AIG breaking out, at $2.35
loridans, I'm with you, let's see this play out and of course with the intention that it plays out in our favor. But we also need to take note that common shareholders are always the last to get a piece of the pie so we need to take into account preferred shares as well and how much they will get before commons sheets are paid out. I'm giving a conservative estimate that LEH's common stock will be worth $6 to $7 but that's just a qualitative estimate.
LEH on Craigslist:
http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/bfs/837266182.html
There's the actual link, but original source compliments of THEWOOGSTER, he just didn't post the direct link. Pretty funny stuff, but we'll see who gets the last laugh. I'm in 1300 LEH at a cost-average of $5.36. It's a gamble, a speculation, an irresponsible move. Call it what you want, I understand the risk and the uncertainty and I am fully willing to lose.
nicely said, you're right, LEH was the one other investment bank (other than BSC) that was incredibly leveraged, but unless one actually made money betting against LEH's survival prospects, one cannot say much. I for one was too ignorant to take a short position or to buy puts in anticipation of LEH declining; in fact I took a long position yesterday and am now down -$2,000. I wonder if you say it was so clear, did you make any money shorting LEH or buying LEH puts? If you did then I congratulate you. But I only say that things are not so clear as they are occurring; they are only 'clear' and easy to state after the conclusion happens. I do not know if LEH will be bought out for more than what its commons shares are currently worth, but current news points to preferred shares moving on news that BAC will buy LEH out:

oh and despite the fact that you say 'loridans' is just a free member, you should recognize the fact that he has been marked as a favorite far more times than you have, and he has posted thousands of posts. These facts don't necessarily mean that he's right or that he knows what he's talking about, but I don't think it is useful to discount someone's perspective just because he is a free member of iHub. I too would speculate that LEH will be bought out at $8 or above.
woogster,
both of the below articles are about LEH seeking to sell itself from here, and given that LEH is larger than Bear Stearns, it could go for above the $10 share price Bear Stearns was able to sell for. I'm long and strong in LEH from here, holding out for greener pastures up at $10 or above. Yes, I am a free member, and no I do not KNOW that LEH will be bought out, but I am just speculating and I am fully willing to lose everything. I have already lost -50% (-$2000) since buying in yesterday at $7.80.

yeah, wait for Q3. today's 145 mil. vol is pretty suspicious, but it also clues us in that this is near or at the new bottom support with all of these shares trading at such a high volume and UVSE still holding this level.
yeah, 145 mil. vol is pretty ridiculous. there had to be dilution, and I'm saying that not to bash the stock because it's a fact that I own a few shares of UVSE at $0.0056.
UVSE @0.0031 = Buying Opportunity IMHO
UVSE double bottom?? speaking of bottoms, I've soiled myself after losing -$2000 today from my long LEH position. oh well.
nice run up, had to happen sometime and I didn't think it would be today so I put my available funds into LEH instead of my old pal UVSE. and UVSE rose +30%. I make bad decisions. Oh well. the Universe hates me. I hate me.
no prob phowell, no prob. look i'm already writing for no reason.
BOOM, UVSE moving Up Up and aaaawayyy
nope, what are you talking about? i'm a new visitor to the DTF
FRE/FNM up more
*sorry about the mix-up before, got excited
FNM 0.79 x 0.80
in @ 0.80
UVSE's been dropping since July 8th, when the company first alluded to potential dilution, so in my opinion those who anticipate dilution have already sold and priced the A/S increase into the stock. Any further sell off is just excessive, so if UVSE shows a bottom support here it'd be a decent long position based on this reasoning. but if it keeps showing these consecutive red days, who knows when it'll stop so just gotta sit on the sidelines and wait for a few slimmer candles.
dilution? is that what is causing the drop?
you in or you out?
nice, thanks, I just called them and they're not open until 10 A.M. so I'll take your word for it!
patterns don't always stay the same my friend, and the past does not represent the future. I'm gunning for a Sept. 12th earnings release too so that I can stop crying about my -$900 loss thus far in CJGH but until we hear something, gotta stay awake.
and what did 'Jennifer' say was the OS? screw it I'll call her too.
Predictions? How Low Will UVSE Go?
I'm calling a bottom here at $0.005, but hey, I could be wrong and lose more money. -40% on 71 mil. vol. just looks too strange to me, especially if the OS is supposed to be 250 mil. but remember folks, what appears may not be what is actual. it may appear that OS is 250 mil, but last time I read I think the actual number was something along the lines of 680 mil if you count debentures? or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. but if the OS truly is 250 mil, a 71 mil. vol. day is pretty absurd, and I love absurdity.
chin up old chap, many factors are at work here (oil futures in consistent decline, strengthening dollar, lowered demand for gasoline) and we can't always expect the market to be rational. the 71 mil. volume is indeed suspect; I expect UVSE to regain attention at this pricing level soon. I'll be buying at these 0.005 levels.
