Interesting article from a week ago. Constellation had in place one of their own working on Canopy's U.S. strategy. Seems like an indication to me that even with Bruce gone Canopy's relationship with Acreage is full steam ahead with Constellation's blessing? I'm sure we'll find out over the next several months as we hopefully watch Acreage start evolving into Canopy 2.0.
https://www.cannabisbusinesstimes.com/article/canopy-growth-acreage-holdings-acquisition-mjmicro-update/
Andy Lytwynec, vice president of U.S. strategies at Canopy Growth, spoke at the MjMicro Conference in New York City this week about how the deal came to take shape and what the two companies are watching on a regulatory level. Lytwynec formerly worked with Constellation Brands, helping to craft that earlier investment.

Anyone with Scotia itrade receive their payment yet?
At the Canopy Acreage vote shareholder meeting Bruce said there will be no split. It was a possible idea but doesn't make sense anymore for various reasons (attraction of institutional investors, the float would get pretty huge especially when they combine with Acreage, etc.)
Bruce gonna buy some (boatload) Acreage shares?
Hope we find out soon if Canopy shareholders also voted yes at their meeting this morning.
If a Canopy stock split were to happen would the Canopy-Acreage exchange ratio also change to remain fair? Anyone know how that works?
Ahahaha I would actually buy that. Yoda the branding genius.
Pure speculation without knowing much about him but Scorsis probably just saw greater career advancement opportunity and was offered more $ going with Aphria. I'm sure they were happy to poach him. Now he's the CEO of Liberty Health/Aphria USA. Would you rather be a CEO or a director of a company? Maybe it was just a better fit for him and a bigger role. Canopy isn't expanding to the U.S. anytime soon and perhaps working there is exciting to him. Unless he speaks German it's not like we could offer him CEO of Germany operations. Maybe a little negative but doesn't work out too bad for Canopy since he was President of Mettrum when their whole pesticide scandal went down under his watch. It's still not exactly clear what actually happened there but Canopy had to overhaul their operations to meet our standards.
Wow, that's great to hear!
Oh man that's hardcore. You're one crazy dude... but we already knew that! ;) Guess I'm still a cannabis lightweight. 1/2ml Argyle oil is the perfect dose for me. Been doing that since it first became available. It helps anxiety/depression/mood, stress, feel more relaxed, better sleep, mild body pain. Overall I just love it as a balanced CBD/THC strain but I'm also interested in trying the Penelope oil for a step up. You may think the Argyle oil looks weak but it can be pretty powerful stuff. Luckily the oil format works well for me and I find it more convenient than vaping. I've bought both flower and oils but always end up using the oils. Cheers!
I love the Argyle oil. It's my staple... always have it around. Have you tried the Penelope oil? That one sold out quickly when it became available in oil.
Imo not worth the risk of getting kicked off the TSX and onto the CSE until they definitively change their policy in writing to clearly allow U.S. investment/operations. Canopy has always sought legitimacy as a company and for the sector. How would it look if the industry leader jumped the gun in the U.S. and got booted off the TSX...
Lots to do in Germany and the rest of EU while waiting for the TSX to change their policy.
Germany license run or Canada legalization run?
There will be new developments for years to come.
"Despite the laments of Premier Brian Pallister and other premiers, Ottawa is firm on its deadline: Canadians will be able to legally use recreational marijuana on July 1.
Health Minister Jane Philpott said in Winnipeg on Thursday that civil servants across Canada are already preparing for legalization and there will not be an extension, as requested by Pallister."

Good luck, sir. Hope there's an opportunity for you to buy back your shares. Or you could always diversify...
The chart kinda looks like it could break out but who knows.
Nope. He said summer of 2018. Ha funny how you become a prohibitionist after you sell some shares. We'll see the Premiers' Working Group on Cannabis Legalization report by Nov. 1.

That's not what he said. Trudeau said "summer of 2018." Same deadline. No delay.

