Harr, if I remember correctly some of the board members had debt converted to stock at $8.
I never got any shares bought at .004. Am I going to get some at .4?
locksflooring, they probably want to leave plenty of time for questions.
"Who the shorters or the flippers??"
They didn't do anything til the end of the day.
Did they forget this is a trading day?
Tomtom, load up, back the truck up, are some euphemisms used to mean buying many shares of a stock.
Rock, you can move to a major exchange as long as your stock price is above $1 and you have sufficient equity. The problem here is both reports stated they were not done to sec standards so I think we will have to meet the $3 requirement.
Crumbster, so we see how terms and their usage can change over time.
For lack of anything better to post on this board today I'll address the "barn burner" issue. "A real barn burner" is when so many people show up and are dancing so hard at a barn dance that the barn "might catch on fire".
"So much for ARET!" I thought so too in 2009. Thought I'd missed my chance to sell above $0.06. Hopefully the third time will be the charm and we stay above 6 for good.
rockafella88, they keep shorting because in smallcap/penny startups the odds are in their favor.
I think Klook said it best a few posts back "The loss for the past nine months is 25 cents with the $2.9 Million gain on property removed." Until they can show some positive revenue numbers I think we will dwell in the cellar.
By the way, you guys are letting them make my $3 purchase look bad.
Rockefella, etc. been away for awhile and haven't read all of the posts so I don't know if Rock's question was answered. As we all well know there was an acquisition and I remember reading in either the pr or the NT that the acquisition as the reason for the late filing.
Harr I see my mistake but don't understand why they stated it that way. They gave gross revenue for the qtr and net revenue for the whole 9 months of the fiscal year.
Harr, not qtr, 9 months "$0.10 to $0.12 per fully diluted common share) for the nine months" they made .30-.32 for the qtr according to the PR "or in the range of $0.30 to $0.32 in net income per fully diluted common share) for the quarter ended September 30, 2011"
Is everybody reading the same PR on the website?
"or in the range of $0.30 to $0.32 in net income per fully diluted common share) for the quarter ended September 30, 2011"
Have they halted trading?
4qtrs of $.32 = $1.28 earnings per share per year x 10 would equal a share price of $12.80.
4qtrs x .32 x 10? = $12.80?
Well it looks like I set the tone for yesterday. Nobody sold below $3 but my 500 share buy was half the volume for the day. Did one of you guys buy the other 500?
Just bought 500 @ $3 to see if I can get something going.
surfkid4, I agree with you and got some shares bought this afternoon at $2.40. I just wouldn't rely on WSR predictions as my only DD when buying a stock. I'm still waiting for their predictions on some other stocks that I own to come true, or even get into the ballpark.
Surfkid, "Didn't they mention in WSR min $7.79 and max $35.00". No offense meant to anyone here but I have seen WSR predictions that have never come true. On that note I am moving some money into my TDameritrade account so I can buy some more ARET at these prices.
Oil "The final payment, if paid on September 30, 2011, will be approximately $5,120,000."
From previous PR
"Arête received an allocation of $2,385,918 against the original purchase price of $11,000,000 due related to the acquisition. According to the "Satisfaction of Agreement Regarding Application of Proceeds", Arête received a credit on the sale of $4,966,139. Therefore, Arête's gain on the sale or profits interest is $2,655,221 or $0.35 per share. This enabled Arete Industries, Inc. to make a payment of approximately $1.2 million on the next installment due September 15, 2011. "
I never quite understood the wording of that previous PR but it looks like they will pay less than $11 mil total if they make the $5.12 mil payment by Sept. 30th.
europtiger, I think dogface wants us to read those other message boards and come to the conclusion that ARET is a scam. Personally I was reassured that, for its situation, ARET seems to be doing better now than many others. One in particular I remembered as a true scam from the past, still trading and actually owning oil wells but never realizing any revenues.
Yep, read a few of the ones at the top of the list when I went there. Even saw one of the true scams I'd forgotten about. Stockpriceperformancewise over the last few years ARET is doing the same as or better than the ones I looked at and performing much better as a company now then many of them. Glad I went there and read some of them. Informs me that I could be doing much worse than being invested in ARET.
ARET was sixth one down when I looked at it. That varies with which boards have the most recent posts. It's a list of the most popular boards on IHUB. I presume his meaning is that there are other symbols listed there, trading, reporting, that are scams so just because ARET files reports and trades doesn't necessarily mean it isn't a scam.
Some cars, trucks, farm machinery...are worth more parted out than they are whole. Maybe they were able to sell some of the assets to someone close to it for more than they paid for it.
You are right, it is exhibit 99.1. The exhibit A I guess you are talking about mentioned in the 8K would be a part of the sale agreement, none of which has to be posted with the 8K. If you want to read the sale agreement you have to glean what you can from the PRs or write to the company for a copy.
Klook and Ichi here is the link to exhibit A http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/820901/000135448811003138/arete991.htm
When you go into Edgar the exhibit(s) link(s) is/are always listed directly below the link to the filing.
My point was to ask if these are producing wells or unexploited bare ground assets that were sold. My reference to checking at 4 was that I was surprised that something was released between the times I had checked in on this message board.
Question is what assets were sold and what is left for ARET? I had just checked the news and filings at 4:00 and nothing had been filed by then.
Sorry, I'm so used to the English of some of the posters on some of the boards I follow not being so good that I took him literally. I almost wrote the 8K says the same as the news release. My interpretation is they haven't got the money yet but might by the end of the month. At least the deal is still alive for now. At least DNR is hanging in with it.
At least they are keeping us updated rather than in the dark.
Tigre, they did not file the 10Q they filed the NT "NOTIFICATION OF LATE FILING"
They may make the payment on time but not necessarily issue a press release today.
There is an 8K out. The last 10Q I see is 5/13.
The deal is redone "$3,700,000.00 due August 15,".
