and strong move higher to .023 in the Australian shares last night. News must be leaking. Hopefully we will get that farm-in announcement soon. I am surprised we haven't seen more action in the US shares this morning.
Looks like GSLR is now on the radar as it hit .43 today. This thing moves on air. With some news it could really fly.
There are massive oil finds all around us!
Big news out from Galp to the south of PEL 87 as they announce a significant oil discovery.
GSLR looks good. The 8-k looks very favorable with their commercial launch due soon. They also wrote of an aggressive investor relation to launch soon. The stock is thinly traded so any solid revenue news could really help the share price.
Looks like normal trading has resumed for SFWJ. I wish these guys would release some news and let us know what is going on.
Interesting company. Fully reporting solar play. Recent filing shows they are about to ramp up sales and public awareness.
Yep. Now it is showing a bid and ask. I sent the company an email complaining about it, so maybe they called and got it up and running again
Anyone know what is going on with SFWJ? They filed their financials. Yesterday the stock was trading normally, now there is no bid/ask. They announced a pr firm is now covering the stock this morning, so it is an odd time to not have a bid/ask to capitalize on the new coverage.
Lots of talk on Hot Copper from very relatable posters that we can expect final 3 D results and the Woodside news within the next month. Fingers crossed
Looks like Santos and Woodside may be merging. Doesn't Santos already own a % of Pel 87? The combined entity will have a big chunk of the lease and every incentive to maximize its value.
Aussie shares continue to trade strong at .018. uS shares may be quite undervalued by comparison.
Volume and buying returning to PCOGF. Good to see after the annual meeting
Things are looking up for PCOGF. Shares hit .019 on heavy volume in Australia yesterday after the annual meeting on very heavy volume. Looks like the uptrend is resuming. Drill results from neighbors due soon. Final 3D due very soon. Once those results are in Woodside will be in a position to exercise its option.
Annual meeting next week. Galp is drilling, results due soon.
I sent an email to see when they planned on filing their delinquent reports and haven't heard back.
Anyone still in SFWJ? Looks like they are behind on their filing requirements and are no longer being quoted a bid and ask on the OTC.
Annual meeting is next Tuesday along with webinar and Q & A session. We should get some updates and timelines.
Things look good. Hard to believe the US traded shares are down so much. Australian shares are starting to move higher again on decent daily volume, back up to .016. There is a big disparity in price between US shares and Aussie shares, even accounting for the currency translation. I would expect some foreign buying here soon as international investors take advantage of these low prices here. They can always sell higher on the Aussie exchange. Hopefully news will hit soon and all shares will rise.
This thread has died. The stock has lost all volume as well. There is a shareholder meeting in the next two weeks, which should present a good opportunity to release some news/updates. Lots of drilling in the area of Pel 87 going on right now. Those results could provide a positive catalyst. Final 3D datasets due soon and Jibby (the most knowledgeable guy on Hot Copper) seems to think wile will get a farm in announcement in January. So lots of potential positives in the coming weeks.
Hopefully today's news out of PCOGF https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-pel-87-project-update.7657798/ will take us back over .02 in the coming days. It has been submitted to Upstream, so we should get a nice news story from them spread to the entire energy investing community soon.
Big project update announced!
Hopefully the news will hit next week. A drilling commitment could easily take us back over .02.
Manuel, thanks for posting the info. If you follow Jibby on Hot Copper, he recently posted that he is expecting news in a week or so concerning PCL’s license renewal. He seems confident the news will include a drill commitment, which is required for the renewal. So if we can all hold on for another week, we should see some better stock action. He has been right on the money with his previous posts, even predicting the original Woodside option deal.
Jibby on Hot Copper wrote that big news is coming in the next few weeks concerning the license and drill commitment. He has been right on the money on his predictions before. He also wrote that the company received another 3D dataset last week, so maybe we will get some news on the newest data.
Africa Oil week is taking place this week. PanCon and WDS are attending. It is a great time to release some news.
PCOGF has to commit to a drill before the end of this year to get a permit renewal. Their ceo, and Sintana have estimated a Fall 2023 option exercise. So we could hear something anytime between now and the end of the year. Not much longer to wait.
I didn't get to listen to the Total call, but found this quote online-
Calling it "a potential new golden bloc," TotalEnergies announced a positive flow test from an exploration well, to be confirmed by another upcoming flow test. Further appraisal wells and prospects will be drilled, it said.
Thanks for the post Doug. I am looking forward to tomorrow's announcement from Total. The activity and possibilities in Namibia are very exciting.
Next Wednesday should be interesting. Total is supposed to reveal a new discovery in Namibia on Wednesday.
TotalEnergies is expected to lay out the potential for its oil discoveries in Namibia at an investor day next week as the French energy firm continues to bet on oil and gas to boost profits while also growing its low-carbon business. The group said this month it is considering a $9 billion oil and gas project in Suriname. Analysts are now keen to hear more about its recent exploration activity offshore Namibia - which has no oil and gas output now but could become one of the top 15 oil producers by 2035.
"Namibia could become the largest ever deep-offshore discovery for TotalEnergies, potentially surpassing Block 17 in Angola - the last "golden" block of TotalEnergies," Kepler Cheuvreux analyst Bertrand Hodée said. He estimates that two new blocks in Namibia, where Shell has also announced offshore oil and gas discoveries, could hold 4 billion barrels of reserves. That would take the total at the Venus field to 12 billion barrels, with a potential value of $4.1 billion for the French group.
Another 4 billion barrel find nearby Pancon. Now we just need WDS to exercise its option and start drilling. Can you imagine our share price if we start announcing multi-billion barrel discoveries?
