Oil prices at 2012 levels, load factors really high, holiday travel season coming (yes...despite Ebola panic, people will still pack our jets, but you'll have some outliers that will not fly....great chance this is behind us by then anyway), and institutional investors licking their chops. It's only a loss if you sell folks.
For what it's worth, my broker has counseled me to hold the stock. He says I will be rewarded for doing so. In my opinion, once this Ebola panic lets up (and it will) we will readjust to the up side.
The "Henny Penny" effect has taken hold for sure. But you can't convince people to step back, look at the overall picture......and calm down. All valid points here. I fly jets for AAL and will do all I can to increase shareholder value, because, like most of you here, I own the stock.
Man...glad it wasn't bad news today. What part of record profits, etc. did everybody selling miss?????
Bought in at the bottom today at .0021. Failed promotion or not, this company does exist, does have a product (beautiful by the way..I've seen it), and I believe that this will go up over time. GLTA!
Working on it brother!
AMR retirees dont rely on AMR stock as their nest egg. I hope your uninformed opinions don't cause people here to unwisely invest in this stock. Common shares will likely be liquidated in bankruptcy.
I'm a pilot with AMR. To put it mildly, you are clueless. The failure of this airline falls SQUARELY on very poor business decisions made by management starting with TWA in 2000 and the propping up of our feeder, American Eagle. Then the Cornerstone strategy and Shrink to Profitability. They don't have a clue as to how to run an airline......and neither do you. How much are my skills in the cockpit worth to you by the way? Southwest pilots make FAR more than what I make because management there is skilled and they know how to run an airline. If I hear one more uninformed opinion that the unions brought AMR down, I think I'll vomit!
My hope is that some entity purchases this as a shell.
I don't think this is a scam. A scam would NEVER be run like this IMO. My gut tells me Kuni is trying and probably failing, but I hope I have to eat my words. Worst case scenario......the acquisition process fails and we go back to square one OR company folds. Best case....acquisition comes to pass and we all benefit and hopefully, PIHN starts to really grow. Take your pick. GLTA!
How are things in Bama. Likely moving back to AL from northeast very soon!
You need to insert a LOL with your post.......c'mon honest Abe! Live up to your user name!
Sushi my friend......lots and lots of sushi! Did I mention saki?
Here is the reality for all of us. No matter how much you invested or the price point at which you made your investment, we currently sit at .0001 with the occasional tick/movement in price. At this point, what more will you lose by holding and waiting? Realistically, nothing more. Most are upside down on this play (definitely the longs like Popeyes and me....15 months in for me). It pans out or it doesn't and I'll wait. I've come this far. Everyone needs to (really no choice) hang in there and continue to play the waiting game. Best to all!
Definitely a meatier update with more of an explanation as to the nature of delays and progress on many fronts. Sounds very logical to me......just my opinion.
Why did you do that before the status of the acquisition is still not fully known????? You potentially just further complicated any legitimate business transaction and placed everyone's investment at further risk. You have the right to do so but your timing at this juncture is highly questionable IMO. Penny
That would be the wisest way to do it actually so word could get out prior to the actual close and we could slowly build buying pressure in advance of the announcement. That would be a nice end of year surprise.
Let me make an observation and I apologize in advance as I am intimately involved in what is going on at AMR. As an AMR shareholder and first officer/pilot with the company........you get what you pay for! I brought my 25 years of military flying experience to AMR in what I thought was my dream job as a professional pilot. In 2003, I took a 23% pay cut off a 1997 contract to KEEP this company out of bankruptcy. My medical insurance costs have skyrocketed and my hard earned pension is now in shambles. That 23% pay cut didn't matter. I will now be forced to take another 10-30% pay cut on top of that and will effectively be making less than the janitor at my son's private school. I'm potentially down over 50% of my 1997 income if the 30% scenario were to play out. There is no advancement and I will now commute to my pilot base from my home to be on call/reserve 19 days a month hard time away from my family.
What is my experience worth to any of you in the cockpit when YOU fly? Do you want me, or do you want a pilot with 500 hours just out of college with not a lick of air sense about him/her?
The tragedy is my skill sets have become so diminished in value in the eyes of the company and passengers that I can no longer sustain a career at this airline and will retire early in two years with little to nothing to show for it. I'm literally better off driving a bus than driving an airplane!
You will truly get what you pay for!
Its a tough economy right now for pretty much everybody. Let's wait to see what this acquisition, if it materializes, brings us in terms of projected revenues/profits.
You know.........my average is about .00055 and I really don't have a big position in this. It really can't go any lower than it is now so for me to sell at this point is IMO not an option. If it goes NO BID, then I've lost. But, I again choose to be an optimist and don't think that will happen. The acquisition of Staff IS shows that PIHN is in the acquisitions game and the current acquisition has alot more moving parts to it that Staff did. IMO patience (yes.....an inordinate amount of it and penny investors aren't known for that generally) will be rewarded in this case. If Kuni is looking at this company strategically and is looking 5-10 years down the road (again, penny stock investors don't do that generally)in terms of the moves he's making currently, then he's in no hurry to close this until it puts Polaris in the best position possible to profit........and GROW! That I will support and that is my belief. Good luck in whatever decisions you make Ken.
On the bright side, maybe he's intentionally being quiet for 1) legal reasons, and 2) to soak up as many cheapies as he can before we go..............KABOOM!!!! Dream on Penny, dream on!
Rome wasn't built in a day and in regards to Kuni, I tend to agree. Is it worth his time with an already established business to try and deceive us stockholders out of what amounts to thousands of dollars? I don't think so. It is a gamble, but if you don't like gambling, go invest in GE or some big oil company. Nature of things down here. All my opinion of course. GLTA!
