did the career thing long enough.

finally happened. I zeroed out this morning.
what took me so long?
I wish the best to some of you.
to quote an old, dead guy..
What a long strange trip it's been.
Opiods? PPHM?
some similarities, for sure. Thankfully, it didn't kill me, although it might have come close a while back.
I could have lost less if I hadn't been addicted. I just can't get completely clean...but I'm not in rehab any more.
Some of you maybe should be.
So I kept a little. Habits are so hard to kick.
I wish you all a happy new year, and I hope the new crew is smarter than I was. Wanting to believe only goes so far, doesn't it? I figure it cost me about $2k a year over 16 years to watch this board...and I'm hoping it's free in 2018 :)
so much for Avid revenue bringing profitability.
I don't think Steve mentioned that this time, did he?
i hear you...i just check in once a week for giggles.
enjoy sarasota! it'll all be good soon....great little city!
Dew (who, unfortunately for most people here, has been right for 15 years here)....
Any feedback on the guy coming in to Avid and whether or not he may be strong enough to call bullshit on the rest of the board?
Gwen...glad you're ok..
my buddy rode it out on the 16th floor on Tamiami overlooking the auditorium...did the water ever cross 19?
haven't heard from him...
check out the 5 and 10 year charts and then tell me why anybody would support the BOD.
make sure you're sitting down when you look.
don't get too optimistic here... a tremendous percentage of shares are distributed through the families of the crooks.... i doubt if the vote will be a slam dunk
Loof...a list of folks who disagree with ronin would be much more manageable.
how much can we sell R&D for?
jeez...let's vote to authorize another 1 for 7....
Speith could buy pphm (without Avid) with his check from yesterday and get change back.
King is in a deep bunker now, and I seriously doubt if he'll hole out. He's hit trees on most of his tee shots, and NOT ONE has bounced into a fairway.
we're going to run to about $3 per share over the next few days when all the smart money buys in ahead of the big partnership announcements!!!!
yeah, right.
i rode another biotech over the falls a few years ago...what's another one....
maybe they'll spin off King and the science for 50k and run with Avid, showing an immediate profit :)
we should probably be loading up at these prices. there probably won't ever be this kind of opportunity again. ronan wouldn't have gone in if they didn't know it's about to spike. the board has a plan. we would have already been at a billion dollar market cap but for the sabotage. wait till the Duke report comes out. and cotara works, too. Avid alone is worth $3.00 per share. Bobby Axelrod is holding us down.
Lucy strikes again.
Back to .37?
we may be approaching a decent entry point.
it certainly isn't 'take profits' selling!
i thought that way here for about 15 years.
if they'd stop streaming King and stop publishing the transcript, we'd be at $8.00
it's far past time for people here to continue calling pphm management idiots.
they are obviously brilliant. much more so than many people who have come and gone from this board over the years, or are still here :)
would anyone care to review the annual incomes of the guys running this this thing since about 2000? they obviously made the right career choices, and are set for life.
give credit where it's due!
I believe Lucy just yanked the football away again.
i've avoided looking at this board for a very long time. had my fingers in my ears with my eyes closed tight, avoiding anything and everything about pphm except for seeing my remaining tiny bit of common stock in my portfolio....
who are the large stockholders these days? is dart still 'in'? i recall that he was in at about $1.08, or that was one of his purchases not long the crash.
why wouldn't I?
is Lucy going to pull the football away again?
my lowest sell when sunrise bombed was .37...kept some for a hopeful rebound. i worried that >37 would be the bottom and i sold too low... i was wrong about pphm again!
right....based on absolutely zero evidence.
that belief is all about wanting to think there's evidence somebody is sitting on.
good luck with that.
and why shouldn't he at this point?
it's about time the discussion here turned on the BOD instead of remaining focused on what a great drug bavi is. why did it take so long?
i was speaking to the flatline after the news. that makes sense.
cheynew...
the flatline makes sense.
avid and cash protect the downside relative to current market cap, and there isn't much upside. there isn't any reason for it to move.
cp.. 'small studies' equals YEARS away from revenue.
dead money till when?
i have 5 biotechs. now 3 of them have ended their big Phase 3's in the past 3 weeks for futility.
oh, joy.
since i've digested the loss from selling 75% of it, i'm surprisingly at peace already.
i went through some of the stages...anger, denial, etc......
then i just began missing dealing with the anticipation of higher prices of pphm...leading to the big spike....
instead, i had a day on the golf course in connecticut and didn't check my phone for the stock price ONCE. for the FIRST TIME.
read my lips: DEAD MONEY
maybe something will happen next year to move the price up temporarily.
like the BOD going into assisted living.
dead money.
again.
needless to say, i had Celldex (CLDX), too.
eb
i was a 'true long' for 15 years, if by 'true long' you mean someone who bought what tustin was selling.
i took great risks, and was burned. badly.
then i was burned badly again.
so i mostly bailed, beating myself up for not looking at the investment in time and emotion as numerous posters here advised i ...should.
i am still interested, but i'm not into BDSM.
if it plunges more, i'll get back in gently, depending on forthcoming comments from whoever is still in tustin. Avid's value is where the bottom is, and i'm not sure where that is yet.
if bavi is alive, this could be an easy 2-3 bagger, but i was wrong every other time i thought this thing might be a golden goose.
it's already been '3 strikes, you're out' for many. it's only '2 strikes' for me, and i do not intend to take a 3rd strike 'looking'.
this mess is total Fifty Shades of Steve King.
what a confusing mess. we have just enough info to believe the stuff works, and just enough info to think it's bullshit.
i got 75% out at .38. i'll get part way back in under.30, regardless of the 30 day rule.
for once, the share price could spike on the conference call if this stuff is legit and they manage to explain why the control number spiked.
if that happens, no doubt i'll be late getting back in.
must be great news coming
bottoms have been called at 2.10, 1.88, 1.54, 1.38, 1.21, 1.12, 1.01, .96, .90, .86, .84, .34,....
there's never a bottom here.
