I would say it is an error. Sometimes info from similarly named companies do get crossed up. I assure you this POS is not making any $. http://www.firerivergold.com/s/Home.asp
Hello. Then why does it say on yahoo finance that they have a eps of 0.08 and p/e of 0.05?
Does this not suggest that they are in profit? Please excuse me for my ignorance.
This company has never made a profit and most probably never will. They lost their property to foreclosure.
why does it say on yahoo finance that this company is making an EPS has a P/E??? Is this false? If not does it suggest that this company is making a profit?????

Fire River Receives Default Notice
VANCOUVER, Oct. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Fire River Gold Corp. (TSXV: FAU), (OTCQX: FVGCF), (FSE: FWR) (the "Company" or "Fire River") announced today that is has been unsuccessful in renegotiating the terms of its Senior Secured Gold Stream Credit Agreement (the "Credit Facility") with Waterton Global Value, L.P. ("Lender") and has received demand for payment from the Lender.
The Lender has also notified the Company of its intention to enforce the security granted to the Lender pursuant to the Credit Facility and of its intention to take the Company's shares in its wholly owned subsidiary, Mystery Creek Resources Inc., in satisfaction of the Company's indebtedness to the Lender in accordance with its rights under the British Columbia Personal Property Security Act. The result of such realization process by the Lender would be the loss of substantially all of the Company's assets. The Company knows of no reason that the Lender's realization process will not complete as proposed.
Prior to the demand for payment, the Board of Directors of the Company engaged in significant efforts to find additional sources of financing for the Company. Ultimately, however, the Company was unable to find additional financing, primarily due to the current difficult market conditions.

Sure glad I dumped Fire River when I did. Somebody else (that has a clue) may pick up this property from Waterton and do something with it.

Pebble is not likely to happen before a change in our Federal Administration IMHO.
ha - if Pebble ever finds its way through the environmental/species protection swamp it has been stuck in
Even if this Fire River shutters Alaska gold mine, there is a much more enlightening project is going on like copper-gold mining project "pebble" in Alaska. Here is some updated information about this project PEBBLE.
Hardly worth noting the "big gain" with a total of a little more than $600.00 in volume.

Fire River Misses Payment to Lender
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=58785804
I will have to wait until I get home to check my mail. No access from here.
My posts seem to rub a number of people wrong, as bashing, whereas I just attempt to get at the bare and truthful bottom line of things. I understood where you were coming from, but I had already changed from a believer to a little past being a new skeptic on the FAU stoy by then.
PS check your email
You were right all along. I was naturally defensive at the time, with not knowing you.
Yep. You did confront about my initial negative posts a little, but it didn't take too many company missteps beyond that. I still wonder as to what is the reality on the water table and water discharge permit issues, but at this point it is mainly academic curiosity.
I see that the illustrious, and sometimes ill-bespoken, founder (and last time I checked still major share/option/warrant holder of FAU) has not had all that much luck with his other venture, Pacific North West Capital (PFN) but has managed to plug along, partly closing a placement in July at 0.05 for half-warrant flow-thru shares. I guess that is what the scent of PGM can do.
As for FAU imo it is all over except for Sprott and whomever else to fight it out over control of the assets, but who knows, history shows some amazing resurrections have happened.
Wow, am I glad I finally saw through this POS and got out when I did.
musical chairs when the music stops
Thanks. I knew FAU was on a July '13 death-march, but just didn't remember start or end of month.
Close. "Under the terms of the Amending Agreement, Waterton has agreed to an extension of the first repayment date from December 31, 2012 to July 31, 2013." http://www.firerivergold.com/i/pdf/FAU070113.pdf
IMHO this was a case of very poor management of a very good asset.
That millions of debt payment I was trying to recall must have July 1 due date . . .

Gharma, that post that disappeared was mine. Posted on this board by mistake. I also am surprised this one is not sub-penny YET.
Wasn't there a large debt instrument due to be paid off about now (June or I think it was July) ? It has been pretty quiet here (and from the company) so I was surprised to see a new post (even though it was gone before I could catch it), almost as surprised as I am to see FAU is still not sub-penny.
Looks like share price is holding up pretty well, all things considered
I am just checking in to see if anything is happening with FVGCF.
Hmmmm? What happened? Capital cost of $6.3M? 3 month payback? LOL
Capital costs to resume production are estimated to be $6.3 million with a projected payback of 3 months. Operating costs are estimated at $434/ton or $447/oounce for the first two years of operations. At a gold price of $1200 per ounce gold, the project delivers an internal rate of return of 549% and net present value of $60.9 million on an undiscounted cash flow of $64.3 million over the first two operating years.

Wow, looks like somebody is performing CPR on this one. $750.00 worth of shares to take it up 70+%. LOL
ha, blast from the past, as is said.
Now if only Harry Barr was still at the helm we would possibly still be able to read such glowing projections and slick sounding reports on what has not been delivered due to factors beyond all humanly possible control.
Anybody remember this? http://www.firerivergold.com/i/pdf/021711FAU.pdf Lol, what a joke this POS has turned out to be. I am glad they lied to me when they did. They opened my eyes and saved me a lot of money.
Sure looks like that to me. They have mangled the company to the point that I dont believe it is sell able (unless some of the agreements are amended)
Rather sounds as if they are politely saying that they are close to default on their indebtedness.
Fire River Gold Provides Operations Update
http://www.firerivergold.com/s/NewsReleases.asp?ReportID=578299&_Type=News-Releases&_Title=Fire-River-Gold-Provides-Operations-Update
Wow that was some huge volume to move this up 35.02%. A whole $175.00 LMFAO
Who in the world would buy 100 shares of this for a total of 4.?? The commission would be more than the share cost. Comical.
Lol, they have pretty much destroyed this company.
I am glad to see someone else reviewed the financial report. After I had done so I posted asking is anyone noticed where any revenue was reported. Granted, I only did a quick review, but at the end I was scratching my head that I had not seen numbers for income.
2012 Year Financials AMUSING
Assets increased by approximately 1M
Liabilities increased by approximately 18M
Shares increased by approximately 217M
And on top of all that they have been using loan sharks for financing
http://www.firerivergold.com/i/pdf/FAU042312.pdf
“The Credit Facility may be repaid, at Waterton’s
option,
in either cash or ounces of gold at 78% of the then prevailing gold price.”
Wow that looks like a winning recipe? NOT
Fire River Gold provides operations update
They still have a long way to go to pull this one out of the fire.

Fire River Gold Corp. is Alaska's newest gold producer, with a projected 50,000 ounces per year of gold to be produced on its wholly owned Nixon Fork Gold Mine located in the resource rich Tintina Gold Belt.
Operations started in July 2011, with a near term production target of 30,000 oz/Au by end of year 2012, projecting an increase to 40,000 oz/Au per year in 2013, ramping up to a projected 50,000 ounces in 2014. This year-round mine program is producing both concentrate and doré bars. Fire River Gold is anticipating it will be replenishing what is mined on an annual basis by further drilling exploration targets on surface and underground.
The Company has a stable platform for growth due to its talented and knowledgeable management team and Board of Directors who have the experience to execute on Fire River Gold's strategy.
The Nixon Fork Mine is a past producing mine with a high grade production history, and a low capital requirement due to pre-existing infrastructure. The Nixon Fork Mine is operated by Mystery Creek Resources, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fire River Gold Corp. which is based in Anchorage, Alaska.
