Correct - I'm thinking more along the lines that let's say everything is a total bust... Worse case scenario we have one nice user base with demographics that would be appealing to any big corporation.

You can do what we call a reverse phone append. What happens is that your phone number is sent to the credit bureaus and a couple of select agencies, then all the nice info they have on file then gets tagged to that record.

Call me crazy, but I'm not necessarily concerned with revenues. Naturally I want revs, but let's assume that none come from this at all however we get x amount of free downloads. If x is a big number that is just as good. If they get a free app that doesn't expire then even better.

Now we have a very very nice list (used for mailing or texting) with some good demographic info that can easily interest a large company. Data Mining at it's finest!

I did that all before cells and the internet too. We used to send letters confirming dates and such. It was hectic then, I can only imagine how it is now.

I think we are in good shape too. With how our culture is, this is a sweet little set up.

Your post comes out of the blue, but it goes with that I was thinking over the past few days so I half heartedly believe it. Half is pretty good, because I usually zero heartedly believe most here. (Except for a select few)

Anyway, the last company I worked for was a mid sized company in the industry I work in and was family owned. About 4 years ago, things got quieter and quieter. We also began losing many clients. After being in business for 24 years, the President (brother in the family) jumped ship, the VP (other brother) also jumped ship. Out of the blue, the sister in the family stepped up to the plate. We knew nothing as to why they jumped ship, and business got really slow. We got zero news or explanation as to what was going on. Things ground to a halt and since I like some security I jumped ship as well.

Last year, I got an email from someone still there and they tell me everyone was freaking out and a few people hung on, then in the end the company was bought by the parent company of the LA Times.

The lights just went on with me a couple of days ago and this whole scenario just reminded me of the OPMG saga going on now.

I still can't believe this 1971 guy thinks it's only these bands for a 30k stadium. I have a friend who is in a Grammy award winning band. They are very big and they don't even fill a 30k stadium except when they are on tour with Metallica or Iron Maiden.

You didn't call anything. We all knew this a few weeks back. These are just warm ups. There would be no need for a 30k seat stadium, if these were the only bands. If that were the case, it would be at the fair grounds.
