Are you still publishing"The Villain" through Red Giant?
White Widow #2 was solicited in November 2018. March 2019 Diamond Comics issued an eligible for order adjustment due to lateness notice. The Diamond retailer web site currently lists a 5/29/2019 due date.
I guess he must have been comparing the first issues, since Walking Dead currently sells many more issues. Benny actually got one right.
I thought Benny said in the video that White Widow did numbers on par with Walking Dead.

You can say a lot about Benny, but he's no quitter.
There's nothing they can do. I assume most have moved on to other projects. It must be annoying to see your name in the credits of projects that will never arrive. Everyone has to deal with failure, but leaving REDG in the past would be easier if Benny didn't keep trying to ride this dead horse to the finish line.
Benny continues to prove that he is only in the business of soliciting product. I don't think it is a profitable business model, however.
I feel badly for the artists and writers whose names are repeatedly associated with this embarrassment of a company because of these listings for work from several years ago.
I didn't know they were public either. They seem to be a well run outfit with a lot of product, mostly licensed properties. You know, practically a mirror image of Red Giant.
Did you notice IDW on the list?

It would be near impossible to get anything if Benny does own a home in FL.
Benny still proving he can successfully solicit books. I don't know why he would bother to solicit "Shadow Children" at this point. The numbers were abysmal the first time he tried it. You can't move product with no promotional support.
Also, it is a title that can't go past a few issues. Even if he got the book to press, once he burns through the current inventory of finished stories it will most likely be over. He really should start fresh with product that has a future.
I spoke to Campiti on the phone. This is what he had to say regarding REDG.
He officially resigned from Red Giant's board more than two months ago (on January 11, 2018) for health reasons. After two TIA strokes, and incidents of passing out, it was affecting his quality of life. He said it was very stressful dealing with a person "having a very singular vision."
He has no idea why Red Giant failed to announce his resignation, but he did say he's still a shareholder and wishes them success moving forward. He even put in writing to them that his Glass House people are still available if they publish anything moving forward.
David's been dealing with Dabel Brothers for about 17 years on and off, he said. So when all his advice to Red Giant fell on deaf ears, he pitched a couple of his Red Giant-rejected ideas to Dabel Brothers, starting with adult coloring books from specific licenses.
David also mentioned a project he and David Lawrence created together has been picked up by a production company for development as a TV series.
So, definitely no conflict with Dabel and REDG. Campiti has left the building.
No definitive ship dates available from Diamond for those titles. Each one, as well as the yet to be released earlier issues, all show a default ship date of 6/27/2018.
Usually March solicits ship in May. REDG would have to do some serious catching up if they expect to ship Wayward Legends #6 in May considering Issue #1 has yet to be released.
They seem to be continuing with their primary business of soliciting product. I don't know what the revenues are for simply advertising product that does not get released. Probably fairly modest.
Shouldn't that be THE INFINITE DEADLINE?
Looks like all the REDG titles are scheduled to not come out together. Must be the fault of the artists and writers. Freelancers are notoriously undependable.
You have a way with words hurtinjohn. Ever consider writing for REDG?
Just checked the Diamond Comic shipping next week list and REDG doesn't have anything on the list.
The next round of books from REDG originally slated for 1/31/18 have been moved to 2/07/18 according to the Diamond Comic Retailer web site.
I somewhat disagree. I think it could best be categorized as brilliant satire. But, why quibble?
Educational comics are perfect for REDG. Many people have already learned some lessons.
Correction to my last post. Actually comic shops were offered the Giant Size line in 50 unit bundles to give away to their customers.
Sitcomics is nothing like the Giant Sized line. Sit comics are sold with a $3.99 retail and available in comic shops. The Giant Sized line was supposed to be completely free and given away at Toys 'R Us, bypassing retail comic shops. It was also designed to have a massively ambitious distribution of 1 million copies per week with the intention of making REDG the largest publisher of comics in the industry.
I think REDG should commit to the Giant Size line and get distribution through F.W. Woolworth.
Tell me more of this Sony Betamax. It intrigues me.
If this company recovers, they will be worthy of an epic poem that will make Beowulf seem like a haiku in comparison.
Publishing the Villain does make sense for REDG. My point was that book getting published was due to the efforts of Mikael Bergkvist and Co. I'm just surprised he couldn't find a more dependable publisher with whom to partner.
REDG keeps soliciting books, then they fail to deliver after constantly pushing the release dates back. They do have many completed books and yet, so far, They have only released the first Villain and Markiplier #1 to retailers. They actually didn't even handle the Villain. They merely solicited the book in Previews.
The Neal Adams connection would account for a few retailers taking notice. It might help if Neal had any info about this comic on his web site. If it is there I couldn't find it.
The Villain probably did sell better than any of the other REDG titles which probably puts most of them below 2,000 units. That level doesn't even cover the production costs which is probably not unusual for the industry at this point. Everyone's goal is the lucrative licensing deal.
Just about every comic below the top ten are achieving sales figures that would have been cancellation numbers in the 70's and 80's for Marvel.
ORDER STATUS: THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR ORDER REDUCTIONS
DUE TO VENDOR LATE SHIPPING, MIS-SOLICITATION, OR ORDERS MATCHED TO A PREVIOUS SOLICITATION.
12/18/17 1 OCT171761 F MARKIPLIER #2 (OF 4) (RES) 3.9900
12/18/17 1 OCT171763 F VILLAIN #2 (OF 5) (MR) 3.9900
Amped and Duel Identity also slated for 1/31/2018. The last week of January is going to be a huge shipping week for REDG.
Darchon, Katrina, Wayward Sons and Wayward Legends are being listed by Diamond Comics as shipping 1/31/2018. Magika is showing 12/27/2017 for a ship date.
Still makes it Benny's fault. He runs active Media the print broker that uses Chinese print shops. The logistical component is well known to him. He has been touting the low cost as a major attribute for REDG.
If the decisions he makes result in the books being late, it is only his fault. He can't claim ignorance on this count. We don't even know if the other titles made it to the printer.
Markiplier is being shipped, but none of the several other titles scheduled from REDG for 11/29 are arriving on time. These titles already had their shipping dates pushed forward by a month.
Powfolio no longer exists. The domain is for sale. The link from the Deadline Comics web site brings the user to a page advertising the domain for sale.
Basically you are inferring that Mr. Rhoades is the new CEO because a press release claimed he joined the board and later in the same release it stated that Benny was the outgoing CEO.
I believe you made quite a leap there. Redg can't afford someone with his resume and he would be crazy to devalue himself to other employers by working at Redg for short money.
It is not logical to think Shirrel Rhoades assumed the position of CEO for REDG.
I'm still confused about your mentioning a new CEO. I haven't seen anything which explicitly states that a new CEO has been hired by REDG.
Do you have a link to a filing or any written statement stating such?
I'll let others provide critique. I found it interesting that it was printed in Sweden.
Diamond shows Markiplier as arriving next week, but none of the other redg titles that are supposed to ship at the same time.
I have a copy of "The Villain" #1 in my hands.
As I had posted previously, Diamond had The Villain scheduled for 11/22 and it has, in fact, been invoiced and will be shipping on that date. Apparently Benny can't even get that important date correct on the Redg web site, where it is listed as 11/29.
I will post when I have it in my hands on Wednesday.