I'm pretty sure I was with you on that particular play Popeyemag. I got out with some semblence of money and pride left intact after getting taken for a ride like everyone else there. "Up, up and away" was definitely a "crash landing" if you get my meaning. This play appears to be very different. No pumping or hype by the CEO and previous success with acquisitions plus real revenue stream. Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm hangin' in there and hope you do to!
Cheers.....Penny
Moderators. Needs to be a sticky post.......we're headed in the right direction. A picture paints a thousand words. IMO patience will pay off here.
I think the best we can hope for at this point is that another company buys this up as a shell and we get the traditional pop. See MLXO.
Here here Ken.......great post! I buy on my own terms and believe there is a huge upside potential with this fledgling company. Some of the dysfunctional banter on not only this board, but all penny stock boards, cracks me up. You bought it and nobody made you pull the trigger. Now either grow up and live with your investment or get out. Its rare to find patience anymore. Patiently waiting has been replaced by instant gratification. I've been in this stock for a long time now and believe that IMO this will work out just fine for those holding an interest here. BUT.....I WON'T COMPLAIN!!
Good post........Kuni is getting things done his way. If he does this right, value will follow IMO. Its ALWAYS a struggle between what we desire NOW and what is best in the long run. E-mail is very encouraging! Standing by.
I'll echo that and thank you for your service Ken. I am also a newly minted Air Force retiree and agree with you that it was the best 25 years of my life and very rewarding personally and professionally. Feels strange to be out, but also enjoying my life outside the USAF and the rough deployment schedule.
Penny
Kind of like real estate......whatever the buyer determines the value to be. .0004 or .004 or .4 or 4.00. Not even a fair question at this point because we don't know WHAT is being acquired or really how much more value it brings to Polaris. I wouldn't be here if I didn't judge Kuni to be an honest man with honest intentions in building this company into something progressively bigger. But again, in the pennies, its almost all speculation. Just the way it is.
....as circumstances WARRANT and ALLOW. Key words are highlighted here. No timelines, and updates when its appropriate within the process. If you've actually INVESTED in a penny stock, then you are of the mind that you are willing to wait to see how things transpire, good or bad. I'm waiting, plain and simple.
Anyone with TD Ameritrade see their dividend yet?
That's the spirit. While the overall numbers are mildly disappointing, there are some very positive signs here. FWIW! Good luck to you CTad!!!
So many other inferences with this report. One is that Kuni appears to be very transparent with the numbers. He's not hiding what appears to be disappointing news. He's not pumping this stock and that in and of itself reflects that this is legitimate IMO!! This is IMO a legitimate business venture and my belief is that Kuni is very deliberate and disciplined in the way he builds this. The problem for shareholders in the sub penny realm is that these stocks are generally played on hype and not much else. To be invested in a sub penny company that is legitimate pretty much goes against the grain of investors here. Buy.....pump.....sell ain't workin' here for the majority. I'm pretty confident that eventually, this will become a nice, solid, and profitable small business that will have a stock price that reflects such. Patience is a rare commodity in the pinks. Buiding a legitimate business takes time.......time is something most investors here just don't have the stomach for and I understand that. You will not be able to talk this stock up to a higher PPS........only performance will in this case. I wish all of you well!!!
Looks to me like Japan ops (Staff IS) are VERY profitable but getting the business going in the US is costing them some coin right now to the tune of approx. $94,300 loss for the year, which nets to about $23,500 every three months. Not that bad. Most start ups take time to become profitable and I've seen much worse numbers with much higher net losses. IF they can close the SoCal acquisition, I think the company will be just fine. I know everyone here wanted GREAT news, including me of course, but its apparent that this is going to take some time to turn the corner and remain profitable. If you want a positive spin on this, it was a fairly small loss overall and Japan ops are nicely profitable. Its obvious Kuni can put together a profitable operation based on Staff IS, but getting established in the US is a challenge right now. I'm holding for what IMO will be good news and progress down the road, but again that's just my opinion. I won't sell this for a loss and my average is .000548. I know practicing patience is tough, but if you've put some speculative money on this company, and the price continues to channel in the 2-4 range, then what is the harm in waiting? I for one do not believe that PIHN is a scam and some will call it such. Times are tough right now........we all know that. To each his/her own. Just trying to inject some calmness here. Wish all of you the best of luck.......I'm staying.
I'm in Alabama too (Montgomery), but too busy with family in town. Thanks for the invite. GLTY Jim!!!
Doesn't mean this is a scam Abe.........but the shifting sands don't instill confidence in shareholders. Kuni does have a record for doing what he says he will do.....thats why I invested a couple grand. Like most, this will go up eventually. GLTY!!!!
Sent Chuck a request for an update on FL acquisition. Should have been updated with the update. Like some of you have stated, more questions than answers and does nothing to increase confidence in Polaris going forward. I so wish they would simply lay it out in direct terms so we know what is going on. Pretty poor update IMO!
I'm in. Crazy to bail at this point without substantive news one way or another. But, I think its going to go our way and the news when it arrives will be very positive and welcome....standing by!
The official website for Polaris International Holdings is www.polaris-int.com. Anything else at this point is simply chasing rabbits down rabbit holes IMO. Evidence points to attempted manipulation of the stock.
The actual website is www.polaris-int.com. Anything else is indeed just a joke. Let's not go down this road again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
Lack of patience....a rare commodity in this day and age. Also, how many of those sells are actually buys at the bid? They are likely not all sells but will show as such.
GLTY!!
