FWIW ... when asked about the Central Bank Sales, John Embry said that the US elections would be more significant as the powers that be will do whatever it takes. The Republicans can't afford to lose both the House and the Senate as Bush then would be impeached.
John Embry and Paul van Eeden were on Market Call at 12:30 yesterday with Jim O'Connell.

Schwab offers a good service. My husband had an account with them. We had to change it as we're in Canada now. Schwab Canada (now taken over by Scotia) accounts aren't as good.
That's handy information. Which company provides you with that data?
Thanks. I was misreading the nymex screen.
"There were reports of three central banks selling $33 million of gold, or roughly 56,000 ounces, O'Brien said. However, he said this occurred after the sell-off began."

Looks like OI is decreasing today. Not sure what this means as you can't tell if it is the longs or the shorters closing their position. Or can you?

Thank you, Louis.

How do you track the daily open interest? I thought that information was only available through the COT report which is published weekly.

If my theory stands, we have support for higher prices, short term.
Is that because the open interest is increasing while the commercials increase their short positions?
Thanks to everyone who responded. As I have the free membership on I-hub, I am unable to search threads or respond to private messages.
I look forward to reading the book. ;)

A while back someone on the thread recommended a book on Bre-X. I would appreciate it if someone could do a search of the thread and locate the post for me.

On Aug 9th NSU said "Working capital at June 30, 2004 was approximately $47 million, which is sufficient to meet the Company’s operating and development needs."
Wouldn't a financing be a surprise?

I believe it means that the same company is the buyer and the seller.
Thanks. I always appreciate your comments.

DM announced their 2Q results after the close today. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with RNO's weakness.

I think I see were the discrepancy arises from. The annual report was for Dundee Precious Metals while the SEC document was filed by Dundee Wealth Management.

(amarksp - Sorry I can't send a PM.)
Thanks. They haven't filed that information with SEDAR from what I can see. Perhaps as they have different rules.
So as of August 9th, 2004 Dundee owned 2,159,800 Common Shares of CLG or 3.97%.
I don't understand where I'm going wrong as the Dundee annual report states they owned 500,000 shares as of Jan 1, 2004. ???

Thanks again,
rt
According to Dundee's annual report (page 21) it states as of January 31st, 2004 they owned 500,000 shares of CLG.
What document had you copied the information from as I'm unable to find it?
Thanks in advance ...
