Reality stranger than fiction
The process you outlined is right here and now. In off-grid farm areas, offering very easy storage of H2 within NH3, cheaper, low pressure, smaller storage tanks required, makes home made fertilizer, etc.The snag I gather is the efficient disposal of N2 oxides at point where nh3 is being electrolized
HOW LONG CAN THEY KEEP THE GENIE BOTTLED
There is so much backed up breakthrough news on a number of fronts at ITM , that I wonder when the pressure will just blow the lid off how far the Dark HorseITM has slipped the herd.. The news that Marcus Newborough took the HRU to the states agaist two thoroughbreds from the herd is franking the confidence exuded by Jim Teathcote in the Radio interview with BBC radio4. Thanks for finding that piece Gerry.
Moment Of Truth for ITM . A confident JH BBC R4 interview, says ITM is there. I added 20% to my holding.
ITM NEEDS ITS ASS KICKED BY USA MANAGEMENT to make the $$$$$'s
ITM is sitting on fabulous technological wealth. Long on IP and short on execution. Bring USA experienced industrial management and ITM would be worth Billions. So many basic products the market is crying for and they potter making 6 Green Boxes probably with everyone giving a hand. What a waste
WIDE VISION USA EXECUTION WAY TO DELIVER RESULTS
ITM has technology that tames the sun's energy for benefit of mankind and western economies. It could free western culture from the shackles of Big Oil and those Funding terror will be strangled by the purse strings. To realise the mega growth potential ITM could attain within a short time, the current corporate management needs to be beefed with USA style BIG CORPORATION experienced management or ITM will only drift to a comfortable, not brilliant success it can attain; stressed messianic managers do their best which is sadly not good enough to realise the full ITM potential and to operate like a Microsoft or a Google.
WHAT A RESULT ITM SQUARES THE CIRCLE
Gerry this way to effectively work on contolled synthesis of Sun energy via Sun/Solar, Sun/Wind, producing anh3 for local fertiliser, fuel for HEC generators and even fuel for H-Ice
engines,when a.nh3 releases H2 to burn ..
I did not go there, sorry. It has to be a practical certainty though that they continue to work for their senior client.
FMC, Roush Technologies, Roush inc & ITM
Few weeks back, I spoke to a director of Roush tech in UK re UPS fleet requirement. It was made clear that each leave the other's territory alone, and so no surprise if there is need to demonstrate chinese walls. It may follow that FMC uk adopt a similar culture vis a vis FMC inc., and then the left does not tell the right what it is doing..
UK's ITM Power plc smash DOE's 2015 Targets
< $165/KW [ $70/KW now versus $125/KW 2015 DOE target ]
Official
ITM opens up unassailable lead over Big Oil
Well that is hard financial news Gerry by DOE's latest benchmark. ITM now with definite clear lead at forefront of H2 technology, yet underestimated by UK scientific and investment community.
Ford Focus, Transits converted for H2 with Refuellers
For the lousy share performance, the blame, imo, lies squarely with Panmure. They misunderstand & completely undervalue the ITM breakthrough technology. Their negative stance rubs on all that come across their evaluations. Having proven it's patented PEM and MEAs, ITM is not a prospector but a producer.
Once the Ford committment to ITM/Roush project can emergethere will be few more desirable investment to hold in this field, with many applications on other fronts in for free.
FMC involvement more logical than speculative
the logic of the cogent argument you put together is difficult to dispute. All the signs say that Ford is
looking forward with Focus as a centrepiece to what ITM and Roush can accomplish for it.
Company which made cars Black Ford Motor Company
ford.com
FMC seems natural to sponsor Electrolizer in Tank
ITM maintain that an electolyzer is a fuel cell working in reverse. I do not know how difficult it is to wire the same MEAs stack for both functions, but I guess that if they can achieve it, the kit will save space, and cost of equipment, both critical factors in most applications.
Now we have a Wow! Explains 20% rise for ITM today
That's enough to get us to Clariges for breakfast after the dinner!.
Hydrogenics do not need to eat their heart out Gerry
You know they say two heads are better than one. Hydrogenics over there can work with ITM over here to spread a hydrogen gospel and the applications to help humanity to their mutual benefit. Hydrogenics understanding and lead in practical H2 applications combined with ITM technology should help both stay well ahead of the pack.