yes, very nice thank you. I also read that Carl Icahn holds 10% but I have not confirmed if this is still true (if he still holds) and if it is true, if it is true that he still holds 10% of the stock. If it is, would be a safe entry point here IMHO
sidesh0wb0b, you have any useful facts about NEXM? are you in? I'm thinking about loading up tomorrow if it holds $0.14. Major 17K sell off right at market close, kinda glad I didn't enter at $0.17 now. Also looking at NXG. Let me know what you think. Lets see a PINCH!
yep, fishy stuff going on with this ticker, fishier than a vietnamese supermarket. the correct thing to do is to trade this thing and never get attached. i got attached and held out the HOPE that this company would soar +100% to +200%, and what happened? I lost about 1.5 months of my life obsessing over this and also lost -$700 by eventually selling lower than the cost-basis that I held kept baying into to get down to $0.0164. I don't even know how much funds I wasted on trade commissions......Must've bought and sold UVSE at least 15 times so that means I lost about -$150 in trade fee alone! Tomorrow's going to show some very interesting volatility in my view. So really, who cares if it's down or up, as long as volume is back this will be a decent trade. I'm setting a limit order to buy at 0.005, I think that will be the lowest point this will go tomorrow barring any other surprises. JMHO.
agreed, always best to be safe. glancing at the chart and using the elementary T/A I know, it doesn't look safe just yet since UVSE just broke bottom support and has not shown any basing activity around a new support bottom. However, these massive -30% to -40% vertical falls can also yield what I call a 'V-Bounce' the next day. See SPNC for a recent example. I traded SPNC for a loss because I got damned scared about the news about the company getting raided, but if I had held until the day after I would have taken a juicy and quick +10% gain. So with these vertical 'falling knife' drops it's very uncertain and whether or not to buy depends on if you're willing to gamble. For me I am willing to gamble at most $2K with UVSE based on the reasoning that this stock has become excessively sold for whatever reason.
in reply to your July 6th post, I don't remember them saying they had no intention of raising the AS. I remember they said they had no intention of raising the OS. Big difference. If you can re-find the source that'd be great, but if not that's fine too. I might look into it but at this point I would say the stock is oversold, but I have been wrong many times in the past so the only person I expect to act on my words tomorrow is...well, me. I'm buying into this dip, a 71 mil. volume day is attractive for a potential upswing tomorrow.
Buying opportunity tomorrow IMO, I'll be nibbling at this with at most $2K, already lost -$700 in UVSE from last time, my sympathies go out to all my other UVSE buddies DD2Win and mimurry if they still hold their positions.
any news? why the drop? any thoughts?
tombrady you still alive over there, big crash and I'm down -$900 now, thinking about selling.
hm, sorry to hear about the loss potential, yeah I'm gunning for $0.042 if it can make it, I am not familiar with how volatile or reactive this ticker is to earnings. Looks like the consensus on this board is that earnings are due next week but companies are late sometimes and sometimes earnings at meet expectations are still not enough. I was in UVSE last week and its Q2 earnings barely had an effect despite the fact that the company was finally cash positive in revenue and also retired substantial debt. Kinda scared about CJGH here, already down -$500 from yesterday, FFFFFFFF(&@!k(I(F(&**^&^!@!
hey ThreeFlight, I called the IR number listed on iHub (China Jiangsu Golden Horse
Investor Relations Contact:
Tel: 1-866-365-4724) but the number did not work. Which number did you call? Let me know, thanks in advance.
ouch, my $0.028 entry yesterday not looking too good, anyone else feeling the burn today? got any REASONABLE price targets (no overly optimistic hyped up responses please)? I'm expecting a maximum of $0.042 but I'd be willing to sell at $0.032.
yeah, pretty fishy stuff going on with UVSE, I'd be careful but I know you're pretty committed to it on a long term basis. Have you tried calling Raley? Others said he picks up, but at most I've only gotten one email reply from him out of two emails I've sent. I really do think the news is going to be sour if it takes this long to release a PR about the shareholder meeting. Tread lightly my UVSE friend, tread lightly.
I trade, therefore I am.
yep, today's drop partially caused by retraction in macroeconomic conditions, CJGH's probably moving with basic materials here, i see now that it was a bad idea to buy at 0.028
whoa, huge volume sell off today guys, any one know the reason or was today just more massive anticipation of dilution? absence of a follow-up PR after the Sept. 2 meeting is cause for concern. any of you fellas still long and strong in this from before? I kicked my UVSE-addiction and sold at 0.015 last week but I'd be willing to buy again if it shows some basing behavior. But it isn't! firm decline here and looks like it'll get worse before it gets better. 28 mil. vol is huge compared to the 4 mil. vol. days we've been seeing. I was actually going to take a long position this morning at 0.011, glad I didn't. mikey, DD2win, mimurry, you guys still alive? hellooooowwww?
I trade, therefore I am.
yep I expect green tomorrow, willing to sell at $0.032 for a quick gain, don't know why people are ragging on me so much I'm just fishing for some details about this stock. I think it's more effective to go on a board and talk to people who have been following the stock longer than I have and just read what they're familiar with rather than sift through 10Ks.
at $0.028, sometime this morning around 9 A.M. pacific time
