never. words. truer. were.
But the 10x10 space hidden next to the storage closet in Vegas will no doubt attract at least a dozen new prospects. Maybe they'll fly some helium balloons with CDEX on them in big bold letters, so no one will have trouble finding their booth.
No doubt even JB himself will be there, to illustrate what a hands-on CEO he is.
Trading day's just about over and no buys or sells. Maybe there'll be a flurry of activity in the last 15 minutes.
... which dump creates a great buying opportunity for anyone looking for a bargain! (I think that's how it's usually rationalized.)
Some pretty funny stuff evidently going on overnight here.
The day's barely begun and the price has tumbled over 25%.
Let's see if anyone snaps a bunch of these hot shares up at this super bargain basement post-Thanksgiving/pre-Christmas-rush special.
deja vu all over again (tm yogi berra)
"The drop-down list shows CDEX at an interesting booth location - 2107."
That's an "interesting" location, capn? A great big 10'x10' space tucked neatly in a corner next to a storage area is "interesting"?
Be still my heart.
But maybe in his keynote Pres Clinton will single CDEX out as the company to watch, the miracle story and CEO of 2012/2013, the comany that only a few weeks ago emerged from Chpt 11 with bucketfuls of new cash and is now doing final tweaking on the technology that eliminates all problems with identifying illegal and/or diverted drugs.
Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Think you could convince him to do that? And maybe even casually drop the name Pulitzer into his remarks?
Celldex Therapeutics (CLDX) 5.40 +0.15 +2.86% Nov 20, 4:55PM
So ... I guess it was the great trading symbol assigner in the sky who got things tangled up.
JB's announcement that viking posted says nothing about any other company being involved with the company currently known as cdex, previously known as loch harris. So taking jb's announcement at face value, it simply now has a new listing symbol and he really doesn't need to do more than announce the change, which he did.
No doubt mp is happy about the new symbol.
However...
as crowe pointed out and is publicly posted for all to see, JB writes of CDEX Inc, not of Celldex.
So it still could be a mistake by whoever records ticker changes.
If it's NOT a mistake, how did sexi cexi get around the use of the ticker trading letters - around not being able to use those letters in the past, and now being able to?
C'mon, JB ... speak up.
Point of reference:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=81362541
So the now-you-see-it-now-you-don't oncology agreement with some favorite names attached served a purpose. When nothing came of the hoped for Baxter "connection" - well ... time to look for another company to "connect" with.
Why do I suspect that JB was being somewhat economical with the truth in this statement:
"The [oncology] agreement was terminated to enable the unrestricted marketing of the new G4 ValiMed unit."
That's like a restaurant saying "We're no longer going to offer guests coffee after dinner so the servers can devote full attention to washing the water glasses."
Nonsequitur.
My guess is the whole effort was the brainchild of Dr. Terrell. After all, you don't get to be summa cum laude just because you have a nice smile. And soonly thereafter his new role with the company was glowingly announced, followed almost immediately by the company's voluntary BK. What a stunning sequence of events!
Presumably Wade will now no longer be needed to tweak anything ever again. He can spend all his time playing with telescopes and enjoying the damages he won in the payoff that well exceeded his claim. Why was it so big?
Here's a possibility.
"Go away, Wade, and go away quietly. Read: don't start talking out of school. About anything. Here, will this make it easier for you to behave? Consider it a small token of the high esteem we hold you in."
But butt butter! The name of the company at least as indicated everywhere is spelled differently and focused on something loch aka cdex has never gotten into, to my knowledge.
Whatever's going on, a changed company direction or a case of mistayken identity made by whoever assigns trading codes ... I still say the CEO of cdex (that would be Jeffrey Brumfield) should issue a public clarifying statement.
But maybe it better serves his purposes to let the misteak stand.
Keep scrolling down. The link's long and broken up by the ad on the page.
http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&rlz=&q=celldex+therapeutics+inc.+cldx&oq=%22Celldex+Therapeutics%22&gs_l=igoogle.1.4.0l5j0i10i30j0i30l4.1719.10891.0.20781.22.22.0.0.0.0.218.2702.3j17j1.21.0...0.0...1ac.1.2eepnUtVQ4Q
Looks like a great-assigner-of-trading-symbols glitch.
I still think JB owes an explanation, if in fact it is cexi whose symbol has changed to cdex.
For starters, why?
Since it was one of those things that MP just hated, does this mean he still has enough clout to make JB agree to this change?
What other control does MP still retain (or did he acquire) as the result of JB's successful court pleadings?
