It wasn't fixed. It's intermittent.
1) Really.
2) This isn't that.
3) True. You forfeited access to that feature for abusive use of it.
4) No.
5) No.
6) When I choose to.
7) See #3.
We haven't isolated it yet. It's clearly a network issue.. somewhere in a birds nest of cables and devices in various locations.
Never mind. I see it... network switch issue. Will see about getting it smacked around a bit.
Can you be more specific as to what you are experiencing? What errors?
I don’t think there’s enough AI-centric stocks to warrant it. Most of them are multiple lines of business. Nvidia, for example, is a semiconductor company. Most of them have SIC codes such as semiconductors, computer hardware and peripherals, computer software, etc.
Just haven't gotten around to moving things around. It's really 2023-present.
Possibly. The problem is that many companies in the AI sector are actually in multiple sectors. So most are in Computers - Software or some other category.
How many AI-centric companies are there that would go into that category? Know any way to identify them?
That is just someone at Apple testing a beta version of our new mobile app, which is a condition for being in their App Store. We'll leave the post(s) for now.
S-230 is favorite ball to get kicked around politically but there haven't been any changes since the disastrous FOSTA legislation was enacted.
Murthy (i.e., the Administration) was just butthurt and issued that opinion after having to defend the government's suppression of protected speech in the Supreme Court after several states and some individuals sued him and other Administration officials for 1A violations. The Court found the plaintiffs lacked standing, and remanded to the lower courts to develop a more narrow case where standing exists if they want to try and do so. The plaintiffs threw everything at the wall, and there was a lot of material to throw, but the Court understandably found that it wasn't their job to weed through all of it. It will almost certainly return to the high court eventually, especially if the government keeps up its efforts (and they will) to suppress constitutionally protected speech that they want to characterize as "misinformation" or "disinformation." To paraphrase Yogi Berra, it's 1984 all over again.
It's been awhile since I responded to a misguided missive of this nature. I couldn't resist this one.

That's only true for the quick-post editor on the board page (due to technical limitations). The full palette of emojis is available in the full editor.
I'll defer to the moderator.
So what will be discussed? How will it differ from the Q&A board?
Yeah, you're right. I forgot it's in the Premium zone. At least for now. It's open to everyone during Happy Hour on Fridays.
The invite went to five hundred and some odd (no pun intended) Premium users selected quasi-randomly based on posting frequency YTD.
But anyone can post here.
Edit: Or maybe not. It may be in the Premium zone.
Done. It was an exchange adjustment from AMEX to NYSE.
Slow your roll, folks. There was a symbol change from SONGD to SONG. The US ticker for SONG just isn't in our market data feed yet, so it's defaulting to the next available market in the feed. It'll self-correct when the new ticker propagates into the feed.
At least we are not being compared to a HOA.
No, I didn’t say that. But if you were posting from another account, you wouldn’t be in here flapping your trap.
Don't look now but your pants are on fire.
Of course you are. It’s worked out so well for you so well so many times in the past. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Our editor misinterpreted your paste as tagging users. I’ll write up a ticket for Dev support..
Because the issuer did a little ticker spamming on their wire service release.
Why is the following on the GVSI page?
We haven’t been served with that. If and when we are we will undertake a review for legal sufficiency. Or, more commonly, lack thereof.
It’s a global toggle.
Is that something that just started happening or has been happening for a while?
No. You cannot open a new account to evade administrative sanctions on another account.
Hi, can I completely close my account - not quite sure what that means - and open a new account in order to post without restrictions?
Someone posted a youtube vid without using the proper tags. Poof.
We'd need something more specific, as to what page are you going to that is slow, and how long the delay, and how often....
There is a total rewrite being done on the mobile app. It won't look at all like the current version.
The rewrite is well underway and we do multiple staff-review shakedowns every week as functions are added and tweaked. I don't think it will be very long before we ask for some users to be beta testers.
Because you didn't understand that while using the VPN you are constantly changing you public IP address when accessing the internet.
Still leaves me wondering why the one that has worked for me here for years didn't when i started getting that message
There are different kinds of blocks and they have different duration. Some blocks simply prevent account registration and posting from an IP address, but allow all other access. Other blocks are "firewalled" from accessing the site at all. That can be set at our site, or at ADVFN, or at Cloudflare, which is what you encountered.
When you use a VPN, they assign you to an exit-IP address. You don't have much if any control over that other than maybe to specify the county or region where that IP is registered. That is your public IP address at the moment. Depending on the VPN service, they may change your public IP assignment randomly, or on a schedule or on demand or on logout/login... etc. Some aggregate traffic with many users using the same IP at the same time and they sort out which traffic belongs to which user. In any event, you are sharing public IPs with others, many of whom are bad actors that cause the IP to get flagged for abuse and either blocked by sites for actual abuse or just for being on an abuse list.
VPN providers typically only hawk the benefits of using a VPN without pointing out the possible downsides.
A consequence of using a proxy. Others can use the same IP, often for nefarious purposes. When that happens they get blocked. Your recourse is to get on a different IP.
All of a sudden when on VPN (hooked to an American location) i started getting this message:
That isn’t the new name.
