With this pattern and the company going current hopefully soon... well you can do the math.
Here is the other key point too... when this starts to rip and take off get ready for the bashers to come. When they do keep buying because it is the shorts covering.
Game time is very close IMO
$STEV BEARISH HARAMI CROSS Chart Pattern!
Definition
This is a major bearish reversal pattern, which is even more significant than a regular Bearish Harami. The outline again looks like a pregnant woman, as with the Bearish Harami Pattern. However, now the baby is a Doji. Basically, the pattern is characterized by a white body followed by a Doji that is completely inside the range of the prior white body.
Recognition Criteria
1. The market is characterized by a prevailing uptrend.
2. A white body is observed on the first day.
3. The Doji that is formed on the second day is completely engulfed by the body of the first day.
Pattern Requirements and Flexibility
The Bearish Harami Cross consists of two candlesticks, in which the body of the first white candlestick engulfs the body of the following Doji. The body of the first candlestick may be short.
Trader’s Behavior
A bullish mood prevails in the market, and an uptrend is in progress. The first day’s candlestick is a white body, which further supports bullishness. The next day, however, prices open lower than the close, or at the close of the preceding day. What’s worse, the market closes at the same price as it opened. This implies a complete lack of decision, and an imminent reversal in the current uptrend.
Hi sleepy people...no posts here since 2009.
just noticed something about gold today... gold broke parabolic the other day and yesterday that parabola corrected down with a monster volume (GLD) bearish engulfing candle. Today monster volume and aggressive upwards action during this G20 meeting with everyone talking about the currency wars... shaping up to be a bullish engulfment of a bearish engulfment...
is there a name for that "formation"?
What were you saying?
CPSZ WILL MAKE THE CANDLES BLOW OUT IT WILL BE RUNNING SO HARD!!
I'm looking at the Dow Industrial Chart and it appears to have an upside down Hammer. Does this mean there will be a reversal for next week? Thanks.
FCSX Bought a ton this morning
Current: 3.64
Target: 10 EOW
52 week hi: 70
Today's closing candlestick absolutely may signal a bullish reversal.
There is also the possibility of the last three days being the end of a ladder bottom pattern which would be bullish.
Just a reminder that CIRT is moving on the good news P/R's which could negate any chart!
Hey surfkast, do you know much about candlesticks? Just as the white spinning top indicated a possible reversal, which we saw two days ago, doesn't the black spinning top indicate a possible bullish reversal on CIRT?
As you can see, this one gets very little action.
Hello there, new to this board, but want to know more about candlesticks. Just ran across the litwik.com site and found it fascinating. Now I found your board and wanted to be able to ask some questions about candlesticks, anyone around???
Thanks!
Stop by some of my boards and say hello!

Hi everyone.
Only if you subscribe to American Bulls do you get an Intraday alert for stocks. Are the candlestick interpretations the right way of doing them?
"Intraday Signal Confirmation Module
This module is the biggest aid to investors seeking confirmation for a BUY-IF or SELL-IF signal issued at the end of the previous day. The intraday module starts 15 minutes after the market opens and ends at the closing bell. It calculates the "benchmark price" and shows the current confirmation status according to the above defined "Rules of Confirmation". It saves the investor from the trouble of making complex calculations to decide whether the previous BUY-IF or SELL-IF signal is "CURRENTLY CONFIRMED" or "CURRENTLY UNCORFIRMED" or whether it is "CURRENTLY REJECTED", according to the position of the current price with respect to the benchmark price, and according to the type of the candlestick formed at that moment.
The current confirmation status may change during the session according to the intraday stock price. The final confirmation is given according to the closing price.
The module is provided free for all the market indices. For stocks, the intraday signal confirmation module is a membership feature."
AJH,
Have you done an annotated chart for "spng? If not might you be able to as they just inked a substantial deal.

The Novagold gap. Does anyone care to venture a guess as to wether that is a breakaway gap or not? Normally I would expect it to get filled but with that volume I dunno.

