Oil rises ahead U.S. payrolls

LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices rose on Friday, with Brent crude nearing $118, as investors anticipated U.S. payrolls data later in the session will confirm the improving economic outlook of the world's largest oil importer.
Fighting in Libya, where Muammar Gaddafi's forces appear to have regained the upper hand, supported crude prices as the prospect of a drawn-out conflict reduced expectations of lost Libyan oil returning to the market in the near future.
Further supply disruption came from Gabon, which produces between 220,000 and 240,000 barrels a day, where striking workers are shutting half the central African nation's crude oil output on Friday and plan to halt the remaining output within 48 hours.
Brent futures for May delivery rose 29 cents to $117.65 by 1111 GMT, after earlier hitting the highest level since March 7. U.S. crude futures climbed 49 cents to $107.21, down from a peak of $107.65 last hit in September 2008.
"I think we are going to be range trading ahead of the payroll data but if it proves strong we could see oil advance further," said Christin Tuxen, an analyst at Danske Bank, adding she expected Brent to trade between $110 and $125 a barrel in the second quarter of 2011.
"A lot in the oil market depends on what happens in the Middle East but our analysts see a fairly broad based global (economic) recovery and we should see commodities edge higher in general," she said.
Oil prices gained traction in the second half of this week after a report on Thursday showed U.S. jobless claims fell last week and data pointed to improving employment in the Midwest.
A Reuters poll suggested the U.S. non-farm payrolls data for March, due at 1230 GMT, would show a second straight month of solid job growth, adding 190,000 jobs. A rise would imply the labor market has turned a corner after lagging the broader economic recovery.
While improving economic performance is lifting industrial demand for energy in the U.S., high prices at the pump are damaging consumer confidence and capping gasoline demand.
LIBYA, MIDDLE EAST TURMOIL
Libyan rebels cheered the defection of the foreign minister on Thursday as a sign Gaddafi's rule was crumbling, but U.S. officials warned he was far from beaten and made clear they feared entanglement in another war.
Rebel officials set out conditions for any ceasefire on Friday, including that the Libyan leader's forces quit cities in the west and give people freedom to speak out.
Analysts warned it was doubtful Libyan crude would reach world markets on a sustained basis because of the risk of loading cargoes and said recent advances by government troops were bullish for oil prices.
Bahrain has stepped up arrests of cyber activists and Shi'ites and investors will also keep a close eye on events in Syria and Yemen. The conclusion of Friday prayers is a favored time for demonstrations in the region.
"Friday prayers in the Middle Eastern world are a special time when protests gather momentum," said Eugen Weinberg, commodities analyst at Commerzbank. "That should prevent a steep decline in oil prices even if payrolls prove disappointing."
Reuters technical analysis suggests Brent will continue to rise toward $119.79 as a short-term uptrend pointing to $123.46 per barrel has been established, although there is a minor resistance zone between $118.37 and $118.50.

U.S.: Obama Discusses Biofuels
March 30, 2011
U.S. President Barack Obama said March 30 that he had directed the Navy and Energy and Agriculture departments to cooperate with the private sector to create advanced biofuels capable of powering fighter jets, trucks and commercial airliners. Entrepreneurs over the next two years will begin construction of four next-generation biorefineries, each with a yearly capacity of more than 20 million gallons. The administration will propose the first-ever fuel efficiency standard for heavy-duty trucks in the summer, he said. He directed agencies to buy alternative fuel, hybrid or electric vehicles by 2015. Washington will partner with private firms seeking to upgrade their fleets, Obama said. The government proposed new programs to help citizens upgrade homes, businesses and plants with energy-efficient building materials, he said.

good luck to everyone.i do look at the positive here..as no dilution,no increases in our authorised shares.i think if the company isnt selling any stock how are they profitting and why didnt they sell in the twenties or even now,so i choose to believe its because they think it will go higher.as always buy sell hold its always up to you.as with all stocks some think they are going up and some think they are going down...im here because i own stock and i hope it is going up...
yesterday we had a 100k bought at the ask 7k at the bid..today we had 27k at the ask and 6k at the bid with 2 ..1k trades at the bid a few seconds before close...we wanted an update and they gave us one..looks like to let us know they are working towards a goal.they told us they havent sold stock or diluted us and we are close to getting another pr...buy sell hold its up to you..im waiting to see why the accumulation to place to rise this from sub penny to twenties...i think it was for a reason..if not why didnt they just dilute and dump....i remain positive and think we are close..good luck to everyone...

someone is doing there best to try and move this down..waiting to 40 seconds before close to sell
very true...and i dont think theres alot of stock out there being traded most is tied up in long term hands..you can tell by the small volume it takes to move us..a little buying pressure will take us higher when ever it happens..glta

IAHL Readies for Expansion
Iahl Corporation (USOTC:IAHL)
Intraday Stock Chart
Today : Wednesday 9 February 2011
IAHL (Pink Sheets:IAHL) has diligently moved into a position to finalize its current objectives elevating both company and its shareholders value. We continue working with our private investor group (as outlined in our last press release) who is a conglomerate with offices in United States, Latin America and Singapore. They have been funding the travel and attorney expenses in moving this to completion and will be part of our integral success. We have been pursuing certain assets in line with our business model.
They have engaged an accomplished CEO from outside their company who in the past has operated and sold multi-million dollar corporations in Europe and here in the United States. He has personally orchestrated a developmental product from vision to production twice in the past eventually selling both companies to a much larger corporation. He has been and is currently negotiating with past business partners in China, England and the United States to finalize a significant merger/acquisition candidate, expanding IAHL's portfolio into a more diversified company. His financial background and political associations are extremely noteworthy to aid in the "Stock Arena" as that phase of IAHL moves forward. IAHL's management team is working closely with him to expedite everything as quickly as possible but more importantly ensure success instead of any unforeseen obstacles ahead of us.
It is important for shareholders to note that the company has not sold any stock into this rise or increased or altered our share structure as our goal is to bring real value to our shareholders. We want to thank the many loyal and patient holders of our stock and soon hope to bring them what we all have been waiting for.
Due to the extreme critical and sensitive nature of this project nearing final announcement, all names are being kept strictly confidential to reduce any breech of non-disclosure or diluted facts that could delay our future proceedings prior to any upcoming assets moving into IAHL. After merger/ acquisitions have been consummated, all verifiable and tangible names will be publically released. This will be appropriately dispersed to the public in the upcoming Press Release which we will have out within this quarter, along with an investor relation contact point. We are confident that once completed and released, shareholders will have tremendous value in their investment ...we thank you for your patience.
This press release does not constitute an offer of any securities for sale. This press release contains certain forward-looking statements within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933 and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