Your turn at the mike, JB.
Has there been a name change (and spelling change, even, and direction change to "therapeutics") for the company everyone knows and loves so well, which I thought was spelled with one 'l' and into drug detection? Has cexi been bought out? Or has the great assigner of trading symbols in the sky just messed up?
Maybe JB will clarify. One would think he'd do so before the market opens today, to avoid the sheer chaos that's inevitable when everyone rushes in to buy (or sell).
edit ... I now see a special alert and it says nothing about the therapeutics Co. I think Mr. Brumfield owes everyone an explanation.
Why is Celldex Therapeutics heading the volume chart?
Diddy, do you remember where it was (in which doc) or who gave the estimate?
arloco/crowe ... see capnmike's post
He says he remembers seeing something in the court docs in which Gemini (maybe - could have been another entity) estimated a shareholder number in the thousands. Can either of you find what he's referring to?
capnmike ... in your 38986, you said "...the association and/or collection of Jeff Brumfield, Dr. Stevenson, Dr. Wade Poteet, Mr. Starzinger, Brian Michael Jenkins, and the thousands of CDEX shareholders that include pennstreet, capnmike, etc etc, "
I asked you about that "thousands of CDEX holders" in my 38989. I posted: "Care to give the source of that information, which you've offered up as an unqualified statistic?"
Maybe you missed my question before (benefit of the doubt). Both posts still stand so you can read them to verify them, if you'd like.
Please give the source of your "thousands of CDEX holders" factoid.
capnmike ... "thousands of CDEX shareholders"? Care to give the source of that information, which you've offered up as an unqualified statistic?
Or were you just hoping to make a save after another avatar's fumble?
Also you stated: "I really do think 2013 will be a big year for CDEX shareholders, and I will probably go silent before then as I plan to do no chat board posting once I consider selling rather than buying and holding CEXID."
I'm trying really really hard to make sure I understand what you mean. I think you're trying to say you're going to go silent while you're considering selling, which you say will "probably" be before the big stuph you see coming down the pike for 2013.
Whta I don't get is why you'd sell when the pps finally starts climbing. Why wouldn't you keep leading the cheering squad to keep it climbing? Perhaps your breakeven point is really low. Or is it just a simple case of buy on the rumor, sell on the news? Or maybe you've decided to help pump the price up for as long as it takes with your timeless prose and witty taglines for, say, the next several months and then when you're sure a super PR is just about to be published you'll "consider" selling and soonly dump (or drip-sell) and let other sh'holders fend for themselves, your good Samaritan work for the company all done?
streetpenn ... you state:
"Most users of this IHUB Cdex,Inc board are shareholders, which is the company."
Can you support the first part of your statement (about "most users") with proof? If so, please provide it.
But what difference does that make anyway? Is there some IHub rule that requires a poster to hold shares in a company's stock before being permitted to post on its free, public chat board? If so, please quote the rule for me, as I seem to have missed it.
Furthermore, I think you'd agree that it's a stretch to say the shareholders are the company. One could say that in a manner of speaking shareholders OWN the company and that the company's principals work for them, but hardly that they, the shareholders, ARE the company.
I don't see any evidence at all in the extended quote pennstreet offered up to "prove" that all is well and moving right along in cdexville. Just some parroting of the written words attributable to the current ceo.
for added clarity: my earlier post refers to post 38971, as does 38982.
So maybe it IS another, new plan being figgered out. And therefore not anything the court has seen.
The assertion by JB was that important stuph would be happening by the end of the year. But he can claim the BK proceedings delayed things more than he and his team of pros realized and it'll now be St. Patrick's day before product income is realized from sales or leases (as opposed to freebee placements).
Maybe in the next PR he'll avoid nonspecific, grandiose, sweeping generalizations and just tell it like it is, item by item, from cuvettes on up, instead of serving up more hyperbole like "its leading edge products in the healthcare markets with the ValiMed G4 medication safety system and in the security market with its ID2 Meth Scanner and Pocket ID2 Meth Scanner." Leading edge products in TWO MARKETS, no less! W H O does he think buys that palaver!
Anyway, maybe this time he'll recognize that people are a lot smarter than he and his minions give them credit for.
One can hope.
If not, if it's just more of the same, plus ca change all over again.
Crowe ... You saw it long before most of us. See your post 35047 from over a year ago.

They've had lots of time to refine their technique.
