Once again Aurora is dragging the entire sector down. Aurora never understood that the cannabis community doesn't want to buy from a faceless conglomerate with no local presence. They should have built out 100's of smaller facilities tied to the communities they serve.
Zenabis has such a large share of the NB market because they are local, and employ the citizens that live there. The same is true for the craft growers who live in the communities they serve.
The Aurora model of giant facilities serving the world was never going to work. Zenabis was heading down that path, but changed course to providing affordable products that can compete with the black market, not other LP's. Grabbing black market share is where the opportunity is.
The Aurora business model is now a proven failure. Meanwhile the small craft growers are stealing premium market share producing quality flower, and the smart mid sized LP's like Zenabis are selling at or below black market prices for their share. Something the Aurora's of the world can't afford to do. imho glta
