Anyone have their cash dividend show up in their account yet? I have Schwab, it's not in mine yet.
What do you think this means for GBTC. It is holding up remarkably well considering BTC seems to be crashing.
Classic case of sell on the news, but I do think we reach $40 by years end
Bill Gates article today on LinkedIn, talks about using sunlight to Split water to Hydrogen and Oxygen. Might need LinkedIn account to read.

Hi Mel, still here! Nothing like good news to bring us lurkers out from the shadows into the sunlight!
Sunworks Awarded Patent for 3-Dimensional Solar Cell Technology
ROSEVILLE, CA--(Marketwired - February 02, 2017) - Sunworks, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUNW), a leading provider of solar power solutions, announced that the Chinese Patent Office has granted a patent for the company's 3- dimensional solar cell technology.
"An important part of Sunworks' mission has always been to further the widespread adoption of solar power by deploying affordable, state-of-the-art systems and utilizing breakthrough solar technologies," said Jim Nelson, CEO of Sunworks. "This patent strengthens the IP assets of Sunworks and demonstrates our commitment to innovation and further advances the viability of our unique and innovative technology."
A request for patent was originally filed on October 11, 2011, and the official date of issuance was June 1, 2016. The Company has now received the Patent Certificate issued by the patent office in China and it has been announced in the Chinese Patent Gazette Issue No. CN 103415929 B. Titled Three-Dimensional Power Systems and Methods of Making Same, the new cell is able to collect sunlight from wider angles and cause light to bounce within its 3-dimensional microstructure. The process continues until the cell is fully absorbed, thereby maximizing the rate of conversion from sunlight to electricity.

