NIce move today, 7-23, to $5.12, +$0.70, 15%, on 1.4M vol. Yes double bottom may be in JT.
Could be JT. Some real nice institutional ownership here in ARUN. IHMO it is going to take some large, heavy hitting, institutional buys to move any stock these days. Da bear is snarling.
Looking for some kind of panic bottom on overall markets, after which the big boys move in and start buying, starting next bull run. Could be awhile, though. The darkest hour is always just before the dawn.
GLTU my friend and green screens.
P.S. Saw you dropped IDMI from board. Any interest still? EMEA decision due in September, with approval, or not, by end of 2008. IF, if, approval, IMO, we could see $5 to $7, from current about $1.75. Comments?
Also, what is your take on KITD?
SNCR has been beaten down and may be poised for run from $10 to $15, almost up $1.00 today on 1.7M vol!?
Double-bottom in? definitely over-sold....

Aruba Wireless LAN Deployment at Microsoft Exceeds 11,000 Centrally Managed Access Points
Wednesday May 14, 8:00 am ET
75% of Employees Use the Wireless LAN Every Day, 72% Say They Can Now Work Without Any Wires at All
SUNNYVALE, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--May 14, 2008 -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NasdaqGM:ARUN - News), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, today announced that Microsoft has passed an important milestone having deployed more than 11,000 centrally managed access points in its massively scalable wireless LAN. The Aruba deployment replaced a legacy system of autonomous access points that was difficult to manage, lacked guest access support, and required enhanced security features. The sheer scale of the centralized Aruba system, spanning as it does across virtually every continent, makes it one of the largest enterprise wireless networks in the world.
Originally announced in June 2005, the network was to include 5,000 access points and serve over 25,000 simultaneous users worldwide each day. While the scope of the system subsequently expanded, the objectives remained the same: provide follow-me connectivity and follow-me security to all users regardless of where they work or roam; offer centralized management of the entire network with redundant back-up; support a wide array of personal computing systems; and enable a number of new and improved IT services. The Aruba wireless network services over 80,000 unique wireless client users.
"We embarked on this project with very specific objectives with respect to network management, security, and end user satisfaction and the numbers speak for themselves," said Victoria Poncini, Microsoft's Network Architect. "Today more than 75% of our employees use the wireless LAN every day, and 72% said they could work without any wires at all. 93% of users can use their computers in new locations because of the enhanced mobility afforded by the wireless LAN, and 70% of employees said the network saved them at least 5 work hours a week because of increased flexibility. Because of large user adoption of wireless connectivity it is not difficult to envision a time when we transition to an all-wireless workplace."
Aruba's unified mobility networks securely deliver the enterprise network to users by integrating adaptive wireless LANs, identity-based security, application continuity services, and multi-vendor network management into a cohesive, high-performance system. Adaptive wireless LANs deliver follow-me connectivity to roaming users, and support standard Wi-Fi clients such as Intel Centrino. Aruba's identity-based security associates policies with users instead of ports, delivering follow-me security that provides expanded mobility for users without compromising security.
"Just as Aruba relies on Microsoft SharePoint, Office, and Outlook products to enhance our productivity, so, too, does Microsoft look to Aruba's adaptive wireless LANs to enhance employee mobility and efficiency," said Keerti Melkote, Aruba's co-founder and head of partnerships and products. "For most Aruba customers, Microsoft included, the wireless LAN is their primary enterprise network. Microsoft's extensive, business-critical deployment is a strong endorsement for the scalability, robustness, and security of Aruba's wireless LANs."

