I crunched some basic numbers today.. looks like this,
Linden is worth about 700 mil and generate approx 50-60m a year.the years leading up to the infringement meant about 50m from 2nd life alone in its hay day. My three scenarios are

1) linden settled at a discount of 1% of total profit from second life. (500m x1%)
= 5mil and a small royalty going forward of 5% approx be like 600k-2m per year

This adds enough to fight on further without any dilution. Boosting share price about .10-.15c. (Meh)

2) linden just agreed to infringement without much penalty let’s say 1m plus future 5% royalty lic agreements like above does even less for us besides adding validity and some minimal cash to keep things stable. Keeps share price the same.

3) best case they paid the 5% plus for past infringement equaling approx 50-60m adding $1 per share plus 5% ongoing annually. This puts us all sitting pretty. But I’m not sure they have that kinda lump sum so it might be agreed to be paid as an annuity. But still best case scenario.

Could be a combo of any of the above but regardless this went from dead money to almost better than we were before. If anything Casper is standing out like a pink elephant and one can only hope that hackers don’t get ahold of her freshly transferred bitcoins.

I definitely made a huge mistake not having the cash ready to buy up all those .08s that were flying around! FK

Wow I actually agree with you, I know for a fact that if I could walk away set for life staking 25m into defi projects earning 10% APY without a trace of evidence i would do the same, ask yourself, What would you do? The decision meant not only relief but set for life status. Money talks... that’s just how the cookie crumbles.

I have a feeling the linden settlement started a small fire that spread like a fireworks factory. No doubt those attorneys called linden and MSFT and said “hold my beer” time for the emergency luncheon at the local diner with miss Casper. Looking back at it all now it’s twisted and obv with timing that this was a sham. They saved that 101 for emergency use in case linden tosses in the towel. Operation nano ledger was a success’s and sloppy it was. However what does she care now... she’s sitting pretty collecting 200k a month interest ...

I couldn’t agree more... she was handed a nano ledger with 25m in BTC.... believe me that’s what happens. I’m VERY familiar with the crypto space luckily. No doubt this was a hand off and I said that to quilt months ago and people got upset.

So legit question... is the delay due to the other cases? Or is the delay because of settlement talks? Any insight? I would think the mutual agreement to extend the date would be good news?

The volume here does not support the shorting theory, if there’s no buyers all day in the .60s than why would they buy for $3... and naked shorting is the real problem these days... they just sell shares they don’t have without a care in the world... they never get in trouble. The system is rigged these days and the house always wins unfortunately. I’d be shocked if locking up 5m shares made any dif at all. JMO from past experience... don’t shoot the messenger lol

Honestly makes sense because the shares being sold are literally ghost shares that just show up to fill orders only to walk down the shares... the whole time fighting real people buying on the ask.... I’ve been watching all day everyday this whole run up and they seem to be pissing in the wind...

Yeah blatant that the market makers are walking this down... level 2 has nothing for sale in quantity and it’s thin out to almost .80! Who would possibly keep putting shares for sale under ask lol and under the current price! Seems like someone is pretty desperate to either shake loose shares or hold it back.... imagine when real volume steps in! Oh my! What a thought!

As anything can happen in these types of cases, I’m really hoping the legal team has timed things correctly. Quilt has me a little concerned about poking the stick at Microsoft and risking them challenging the patents all over again! Then ATVI can say well we better wait for that to play out?! Hopefully not and I’m trusting that our timing isn’t botched and we get some surprise news from one of the side pieces... LOTS of moving parts as they say... more to go wrong. But I’m still thankful for the chance to grab on last little baggy of wddd crack here on the cheap... as I’ve been a pretty heavy addict for 8+ years now.... :)

Thinking out loud here...Most financial brokerages won’t allow clients to buy anything under a dollar unless you have your own properly set up account. Even so some of the bigger names/ banks restrict “penny stock” to protect their clients from 95% of the BS that being said the liquidity here is tough! This new Microsoft suit has added incredible value and lime light to our cause.. let’s hope 101 clears some big players to ride the train!

Seems to me they are using 1 patent that has already fully survived the gauntlet and can’t be challenged (501) and without it the included games wouldn’t be possible.

No settlement will happen until there is a set court date and only hours remain...hence the term “settle on the courthouse steps” or I just see them going to trial like many other tech giants. Either way i think they are out of options for delays