Germany domestic license news could drop at anytime before September.
We'd be hard-pressed to find a CEO that works harder than Bruce to run this ship. Who would you rather? An exec, perhaps a little rough around the edges, who is 110% dedicated and passionate about this industry and plant and is always working because they just can't get enough of it? Or a more "polished" suit who still takes vacations a year before the biggest catalyst this industry has ever seen and whose resume makes up for what they lack in vision? Trading in the former for the latter at this pivotal time for the sector would be a big mistake imo.
Still drinking the Bruce Kool-Aid while some others calling for his head. Not time to throw in the towel. The game hasn't even begun yet.
The plot thickens...
GMP 'designation' not equal to certification. CanniMed isn't currently a GMP certified #ACMPR LP!
— Deepak Anand (@_deepakanand) June 19, 2017
Health Canada doesn't certify any LP as GMP. #ACMPR is GPP standards not GMP. All 3 LP's mentioned above have been EU certified for GMP.
— Deepak Anand (@_deepakanand) June 20, 2017
'Follow' and 'Guided' aren't the same as certified and licenced. They are not GMP certified by any regulatory body.
— Deepak Anand (@_deepakanand) June 21, 2017
Non-event as explained in the PR. Whole sector is suffering.
Alright here you go Dogger:
https://www.newcannabisventures.com/tweed-dealers-license-expands-cannabis-research-capabilities/
"SMITHS FALLS, ON, Dec. 12, 2016 /CNW/ – Tweed Inc. (Tweed), a wholly owned subsidiary of Canopy Growth Corporation (Canopy Growth or the Company) (TSX: CGC) (OTC: TWMJF) has received a Dealers Licence pursuant to the provisions of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and its Regulations and will now begin operating this purpose built area, built to GMP specifications, within its production facility in Smiths Falls, Ontario. The issuance of the licence follows an extensive multi-year process that included application, design, construction and security clearance of key personnel.
Licensed activities will occur in a distinct area of the facility focused on strategic projects beyond Tweed’s existing operational scope. As a licensed dealer, Tweed will be able to conduct research and possess cannabis and cannabis derivatives in forms that are not currently covered by the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). It can also begin development of innovative products for future market opportunities, and with necessary approvals undertake the export of non-dried form of cannabis to other jurisdictions.
"
Vic at Aphria really wants one of these licenses and has been in the application process for over a year. Aphria hasn't managed to get one yet but hope to. Very stringent and long application process.
https://ryecast.ryerson.ca/12/Watch/11398.aspx
If you listen to this panel near the end why Dealers License is such a big deal and so valuable was brought up multiple times by Vic himself.
This is referring to Canopy Health Innovations (CHI). That would be a cost-effective use of GMP rather than all their facilities being GMP. Imo Dealer's License, which Canopy has, is a big deal and something to really get excited about moreso than GMP. It's a very stringent process and takes multiple years to get a Dealer's License. Probably haven't heard anything about CHI having GMP cause they don't bother to broadcast fluff.
Check your facts. Lol at all the companies claiming they're the only GMP license.
“Currently, the ACMPR is limited to oils that are liquid at room temperature. That’s all you have right now. But the ability to work with other forms outside of the ACMPR but under a GMP license provides companies who have access to this, like Canopy Health, the ability to work on different formulations, different delivery systems that allow us to try to advance medical cannabis products to another level, a next generation essentially."

I've been so impressed with every response he's made. On point at all times. Mr. Blair is the perfect guy for this job and this will be his new legacy. Hope you get a chance to watch live next time they're debating (and hopefully voting and moving this to committee very soon).

Really like the Grasslands branding. Nice work Tweed.
Nice Tweed Grasslands brand is also up:

Good points. Although I do hope his technical analysis triangle breakout theory brings some traders and volume to the stock. :)
Only Foria can give someone that level of sophisticated insight. You must have tested some yourself.
Now you're seeing clearly. Thanks for spelling it out for us. :)
CanniMed is a good little medical brand tho so I'll give them that. But I fear MedReleaf will give them competition on that front as a pure medical play. Only because MedReleaf seems like a more clever name and their ticker will be LEAF. LEAF > CMED obvs. They both have Med in their names. It's fun doing in depth analysis.
Hopefully everyone knows I'm being sarcastic. Imo CMED blew their head start and they don't have a rec brand. As a matter of fact their CEO is pretty much against recreational legalization.
But all the recreational users will only want to use the CanniMed brand not Tweed. Did that factor into your calculations? :)
CMED has been at this the longest. They had the biggest head start in the sector... that's why they're #1 and no one can compete with them. ;)