Hydrogenics Eat your heart out
We are now sure that ITM is both secretive and way ahead in terms of where they are and what they tell the public at large. It could well be that they are onto the cold electrolysis..I feel MIT is not being totally open about what they have done. MIT's prof was talking very high capacity energy storage, but did not expand.. Good luck to MIT and anyone trying to obviate our need for fossil fuels if only to rid us of terror through starving its oily funders..By MIT's own timeline they expect it to be 10 years away..and they need to use platinum which is not limitlessly available yet..
Good luck Conno, and I hope you get back soon. That might help so don't go on a guilt trip.... As for the 40 proof Halal whiskey , the boys here used to drink it, pronouncing "Bism Al Lah..." on Good Malt , to render it Halal.. Cheers.
Everyone is free to do what they will; 10000 sold or offered at moment of weakness can precipitate an avalanche. I believe no one can sit moral judgement about what another does.LTH's are not in concert., I am hoping the amplitude of oscillation is shrinking; I've doubled my position over last three months, and I am sitting more confident now than I ever did. when ITM goes up for real, it will soar as the the penny drops and investors understand just what they have a chance to buy into. I'll know it's happening if they cross £1 in 2/3 weeks . You would have won the whiskey Conno if you struck the bet.!
I get more confident holding ITM for financial and altruistic reasons. The results are most encouraging. Progress on number of new fronts. I like the Co-operation with Renewable energy Intl on Hydrogen Homes. That is a big market. ..And free energy with desalination from solar.ITM is a great investment with progressive confidence build up from success refecting on the value of the company, much like a drilling company value behaves as it progressively proves reserves, or a drug company value behaves as a new blockbuster drug pass through successive trials..There are so many applications in diverse mass markets, and the commercialisation is today, as ITM is within the price to be competitive on electrolysers sold in today's marketplace. The PEM & MEAs are world beaters on quality and price, and being the building blocks of numerous needed applications, ITMs future never looked Brighter.
Hydrogenics developing HiPress as 3000psi self-pressurining electolyser, and as such there should be a benefitial result from their co-operating with ITM on an upgraded HRU. They'd bring such upgrade to market quicker with better reach. Now if they could crack 5000psi, well the sky's the limit. IMO..
Conno wrote complimenting Al Gore's Churchillian speech.
I hope to introduce him to ITM once his team respond..
Good to see you here TT
Can't resist reproducing my post on ADVFN here:-
" The civilised world has to welcome all advances that will ultimately deliver us from Big Oil and the harm its owners and lackeys have done to the world.
These advances including Nissan's are our real fight back against terror and strangling its funders resources serves to weaken then frustrate their agenda to take over the world. I think the weakness is the existing FC technology, which ITM believes it can disruptively improve . If and when it does that, ITM will earn a place amongst great companies "
ITM Power LTHs should read your note Gerry and act accordingly. Yes sounds very familiar. Bill and Ben worked it with a few minions and bashers..even when Bill pretended to turn on Ben..And how they fought to keep the thread they created for you then usurped.. They do work for MMs or a trading house. There was also an incidental 2nd school to do with a research outfit. The Platinum and the Nissan comments gave it away but I think that may have played out..
If it should start again, the LTHs should know beforehand not post on your £7@2010 and never to comment, reverting to this thread. They should understand before it starts again once price moves towards the proper level.. Loads higher than £1 as of now.
Gerry I did not make the point well.I understand that FC H2 is more efficient than comparable H-ICE.. The Clarity looked same or slightly bigger than the Focus;it does 68 miles per KG H2..
I actually see JH giving a come on to potential partners and he rightly should not want to job all the technology in one lot to one partner; why should he, and the partners won't run away..It is but early days..
You did not comment on giving the PEM a brand name.. I thought HIGATE is fitting recognition for the inventor.. It should start clocking mileage under that name....
The ADVFN lads gauge the mood, or create it to then deal.. They could not give a peanut for the stock or the company; They would not know great technology if it got up and bit them in the ass. They'd probably sell their mothers if it made them money..It does harm confidence when done frequently and hence damage the share price.. I've often seen the syndrome ..
