Exactly how is that working out for shareholders? ITs management
dude!
Surprised management has no reply. Crack pot management instead plays the ostrich head in the sand. While they should have said they have protocol set up possibly a labor relations person to follow up with these type of allegations. This really bothers me as it should every shareholder or potential shareholder. Sounds like it's time to unionize. Steal tips from a $16 an hour budtender and then management or staff gets meals. I don't trust management as this really takes the cake. Getting a settlement is one thing for the grieved individual is one thing, but running a business with no integrity and then pull this crap is totally reason to ignore this POS like the plaque!
Self centered with no concept of employees as slaves. The reviews are pitiful by past and present employees. Just a bunch of arrogant self righteous egotistical maniacs focused on entitlements from employees and shareholders!
Colorado sales continue to tank in a big way. On pace to about $1.4 bil. Down from over $2.2 bil. in 2022. Pretty much down every month. Customer rating were bad but continue to get worse. However bonuses are still great for the executives. Whatever happened to performance based? Grocery salesmen.
Definitely not a good thing. Hope they get a responce on why this is happening.
Anyone able to crunch the numbers from N.M. for total sales in March numbers for SHWZ dispensaries. Looking for a turnaround with new CEO and wholesale numbers. Maybe the stars are starting to allign.
N.M. cannibus sales set a record of $52.5 sales for March which is 5% higher than record for Dec. It would be Bice to see SHWZ start to get a bigger slice of the pie.
Regardless what they paid I believe they were bleeding money and it was time to unload them. Their focus needs to be retail and wholesale.
Certainly good to see a turnaround in wholesale. I believe Drissen or something like that from SLGWF was hired to turnaround wholesale and it appears they are gaining traction.
You are very smart guy and knew it wasn't good. This q was not a guessing game for anyone with half a brain.we added all these dispensaries. Next thing bankruptcy? Or diluted to oblivion. Notes ane coming due in 25 and 26.
Next q no better.probably worse.
Horrific to say the least!. However, expected from me based on what we knew.. Gaining market is a flat out not true in N.M
Guess we will find out in a couple of hours whether the funds buying had a clue. My guess clueless thus not smart money. To think every buy they made is totally red.
With good reason. Revenues gave dropped month after month in N.M We' e had a problem with leadership at the top. Hopefully with the CFO acting as interim CEO we have new ideas and ways to bring people through the doors. Obviously we need change. Really don't expect nothing but same stuff. Talking about gaining market share is insane. Look at N.M growing sales as a whole yet Revenues down.. it really is simple math. Sure hope I'm wrong!!
Definitely under performing in a big way. Sure hope management surprises on the upside but really doubt it. Time for a management shake-up if the q is what I expect. Also to make matters worse q1 will be no better based on
SHWZ N.M. numbers and probable much worse. They seem to spend more time figuring share bonuses than managing the business. The only possible thing pulling us out of the forementioned sales numbers in N.M. is the guy from SLGWF pulls out a miracle with wholesale. I guess we still have hope!
No need to throw stones as I think the move was needed and noted. Looking forward to see if this new CEO can turn this around. Do you know for sure if wholesale numbers are excluded from N.M. numbers? I asked before but nobody was 100% sure.
However, agree 100% with the pro's and con's. Getting rid of prior CEO was essential for any chance of success. IMO, personally Dye realized he wasn't getting the job done thus passing off the baton to someone he thought was more qualified. We need management who is well versed in all aspects of cannibus. Now to deal with management's arrogance of the employees behind the counters. IMO, that is problematic by the reviews posted.
Burification? Don't have the time nor the inclination.
As far as being on this board I've given my thought and opinion many times sometimes right and sometimes wrong.
Keeping it very clear and not going on a cryptic rant about my intelligence.
Even with Feb. sales for N.M. The total sales were up over 2% from prior month yet SHWZ was not. This is not encouraging.
Yet I hold hope the interim CEO can turn this prior disappointing data per store around. Something Dye or the recently departed CEO was unable to do.
Again to imply what you did could not be farther from the truth.
N.M. sales for Feb. we're $48 Mil. up from Jan. A 2.25% increase. Let's hope we get a little jump from the prior month. However, if past is any indication I wouldn't hold my breathe.
