Bravo, drhunt!
Softeq has partnered with HP and e.Digital to design, develop, and deliver an MP3 player headset with a unique IR interface. Softeq is responsible for beginning-to-end design, specification, development, and delivery. A multi-unit battery charger is also in development.
drhunt, were you able to get a O-1000?
Any thoughts on why the WebCast this year v. Letter from the President last year?
CD, I know that it wasn't CSA Gen. Johnson!
I think that the affirmative answers your questions!
InterTrust sold to Sony & Phillips,

Has anyone seen this product by EastTech for sale?

Digitalway only sells a couple of products here in the states. Does anyone know when they opened their office in San Diego? http://www.buympio.com/Store.asp?m=mpio&n=2
CDR, Is there a correlation between bull and weight of posts in your strategy v. mine? Sounds similar.
The market will react inversely proportionately to the total weight of munitions dropped times the total weight of supplies shipped to that cause. But only for 90 days after that you have to factor in other things.
e.Digital will not be effected. Trust me on that one.
packers1, Maybe you should try some sort of demonstration on the sidewalk in front of e.digital's office. I bet you would get better results than the time you spend on the boards. Anyway, I hear the weather in San Diego is nice this time of year and might do the sole some good to get away.
packers1, who is the one oem?
LL good post esp.part 2 eom
Tinroad, Do you think that Apple used the lawsuit card on them?
moxa1, that's funny. I think RP is dreaming and praying for the day that he can release the PR that the O-1000's are in.
packers1, you have made your point time and again. Just get beyond repeating yourself and your dissapointment. Just, move on, beyond where you have been and presently are. I think that most of us have heard your concerns beyond the point of being polite.
MOU
Abbreviation fo "Memorandum of Understanding." A document which, if meeting the other criteria, can be, in law, a contract. Generally, in the world of commerce or international negotiations, a MOU is considered to be a preliminary document; not a comprehensive agreement between two parties but rather an interim or partial agreement on some elements, in some cases a mere agreement in principle, on which there has been accord. Most MOU's imply that something more is eventually expected.
rstring, need to ask a lawyer about that one. I have a feeling that they are some what similar with the major differences being listed in the MOU. With the type of business or non-business application deteriming which one is used. With a letter of intent being used for non-business or personal applications. JMO
Matt, why would we want to talk about other invesvtments? This is an e.Digital Board. Right? Hopefully?
LawyerLong, will you post the EDIG link to Agora? TIA
How about this new product uses multiple formats,

D.inkie, looks like they have a fairly good product for the laptop crowd. Makes sense.
Toshiba's new product Mobilphile,

D.inkie, your response is duely noted and has not been lost in my thoughts over the past 3+ years. I sincerely hope that you are right about the race.
richardosborne, In some ways it does and in other ways not. Looking back, the company only had an idea and the advantage. Today, we have products but have lost the advantage and the market. Not bashing, just lamenting.
It appears to all be tied to Digitalway's release or mfg. of the units. Go figue.
jtdiii, Those comments come too easy. We are not a fortune 500 company and cannot cast any shadow on the street. We have had some major studs in the stable before, which I'm sure were selling at the same time.
At this point it's all about capital. Of which, we have very little at the present time. We need an angel to go along with that gift from heaven!
jtdiii Short of cleaning house, which isn't going to happen anytime soon. What should e.Digital do?
jtdiii, Thanks for an excellent post. What else can they do in the mean time? I feel that they are doing and trying everything that they can w/o the capital. The Parade article could not have come at a better time. The product interest responses generated at the e.Digital site will be used to increase the company's chances of obtaining additional financing and for finding a company willing to take the product to the mass market. It has another benefit in that it gives our other products exposure and increases their sales.
The 1,000 units that are going to be released will sell like hot cakes. If that is the most that the company can finacially handle at the time, then so be it.
ucansee, your logic has not gone unnoticed. Thanks for your saving post.
ucansee Ah, hopefully a breath of fresh air.
I find it odd that e.Digital has not sent a confirmation of any sorts out to the people who inquired about the O1000 on their website. That in and of itself indicates to me that at this point it is nothing more than a survey being used by the company to gauge interest and production quantities. And if I'm correct in my assumption it is something that should have been done months ago. I hope that I am wrong but their past track record at getting product to market is not good.
e.Digital still getting press in the latest 12-1-02 issue of Parade. Go to www.Parade.com, text version, scroll down to near the bottom of page.
Looking athe MPIO photo indicates the lack of a microphone on faceplate. It appears voice-nav and voice recorder will not be offered on this model.
the demensions of the 3 known O-1000's,
7-22-02 version 110x73x22.8
current version 111.5x73.5x27.6
MPIO version 118x77x19.5
I would expect Lucent to jump on board w/ a sizeable sum of seed money for E.digital's Odessey 1000 since the product uses Lucent voice recognition software.
Blackdog6 and MIR, I hope that the 1000 units is incorrect or that they were calling a unit as a box of 10 or 100. If that is indeed the number that they have on hand then the only thing that can save this holiday buying season will be the ability to restock in large quantities quickly. I just can't beleive that EDIG would let this opportunity slip by after waiting for this opportunity.
MIR, Since you are the marketing type I have a question for you. When you advertise a product that is fairly popular and have a circulation of 76 million. What is the potential percentage range of sales to circulation?
Waiting to launch a product in the hopes of maybe getting an award is not a well thought out approach. EDIG has just gotten the most coverage that it will ever get! To hold the product back would cause a lost of interest from the thousands of readers of the article when they find out that it will not be available until sometime next year. I hope and pray that EDIG has the first shipment ready to go out at their on line store next week or they will blow the biggest chance at sales that they will ever have again. To let the impact of this article and this holiday season go by without product available would be beyond belief.
IMO We have Apple to thank for the redesign and subsequent delayed release. In addition the O1000 at the EDIG Store does not mention Mac compatable.
