Have you checked back this year 2021?
Yes, they have been buying hand over fist since Oct 23rd according to what I read here https://sec.report/Document/0000904793-20-000012/.
I'm sure you know the CEO purchased 24,000 shares for his own account and all about the stategic buyback of 500K shares. Sooner or later this doggie will start showing decent eps. Or am I dreaming?
ps I remember you from way back when. There's virtually no one left on this board now. When down so much $ so long just waiting around with a hope and a prayer for a buyout or some other good fortune.
I've got not a clue, but of course one notices a doubling! GL
Down about 80% on my lame-brained 'investment', here probably 5 years. Glad for anything that will snap us out of the permanent doldrums. Reverse and then steadily buying back shares might work as DSNY is a solid company with good fundamentals.
Looks like I got fortunate for once...
Agreed, just WOW, a 25% haircut.
King Hemp. I believe it will reign indeed.
I sold all but 100 shares of XXII just before the last spurt at $2.92 and haven't repurchased. For better or for worse...
This is a good development and thanks Marion for bringing up the topic at the CC...
Unidentified Analyst
Okay. One last thing. Marion [ph] commented on your editorial. My feeling is with the savings - well, first of all, with Big Tobacco misleading the general public for so many years and costing the general public so many dollars with us footing the bill for all the medical expenses, it seems like we could capitalize on our angle of saving so much money. And perhaps, we could pick up some investors if we pursued that a little bit more.
Henry Sicignano
Well, I think you're right. And we are bringing on, in just a few short months, a new head of regulatory science. And one of his first charges is going to be to engage those kinds of efforts. We'd like to get more and more pieces out in the press, expressing exactly that view.
I missed the op-ed in the Washington Observer that was mentioned in the live conference call by an Unidentified analyst. Henry responded positively with, "Well, that's an excellent point. And to be honest with you, we'd like to do more of that. And I think it's been a big undertaking for our small company to compile 100,000 pages for this MRTP application. But my expectation is that when that application is filed, that all of our folks will have much more time to devote to op-eds like that. We plan to do much more of that in the new year in support of Very Low Nicotine cigarettes generally. So thank you for your observation, and I think you're spot on.
Can anyone provide a link to this Op-ed?
Thank you
Smarter than many of us perhaps... not a shabby gain, looks like a $12M gain on how many share did they hold / did they sell? I thought they held around 1.4M shares; anybody know more exactly what was held? sold?
Thanks
Yes, pray tell what's their present / past relationship with the company?
Thanks for posting 'Frenchy'
All great but I loved this part
I'm with you on that 100%. Very interesting what the ? Israeli doctor? was saying about health consequences of vaping on youth.
Hope this Farm Bill gets through, some partisan in-fighting erupting lately. Hope it pans out well.

Nice post 'esad1'. I believe you are right on the money. This Aurora deal with Anandia has changed the landscape markedly. E-cigs are finding a foe in the FDA... surprise and tough luck for the disbelievers.
I was wondering what had made you disappear...
exhausted no? Trying to pronounce XYOSTED. Y is silent I believe.
Maybe one of Sendme's charts would be more illuminating than my guess.
To your question I would say I hope not but who can tell? I sold all at $3.95 earlier this year and bought back in more shares mostly at $2.85 -- too early as it turned out; wish I had waited another 30-45 days.
There's a lot more good news underpinning the stock than before... Aurora/Anandia, no ANPRM extension given to BT, legal recreational pot in Canada will ramp things up, Mitch's Farm Bill, and the published 125 persons study. Also FDA fining vape shops and sending warning letters.
So, if not now. soon anyway... we break $4. Might be frustrated a while longer is all. MM always gotta get their pound of flesh, so they might flush weak hands again.
Let's compare to the last time the sellers (short and naked shorts or our lovely 'orderly market' makers) snuffed out the price rise on larger volume:
Jul 06, 2018 2.98 2.99 2.70 2.85 2.85 Vol. 3,086,800
Jul 05, 2018 2.78 3.01 2.70 2.93 2.93 Vol. 4,948,400
What's gonna happen this time around? Methinks a repeat!
'Brook'... he told you who he was in post #14244:
Good luck! Good to hear from a LT investor.
Here since 2014, accumulated more in 2017-18
No stock goes straight up. Expect retracement unless bigger news breaks. Every day we're moving closer and closer to the Golden Cross however. Better to be at chart watchers than respond to every pump-and-dump you read on the internet regarding your investment.
Sendme's chart are quite interesting.
I wonder if we'll hear anything about our 3 new trials / short studies at the September Scientific Conference?