Also ... remember the company's short-lived interest in oncology (now you see it, now you don't)?:
EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
This Exclusive Distribution Agreement (this "Agreement") is made effective as of the 20th day of August, 2010, (the "Effective Date") by and between CDEX, Inc., a Nevada Corporation ("CDEX") and the signatories below (“Signatories”):
WHEREAS, CDEX owns chemical detection technologies and has developed products from these technologies for the validation of drugs and the detection of illicit substances, which it has marketed in several industries; and
WHEREAS, CDEX desires to develop products based on its technology for application in Oncology by raising a total of $1.5 million to fund technology and product development of such products; and
WHEREAS, certain Signatories (“Initial Signatories”)desire to establish an exclusive distribution network for products developed by CDEX for application in Oncology and are willing to provide initial funding of $280k towards the goal of $1.5 million, which will be met by additional funds from the Initial Signatories or by additional funds from additional Signatories (“Additional Signatories”).
NOW THEREFORE, CDEX and Signatories (each a “Party” and together the “Parties”) do hereby agree as follows:
1. EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBTION RELATIONSHIP
1.1. CDEX Grant of Exclusivity: CDEX hereby grants Signatories exclusive distribution rights within the United States ... etc
followed on June 15, '11 by this PR, reflecting the previous 8 months of the oncology agreement:
Second Quarter 2011 Financial Results
– Total revenues for the second quarter ended April 30, 2011 were approximately $96,000 a 47% increase compared to $65,000 for the second quarter of 2010. The $31,000 increase was primarily attributable to the oncology exclusive distribution agreement, ...
Kinda makes it sound as if they were selling something or other connected with oncology work/research/whatever, doesn't it.
And then oh dear the agreement was terminated just a couple of months later.
9. Deferred Revenue
During the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2010, the Company received approximately $483,000 under our Exclusive Distribution Agreement (“Agreement”) effective August 20, 2010, with a number of signatories including PEMCO, LLC and Messrs. Peter Maina, Thomas Payne (a former Director of the Company), Robert Stewart, and Scott Newby (“the “Signatories”). The Agreement grants exclusive United States distribution rights for all products developed by CDEX for application in the field of Oncology. The Agreement was terminated in the fourth quarter of 2011 and all of the then deferred revenue under the Agreement was recognized. 8,670,000 shares of restricted Common stock, valued at $433,500 were issued to terminate the agreement. The termination is reflected net of the remaining previously unrecognized deferred revenue of $364,833 in the statement of operations. The agreement was terminated to enable the unrestricted marketing of the new G4 ValiMed unit.

I think it's fair to say a couple of things.
1. JB isn't clever enough to figger this out on his own; but he's had the invaluable help of his minion in chief, none other than our very own pennstreet.
2. They're perfectly comfortable sailing very close to the wind. After all, MP taught them how to fly under the radar and how to keep intelligent "investors" on his team.
imo, anyone who credits any of the cdex perps with an ounce of integrity and thinks their ship - or even just the dinghy - is ever going to come in is a foole.
Late in the city that never sleeps so all fer now.
At least I'm assuming he can change his court-approved plan as long as he gives a reason - reason being the high price of coffee or anything else that's made the company less effective as it works hard to meet its sales goals.
But I really don't know. Maybe he can't.
sorry, mikel, you're a day late and more than a dollar short. I guess you didn't really read this after all.
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=81267127
btw ... ready yet to answer the question I asked you?
You now want me to answer your questions when you've chosen not to answer mine? That's truly rare!
Figger it out, Mikel, or don't, as you wish.
It wouldn't take such an lbp (long boring post, tm me) to give an opinion, would it?
1st para ... should have read "whether UNintentionally or by design"!
CDEX is not always clear in its press releases. Sometimes they even mislead, exaggerate or obfuscate, whether intentionally or by design.
To illustrate, this year-old PR (my comments in parens in green follow red-highlighted text):
TUCSON, AZ–(Marketwire – Oct 3, 2011) – CDEX Inc. (OTCBB: CEXI), a leading developer of chemical detection products, (there has been no evidence at all that cdex is a "leading developer" of chemical detection products, either based on reputation or contracts/sales. This however is a mantra oft repeated.) using patented (I'll give this one a pass since indeed there apparently are a couple of somewhat useful patents associated with cdex) technologies for use in healthcare, safety and security markets, announced today the company has shipped (this has been done to death - 'shipped' gives no indication whatsoever regarding whether or not the shipment was a purchase or lease by/to the recipient, or a gift.) the first ValiMed™ G4 drug validation system to a prominent US based global medical technology company. (I'll also give this one a pass, because contracts at sensitive stages are often written without identifying the name of the other company.) The company intends using the ValiMed G4 as a lab instrument for a research and development project to determine the shelf life of parenteral admixtures with regards to potency over time. (There has been no followup communication indicating the outcome of that R&D project. Is it still ongoing? Has it ended? What was learned?)
