So what is the issue with DRWN?
So who gets to buy SUGO?? I can't buy through TDAmeritrade due to DTCC. As a matter of fact I can't buy the majority of the stock shown here for the same reason. Is this an Ameritrade hangup? Should I move to another broker? Or should I be glad that I have this issue, keeping me out of trouble?
Someone maybe forgot to update things??
You should consider another look at UCHC, they are going through a reverse split.
They didn't use up shares, they lose 100 for every 1 outstanding when they do the split. Unless I misunderstand how it works, that would be a first now wouldn't it ;), when they do the reverse, that number of shares go away. They have to then make that number "available" again for issue if buying dictates. Remember, available does not mean outstanding until they are sold.
Just answerig the question.
If they have a plan they may as well work it and proceed with the split. Neither a split nor a/s (read "dillution" by some) is bad by virtue of themselves. They are tools for a company to use wisely or foolishly. So far there is no dillution, only an increase in available shares. That in and of itself has no bearing on anything except that it provides more for institutions should they decide to get in. Only time will tell what they have planned. What happens right after the split is primarily up to buyers and MMs. If people buy, it continues just like normal, if they don't, it stagnates. If the MMs will leave it alone it will stabilize and be ok, if they screw with it it will do whatever they want it to do. It is like any other stock really, play it or leave it, the split and AS have nothing to do with anything until the intentions are revealed.
The point that I ponder is that the stock is still there, and we still have the same money involved depending on how we played it. If you held on you are not in a great spot and will have to add money at a lower price and keep playing or take the loss and walk away, but if you sold quick and bought back in lower, or still have your cash to buy in tomorrow, you strengthened your position and should be able to earn back what you lost on the next uptick if nothing else. If the price drops further due to panic selling, wait until 2 or 1 and by all the millions that you can. If it recovers and rises a little, decide whether you want to recover your losses and maybe even profit, or hold and go into the split and work it on the other side. Then if it stabilizes and holds or increases, you maintained your investment, if it turns down, play it the same way you would any other downturn. At least at 01 02 or 03 you have room to work with a downturn, unlike 0001. Just my opinion and how I would work it. I am open to the suggestions of others.
My only real experience with a reverse split, prior to today of course, is with a company I used to work for. This was a solid company, making money, owned by institutions, and called one of the darlings of wallstreet. They ran into problems when mngmnt got too aggressive at buying out competition and bought some companies that had illegal baggage and wound up with a number of federal lawsuits to deal with. The bad press caused the stock to nosedive from $50 to $3. They did a three for one reverse to get the price up, but it never recovered. It tried to get from $9 to $12 for awhile and then back down and stayed in the $5 range. A bigger competitor bought the company out a few years later. I read about the reverse about the same time it was posted this morning and sold at market as fast as I could get the order in, and only lost about 30%. But now after letting the dust settle and having some time to think, I am ready to try to get back in at 2-3 and see what happens. I will have a little over twice my original position so will have enough horsepower to still have a significant position after the split. The stock will not vanish into thin air and may very well do fine at the new price point, it all depends on how it is traded by the MMs, just like now. If they choose to short it again it will decline until they stop, but I am sure that we will be able to get a little more profit either before it starts a significant decline, or play the downturns and upticks if nothing else. If worse comes to worse and the company starts dilluting again, WE can always earn profit shorting it on the way down, effectively getting the last laugh. I don't see that happening necessarily, but can see the disgusting MM manipulation resume.
Trust me, you don't want the company involved. I was all excited and sent an email asking the company to address the decline from $2 to $.002, to maybe help get the recovery into high gear. When there was no response to that email, I eventually sent another, pointing out that a movement back up was under way, and asking them again to help things out with a PR. This time the company got involved, right in the middle of a bounce, their idiot CEO posted a PR saying that the product and revenue was a year away, effectively causing the rebound to come to a grinding halt. Their idiot IR firm allowed the idiot CEO to do this. Praying that the PR was not prompted by one of MY emails, I sent them a third one thanking the idiot CEO and the idiot IR firm for their idiotic tactic. There was no response to that email either. The stock does best when the company stays out of it.