In God We Trust.
Hey CD, well if you don't currently have some energy contracts within the next seven days or so would be the time to stock up on some imo.
I should of already been in but I've been doing other things of late.
Eyeballing crude oil, & gasoline contracts out six to eight months.
With all that is going on this is a no brainer trade.
Happy trading there,
Mariner
and to you too!
this board has been quiet for a while
My observation is that Americanbulls confirmations are always made AFTER the fact, after the close. The right execution at the right time is ALWAYS left up to the reader to interpret during the course of the day of execution. Americanbull's final interpretation AFTER the fact has the advantage of hindsight of price activity anytime between pre-market and closing. While advising YOU to watch price action beginning at pre-market, amongst other things, Americanbulls has the "advantage" of interpreting the entire day's action before it publishes a buy or sell confirmation. No real time calls are made by them. Like everyone else, you've seen falling pre-markets rocket into the stratosphere by the close (and visa versa). If you had traded in the morning for example, you would have naturally made the wrong choice while Americanbulls "made" the right one, all in retrospect of course. Don't you wish you could do that too?
To top it off, the PRICE OF THE TRADE is always from the PREVIOUS DAY'S CLOSE. How do you accomplish THAT when price dives in the A.M., you take their "advice", then the price reverses higher for the close? If you can buy and sell yesterday's prices, you don't need Americanbulls or anybody else.
It's an interesting site for learning candlestick patterns, but it's trading "record" is ludicrous.
does anyone use americanbulls? please help me.
i'm curious about americanbulls.com and its apparent success in picking winners based on candlesticks. virtually each of the listed stocks makes money with americanbulls' system. what i'm wondering is if the website backtracks for its buy confirmations. what i mean is that i wonder if the website replaces a "buy-if" signal with the "buy" signal, which is listed in its two-year signal history box, once the "buy-if" is confirmed to be a "buy confirmed."
for example, let's say widget international (widg) is listed as a "buy-if" on january 1 at the price of $1.00. per the "buy-if" designation, americanbulls lets the trader discern from future price activity whether widg should be bought or not. let's say that on january 4 widg goes from a $1.00 opening to a $1.50 close. would americanbulls then list the "buy-if" signal that was listed on the first as a "buy" sign in the two-year history signal history box? or does americanbulls list a "buy" signal only when a "buy confirmed" signal is announced?
i just found the website and am currently testing how the website lists its signals, specific to its timeline. perhaps someone here could help me before i receive the results of my studies.
thanks in advance.
Thanks for the link.....here's Vision link...http://www.tradewithvision.com
Good deal CD,it's always good to have a backup link in case the one you are using is down.
I've been using this one: http://www.oio.com/
Go to top bar tools scroll down to Quotes and charts then slide to right and click on quotes by market, then click on what you want.
Last wednesday morning I picked up a bunch of Sept Dow 950 puts, they picked up in value quick. I have so much time on them I think I'll hold onto them for a while.
I think the party is just starting.
We'll see how the API numbers effect them tomorrow, if they are down or flat then the whole week should be stormy. Throw in some some mixed earnings that don't meet the mark and it should continue a downward trend.
This market from my viewpoint is looking more and more bearish everyday, when you start mixing in triple digit drops values can increase turbo style.
If not I can wait, I don't see this market turning around anytime soon.
Say, do you have that link for vision LP? I'd like to take a look at their website.
Thxs,
Mariner
Hi again..I did pretty good on my Dow puts...Found another site that gives options quotes....http://sites.barchart.com/pl/cta/
Merriman has a class one turn date April 8th, it's starting to look like a high, could be going lower soon....http://www.mmacycles.com/artweek.htm
I just kept seeing a bearish note to the rally with it closing lower than the highs of the day indicating to me anyway little strength in reclaiming ground.
Yes, I had to pay a premium for those September puts and the liquidity is low as well as the delta. I don't think they even traded on friday.
But the flip side is I have tons of time on them and they are in the money.
If the market responds favorably, those May 106 Puts with a higher delta are definitely going to be much more lucrative in the short run. (Within the next thirty days or so)
Yes, I found the tote board. I haven't as yet, signed up there but I have been looking around there.
I like reading Bigalows daily commentary on the markets. It's interesting seeing others take on the market.
There may be interspersed here and there some gains, but overall the Kondratieff Wave Cycles are in a downtrend.

I'm finding confirmation or lack of after a signal is the key to trading candlestick Dow signals. Those Sept puts are high and getting higher....Did you find the options tote board?
That's exactly what I was thinking, but if I'm wrong I wanted contracts out far enough to catch the traditional seasonal downtrend, if I'm forced to hold them that long.
I closed my gold spread this morn, lost 2k...I bought a couple of Dow May 106 puts today, I think the recent Dow rally is a dead cat bounce.
I like this Bigalow dude and I'm sure his candlestick book is a good read although his recent pic to go long calls on the Dow is going to backfire or is currently.
I believe we are entering the first tier of a brutal bear market.
Picked up some Sept 106 Puts on the Dow

Thanks Mariner, cool site....I'm a bit sidetracked with a ENMD trade, somethings up with that one.
