Jack Smith has admitted to violating the same law used against J6 defendants
By Andrea Widburg
Special Prosecutor Jack Smith has just admitted that he and other DOJ and FBI minions manipulated documentary evidence underlying the Mar-a-Lago case against Donald Trump. Everybody from Judge Aileen Cannon on down realizes this is bad. Still, I wonder how many people have noticed that Smith has admitted to doing what the J6 defendants are accused and have been convicted of doing: Violating 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(2). The statutory charges against the J6 defendants are a specious abuse of the law but they perfectly fit Smith’s admitted conduct.
One of the main tools in the DOJ arsenal against anyone near the Capitol on January 6, 2021, is § 1512(c)(2), which the DOJ claims means imprisonment for a person who “corruptly...obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding...” That is what the DOJ claims happened when ordinary Americans (a) exercised their rights of free speech and (b) usually inadvertently, entered onto Capitol land after masked agitators had removed “no trespassing” signage and fencing and after the Capitol police had opened the building’s doors. The penalty is fines and/or imprisonment, with the latter potentially as long as 20 years.
The Supreme Court, though, is hearing Fischer v. United States, which sees one of the DOJ’s victims contesting the DOJ’s assertion about § 1512(c)(2)’s applicability to the J6. The argument is that § 1512(c)(2) manifestly applies to a very narrow fact set; namely, corruptly interfering with evidence in an official investigation. Heck, it’s in the statute’s title: “Tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.” Every section of the statute manifestly deals solely with efforts to destroy or otherwise manipulate evidence in a matter intended to lead to a criminal indictment.
Nevertheless, to imprison ordinary Americans, the DOJ came down hard on subsection (c)(2) of the statute because it contains the phrase “official proceeding.”
(c) Whoever corruptly—
[snip]
(2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,
shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.
But while the DOJ is focusing everyone’s attention on subsection (2), they’re ignoring subsection (1):
(c) Whoever corruptly—
(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding...
Does that remind you of anything? It certainly does me.
It reminds me of Smith’s admission to Judge Aileen Cannon about his and his minions’ handling of the documents seized from Mar-a-Lago, documents that then served as the basis for his decision to indict Donald Trump. (Ignore, for now, the fact that Trump, as president of the United States, had plenary power to do as he would with national security information, unhindered either by prior Executive Orders, administrative regulations, or legislation. But back to Smith’s admission:
Prosecutors admitted in a court filing on Friday that “there are some boxes where the order of items within that box is not the same as in the associated scans.” The prosecutors had previously told the court that the documents were “in their original, intact form as seized.”
As any litigator knows, maintaining documents in the order in which they’re seized or produced is enormously important. That’s because order itself provides important information about the chronology of events or a person’s intent or innocence. It’s also of particular concern in this case because these documents were apparently packed by the General Services Administration, which then told Trump to pick them up.
In addition, it’s now beyond question that the DOJ doctored the crime scene photos it publicized to the world to “prove” that Donald Trump had allegedly violated national security laws. (See my disclaimer above about Trump’s immunity from such a claim.)
Thus, we have two known instances in which the DOJ altered records, documents, and objects. Moreover, the staged Mar-a-Lago photo indicates that this was done to harm President Trump. That strongly implies both corruption and intention, two elements of a criminal cause of action.
When/if Trump returns to the White House, he needs to have his DOJ investigate the lead-up to how Smith and his minions altered and manipulated those documents. And if there’s reasonable evidence that they did so corruptly and intentionally, they must be prosecuted to the full extent of the actual laws, as written (as opposed to the Democrats’ “make it up as we go along” version of “law”). Our nation cannot survive with a partisan DOJ that is willing to violate the nation’s laws to destroy its perceived political opponents.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. challenges Donald Trump to debate at Libertarian Convention
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has challenged Donald Trump to a head-to-head debate for when both address a Libertarian convention later this month, a move that comes as the presumptive GOP nominee has ramped up both criticism of Kennedy’s independent bid and demands that President Joe Biden meet him on a debate stage.
Arguing that he is “drawing a lot of voters from your former supporters,” Kennedy said to Trump in an open letter posted Tuesday to X that the Libertarian convention provides “perfect neutral territory for you and me to have a debate where you can defend your record for your wavering supporters.”