Samsung Medical Center Deploys Aruba Wireless Voice and Data Network
Tuesday April 15, 8:00 am ET
System Provides Wireless Medical Records, Pictorial Archiving, Prescriptions, Nurse Call, and Voice Over IP Communications
SUNNYVALE, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 15, 2008 -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NasdaqGM:ARUN - News), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions, today announced that Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea has deployed Aruba's adaptive wireless LAN and identity-based security solutions throughout the hospital and Cancer Center. The Aruba network provides secure voice over wireless LAN (VoWLAN), nurse call, and data access to the staff of 4,700 throughout the 60,000 square meter facility.
Constructed in 1994, the Samsung Medical Center has 1,278 beds, 100 specialized clinics, and 8 specialty care centers including the Cancer Center, which is among the largest in Asia. The legacy wireless network was unable to support the medical center's security, IP PBX, or wireless nurse call requirements, and after an extensive technical review Aruba was selected because of its robust wireless LAN, high throughput, and scalability.
"Aruba's wireless network allows us to transfer data and voice calls between patients, nurses and doctors without any capacity constraints," said Choi Jong-Soo, Samsung Medical Center's the Department Chief of Information Strategy. "Besides being more cost effective than the system we used previously, the Aruba network is faster and provides pervasive coverage throughout the facility."
Nurses at the facility now manage medical charts and patient prescriptions from portable carts equipped with laptop computers. The pictorial archival communication systems (PACS) and electronic medical records may also be accessed wirelessly, allowing the staff to enter and access data from anywhere within the facility. The VoWLAN communication system, the first in Korea, automatically alerts staff in the event of a patient problem including irregular telemetry readings.
"Aruba was selected for this project on the basis of its technical performance and security, and the medical center has leveraged these capabilities in its telemetry, voice, and nurse call applications," said Kim Young-Ho, country manager for Aruba Networks Korea. "Business-critical applications require a robust solution on which customers can depend, and we're very pleased that the Samsung Medical Center has joined our community of more than 300 customers in Korea."

Yes, the d/g hurt for sure. The short interest followed on like a pack of hyenas. It's over 15% of the float last time I checked. That's what's driving the price down more than the d/g IMHO. I got out right after learning of the downgrade because I knew the shorts would smell blood. I've learned the hard way not to get in their way. I think the analyst called for a target price of $4.50. The shorts are not gonna stop there, though! With such a high level of short interest they are in control now so I'm not going to re-enter until this baby has really cratered.
Good luck!

Thu 8:00am ARUN Aruba Networks Releases New White Paper on Delivering Broadband Services to Fixed and Mobile Clients Using WiMAX and Wi-Fi - Marketwire
WiMAX Is Well Suited for Wide Area Networks, Wi-Fi Is Cost-Effective for a Wide Range of Local Clients
SUNNYVALE, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 20, 2008 -- Aruba Networks, Inc. (NasdaqGM:ARUN - News), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure unified mobility solutions, today announced the availability of a new white paper on Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) that explores the strengths and weaknesses of this technology for delivering broadband wireless services to fixed and mobile clients. The widespread availability of WiMAX has for years been just around the corner but non-interoperable implementations and frequency spectrum licensing issues have hindered deployments. The situation for enterprises is different, however. The white paper notes that WiMAX is a convenient alternative to wired backhaul for remote or personal access points, and combined with Wi-Fi can help an enterprise cost-effectively accommodate diverse backhaul requirements and extend wireless LAN services to hard-to-wire locations. Ease-of-use is further enhanced when both WiMAX and Wi-Fi networks are managed from a common console using a multi-vendor wireless network management platform.
"Proponents of WiMAX make claims about in-process trials but there are few, if any, large-scale commercial networks," said Peter Thornycroft, author of the Aruba white paper. "As a technology WiMAX is ready for takeoff, but it is the non-technical obstacles that have conspired to keep it grounded. In this paper I discuss the misconceptions that have arisen over the capabilities and timelines of WiMAX technology, analyze the utility of using licensed versus unlicensed bands, and explain how WiMAX's cutting-edge wireless performance on licensed bands can be complemented with a Wi-Fi deployment on unlicensed bands to provide WWAN-to-WLAN broadband coverage."
Wi-Fi and WiMAX do not inhabit discrete segments of the market but instead overlap, and represent two of many competing ways to deliver broadband wireless services to fixed and mobile clients. While the two share common underlying technologies, each has strengths and weaknesses associated with transmit power, channel bandwidth, spectral bands, antenna gain, and management regimes. The white paper reviews the capabilities of each technology, notes where they are complementary, and makes a case for using them together to achieve a robust broadband solution.
The new white paper, "It Takes Two to Tango: Using Wi-Fi and WiMAX to Deliver Broadband Wireless Services to Fixed and Mobile Clients," can be downloaded directly from Aruba's Web site at http://www.arubanetworks.com/technology/whitepapers.php.
