Are you still following this one?
I picked up a few more shares at $0.15.
Yup.....only way I built mine was when a heavy seller came in one day and just splat a bunch of shares at once. Even then I think it took a few of those types of days.
yeah - me too. It is really hard to efficiently build a position in a stock with all the liquidity of the Sahara desert...
Now I think the trick is to forget I own it for a while--certainly is unlikely to be worth watching.
Nice snag....I hope.
I finally got filled on a starter position today at .1621
Order had been in since year end.
Toyota to disclose solution to sticking pedals Monday

It will be interesting to see if the CEO of MLES was right.
maybe some shares will shake free at month-end
Tell me about it....lol
Just wish MLES was more liquid!
Interesting...thanks
Just heard back from IR who asked the CEO -- CEO insists it will not have any impact on them since all of their Toyotas have already been leased and it's the leasee's responsibility to take care of the recall since there's no cost to the leasee.
My comment -- yeah, it's not like a landlord who is responsible for all repairs. When it comes to a car, a lease is really just a fancy financing agreement anyway.
On another note, the CEO said the media is blowing the recall out of portion anyway and you looked into the matter with Toyota and found out either tonight or tomorrow Toyota will be announcing the fix to the problem involves installing a 10 cent ring.
Yes, and MLES can buy and lease other car brands.
On MLES, you would think that the impact of a recall to a leasing company would be a function of two things:
1. the number of days each car was out of service to have the problem fixed. I can't imagine that this takes more than half a day per car (I own 3 Toyotas, so I will soon find out), and can be scheduled to some extent. If the lessee can just handle it (and get a loaner from the Toyota dealership if it takes more than a nominal amount of time--they usually do this for me for free) there would be no impact to MLES
2. any reluctance of people to drive/lease a Toyota going forward as opposed to other makes. I doubt that would change based on this floor mat recall. People who like Toyotas like Toyotas. They are pretty darn reliable.
I got a call back but wasn't available to answer. Will try again today.
Excellent question -- I believe MLES doesn't take possession of the vehicles for very long if at all as they are just a 3rd party financier I believe that buys vehicles from dealerships and simultaneously leases them out. I would think it's up to the leasee to get the problem fixed with Toyota, but I could be wrong. Any repo'd vehicles by MLES on their inventory that's part of the recall list they would have to get fixed by Toyota but that should be an immaterial expense I believe. I have a call into IR. I didn't find much on the web. One article from a dealer said it wouldn't affect them and another article whined that it would hurt them.
Will the massive Toyota recall screw up this deal, in your opinion?
OK--I will post so it is not just you two guys talking back and forth!
Numbers look interesting here. Spread is inhibiting, though.
Wise. This company is going to make a "Mint" imo.