Trump has been bullish in calling on Biden to debate him ahead of the November general election but has shied away from other rivals’ previous debate entreaties. Trump skipped the 2024 GOP primary debates, saying it was unnecessary because voters know him and his record.

New report finds that mass migration did not actually stimulate the economy as the left claimed it would do
By Olivia Murray
As a Breitbart New item described it, there’s been a “narrative collapse” on the left, because the open borders mass migration scheme embraced by the globalist politicians in the West “has not actually stimulated the economy” as they promised, and has also been found to be “a major drag on public services and the housing sector.”
No kidding?
Here are the details, from journalist Kurt Zindulka:
While globalist advocates of mass migration argue that it increases tax revenues and lifts overall GDP, thereby giving governments talking points, on an individual basis there is a different story.
According to data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), while the United Kingdom’s GDP grew by 0.1 per cent last year — amid record levels of immigration — GDP per person fell by 0.8 per cent, drastically behind the G7 average of 1.2 per cent, despite the UK seeing the second-highest level of population growth, which has largely been driven by mass migration, The Telegraph reports.
The CPS report remarked: ‘If large-scale migration of the sort we’ve seen is really so great for the economy, we have to ask ourselves why we are not seeing this in the GDP per capita data’.
So, you mean to tell me that importing millions of people from failed cultures with no real job skills and no desire or compulsion to function in a modern Western world, doesn’t really bring a whole lot of economic benefit to the people of the host nation? And when these migrants land in the West, they turn out to be a massive drain on taxpayer-funded services, and stress out the housing sector? Weird, because that’s exactly what we conservatives have been saying this whole time.
Here’s this, from just the other day:
President Joe Biden’s migration crisis raises the mortgage rates that burden young couples and families, according to the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
‘While the long-run effect of increased immigration on inflation is unclear, immigrants nonetheless need a place to live, and their arrival in the U.S. has likely also increased demand for housing,’ said Neel Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, said on May 7.
The home nations of these migrants aren’t, as President Trump once crudely (but aptly!) put it, “s–thole countries” because they’re just unlucky plots of land, they’re “s–thole countries” because of the culture and values (or lack of) of the people who inhabit them. Like I noted last week, there is no “magic soil” because nations are simply a “reflection” of those who live there.
And, modern “money theory” is all such a joke, because you never needed an economics degree or some advanced education to exercise a command of the obvious.
For a migrant to be an economic net positive in his host nation, that means he would be paying more into the system than he is taking out—yet, how many of the tens of millions of new migrants to the West are in this camp? Do they maintain honest private sector employment, or work under the table? Or, not work at all? Do they buy their own groceries, or are they on food stamps? Do they pay their own rents/mortgage, or do they receive housing vouchers, live “free” in hotel rooms, and get priority for rent-controlled spaces? Do they pay their own healthcare and education costs or enroll in Medicaid and throw their kids in public school? Do they pay taxes for the roads on which they drive and the emergency services they disproportionately use, or keep the cash they earn?
The impact of non-contributing people on a developed nation was always a no-brainer.
(It’s like when Javier Milei won the Argentianian presidency, and the naysayers scoffed at whether his economic policies would yield bankruptcy or prosperity—again, this was a given, because if you cut waste and eliminate welfare handouts, there’s going to be a lot more money rolling around.)
The “forgive-me-I’m-just-a-stupid-politician” excuse just doesn’t hold water anymore—this is an orchestrated invasion to intentionally topple the West—and it’s time we collapse the narrative that our electeds are just well-meaning idiots, too.

Joe Biden says economy's great because Americans 'have the money to spend' on inflated prices of goods
By Monica Showalter
Joe Biden is finally out campaigning, and despite reports that he's dropped the term 'Bidenomics,' as a selling point with voters, still says the economy is doing great because Americans 'have the money to spend.'
Naturally, he gave an interview with CNN:
YOUR REACTION: CNN to Biden, "Grocery prices are up 30%+ ... that's a real day-to-day pain that people feel." Biden responds, "They have the money to spend." WATCH pic.twitter.com/h51mRuPzIA
— Simon Ateba (@simonateba) May 9, 2024
According to the Daily Mail:
President Joe Biden stubbornly refused to admit Americans' struggles with inflation might cost him the election in a rare interview Wednesday.
...
