Thanks for your work. It is important to me anyway and I bet to many others. I had tried to plot Zeevs forecasts but always got tangled up with his variations. I think you have done a wonderful job in figuring it all out.
You got your update, it was planned for the weekend anyway.
Please note that time always hides under the sofa and it's very hard to catch it during the week. (I might consider buying a slingtrap if you make this a pay-site <g>)
Does not look like Zeev wants to change the target forcast. Sure would like to see how actual compares to present Road Map. A service I subcribe to is calling for the market to be much lower in the next two months while Zeev is looking for highs. Picking the wrong analysis will be costly.
Hi Zeev,
Will you be re-examining the road map and perhaps updating it with the close below 1940 today?
TIA
The Maginot line is a closing line...so we still missed it (I hope we will continue and miss it) by a mile.... (g).
Approaching the maginot line certainly justifies an intraweek fill up for the chart.
Please note that the NASDAQ chart shows closing prices only, like todays close was at 1958.78 but we got as low as 1946.10 intraday which doesn't show up in the chart.
OT *** not a chance they will move, even though they could post charts here. Gottfried
Yes, we PAID for SI and don't want to pay for another forum just to read 10 or20 posts at a time.
SI is plenty fast when you view 10 or 20 posts at a time and some of us have paid for life there... so we'd be pretty pissed if we had to pay again.
wecus
Great job on the turnips charts. Thanks for the great contribution.
Thanks, it has already been featured in the 04/02 revision.

I case you missed this ... we all appreciate your work !
gottfried,
what are the chances you can convince Mr. Wennerstrom and the boys to move over to IHUB. I think the board you directed me to is an excellent one - maybe a bit of cheerleading but oh well. But, I have a major problem with SI. It is so damn slow now, I can't stand it. I think I have maybe 4 bookmarks left.
Think they'll do it?
EDIT: Doh, sorry. Thought I was posting on the trading board.
Sorry, my beautiful Eliza, not yet, right now I have other duties as you can see at http://www.javajoes.com/MrHiggins/ (pls note that obviously I'm really late delivering the promised goods)
I'm still scribbling daily maps in my little notebook, though, and maybe when the time comes...Nah, time just yelled from under the sofa that I should forget about it...
No daily map? What a shame, just you wait Mr Higgins, just you wait.... (g).....
You asked for it - you got it.
An overwhelming 84% think that the grids are helpful. I bow to the majority of the undisputed votes and will change the format right away.
Thanks to all who have expressed their opinion! As you can see, all suggestions are welcome (and might even be implemented <g>)
It looks like gridlines are exactly on the date.
I just zoomed in at 200 % and found things to be quite correct. 02/01 was a sunday and the gridline is set just between the data. Also Feb has had only 29 days and the 03/01 minor top of 2057 lies exactly on the grid. 04/01 is also displayed correctly.
If you zoom in to 400 % it seems that the grids even lie between days 31 and 01.
In any case it should be sufficient, there's no daily map. (Glad about that <g>)
Regards
Andreas
I voted YES but one problem with being too specific about dates is:
Do the gridlines mark the first of the month or just a random day in the month?
With Excel, I've not been able to figure a way to make weekly or monthly gridlines, but just approximations by date.
The verticle grids do help pinpointing, where in time, the turns occur.
I decided against colour since the chart is 'sehr bunt' already, meaning quite colorful. Colors should be used to highlight the important information so grey fits the purpose better here IMO. Actually I would format them even in a lighter grey tone, but thats where XLs capabilities are limited, only 32 default +16 user defined colors are available and I would not want to change the userdefined ones as they fit me very well in other sheets. (in my XL97 that is, the later versions do have better features there AFAIK)
In any way, the survey's outcome seems to be clear already. The grids win.
ET - Thanks for pointing out the erraneous link, trial and error made me find out that the script did not accept the string ": http:" I have replaced the ":" with a <CR> and it seems to work now.
I was going to write about my hope that people will take the survey, about the click-barrier and about how its still easier to click a button than to write whole sentences but then I decided to check before and voila - 15 people have voted and its already obvious that most prefer the gridlines.
So be it - my thanks go out to you for introducing this obvious accepted improvement.
Andreas
Wecus, , Seems like many will just post on the board their opinion instead of taking the survey. When I clicked on your link in the board header for the survey I got an error. Maybe part of the link is missing. If I just click on the normal "Survey" after the board header it works fine! I voted yes.
Thanks for your efforts...
Vertical grids look good to me but what ever is easy is fine - just keep up the good work!
wecus, I like grids and you can make them a light blue or green instead of black. [I can do this in Lotus 1-2-3, so it's probably available in Excel, too]
PS: I just tried it on a '97 version of Excel: rightclick on a grid line and 'format gridlines' appears.
Gottfried
Nice to see you on this board as well, if you like the grids pls vote for it:
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board_surveymenu.asp?board_id=2299
(this is a truly democratic thing happening here, as I will respect the outcoming of the elections <g>)
vertical lines are subtle but noticeable, seems like a good compromise. it wouldn't be the end of the world if they disappeared, but i'll give it a thumbs-up anyway.
