The only risk I see is in short-term price drops due to hit pieces (similar to the Nat geo one), naked shorting, any hiccups ReconAfrica may have along the way (any unsuccessful wells, broken equipment, etc.). Long-term, I view this as basically a sure thing (based off of the successful fundraising and well results so far).
Thankful I was able to add a bit more today of a stock with a realistic current value of $10 USD, for only $7.12. This will be at least $25 by end of year.
...Near term share price target increased from $7 to $10.
Finally made it to 10,000 shares!
I would say the 2nd. Consolidation for the next step up.
I would agree that CNN has a leftist tilt, but their tilt towards the left pales in comparison to the propaganda and conspiracy theories publicised by the right-leaning media currently. CNN isn't going anywhere...if you sell it under $30, I'll buy it from you ??
It's alive!
This is great. Glad to hear the continued progress on the research drilling and also the added assistance to the surrounding community with more water well being dug. This is a venture I can totally get behind!
This is going to be volatile until the results of the first 3 drillings come in (probably late March), but extremely rewarding for those that hang in there.?
Awesome!
Shorts are trying hard to bring this down this morning!...so far, the upward momentum is too strong for them. Let's keep it up.
Last quarter, they announced all of the non-common stock dividends but, instead of also announcing the common stock dividend at the same time, only announced the date (about 2 weeks later) at which they would announce for the common stock. I expected a similar scenario this quarter, but they have yet to announce any of thier preffered or common stock dividend amounts yet for the current quarter.
I don't like the delay either, but they did delay the last dividend announcement (although they let us know it would be delayed) and it was an increase ($0.02 to $0.05). My best guess for the next dividend is $0.07-$0.12 announced by or before 12/30.
I inquired last week with their investor relations representative and, though they were unable to give me details on the specific date of the next dividend announcement, they said to monitor the website news releases during the next couple of weeks (i.e. it is coming soon). Makes sense that the announcement is a bit delayed (compared to last year) this quarter with the wierd year going on...but we'll see it very soon, and I definitely believe it will be an increase.
News out today - drill is onsite and drilling has more or less begun.? Full details are on the Company website if you'd like to read all the details.
Thanks for the info and board link (before it was removed). Appreciate it!
ReconAfrica Another day of almost 7% growth. Keep it coming.
Taking advantage of these little dips to add as much as possible before the next dividend announcement.
Two straight days of 5%+ growth on nothing. Looking forward to the safe arrival of the drilling rig next week and exciting progress past that.?
...I also don't blame anyone who takes some profits and keeps their risk lower. This stock represents a relatively small portion of my portfolio and I plan on holding long in order to take advantage of the possible massive potential here.
I read that article as well and was excited when it was published since we were still under $1 at that time. The way the chart is trending, I see it getting much higher. I am reassured by the patience and adherence to process by this company. Hopefully their expertise and patience pays off in an oil hit during their exploratory drills. If that happens, I see this going past $5 very quickly.
I think this will definitely run if the exploratory drills scheduled for the end of this month are successful finds...shorter term, based on the way the chart is already behaving on slight news, we'll probably see a minor bump up just on the news that the drilling rig is delivered safely (scheduled to arrive 12/10 or 12/11).
December should be a fun month. The ship carrying the drill rig is set to arrive on 12/10-12/11 and the first two exploration drills are scheduled for late in the month...it's like our very own "Merry Christmas!"
I don't hate anyone who has the time for making swing-trades or day trades on this ticker (today would have been a great sell at open/buy at close scenario for anyone actively trading). I simply see this company as a great value/long-term investment to be taken advantage of. The Dividend as it stands is extremely respectable @ around 5% and I see it growing.
Makes business sense to me that they make use of the current high volume trading interest to add some common stocks and bolster their finances. Like I've said before, I am long-term on this. If the prices stay at this level for awhile, that is cool with me. I'll continue to build my position little by little as I am able. I have faith that the company is making the best decisions for their long-term health...and that is what I am interested in.
I do think that pps will eventually return to pre-Covid levels on this. Like I said initially, I don't think that will happen for 2-3 years though. No overnight false pump going on here.
Obviously the company restructured when Covid hit and had to use what methods they had available to meet their dividend obligation and debt obligations. No one is questioning that. What's exciting is that they are now past their bottom pps and are back on the gradual upward recovery trend. It's also really cool that, though they had to drastically decrease it temporarily, they kept the dividend and are also gradually increasing it. No one's questioning the fact that it was a tough year for Invesco. They simply are now at the beginning of a very exciting positive trend..."Useless dribble"? What on my initial post was untrue? I was using hard numbers available for anyone to see if they look them up.
$Invesco Mortgage Hope everyone enjoys their holiday...I wanted to take a second to lay out why this ticker is one of my favorites and the 2 ways in which it has extremely exciting future potential for growth...
1) Price per share (the obvious one) - these shares are currently priced at huge discounts to pre-Covid levels and the price will gradually continue to grow back towards those levels as the Company recovers it's leverage and assets. I estimate it will take 2-3 years to get back to the $15-$18 pps range, but I don't mind this as it gives me more time to invest at discount prices the small amount of monthly capital/dividend re-investment I have budgeted towards investment.
2) The Dividend - The current 5 cent (20 cent annual) payout comes in around a very respectable 5-6% (annual). If you look at the Company's historic payout for the last few year's, they paid out an annual dividend between 9-12%. This was $1.60-1.80 annual dividend per share when the price per share was between $15-18. It makes sense to me that the company will attempt to get back to around a 10% annual dividend and will therefore continue to raise the dividend as they recover...meaning, shares accumulated at the current discounts will have an exponentially higher dividend value if held through this recovery stage.
...fun stuff to think about?
Buy the dip!
I saw that as well on a Webull board.
Thankful for the consolidation day yesterday and the opportunity to add a few more. This thing is looking to climb the next step on the staircase.
This thing is looking like a racehorse bristling at the starting gate.
I couldn't say, but I believe they have been repositioning since the crash in March and thier success last quarter shows it is starting to pay off. I don't personally think that pps will hit 2019 levels for another year or so...but I do think we are starting to head that way and I'm loading up accordingly while the price is at the current discount.
Yep. Today it is breaking away from it's normal trend to go down on Tuesday's...I have a feeling that this is gaining momentum towards a prolonged up-trend and recovery.? I also feel that the dividend will continue to be increased along with the company's recovery.
Could be! I'm not as familiar with RNSFF, but I will research. It makes sense to me that a good find will benefit all stakes in the area...including a find by one of the off-shore super-majors near the same area. I know Exxon has off-shore stakes next to ReconAfrica's on-shore ones. A find by them could be huge for everyone surrounding them as well.
Simply trying to build as large a position as possible before the drilling starts in December. After that, it may be very difficult to get a good entry.?