Biden, who was in Wisconsin to tout his record on the economy and to announce an investment by Microsoft to build a factory, defended his handling of inflation.
Polls show voters are nervous and critical of Biden's handling of the economy and anchor Erin Burnett reminded him that grocery prices are up 30 percent.
But Biden, in his interview with CNN, claimed the polls are wrong and Americans struggling with inflation have more cash in their pockets, saying: 'They have the money to spend.'
Was he mixing up the voters with himself? We all know he has more money to spend, just ask Burisma or the Chicoms who hand it to his family business.
Or was he just gaslighting the public into another solar system?
The idea that Americans have money to spend is nonsense all by itself, given the rise in grocery, gasoline, housing, consumer, medical, education and other goods they have no choice but to buy.
But even if they did have all that extra money to spend that he claims, does he really think that American like spending their extra cash on inflated prices of goods and services? Might they like to spend it on something else?
Here are the hard statistics:
Wages are down nearly 3% since he took office, while prices of groceries alone have gone up 30%.
According to Fox Business in an April 9 report:
The country's inflation-adjusted, or "real" average hourly wage, as of February 2024 is $11.11 per hour, a decrease of 29 cents from $11.40 in Jan. 2021, or minus 2.54%.
The first three months of Biden's term saw wages grow faster than inflation. But beginning in April 2021, American workers experienced 25 consecutive months of negative real wage growth, averaging -2.0%.
As for credit cards, well, one third of Americans are maxxing those out bigtime.
According to a report in Forbes, dated April 18, also citing Fox Business:
The increase in credit card debt signals that many Americans are struggling to pay for basic needs. Roughly 45% of Americans said that inflation and rising prices are why they've relied so heavily on credit cards, the Debt.com survey said. Nearly 9% of all respondents said they got a credit card to pay for a financial emergency. Moreover, 35% of Americans said they have maxed out their credit cards in recent years. Of those who had maxed out their credit cards, 85% said they were pushed to use their cards to the limit because of price increases from inflation. Approximately 22% of Americans said they now owe between $10,000 to $20,000 in credit card debt, and 5% have more than $30,000. [Fox Business]
How about those who've already maxxed their cards out, what do they do? Next stop, raids on 401(k)s for retirement. What do they look like under Bidenomics?
According to Investopedia, citing one major 401(k) provider:
As inflation and high interest rates pressure household budgets, more people are using their retirement plans as a kind of self-funded safety net, according to a new report.
Out of people with 401ks through Vanguard, 3.6% took “hardship withdrawals” in 2023, up from 2.8% in 2022, the financial company said in a report Monday. That was the highest level in at least the 19 years Vanguard has been keeping track.1
Does that sound like people who 'have the money to spend' as Joe Biden claims, proud of his 'accomplishments' on the economy?
Not to any American who has to live in his crappy economy. The man is profoundly out of touch with voters.
Here's the second half of his out-of-touch baloney, from the Daily Mail:
He blamed 'greedy corporations' for consumers' lack of confidence.
Would those be the same greedy corporations that donate to Democrats? Most corporate donations go that way. Maybe his Democrats can give back all those corporate donations so that corporations can restore prices to what they were?
Something tells me that's not something Joe's gonna propose.
But more to the point, the fundamental problem creating inflation is that Biden has expanded the size and scope of government to unsustainable levels. Inflation, as economist Milton Friedman has said, is "always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon." It doesn't come from oil. It doesn't come from egg farms. It doesn't come from corporate "greed" when companies are forced to raise their prices. It comes from Biden's compulsive spending. The national debt is growing by $1 trillion every three months, and interest payments from all that borrowing and money printing it takes to borrow now exceed defense expenditures.
That's money for nothing, money to service the debt, money that could go to something productive but not with the Biden ball-and-chain of unchecked spending and gaslighting going on in the economy. That's where inflation comes from, not from candy-bar sizes, but from monster money-printing going in an economy that doesn't produce enough growth to cover it.
He's shut the economy down, but kept the money printing, and taken America down the road to Argentina. Yet still he blames gas station owners and "greedy" corporations instead of himself for his own spendathons that fuel the inflation Americans must pay for. Then he says Americans have more money to spend. Note also that wealth is created by savings, not spending, something Biden, based on what he taught Hunter, wouldn't have the first clue about.