ITM IS SPOILT FOR CHOICE AS TO DIRECTION to take. Proof of concept is now done in an understated British way! Word is out to the Hydrogen community that the "Dark horse has broken from a top quality herd" with a number of world firsts.. With more to come in the near term such as an FC that will have the ITM PEM made into unique MEAs with clear advantages,is in progress, OBs are an imminent possibility and selfpressurised H2 made at 200bar and possibly 300... Does ITM go with Dupont and give the whole H2 market a lift, including companies as Hy-Drives, Distributed Energy Systems, or work with a Ford MC or GM, to perfect an Auto FC and infrastructure, or work with a GE aNorsk or a Vestas in industry and agriculture .The size of the field and opportunities beggers belief. USA would see such potential
Yet in England, we had Citigroup trash the shares twice to enable bear raids, thus inviting traders in and out of the stock to an extent that has put investors off as these do not like turbulance.. ITM would be better understood here. I am sure the market will begin to understand what ITM is about sooner than later. Gerry that is why I get so irritated when trading posters come on ADVFN just to talk the shares up or down rather than enjoy the research around ITM at the dawn of a new era and be proud of what has so far been achieved.
Gerry
Spent time looking up OBs & Hy-drive. Was initially concerned that someone has beaten ITM to OBs. Not so; Firstly, ITM has simpler and more cost effective product, then I learned that after test fitting few hundred units @ retail of $11500 each, product had reliability issues, sales stalled from ~$1m to ~$0. Company which had all sales, distribution, marketing lined up, but product that did not work, expects to relaunch in 2009. ITM has field clear if they move.We shall all be thanking JH for policy to hold horses till product is really ready before launch.
HY-Drive has 61m shares in issue and market cap of $120m+ being a May 2008 number I lifted from their website. No products apart from the OB to be relaunched..also they reshuffled board.. they had slick investor presentation..6m BIG trucks, 6m BIG busses, BIG market.. Asia Pacific also waiting for the product.. Sure Prof Newborough will keep things simple so ITM won't repeat mistakes..
Gerry
On face of it Hy-drive, a quoted canadian entity, is established with IP/Patents and sales for its OBs; I take it that this does not affect ITM going into OBs, not being first to market etc . We are also talking of relatively small PEM surface area involved in OB means saving over Nafion for 250W is not huge, so we look for further cost saving from manufacture of MEA. Is there also a simpler bop involved?
Dupont Nafion .. flows off the tongue.. now try mouthing
"ionically conductive cross-linked hydrophilic polymer" for size.. Yes..It is a hard mouthful for our USA friends to handle. Is it not about time ITM Graced the breakthrough PEM with a BRAND NAME so as not to waste the gushing PR and the brand name can stick?
WELL DONE ITM:A DARK HORSE BREAKING AWAY FROM A TOP CLASS FIELD
One reality check to measure how good a new product or method is likely to be is the smell test..
Now for Peter Hargreaves to pin his flag to the mast in no uncertain way, even more now than he did on 31st January 2008, is no bull.. I agree that this is a great British invention and have said so months ago..
To irritate Dr David Hart of Imperial College Hydrogen section and have him and his minions briefing in a silly losers way is a shame, as I had always believed that honesty in science is paramount.. they Should congratulate ITM and Britain for continuing to breed ingenuity.. which may yet get us out of the mess Mr Blair made on his way to deliver this country to Europe...ITM's technology is a National Asset like Microsoft was a USA asset which America values...
To stir and irritate the Platinum interests is further pointer to how seriously ITM's invention can be treated .. No one posts persistently { Cheap PR } without an agenda..My agenda is a) I am heavily invested in ITM and b) Big Oil and its servants have done enough damage to the world, ecologically, politically, etc..
There are many other agendas that will no doubt emerge some pleased but others miffed..
I expect more news, brokers reporting, Panmure Gordon revising targets, Nomura Code to comment, engineering and science journals reports, advisor team to be freshened up, and a string of more real news of breakthrough products and deals from ITM and Yorkshire.. Most of all the boffins at the big Nafion users will not turn up their noses.. Dupont may want to co-operate.. many more doors opening
Congratulations ITM and the Team especially Dr Highgate ..
