The great thing about the stock market is that the proof is always in the pudding..
COR is @ .20 .. I got out with a small profit after all the craziness..
There are tens of thousands of other investment opportunities out there waiting for me to ring the register..
I am canceling my iHub account.. so, my occassional posts that don't follow the norm will go away for good..
I'm sure you'll all appreciate this..
You brokerage account won't though :)
How can a 16% downturn on 6x volume be a good thing?
Jerry, you need to re-read you TA books..
you and me both .. like I said the day after the announcemnet "just a nat farting in the wind" ..
Complete bummer, for I thought $2 was just around the corner after RD .. ; (
alert.. doesn't it bother you a bit that they have the Ampakine platform, and the company is doing so poorly?
There have been many breakthrough technologies throughout history that never made it due to politics and bad management.. COR has been the victim of both..
Just because the CAVS have Lebron doesn't mean they are going to win the NBA Championship..
Calling your imaginary friend again Jerry??
I just spoke to Mark and he stated that he would never be able to provide the type of info you keep posting on this board..
**Neuro, no one on this board trusts me worth crap .. Could you please call COR and confirm what I keep hearing that they have never heard of Jerry, nor would they ever relay such detailed info so we can put this fraud to rest once and for all?
Folks on this board trust you.. and it would be great for you to be the voice of reason on this whole issue..
I feel like Jose Canseco when I call these things out :)
Neuro .. please be the Mitchell Commission :)
I guess selling the majority of my shares @ .36 doesn't seem so crazy now ??...
I took that $$ and have enjoyed a nice ride on real companies (MCD, WMT, etc.) ..
Man, 10% gain in boring companies sure beats the hell out of another 50% loss on COR..!!
GFP .. good for you! ya gotta limit those losses when you can.... I sold my remaining 100K shares today .. putting it all in some corp bond funds ..
Q: How do you make your money back from a Dog like COR?
A: Invest in real companies and invest with your mind, not your heart.... 5% here, 2% there, 3% here, 7% there really starts to add up!
I never doubted the science, I just doubt COR's ability to bring it's fruits to their full potential..
Aiming.. Here is an actual attack on COR's management born from facts..
If a company has amazing product (which we all think COR has), and it is one step away from going bankrupt, it's management's fault..
Invest in 2 things: 1) the product, 2) Management
result .. you make a decent profit on your investment..
Cheers!
Aiming, but if Jerry is making things up, that is the worst thing anyone could do on a board where we are supposed to share honest ideas..
Any sane and logical person can see that Jerry's claims are false..
The problem is, Jerry states false things about COR in a positive light, so no one want to call him out, for we all wish/hope that he is telling the truth ...
How you cannot see this is beyond me..
I echo the comments about you doing a GREAT job, however, Jerry has had cart blanc to spew lies for years on this board, and it's getting a bit old ..
hey, thanks for the advice..
Out of FAZ with 11% gain .. may have further to run, but can't get greedy.. hit and run is the only way to make money in this market ..
thx for the warning.. not a long term play.. I have a pretty tight stop loss ... looking for some profit taking on the financials on Monday.. most of the runup was a flight from tech to something to keep $$ in the market. .. 6% is all I am looking for..
The stress tests were a joke, and refinancing is all that is driving any sales for banks.. .. Eventually, everyone that can is going to be under 5% APR on their mortgage .. then what? 1 1/2 years worth of inventory (calculated at the last 5 years moving average .. probably more like 2+ years of inventory), and all the toxic assets being sold lowering tangent homes prices.. 10% unemployement.. those folks need to start selling .. speculators aren't buying antime soon ..
I'm so glad I have rented over the last 5 years..
CHeers!
Thanks..
The market is big old place with plenty of money to be made.. I forgot that fact while fixating on this POS..
Good luck to you as well..
FYI - I just bought a chunk of FAZ at the close.. this whole bank rise is unsubstainable..
hey, someone finally got it!
thanks Aiming..
I'm speaking of tic tac toe (i.e COR in my world)..
I'm back to Chess..
Yeah, I probably did..
As far as COR goes, I have been wrong almost everytime .. probably wrong to exit now.. I am concentraing on methods that work for me instead of trying to hit a home run with one stock.. I think my sanity and piece of mind will thank me for it..
"The best way to win the game is not to play at all."
I thought anything uder .26-.27 was worth at least nibbling here and there on over the past few months (especially with the gains over the last few months in the general market wanting somewhere to go).. When I was able to get out in the low .30s, I had to pull the trigger.. Plus, I'm an idiot for COR .. I bought more per my heart .. I'll probably buy more if we head back down around .25 or so ..