The medical technology company is focused on improving drug delivery, enhancing the quality and speed of diagnosing infectious diseases and cancers, and advancing research, discovery and production of new drugs and vaccines. The company serves healthcare institutions, life science researchers, clinical laboratories and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
“We are honored the ValiMed G4 was chosen to play a critical role in this research project which we believe further validates the breadth of use for our technology. We are excited to ship the first unit of our enhanced ValiMed G4 device to an industry leading medical technology and diagnostic company; this relationship should provide an optimum platform to build our ValiMed G4 market penetration and reputation in the industry. (well ... has it? As already noted, no followup public communication - public as befits a public company - at all.) We expect to deliver additional ValiMed G4 units as the market interest continues to spread,” (same comment ... it's a year later and what evidence, if any, is there of spreading market interest?) stated Jeff Brumfield, chairman and chief executive officer of CDEX.
The ValiMed G4 drug validation system helps (present tense 'helps' from a year ago? yet no org names given to support this claim.) healthcare providers ensure patient safety and control costs by reducing medication errors. The patented detection process identifies drug strengths and volume-by-weight in real-time, validating proper dose, diluents and concentration of high-risk compounded medications and treatment solutions. The VG4 device will help (applause, applause. Correct tense and presumably testable against the compliance requirements and guidelines) healthcare facilities comply with Joint Commission compliance requirements and USP 797 guidelines for compounding sterile preparations (CSPs), and will integrate (I'll let this one pass, too, since no doubt the EMR platforms are easily identifiable and CDEX presumably wouldn't make a flat statement that could be easily refuted.) with electronic medical record (EMR) platforms.
About CDEX
CDEX develops, manufactures and globally (let's see ... what are the global countries and organizations that CDEX products have been distributed to? Have any been returned? Were any paid for or were they gifted? These of course are old questions, and ones most of us know the answers to.) distributes products to the healthcare, safety and security markets. The ValiMed™ product line provides life-saving validation of high-risk medications and pharmacy returned narcotics. The ID2™ product line detects trace amounts of illegal drugs, such as methamphetamine. CDEX expects to advance its patented technologies to serve additional markets in the future where its proprietary products can be launched.
(My summary comment on this year-old PR: It raised hope among old and new investors in the company, but as has been the case with this company historically, one can assume nothing came of any of it or additional PRs to that effect would have been published.)

Similarly, posters here are often less than clear, whether by accident or by design. For the sake of clarity, I earlier indicated with these exact words that "I am a rank amateur (and dumkoff) when it comes to patents."
I don't think those words could be any clearer, and I very much appreciate the efforts of other patent-savvy posters to educate me on patents in general and CDEX patents in particular.
Took me, a rank amateur and dumkoff when it comes to patents, about 5 minutes to find these.

Thanks, Diddy.
So they have as their IP:
patented cuvettes;
an un-useful Xray-related patent;
an expired Valimed-related patent;
an applied-for patent for a product called G4 that has yet to be reduced to practice; and
a couple of others
plus a manual with just a TofC for one of the above?
All these spinoff products blur.
Blurry or not, things just don't sound too promising for anything important being built or tweaked and delivered (or whatever the term of art was) by the end of this year.
BUT to give them their due ... we're told they're current on payments!
What payments, I wonder ... to the company they owed regular payments (royalties?) to for impinging on THEIR patent for something or other a while back?
No wonder there's a certain reluctance from the leaders of the company to publicly disclose with any degree of candor or precision or transparency where they are on the question of products and patents.
What's wrong with this entire picture? For starters, there's a whole lot of game playing going on.
But according to pennstreet, JB has stated that all will be golden by the end of the year, and capnmike is euphoric about what lies ahead.
Hard to believe it's been a dozen long years that some people have been waiting for some ROtheirI - more than 12, if you count the other brilliant ideas the company under its sundry names and CEOs has come up with through the years, from palace security systems to moon-powered windmills and specially bred cattle and not to forget those incredible edible cotton seeds (all before my time) and then of course the two cappers: the remarkable little elf and the promise of vammp that took the sp into the stratosphere only to crash within days when Jonathon Weil wrote his expose.
