I feel like it is intentional for accumulation only. I do not think a buyout is imminent at all anytime soon, as per the one of the financing deals.
A buyout is nice for a quick buck, but I personally have no desire for one, for our full value will not be realized for several years and am looking forward to it.
Going to be hard to gain momentum with all this European stuff. Getting serious. I am reading many articles on this spreading across Europe and seriously infecting the banks. The union does not have the ability to cover all these ailing countries.
As long as Farhad is still committed to taking this to production I am not worried. But as long as these prices stay stagnantly low, I am leery of an undervalued takeover, however unlikely that may be.

You have the right attitude. The 'big boys' mess around by walking prices down and keeping them there while they accumulate until they decide they are done. Then we will see the beginning of our climb.
I feel like with all the news we could rise pretty quickly. I am selling another stock tomorrow to buy more here, as I never thought I would see this at these levels.
The biggest concern I have is all the fiscal policies and debt of governments the world over, led by our 'sweep it under the rug for as long as possible and maybe no one will notice' american government. Ignorance. All of these debt issues could turn out to be the straw that breaks the camels back, so to speak.
But the long term picture here looks better than ever.

It is stuff like this that keeps retailers from further investing (especially knew ones). Alot of us know to expect stuff like this, but today seemed a little overboard. It is only a reminder of who is pulling the corrupted puppet strings. They were able to drop this, trigger stop losses (IMO) in a weak market, and they will be able to buy back at a steep discount and prepare for the inevitable run up long term.
I think if you do your dd, the mid to long term story here is very favorable for some significant valuation and sp later on.
All IMHO of course. You always know by the increase in bashers, and they were on the stockhouse board today.

I would think this is a classic 'sell the news' event. MM's are going to get some cheap shares. Possible have triggered some stop losses and made it seem worse. Once the market is done being boring, I would bet big money will start moving back in. 1.3 billion is a pretty big number.
I will use this as opportunity, but I am just speaking for myself.

I like that. Wish we got more action from management, a simple update would do. Without it I think the market continues this weakness and they will continue to sell down these smaller oilers.
Opportunity I guess, but frustrating. This has so much potential, oil is at $100, but we are not valued as such. IMO
Not sure how far they can take this down, but it looks like oil goes lower, at least for awhile. Could be wrong, but seems like there is weakness everywhere right now.

I don't think Mr Market cares about fundamentals or upgrades. Mr Market just cares about what Mr Market cares about. And right now that is driving E&P's down to extreme undervalued status. Just another example of why retail investing is treated like a red headed step child.
Same here. We are really undervalued here, feel fortunate to have gotten in when I did.
I saw that. I am enjoying this action and this high volume.
Yes. Someone IS trying to sneak a 5.69 buy in there. Its not me. But I wish them luck.
Noticed that myself. Frustrating, but tomorrow should be the start of grazing on greener pastures.
Volume
Anyone know why volume is so low. Yahoo says 2000 and broker says 2000 too?
Agreed. Very solid news.
Misread. My apologies. SDCJF is another good one, kind of a sister to SSN, looking at 100+ wells this year. PETEF would be the most speculative of the group, IMO. Their business model is one strictly for buying property with the intent to sell the company. No real plans to develop. Alot of people are turned off by this, but whatever can increase shareholder value, I guess.

Bought this one myself Wednesday. Been watching it for several months wanted to make sure all the REE "bubble" talk dissipated before I bought. Feel very fortunate to catch it on the dip. The chart looks pretty good and long term the company looks good. Thats a good combination. GLTY
Dont see this going much, if any lower. The retracement is complete, now back to a Jedi-like new leg up. But I like this, nothing has changed and I can buy a big block and be very happy.

I would hope the lower CAPEX we will have will keep us from selling too soon, or at all. Lots of positives for this company compounded by all the production potential is very encouraging. I am looking forward to making lots of money with Allana.
Hopefully good stuff that will garner lots of attention from large institutional investors who will not unduly manipulate the stock and cause all of us retail investors to suffer.
Hows that?
Well then what do you think the new base will be?
Hope so. That is my thinking. Them once they get the Gulf Stuff going, use their money wisely, could be very attractive for others to see.