As we all know q4 is going to suck. We have more than doubled our stores in N.M. actually almost tripled them. Yet our sales is currently less than the original 12. Yes the dispensaries in totality have went from 600 to 1050 but the math with the man at the helm is putrid. Why?
I believe what happened had to happen as no other mso has tripled the dispensaries count in any given state to this degree. Their is a reason for this precipitous drop in sales and until they find someone at the helm who can fix this. You lead from the top and if you can do this with happy employees and satisfied customers this will never happen.
Totally agree success is so often directly associated with the cfo. You will see times where a new cfo is hired and the stock climbs immediately. This could be the reason for volume increase and price. A ceo with with extensive cfo experience. I hope this becomes permanent and not just in the interim. Might have to start buying a few shares. This is a positive.
With a resume so long and currently so engaged in so many companies how can one effectively have the time and resources? It's like there is 24 hrs a day.. There is numerous ongoing responsibilities which would really take away the focus at any obligation. Any one besides me ask themselves that?
But why in such an aggressive manner? They could add the same amount of shares over a couple of weeks and not push the price up. 200k today in a little over an hour eod. I firmly believe volume tells the story. In the meantime enjoy and lighten the load as no one can fault anyone. Last time we saw this volume Dye was buying in hopes of laws being changed
There is definitely more to this than rescheduling or banking. Today's volume confirmed IMO. Makes more sense today than yesterday that something is happening behind the scenes. We hit a new high for the year with double the volume. I believed this already before you alluded to this the other day. What do these guys know that we don't? Nobody knows when banking or other laws will effectively happen. Even if they did someone like TCNNF would benefit much more with the population in Florida especially if/when they legalize. My guess is merger of some type is brewing in bankground as 65 dispensaries and grow opps are worth alot for someone wanting to get in N.M. and Co. Even more so if someone is already there as synergies would be eye-boggling for the seed to sale which management has built. With the volume of SHWZ and stagnation of other MSO's stock prices nothing else makes sense. Plus we all know earnings definitely isn't the reason here. I've also considered the selling of wholesale division or even something with the bio-division as we have heard nothing about them. Then their is going private with DYE. Not 100% sure about anything other than these buyers of the stock know something we don't.
This is confusing as all mso's are literally not moving yet 2 funds are buying almost daily pushing us to 52 week highs. While calling for $1.50 I thought we would move in tandem. But the fact is absolutely no one else is. Any thoughts to why? I'm clueless.
Thx for the well thought out response in defense of JD and his team.
What I want to point out that drives me nuts is the constant boasting of the company and how much better blah blah blah than everyone else while cherry picking facts, ignoring relevant things such as sales per square foot, per store, along with others while not comparing these things with facts instead of glossing over and generalizing.
What stands out for a great CEO in my opinion is one who leads with industry changes and is willing to adapt. Florida is full of people and competition yet the leader (TCNNF)continues to grow sales and not on a continuous rant full of excuses.Lower your prices or do something to increase traffic through the doors. .Find a way to compete with the black market.
Last but not least hire some experts within the industry possibly from CA. where this industry originated from who have so much experience. Then give these people the ability to make decisions and not boxed in with the plan that you have worked out and the perimeters from the grocery days. Do innovative things and take a chance with success or failure. One last thing being these high dollar acquisitions stop the change and renovations to a minimum as they were already very good and that is why they bought them. Let me ask does the huge new renovation worth the cost and the time shut down for a a few percentage points? I do not believe so as many customers will find another dispensary near by and never come back while waiting for 3-6 months.
I'm think s-term $1.50 and $2.00 by election if Banking passes which after this last week appears to be inevitable. However, I've been wrong before. After that mergers galore as the smaller chains 15 stores or less die or get eaten alive. By year end the picture will be much clearer. When these changes occur I suspect Big tobacco, alcohol, and pharmacies make major acquisitions. Someone like SHWZcould either be bought out as the management has far from liven up to expectations. With season experts running the company $5 -10 is not out of the question within a couple of years. With what the FDA and the committee has done with bilateral support all is good. But never forget the hammer will be not on the Senate this time. Remember I believe it was McConnel would never bring it for a vote. I'm now going bullish on SHWZ as I believe this time.... but please do your own DD as I might be wrong
IPS good to hear from you!