Cheers!
I had widdled my average share price down to .75 over the so it wasn't all that bad..
My TA said the market is overbought (and Jerry talking about how we're going higher), so,
I decided to short the market late yesterday using a 3x Reverse Tech Index (TYP)... The Put action on the market was insane, the volume on updays was minute, and it was obvious the big hitters had stop losses behind the big gains over the past 8-9 weeks..
I think it will be the classic falling down of one set of stairs, the another whole set once the stop losses are triggered..
No charts required ;)
Saw a ton of voulume on the buy side for COR, and decided to jump out of COR and offset a good chunk of my 2009 gains..
I still have around 100K, thought it was wise to keep a little just in case..
I will still follow from time to time, but I have my sights on many other things now..
My comeback from the COR debalce is almost complete!
I just needed a day to get out when I wouldn't crash the SP down to .10 in the process.
Cheers and good luck to all!
I think this volume gave the folks with large holding a chance to bail out without killing the share price..
My estimate that there were 4-5 million shares just waiting for some volume to get out for many months..
I dumped about 500K today, and and almost completely out..
<<continued opinion that COR has something incredibly unique and insanely ignored>>
Just a general (and probably a bit exaggerated) paraphrase of some of your thoughts over the last couple of years.. sorry .. not trying to put words in your mouth, just trying to recap the general theme of COR's boat right now ..
thanks..
Neuro,
The thing that has perplexed me since joining this board has been your posivite support of management and continued opinion that COR has something incredibly unique and insanely ignored .. even with a .30 share price and the coffers running out... The reality of the situation just didn't add up.
Is it your opinion then that if the Nuclear Winter did not happen, and it was business as usual for the Pharma industry, that COR would have had a decent deal by now?
Is the hope at this point that COR is able to survive this anomoly period, and then reap the beneifts if it is able to survive and BPs swing to the other end of the pendulum?
What's your prognostication for COR going forward in light of all you have seen over th last 2 years, and the current state of the Pharma industry..
Cheers.
no, it doesn't need to be deleted (it's not offensive).. just maybe a friendly reminder about COR only talk here would be nice .. I hope/think we banned the personal attack crap from last week, I just would like to not have to put tregaron and galexa10 on ignore, for they usually have good comments when they talk about COR and don't get into non-COR TA discussion with Jerry . Just tired of sifting through the mud to get to something relating to the name on the board (COR).
Thanks..
Just in general .. it seems like the site is 95% market talk .. predictions on the S&P ,.. TA stuff that has nothing to do with COR..
There are a thousand sights for that sort of discussion..
thx
Aiming.. what happened to the ban on non-COR related topics?
Seems there's nothing but general market discussion and hocus pocus speak taking over the board again..
True, the way the name calling got over the last month or so was way out of control. I didn't read most of it, for aiming did a good job of deleting the worst stuff before I had a chance to read it..
I always thought Dr. Tracy was a smart guy, however, like me, very unlucky when it came to his take (from an investment standpoint) on COR..
I truly think Neuro had the best of intentions, and he is just as boggled as the rest of us per the COR demise.. This was a perfect storm of a dozen things that all went wrong..
As for gaining knowledge from this board.. I definitely did in regard to a lot of things.. I have to take the $$ loss out of the equation (for it's a sunk cost).. I'm hoping the things I learned will help me make money in my future investments..
Hey Andy, you and I have pretty much got along, so I say this more as a question ..
"Now since certain people appeared on this board it has become a backstabbing one that has totally gone from the prime directive of this board.(the science)"
Really, the "science" is why you listened to this board?
The site is called "Investors Hub". The fact that we focused on the science and not the business side of COR is why we are all massive amounts of $$ in the hole due to our COR investments..
I think we kind of put the cart before the horse and forgot about the point of putting money in the market: to make $$.
Cheers!
GM sells something that people buy.. that's whY!!!@!
RBlatch, the problem is this..
Many people have lost thousands of dollas on COR.. I personally have lost hundreds of thousands..
Unlike myself, who can accept blame for my financial mistakes, others on this board would rather lash out at those who were correct all along ...
I wish COR was all it was cracked up to be.. instead, it is just another company that went out of business..
You can't make a company profitable and succesful just because you want it to be..
I'm going to learn from this wild unfortunate ride, and my life will be richer and more fulfilling because of it.. others will become bitter and irrational ...
People were imprisioned for thinking the world was round and that the universe revolved around the earth..
I was one that thought it was flat .. oh well! The fact that I thought it was flat doesn't change the fact that it's ROUND!
Cheers
GFP .. you have always seemed like a logical sort..