I don't know it all, so please explain to me how an MM can fake an 8k.
Got you. I didn't really understand what you meant. Sounded like you were saying someone or some group was buying the stock down.
Down to what and when?
Did anybody else just see how fast the 10,000,000 .0006s vanished??? Into thin air in about a second and a half.
When might one expect this to happen?
I guess a buy is a buy, I just didn't think that $25 would move it. This may have inspired more buying earlier in the day.
I just moved it to 5 by buying 50,000!!!
I just moved it to 5 by buying 50,000.
10,000 then 1,000,000 shares @.0003 purchased at 9:10. I hope that is an indicator of something good.
I am new here so I have to ask, does anyone ever get a response from the company?
I don't say this to argue. I really honestly don't know what you mean. NITE has one of the two highest bids @ .043, and is asking more than two other MM's @ .048, and it has been that way for more than an hour. How in the world is it that they are controlling anything in a negative way? They, presumably, are bidding and asking what their clients are trying to buy and sell stock for. I read people complain about CSTI, yet every time I buy or sell, I see my shares posted appropriately. I trade with Ameritrade, and when I buy or sell it comes up with CSTI. If I bid or ask more than their current prices, mine become the new ones. I just don't see the manipulation that everyone talks about.
Why aren't you hanging out here any more? Or did I misunderstand?
There is nothing illegal about buying at more than the ask. We are talking about pennies, and if someone bought at a higher price, and the "last" suddenly goes up, it may spark a movement.
My account is empty of cash, or I would buy some at .10 or .12. Hint hint. Look at all of the MMs lined up to sell at .10+. You will make money once it goes on up from there.
They won't let me play. I am trying to sell my extra 750 shares at the bid of .056, so that I can buy back a few at .12, and no one is buying.
They did put a PR out:

This may not be enough for some, but from experience, it is 100% more than I have seen from others in similar circumstances.
I wish smart would get smarter enough to say something about this stock price decline and turn it into two dollars a share again.
I saw the 666 today and thought of you. Does that signify a reversal of the trend or just a downward slide? I expected that we would see and end to the declining price and maybe signal an uptrend. It certainly seemed to stop everyone in their tracks. But trading was eerily slow anyway.
.0664 not showing in "ask." Someone must be buy at market.
Do we have a hammer?
If you have a spare whiskey barrel and a couple of straps I can borrow, I will have something to wear. I will gladly pay you Tuesday, or when dimi gets to .20, for a barrel today.
I don't know what the 666 thing is, please explain.
It sure looks like you will get your red close. Sure hope the rest is correct.
Garyst,
Thanx for the PM. I don't have PM, but got yours. I will keep your advice handy.
Did my streamer break. Stuck on 93,600.
Thank You, I always appreciate good advice.
Thanx CC, I apreciate the info, and the PM. I couldn't reply back to the post or PM because I still use a free account. Thanx again though, GL to all of us tomorrow.
Thank You. Glad I found this opportunity.
You are exactly correct. I used to love to play retail stocks. They would dolphin their way up and down and up and down all year, while climbing from their lows in the first quarter to their highs in the "golden quarter" through the holidays. You could easily double and triple your money every year and not work all that hard. The world of pinks is very different and I am scrambling to get my hands on learning material. I do love the way you can make money on a much smaller investment, since money is in short supply at the moment. But buddy they are right about the increased risk. I hope the poster that I originally started communicating with doesn't get discouraged. Hey, I read where you say you play guitar. I play as well, studied the blues. Playing keys lately though, and studying classical piano along with my daughter. been in a few different bands over the last twelve years or so. Moonlight on the drums when needed. Love the gig.
I think that my biggest mistake is to hold everything for too long. I tend not to stagger anything, I buy and sell all or nothing. I need to develop a good strategy of taking out profit. I just hate to sell, then have less stock working. I guess that is greed on my part. That strategy works much better in the NYSE than the NASDQ also.