For me I see things much different as layoffs are in the news daily. Most of these currently are white collar jobs with most of these 6 figure incomes. This will imo affect the top end housing with many foreclosures which will impact housing. Retail sales were the lowest they have beenfor the last 13 months. Even McDonalds is struggling terrible. The debt for the
person is insane with many unable to pay but the minimum. If retail sales continue to decline as I suspect bankruptcies are going to go up
precipitously. I'm not trying to be negative but these are the facts.
This in turn 2nd half 2024 rates will start decline. Banking will pass along with shedule 3. This will help SHWZ tremendously as they will then refinance at much lower rates and will without taking the time to figure save $10 mil alone in interest payments imo oer year.Regardless, of the poor sales per store they still are doing very well financially and will be a survivor. With or without banking and schedule 3 many will not survive as prices will continue to drop and much of the black market disappears.
This do nothing congress will do anything to keep their jobs. Let's not forget the federal government is broke and no one wants more taxes.
My biggest belief is A1 will start not only continue to get rid of white collar but blue collar is next leaving us with 2 classes of people rich and poor.
Banking changes everything here with refinance and the expectation of rates dropping later this year!
Nice someone was there supporting the price. Another fund?
Certainly like the interest they are showing. Hope it continues. I wonder why they don't let the stock cool and then add cheaper. With only 7k traded out 133k after doubling SHWZ would definitely drift lower with a lack of interest. WE need some retail buying here imo or down we go. IMO
I sure hope your right Doc. as usually you are. Maybe your right about wholesale sales. Fwiw, I still have hope but still a realistic. Also it looks like $1.50 is coming sooner than later. GLTA
Really confused here as a crappy earnings report is all but a given. TCNNF and others have all dropped precipitously in the last 4 -5 trading days and now SHWZ has risen almost to where it was on the run. Other mso's have all dropped. Any idea why these funds are adding at higher prices? Anybody?
Glad they were willing to pay for it at the ask.
Along with where is why they are buying. Certainly would be nice some news. It's been awhile
No idea yet Doc is still bullish. Wonder why? Great wholesale sales?
We need cannibus experience not grocery experience!
This is nothing more than the golden goose for Dye and Co. Schedule 3 or complete legalization can't help these guys. Either step down or sell. We aren't selling groceries!
Dec. was almost $4 Mil.i was wrong almost a 10% decrease with so many new dispensaries. Management is so busy blowing their horn at every call it makes me sick! They did $6 Mil a month with I believe the 1st acquisition of 12 dispensaries in 22. Most everything they've bought has turned into crap. I'm going to say it management sucks along with their plan. Expect the same from Colorado. Somehow we will once again a line of crap will flow out of their mouth. It's no wonder we have not heard anything positive from IPS. How in the heck do you almost triple store count and have sales drop more than 33%? Exactly why is J.D. still sucking CEO pay as a consultant along with options grants along with other perks? The last CEO lied about deals and this guy boasts about crackpot Management with horrendous results. Comments welcome and the sugar coating from all of us have to end and call it what it is. Hopefully Management does read this board!
Do you know what Dec was? Does this include wholesale? With overall sales down almost 10% in N.M. for Jan. they did do ok.
The biggest problem I see are revenues. We have added so many dispensaries in N.M. yet our real growth is non-existant. They can fudge this number with graphs etc. and bottom line minuscule. Also the prosecution of the dispensaries doing illegal things need to be substantial and not a slap on the wrist for a measly measly 10k or suspended for 30 days. These fines are meaningless at that point. You had 1 dispensary that I believe had a $1,000,000 fine but back in business in 90 days. With blatant infractions they should be shut down permanently. Generally they pay thousands in fines after making millions avoiding the rules. How does that stop the problems. It's simple math!
46.268 Mil for Jan. which is down from Dec. I believe SHWZ will not have a good report unless wholesale shines. Oops this is for N.M. Also 1,050 dispensaries which is basically flat. GLTA!