Conno Yorkshire Post ed best news yet.. How many major car makers in USA? Each major is major enough.. Likely other major world car makers should not be far behind..
Roll out of concept on home turf in Yorkshire far sighted
..Smart people are Yorkshiremen so it could well happen..
Gerry analysis of RNS at nil platinum both clear & Useful thanks
Babbo post mention need to log out from here to get into £7@2010
Yes Conno presentation was magnificent and made the points professionally.will attract many investors or my name is Giltsponge.
It gets better still.

ITM Home Hydrogen Refueling Station Unveiled
July 9th, 2008
ITM Power looks like the dark horse breaking away from the herd as it has made an aggressive move to become the only company to offer a commercial home hydrogen fueling station. In the past, I’ve talked about General Electric, Honda and General Motors all developing such H2 refueling units, but these are still in the development stage.
In addition, Hydrogenics used to offer the HomeFueler unit, but from their website it looks like this has been dropped from their product lineup. One can still purchase the larger Hystat-A unit, but this is typically used for larger applications than home refueling.
The ITM home hydrogen refueling station is based upon a special proprietary plastic membrane, which took six years to develop, and separates water into hydrogen and oxygen. The hydrogen is then separated and used to refuel the H2 car.
For the unveiling of the hydrogen station, ITM Power set up a display home in Sheffield, UK, which also featured a Ford Focus that Roush Technologies had converted to run on hydrogen gas. The simple conversion included a hydrogen tank and four injectors costing roughly $6,500 in total plus an electronic chip and presumably software and no price was given for these last two components.
As hydrogen conversion kits go, this is far cheaper than other conversions of gasoline-powered cars from different manufacturers costing over $50,000 or the conversion of a CNG vehicle at over $15,000.
The ITM refueling station prototype that was unveiled in Sheffield can only provide enough capacity to run overnight and refuel a hydrogen car for 25 miles. As the development continues the capacity is expected to increase to at least 100 miles.
ITM sees its immediate customers as being the managers of large fleets such as the post office or other package delivery services. Next in line, when prices drop due to mass production, average consumers will also be in line for the home refueling unit. No price was given for the initial rollout of the ITM home hydrogen station, but ITM’s chief executive, Jim Heathcote estimates that with economies of scale the unit could drop as low as $4,000.
Conno I think sooner old G321 LTHs are out of that the better.then RIP >>> G,talks of blue sky out of his nether orifice, other muppets having to agree with each other..others winding up.. Sounds a set up for a shorters play to me..
ITV was most professional and serious report yet, and should attract plenty of investors tomorrow.. USA E & W coasts to come plus Asia!!!.
Gerry I discovered that from Babbo's post yesterday
Conno attracting comedians and windup merchants now on 2nd site, which should be allowed to rest in peace..else waste of time energy, and confusion. Was pretend feud to pull a scam ??or to hijack gerry's thread. First i'll look after things for you, honest gov, then why are you still posting on your own site .....stinks.. Do you really want to play nursemaid there?
Babbo I could not agree more. Gerry read the agenda of these posters correctly. They work like hyenas with good guys and bad guys. The chutzpah! trying to hijack his thread.!From a fellow who claims he has standards. Yeah, thieves have standards.
They have done real damage in the run up to demo ...Enough already.. Morgleman sold out! Spawney stopped out! sad really..Don't know if shorters still holding their nerves..
You saw I e-mailed the Governator on £7 @ 2010 thread..
We shall not recognise the ITM profile soon..Gerry please recap on all the good announcements we expect soon, Roush, Bi-Fuel, OBs, Places far from reach of electricity grids, NH3, 100mile range, 100kw electrolysers, the list is endless.. you can run a book on what's next.. I certainly hope the riff raff won't be able to short this once it gets to be a big chip.. I know this is good stuff when Dr Hart from Imperial lets it get under his skin! Shame..
BBC-TV Demo of ITM's Hydrogen FordFocus is a good trailer for the launch. Thanks Babbo for the link. I think mention of expert opinion on batteries may be a neat way to start debate that H2 is cleaner, more eco friendly and in effect cheaper than batteries
