Thanks. The best way to learn the waves though is as Trend is going to do by reading the Elliott Wave Principal.

Where is it written that 2 and 4 can not overlap? I can't seem to find even a guideline for that much less a rule. Seems like it should be possible for an expanding flat and a wave 4 to overlap.

You can also become a member of Elliott Wave International and look through their free stuff at www.elliotwave.com

A couple of really good e-wavers:

Kenny's List
Note that they both have blogs as well and neither one of them charge anything....

I think it's due to dividend distribution....

Any thoughts on where gold is headed?
Thanks
Ok dumb question, but with a 3 handle on BAC and a 10 handle on GE, do you mean they are going to the 3 and 10 dollar areas respectivly?
Thanks
Anybody have a good read on the $HUI and the $XAU?
Thanks
That was a good catch by Lisa. Looks like the price label and high price bar on stockcharts says 23.84 and the day high print at the top of the chart says 24.83. I noticed the same type of discrepency on USD. Wonder how often that happens...
Anybody else still having problems? I'm getting a page cannot be displayed message when just trying to go to the stockcharts website.
Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the info. This ETF seems to have weird price spikes quite often. It make me wonder if it is even possible for a small trader to capture them.
They said it was routed to the American Exchange and also said that exchange didn't open until 9:52AM.
Is there a way to confirm this?
Thanks
What can be done about a trade not going through? I put in a sell order last night, it traded $2.42 higher than my ask today. It never went through. The ticker is USD, which is a semiconductor ETF. I use TDAmeritrade... Is that the problem?
Just a question and some e-wave input.
Question: How do you know that the renko method wasn't quicker sometime in the past or wouldn't be sometime in the future?
Another great e-wave person (Alan Alias) on SI has posted on this being a big C wave down:
http://siliconinvestor.advfn.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=24737721
Alan seems to be looking at the same possibility as Bob Prechter...

I ski on water and snow and live in Boise, Idaho...
I don't really care if the charts are out of date. I'd just like to see what you use.
Thanks,
Shawn
I'd really like to see your charts and results. The old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words comes to mind...
Thanks,
Shawn
Hi Larry,
What are the X's and O's?
Thanks,
Shawn
Is there a site with this information?
Thanks
Thanks for the info...
The Chicago PMI, which came out yesterday was 48.2 and last months was 44.5. According to the same Briefing.com site:
"The Chicago PMI index, which is released on the last business day of the month (with data for the same month), has an impressive 91% correlation with the national ISM."
Could this explain today's gap? Interesting...
Thanks... Any thoughts on the $SOX or the $DJUSSC?
More wondering about the $DJUSSC, because I'm a very small
fish and am playing USD and SSG. The volatility is very
helpful so far as long as I don't get caught on the wrong side...
Is it at all possible that wave 4 is morphing into an expanded flat? I understand the most probable is that we are going to start wave iii of 5 down, but that probably should have accelerated down by now.... No?
How long can ii of 5 down last?
Also, is your take that we are in a big C down and that the whole thing from 2000 is a big flat ABC correction?
Thanks for your time,
Shawn
How is the close on the high/low calculated?
Thanks
Have you seen this chart? Seems to be a good map so far...
http://www.sandspring.com/charts2008/cdj020808.html
Note the Feb. 8th date and the blue is his prefered path. The one thing that confuses me is the alternating rule for corrective waves. I guess they are more guidelines than exact rules?

Any thoughts on VTSS?
AMD getting hammered.... What's up with that?
Ever look at DNDN? Been in a downtrend for
quite a while. Just wondering if its worth
buying.

Is there a way to create a TRIN-5 (sum of the last
5 days of the TRIN) or is there already one? If so,
what is the symbol?
Thanks
Hi Zeev, Happy New Year!
What are your thoughts on TRE?
It's a small cap gold stock that has been running
up....
What are your thoughts on gold in general?
Sorry if you've already talked about gold recently.
Thanks,
Skier
Hi Zeev,
Remember GNSS? It has broken out and ran a bit....
Just wondering if you think it's about done running.
Looks interesting on a pullback.....
What do you think?
Thanks,
Skier
Thanks for all you do....
Anything is better than nothing.
Thanks again,
Skier
Hi Zeev,
Any thoughts on the breach of 1970?
Is this the start of a more serious drop or
a headfake?
Thanks
This seems like a great idea.....
I'm sure your aware of LG's multi time frame
analysis, which works very well.
This might not work 100% of the time, but with
careful use of stops I'm sure it will work great.
Thanks for sharing,
Skier
Hi Zeev,
Do you still think HDTV has potential to bounce
nicely? If so, what would be a good entry price?
TASR bounced this morning..... Still think it goes
below 13?
Thanks,
Skier
Hi Zeev,
What are your thoughts on CCMP?
Is support around 36?
Resistance around 40 to 42?
Thanks,
Skier
Hi Larry,
Thanks for sharing your work. One trick I've found as
a free member to look at a chart without the ads:
1. Only works if the message with the chart is a reply to another message.
2. Click on the message that is being replied to.
3. Click on the replies.
For some reason replies come up without ads most of the time.
Hope this makes sense.
Thanks again Larry,
Skier
Congratulations!!!!!!
Hope all is well!
I'm wondering if the monthly charts might be worth comparing:
[j20196741,y]&r=6196>
[J23933271,Y]>
[J23933272,Y]>
[j20196741,y]&r=6196>
[J23933273,Y]>
[J23933274,Y]>

Augie or anyone:
Stockcharts question:
Is there a way to have a long list of market breadth charts ($vix, $cpc, etc.) and be able to have a chart of $compq or the relative chart right above or below the individual indicator?
I'm trying to do some research on Vesselin's (see the Detecting market tops and bottoms thread) work, but instead of only going back three years, I'm looking at monthly charts.
TIA,
Skier
Hi Zeev,
Ever looked at NENG? What would be a good entry?
Or would it be better to wait and make sure it's not
completely broken? Here's a chart.... if it works.
Thanks,
Skier
Hi Larry,
Is it possible that Zeev's traders have a larger intraday
swing and that is why he uses those?
The stocks you have ranked are more for multi-day swing
trades.... correct?
Thanks,
Skier