I'm still not convinced, but then I'm always open to positive changes, so let's vote on it. Survey is open now, so be sure to vote for your POV if you want to see the grid permanently
Wecus, That looks much better to me and I don't think it is a distraction or interferance. I am no expert on graphics and have not used Ecel graphics very much at all. I don't know if it would be any benefit to you or not, but maybe worth a look. Since I am too cheap to keep my MSoffice up to date I just went and got a copy of the free OpenOffice product. It essentially has all the functionality and maybe more than MSOffice. It will read MS Excel, Word Document and Power point files as well. You might give iot a try next time you are under the couch and find some free time.<G>
Always glad to offer you some extra cheese <g>. I did not post it on the board though because IMO the chart becomes a bit overloaded by this grids. Unfortunately Excels graphic capabilities are relatively limited and I want to keep things simple.
Another reason to leave them out might be the uncertainity of timeframes, as the turnips IMO deserve their rights to be wrong, not only in vtargets but in timing as well. (You can always pick up a ruler and hold it against the monitor <g>)
Use your own judgement and tell me your preferences (Everybody else, too, of course, comments and suggestions are allways welcome) I might even start a poll and feel real important, LOL
Thanks, Zeev, for helping out while I was away.<g> (Didn't know you are even reading the msgs on this board...)
Your post gave me the idea to include references to the relevant msgs and I will implement this 'feature' in a while.
Wecus, Next time you look under the couch maybe you could add some grid lines for both axis on your chart!
Danke!
One of the few German words I remember from my High school German class! It has mostly all left me if I ever knew very much.
Zeev, Thankyou very much
I think Wecus is trying to include "all the forks" in one map (the 12/25 had a low probability fork going to 2390), but I suggest you got to #msg-2749633 and to #msg-2818812 for a refinement of the date points for that third summer peak around the beginning of September.
Only the market knows.
Swampcracker
Can someone explain the 2 red lines on the roadmap and what they represent. One has us going to 2250 at the end of August the other 2400.Which one is to be followed.TIA
Thanks for the work in laying out the chart. It's very helpful.
g
Same here. Thanks.
I am sure there are many people reading you chart and not saying anything but I wanted to be another that does say how much I appreciate your decoding and laying out Zeev's market plan.
Thanks for updating your chart!
Thanks for a great job on the charting.
Swampcracker
Corrected.
I considered it a major revision, since it came at the quarters turn and changed the map somewhat for the first time instead of updating it, but then again youre absolutely right to call it a plain revision only since you did not alter your stance.
The 1842 bottom was still there in the 'old map' chartline but I have 'misplaced' the XL cell reference in the 'current map' chartline. I have moved it in front again so its showing in red now as a part of the actual map. Looking better now I hope.
And, indeed, your call was on the button. Please note though, that 1913 and 1842 were entered as a range from the Jan. Roadmap and I have never added the 1887 for the most probable bottom as it resides inside of the range.
It's actually quite tricky to convert your figures into a still readable chart as there are so many numbers and forks. And sometimes I make sloppy mistakes, too. Therefore I always notify you of changes so you can check out if you like the picture.
Wecus, first these are far from being "major revisions, the numbers stayed almost essentially as in the 12/25 map, what changed was that on 12/25 I did not give target dates for the three step spring rally and last week, I opened the kimono on that issue. Second, any reason you raised the forecasted 3/24 bottom the range was 1887/1913 with a maginot line at 1842, you latest map has these without the 1842 old Maginot line and with the 3/24 bottom in the range of 1913 to 1940 or so. That 3/24 bottom call was on the button, price wise and time wise, thus I don't understand the change you made. I must have mentioned that range during February and March at least 15 times (search under my profile for 1887).
Notes on 04-02-04 major revision.
As you probably know the farmer has supplied new targets and timetables for the Roadmap 2004. After posting the chart first time he asked me to broaden the late August top which was done easily but took me two days to find the time - thus the differences to the last update mails (Remember to enter the list if you want to get notified of further updates)
I have also inserted the former map for comparison in a light unobstrusive turqoise, we will have to find out though if the graphic eventually becomes 'overcharted'.
Comments and wishlists are welcome and will certainly be considered.
Andreas
Sometimes I cut an paste stuff I read on board onto the board at Suite101.com but that is a free site for everyone.
I tried to keep track of Zeev's major moves here
http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/investing/86815
But he made too many changes for me to keep track of.
I think it is good to have records of what people post to go back and see how they've done, especially those with large followings.
As for Zeev himself, I like him a great deal, have great respect for his comments and have spoken to him on the phone about technology and our own inventions unrelated to message boards. (For example, I was just working on my passive solar hot tub heater before posting this....) Spring is here and it seems there is enough sun to fire up my hot tub heater!
Kirk
Kirk,
I'll be happy to notify you of further updates, but after visiting your boards I have a small concern.
I'd like to make sure that you will not be using this in any commercial way whatsoever as I don't like to work for free when others are using my output in professional life. So pls confirm by mail or msg that you will respect this condition, ok?
TIA
Andreas
BTW - I'm running here on a freebie account and I usually lurk only. This board was created only as a small way to add value to the community in return to to what I found here.
Thanks for the charts!
Please post a message here when you update it so it shows as a new message waiting on my favorites list.
Kirk
Boy, I like that!
I saw the first one, but didn't realize you'd created a board and updated the chart. A friend pointed it out to me. I'll mention it on the ZEEV'S IDEAS BOARD (#board-1351) the next time I update it (probably over the weekend).
Thanks,
Fred
Thanks for posting the chart. It will be interesting to see the actual progression of the market vs. the road map. Either way it goes, it can only help us better understand TA and fine tune the system. Or, it could just end up a total wash.