DESCRIPTION
Sex differences may influence susceptibility to substance misuse, which could have implications for optimal prevention and treatment. Gender influences also impact public health from an environmental perspective. In order to identify and treat women most at risk, researchers, educators, and clinicians must be able to recognize and consider both sex and gender differences.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Women’s Health in collaboration with the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, and Center for Tobacco Products will be hosting a 2-day meeting, “Scientific Conference: Opioid and Nicotine Use, Dependence, and Recovery - Influences of Sex and Gender” to address this important issue. The conference will include presentations by experts in the field of opioid and tobacco research, professional education, and clinical care on the biological (sex) and sociological (gender) influences on use, misuse, and recovery.

Thanks Niagara... " a total of 41 undersigned top-of-the-tier public health and medical organizations in the U.S. called for the new rule to be finalized by March 2019 and take effect by March of 2020." If that actually happens... BOOM

The litigation risk of Philip Morris International just rose exponentially as its decade-old agreement with the European Union to combat cigarette smuggling expires and the commission has opted to not extend it. With its cloak of legal protection now removed, investors ought to expect anti-smoking activists to launch lawsuits against the tobacco company for its alleged role in the illicit cigarette trade.
It's been argued that as government taxation of tobacco products approached usurious levels, the tobacco companies sought to minimize the duties they had to pay by conspiring with smugglers who were often connected to organized crime to trade cigarettes on the black market.
Investigations purported to show that executives of Philip Morris, Reynolds-American (NYSE:RAI), British American Tobacco (NYSE:BTI), and others were well aware of the nefarious connections their shady partners had, and with lawsuits piling up against them, they entered into an agreement with the EU to be shielded from liability for smuggling in exchange for making annual payments to the European Commission (EC) that would go to programs to combat cigarette smuggling.
The deal was signed on July 9, 2004 and would run for a period of 12 years. Similar agreements were subsequently signed with British American Tobacco, Imperial Tobacco (NASDAQOTH:IMBBY), and Japan Tobacco (NASDAQOTH:JAPAF), but lawsuits against Reynolds' R.J. Reynolds division are still going on.

I agree Brook. It was a relevant post; thanks Frenchy!
LOVE IT just generally. Hope (not trust) such a Bill will eventually benefit us... what's not clear is exactly how.
Allow me to fill in at least some of the blacked-out areas shown In Dorothy Hatsukami’s submission to the FDA on June 11, 2018 Re: Docket number FDA - 2017- N - 6189, RIN 0910-AH86, “Tobacco Products Standard for Nicotine Level of Combusted Cigarettes”
Study Outcomes
** Reduced toxicant exposure in the VLNC group with only non combusted products.
** Increasing use of non cigarette combusted products in the VLNC group with access to both combusted and non-combustible products.
** Greater uptake of non combusted product was significantly.
(p< 0.001) associated with:
Greater reductions in combusted product use
Greater number of days abstinent from combusted products
Lower total NNAL
This information was readily available in a YouTube video that was up and running for about a week until I copied a screen shot on April 14th. Presumably Dorothy herself put it up. My take on this is that she keeps leaking parts of the study outcomes in order to embarrass those that are presumably under heavy pressure not to complete the peer review process and publish the study results. I wish I knew the name of the scientific journal that she submitted to… anyone have a clue which one it is that’s taking forever and forever to move forward and publish?
GREAT FIND 'vl39'
I like the ending, clearing up some debate about whether or not the FDA already had access to the full study results. It appears not by my reading at least. How do you read her final paragraph with regard to the FDA’s inaction? The FDA is on hold just like we are, correct?
Dorothy Hatsukami, PhD
in short:
BUT... the press release [fait accompli] on 22nd Century Groups website is dated JUNE 25, 2018. Same day as Frenchy's post. Not so old as it concreted aspects of the Aurora - Anandia deal merely speculated about previously:
I see you losing your hindquarter if you are indeed short. Probably your $$ ain't where your mouth is though.