I guess weary shareholders who still care are more than happy to stand pat for 6-8 weeks more to watch their little sailing vessel work her way back out to sea again for her next spin around the harbour, a revitalized JB at the helm.
Hope springs eternal.
Sure have.
I might do that. Or ask someone not with this company who knows how to find patent information to find it.
Alternatively, I might just wait and see what happens.
You never answered my question, capnmike. Were you threatening me this morning?
"Regarding the patents, all are up to date."
Don't know what you mean by "up to date" unless you mean fees are current, not in arrears. Is that what you mean?
Exactly what ARE the patents, or patents pending, pennstreet?
To be more precise: specifically what piece or element of all products or potential products does each one of those "all" (patents) cover? Not a generalization lumping them all together as if they were all under the same patent number. Identify each specific item or element or procedure by a specific patent (or pending) number, svp.
Plus, what person or other legal entity is the holder of each of those patents (or pending) - names please.
capnmike ... re an earlier post of yours:
"... we have a company with few road blocks, so performance can now be reasonably expected by we shareholders that made the decision to hold and especially those shareholders that actively stepped in and actually worked for the milestone event emerging from the 11."
Coupla points, capn.
1. "few road blocks" - don't you consider getting the G4 "implemented live" (what does that actually mean?) in multiple institutions by the end of this year a "road block"? Maybe it isn't, but it certainly is a major hurdle, since the end of the year is only about 6-7 weeks away.
2. You quoted Dr. Terrell at length. He stated at hire or appointment or whatever it was: "I am excited to join the outstanding team at CDEX. The technology promises to have a global impact in multiple industries. I believe the Valimed G4 will revolutionize parenteral medication safety practices and narcotic diversion control in both healthcare and closely related industries,”
and
"What’s really exciting is that CDEX’s patented technology can be applied to the analysis of blood, urine, saliva, and other bodily fluids. Preliminary data suggests that the technology provides many advantages over current diagnostics techniques, including the ability to detect lower molecular concentrations, increased sensitivity and specificity with real-time analysis. One of my goals as medical director is to facilitate additional research studies and trials in these areas to expand future product use.”
"patented technology" - there seems to be some disagreement on here re what part of the technology is actually patented. Can you shed any light on that?
"Preliminary data suggests that the technology provides many advantages over current diagnostics techniques... etc" Suggesting isn't the same as proving, of course, particularly without the data. Many things have been suggested over the years about this company. Seems to me people are pretty tired of suggestions about what could be and are looking for evidence of what purportedly is.
Dr. Terrell states that he is with cdex, at least in part, to "facilitate additional research studies and trials in these areas to expand future product use.” Will you define 'facilitate' pls, as you believe he meant it? As I'm sure you know, it can have several meanings and it would be helpful to know how he meant it.
Thx.
well, mike ... I'm very sorry to hear your health is poor.
You didn't stir any grammar police in me. It's an occupational hazard and you should be complimented since you never make mistakes like that.
As for the rambling rest of your post ... are you threatening me, mike? That's prolly not wise ... at the very least it's prolly against ihub rules.
welp ... that post disappeared as I was responding to it! Granted it took me a long time because I was doing other stuph too, but I'm sure you have a copy of it, mike, so perhaps you'll respond to my comments anyway.
"DUH!! Nor enhough trades to drive it anywhere at all. "
441 whole shares traded today! Maybe the big spenders are waiting for some substantial (detailed) news about significant sales and/or contracts before jumping in (again).
Or maybe they'restanding in line waiting to vote.
I've wondered all along why JB would receive what was effectively a continuous stipend for doing what a strong CEO would do w/o one.
welp ... he tried his hand at real estate and that didn't work out too well for him. Now he's focused on supersensitive sensors or soemthing (I leave the technical descrption to those who understand it). If this doesn't work as planned, what'll he turn to next (and what will cexi-d do for an encore?
Maybe the primary fueler of dust devils who seems to spend some of his time in swampy, alligator infested FL has an idea or two. No doubt already "discussed" with JB. Gotta plan ahead, doncha gno, y'all.
Cheek? It invented it!
Goooooooooooooooooooooo CEXI-D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oooohhhhhhhhhhhh ....................
what a bunch of cynics you all are.
Of COURSE products - big, little, old, newer, newest - are going to sell like hotcakes and bring in great bundles of money to fill the company's coffers unto overflowing.
All those prospective buyers champing [sic] at the bit to buy couldn't be just a figment of JB's imagination, could they? Or just another dustdevil fueled by hot air in the desert southwest?
No, that couldn't be.
Goooooooooooooooooooooo Cexid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
