Puma Energy Completes Acquisition and Changes Name
New Chairman and Board Members Named HOUSTON, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Puma Energy, Inc. (PUMX)announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Blue Diamond Ventures, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: BLDV), an Oklahoma corporation with agricultural operations in Belize that consist primarily of sales of peppers and cocoyam and pepper seedlings.
The company plans to build upon the agricultural operations in Belize by expanding into goat farming, aqua farming and soy farming.
John Quincey Moaning, Marikis N. Alvarez, Jean Bell Manning, Gerald G. Richards, Willard C. Pitts and Betty L. Crum have been appointed to the company's board of directors, and Moaning has been named Chairman and President.
In connection with the acquisition, the company has changed its name to Blue Diamond Ventures, Inc. and changed its state of incorporation to Nevada. The company also has a new trading symbol: BLDV. Moaning, who has 15 years of agricultural experience, co-founded Blue Diamond in 2000. Prior to such time, he was vice president of New Technologies Distributions, Inc. Moaning holds a Bachelor of Arts from Langston University.
Alvarez has been an associate professor at Tuskegee University since 2000. He is also Advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries of Belize, Coordinator of Regional Planning Root Crops-ESARRN and Director of the Crops Division-CATIE. Alvarez holds an Associate in Science degree from the Jamaica School of Agriculture, a Bachelor of Science from Tuskegee University, Master of Science from Tuskegee University and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Minnesota.
Manning has been Vice President for Academic Affairs at Langston University since 1986, and prior to that time she was a high school and university English instructor. Manning received her Bachelor of Arts from Bishop College, a Master of Education from North Texas State University and a Doctor of Education from North Texas State University.
Richards was a Director of Public Affairs, Tri County Development Council from 1994 to 1996, and prior to such time he was Director of Head Start and Early Head Start Programs of Gulf Coast Community Services association, Inc. Richards holds a Bachelor of Arts from Our Lady of Holy Cross College, a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University, a Jurist Doctorate from Rutgers University and a LLM from Georgetown University.
Pitts is an Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Communication at Langston University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lincoln University, a Master of Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and an ABD from The University of Oklahoma.
Crum started, built and operated BALCO, a development/construction company with her late husband, Brandy Lanmon. She was co-owner and operations manager of Lanco, a word processing company, working with Diamond Shamrock, Aramco and Worthington coordinating oil and gas lease acquisitions, exploration and operational procedures into manuals for domestic and international activities. She has since served as an officer and director for Ley Industries, Inc., MBA, Inc., Multi-Business Investments, Inc. and other international investments and holding firms.