Thanks for the response Bucky. It seems to me like they are setting the stage for a much larger company. Of course, won't happen overnight, but from 6 directors to 15 is a huge jump. Maybe 6-10 acquisitions in the next 5 years or so would do the trick. Let's hope they get there!
I call that Whoop Whoop and raise you a whoop!
Let's see what Yogi and Boo Boo have to say about this!
Right on Bro.... Between a huge backlog of work due to bad weather coupled with now being able to install 50% more efficiently, I look for Q2 to be a total blowout!
And we are profitable. Earnings for full year 2016 projected to be .19, this is off Schwab website. That would give us a projected eps of 20, ridiculously small for a company growing by over 100% per year.
Couldn't agree more Derek. I've seen good companies stock price fall for no reason, only to recover and skyrocket for no reason. That's why I'm staying long and strong. The fundamentals are too good with SUNW for it to stay down for too long. Great company, great CEO, fantastic growth rate, and profitable(20x earnings by years end). Anyone who knows how to value a stock should see this, and not let other peoples unfounded opinions sway their confidence in SUNW!
TJS, once the institutions realize how undervalued we are and start doing some serious buying, share price should reflect true value of this company. Using a very conservative 2x revenues, stock should be trading at $8-$10 by years end. Keep the faith longs, better days are coming soon!
The last 2 days there has been a 25,000 share buy above the ask at the close. This is not retail buying. Either insider or institutional. They are beginning to pile in!
My sentiments exactly Carl.....well said!
Agree the coal companies got overleveredged, and that we had to use dilution initially to get started. My point is we have 10 million cash that is to be used for acquisitions. Since we are looking for companies for under 10 million and are projected to start earning around 10 million a year, any debt acquired will quickly be paid off. So I don't see a need for more dilution.
But none of those are profitable companies. Debt isn't always a bad thing if you are profitable and can pay it down. Those companies are all overextended and acquired debt just to stay afloat. My hope is that the 10 million Nelson gained by part of the dilution will be used to buy the next profitable company with cash. Then after that, don't use dilution to buy companies. We would then be large enough and profitable enough to get manageable debt for future acquisitions.
These notes are not toxic. As per Cambridge Dictionary:
(finance) Debt acquired through normal financial transactions which later proves to have little or no actual value
Since this debt has added CONSIDERABLE Revenue and EARNINGS to this company, it is not toxic. I do somewhat agree with you on the business model though. I am not a fan of acquisition through dilution, but since I have been in this company since it was $.02 and have made a nice profit so far, I trust Mr Nelson to continue to move this company forward. Being from Wall Street, I'm sure he is well aware why institutions are not buying in yet, and he will remedy that.
Me too
put me in for 7.9 mil
Moon....could it be insider buying? Perhaps insiders must pay a percentage above market?
So sorry for your loss Chiink. I hope knowing that the thoughts and prayers of the people on this board brings you comfort in this time of need.
News after the bell:
http://archive.fast-edgar.com//20141118/ALK2622CZ225U2Z2222Q2MZZL3DNQZZ22262/
This showed up on Schwab after the bell. It's a Form 4 from a sale on Friday for JN......notice the address change. Looks like Jim's moved into a nicer home in Vegas. Looks like a gated upscale townhouse community. Looked it up on Google maps.
So hopefully the selling is now over. As after previous sales, I would expect some great news by Thanksgiving. IMHO....GLTA
Nice sleuthing Nome! Would be good for a pilot run. I just feel that for full blown manufacturing of the cell, Singapore makes the most sense. Since we just want to collect licensing royalties, have cell manufactured near where the most panel makers reside. Of course, Solar City is building their manufacturing plant in Rochester...... Hmmmmm, that would make strange bedfellows for sure!
Hi Nome...I haven't posted in a while, but have been reading (lurking) the board on a daily basis. Since to me the cell is the most important piece of why I invested in SLTD 2 years ago, here are my thoughts.
I believe the manufacturer will be in Singapore, otherwise why would we apply for patent protection there? I also think we need a large well known manufacturer that has a good supply chain in place, since Jim has stated he wants to gain incensing revenue from the cell. I think we both agreed back in March who that manufacturer should be (Panasonic), and I still think they are the best fit.
Jim could have been in NY looking for an East Coast installation company, since expansion to the Northeast would make Solar3D a truly national installation company.
Just my thoughts, I guess we will know shortly, Stay long and strong!
Nome....you can take it to the bank.....it WILL be Panasonic in a licensing deal. Much the way Qualcomm licenses their intellectual property, they just sit back and collect royalties! Well, we can dream a little, can't we?
The Singapore patent application caught my eye also. If you read my post #5715 way back in March, I laid out why I thought Panasonic was the perfect partner for SLTD. They have a large Energy Products manufacturing plant in Singapore. This is certainly the news I've been waiting for!
Yes Chiinkwia, most people do buy beyond their means, way beyond......like me! So I really need this stock to get to $4 so I can retire and enjoy my way above my means house!
Brilliant move by JN. Got to thinking about the deal with the home builder for solar installations in 200 new homes. This is a potential HUGE market, and a great selling point for the home builder.Let's say for arguments sake the installs cost $30,000. An extra $6,000 down payment to the buyer, but at 4.25% interest over 30 years, that's only an extra $118 per month mortgage on the remaining $24,000, for FREE ENERGY FOR LIFE! With possible income on sellback to utility company!
I believe this is just the beginning of these types of deals for us. It is a selling point that more home builders will want. JMHO
I agree, still use the chart for support and resistance. I guess what I was trying to say is that in pennyland, news trumps chart.
Although, I don't put much stock (pun intended!) in analysis tools on penny stocks, as they are more news driven than chart driven.
Here's a free stock analysis tool I use:
http://www.stockta.com/cgi-bin/analysis.pl?symb=SLTD&cobrand=&mode=stock
It has SLTD as nuetral
Why don't you guys just swap and remove the middle man!
Whoever keeps buying 100 share bloacks at the ask.....THANK YOU. This is keeping us above .06, and above the .0633 open. I'd do it myself if I had any money left in my accounts
Nice informative post tp, but too late, I already bet the house! Will be throwing the garage in next week when I get some more cash.
Acc101, GREAT informative posts. This board just keeps getting better.
Here's a link that I found on SolarCitys news today. I am not pushing SolarCity or FirstSolar, what I find VERY interesting about this video by Jim Cramer is his take on the Solar Installation business. Now many here don't like (loathe, despise, hate, etc) Cramer, but keep in mind he does have a huge following. Him pushing solar can only help us. Here's the link:

50 million buildings in the US alone! A huge market that we are a part of, especially if our 3D cell gets patented and commercialized. We are in the right place at the right time!
Those selling today are short term traders who were expecting a pop after the report was issued. When it didn't pop, they bailed. This is actually healthy for a stock to cull these day traders out. There is plenty of resistance here in the .07-.075 area, and we keep bouncing off the 50 day moving average. I also see a reverse head and shoulders forming, I believe we start a slow climb from here, or at worst just a quick dip. The next piece of news WILL move us above .10 IMHO
I guess Chinkwia was right, urban legend. And yes I am schizophrenic!
Yes I've noticed quite a few. If you think about it, it should be any easy way to get people to buy shares. Pop in a trade for 911 (pending news), a few trades for 200 (Need shares desperately but don't bring price down), and a 500 share trade for good measure (gap the stock up, and I did see one of those today). Unfortunately, it didn't work as I had hoped!