Why set up a private board for a comapny that will be out of business within the year?
We all fund COR's salaries by buying into a stock and maintaining its value above "zero" so that COR's management can dillute our shares and get financing..
Unlike other companies that pay salaries through the money obtained through the sale of goods and services, COR must pay its employees through the ignorant investing decisions of people like me.. The fact that I, and many others, thought COR was worth $2+ at one time, and bought into the stock while others chose to sell, allowed COR to dillute our holding by financing to stay afloat.. The fact that we all maintained hope and did not sell our shares in droves (causing the pps to go to less than a penny) allowed COR to once again maintain their salaries (for a short while longer) through our ignorance..
Sad, but ture ; (
Cheers..
If I have implied it flat doesn't work for stocks other than COR, I apologize .. I use it all the time in various forms .. made a killing in the banks using it this year..
Maybe I'll have enough money again so that I can find another COR-like stock and lose my fortune all over again :)
Cheers!
Not on COR you're not.. that is the point of the post.. I never said it didn't work.. it just dowsn't have any relevance for COR..
I have used a combination of TA and general observations and gut to make a killing over the last 6 months .. I just am so sick of Jerry trying to use TA on COR.. it will not work..!
He has called the bottom 100 times so far on this stock .. from 1.20 all the way down to .28..
I have no beef with you or TA, just the endless coversation about TA and COR..
I just made the most accurate and useful analysis on COR to date, and it had no comments besides one basher that completely misread it.... crazy!
Cheers
Not on COR you're not.. that is the point of the post..
least we not forget.. this stock trades around $25K a day ..
there are no such things as inflexion points on a stock this thinly traded.. Any movement due to someone taking profits or averaging down are just a drop in the ocean compared to an actual event.. The historical technical data on this stock has such a low P value it's mindblowing..
I know I bash TA all the time.. but hear me out here for I finally know why it bothers me so much in regard to COR..
For me, and most other long term folks on this board, the 60,000 or so shares traded per day isn't liquid enough to get out without severly tanking the stock .. I myself had to let go 50K shares several months ago, which was 40% of that day's trading, and I sunk the stock 25%! It never recovered from that fall, and just kept moving from there..
So, the day in day out movements are meaningless in the long term ... the only way anyone of us can get out at the "price of the day" is on a day with massive volume.. 1M+ or more..
For now if we want out, we either wait for a buyout, wait for some news and the accompanying volume, or tank the stock and get out at a massive % discount ...
With that said, a meaningful movement in the stock will make all of these support points and resistance points completely insignificant (The movement from significant news will increase volume so high, that all data points are worthless .. the playing field will change too dramatically).. so, they are in essense, completely meaningless observations on all fronts in the meantime..
A true data point or TA observation is only worth something if one can act upon it.. since folks on this board have not and cannot acted upon these observations (with any success to date), they are meaningless, and hence, the reason why they are so annoying.. Especially when the predictions have been wrong 99% of the time (another annoying, well more like, pathetic observation)
Hmmmmm.. why do I feel (even though I know that I gave a novice analysis) that's it's more actual insight and real world scenario of the true nature of COR (my TA if you will) than Jerry has ever provided this board..
Any moron can look at a chart and tell us what happened yesterday!
I know some of you will just think I'm bashing Jerry and TA.. other will actually understand I am correct on this point, and always have been .. if you disagree, read the post again, then read the dozens of Jerry TA posts.. the truth hurts.. I am completely correct with my assessment and Jerry has been worng over and over again..
Cheers everybody!
First bit good news and 1M+ volume day, I'm outta here ..
Totally agree..
COR watcher.. take a basic math class at your local community college.. jk..
30K of action today.. that has nothing to do with something brewing or COR's mgt getting something done correctly..
A day where there are a million plus shares traded, now that's when you can speculate a bit that it's more than just a couple of individual buyers ..
Management got credit for the downtourn for it was over several years and 10 of millions of dollars of market cap loss..
Why Food.. Why? :)
Put down the shovel man!
Hope all is well..
At the end of the day, it's still just ~$30,000 of action..
Although the % increase is high, unfortunately, it probably means nothing..
OT:
Nice contra play if you feel the market is overbought and this is a "soon to be over" rally with a sharp drop back under 7,000..
REW
I played this at the start of the year, and I think it's time to play it again..
But, what do I know, I lost most of my retirement money investing in COR. :)
Cheers!
I needed a laugh after a long day and un-ignored you and Jerry "the fortune teller" so I could read the nonsense and feel better about my level of sanity..
I'll give you .05 for it.. and that is being generous..