If this isn't economic idiocy of the most embarrassing sort, coming from the so-called leader of the free world, what is? One can only hope that Republicans are watching and can use this out-of-touch-old fool's campaign statements to the public in their own campaign ads instead.

What’s Katherine hiding from?
By Silvio Canto, Jr.
The N in NPR stands for National. I guess that Katherine Maher, CEO, does not know that because the leftist lady boss is avoiding a date with the “National” Congress. It would be like a corporate CEO avoiding a meeting with the shareholders who own a portion of the company. In the case of NPR, it’s the Congress that votes for the funding that keeps the network going. They have a duty to ask questions and Miss Maher has a responsibility to answer them. I think that they call it oversight.
This is the story:
Where the heck is Katherine Maher?
The NPR CEO has not made a single public appearance since April 9, when The Free Press published a bombshell exposé by Uri Berliner, a 25-year veteran at the network, alleging ideological bias at the institution.
Even today, when Maher was summoned by Congress to give testimony about whether NPR’s news reporting was ‘fair and objective,’ she was a no-show.
Her excuse? The night before the hearing, she announced she could not attend because of. . . a previously scheduled board meeting.
Instead, Maher submitted written testimony drafted in the prose style of brand management consultants. According to Maher, NPR is ‘bringing trusted, reliable, independent news and information of the highest editorial standards’ to tens of millions of listeners.
Dear Katherine: Some of us don’t think that you are bringing trusted and reliable news. It’s hard to do by just listening to your radio network obsessed with race, gender, and woke ideology. Many of us did not need that memo from Uri Berliner to reach the conclusion that NPR had gone off the rails a while back.
So get your act together and walk to Congress for a little chat with the people who will vote to fund your network. Don’t be surprised if many of them vote to defund you and compete in the real world with other stations.

Hamas Declares That It Will Make No Further Concessions ...
By John F. Di Leo
Reuters reports that “Hamas says it will not compromise further with Israel to win Gaza ceasefire.”
It’s just another headline about the heirs of Yassir Arafat; we know better than to take the statement seriously. Hamas will keep talking as long as they can, for obvious reasons.
The people engaged in negotiations, at least, if not their foot-soldiers, are safe while they’re at the negotiating table.
But there’s a different question that ought to be inspired by that quote: Why is any kind of compromise even an issue?
In a normal war, between two legitimate governments, one hopes for negotiations, discussions, compromises, whatever it takes to bring an end to hostilities.
This is not a normal war.
Israel has a legitimate government, and Hamas is a crime gang full of the most brutal of homicidal maniacs. This isn’t so much a war as it is a police action; Israel finally has the political will and the public support to wipe out a powerful criminal gang that has spent 35 years attacking and terrorizing Israeli citizens.
What does Hamas say, every time they return to the table? That they want Israel to stop shooting at them and give them lots of money and resources, which everyone knows Hamas will then use to make more rockets to shoot into Israel.
It’s what Hamas does. It’s what Hamas always does. It’s Hamas’s raison d'être.
Think for a moment about the most horrific crimes you can think of in American history.
Richard Speck was a violent drunkard and robber, who went on a crime spree, stabbing, raping and murdering at least eight innocent, defenseless women in 1966.
John Gacy was a child molester, rapist and Chicago Democrat party political activist who went on a crime spree, raping and murdering over thirty young men over a period of several years in the early 1970s.
Charles Manson was an arsonist, robber, pimp and drug abuser who organized a drug-driven death cult and engineered a notorious murder spree of at least seven people in August 1969.
How would the American press react if the police were working on finding and catching these criminals, and the criminals released statements to the press saying that they’ve already compromised as much as they’re going to, and the police are just going to have stop being so demanding? How would we, the American public, react if they haughtily insisted on an end to the pursuit once their hideouts were identified? Would we be open to the idea of leaving them alone, and setting them free, once we finally had these killers surrounded?
Of course not. The very concept is outrageous. Once you have identified vicious mass murderers, and pursued them to their lairs, you finish the job. There’s no question here. But the way the mainstream press reports the stories, we forget what’s really going on.
Please note: this is not about ethnicity at all. It’s not a blanket judgment of the people of the Gaza Strip, many of whom are just as terrorized by Hamas as the Jews, Christians, and Arabs of Haifa, Ashdod and Tel Aviv are. The innocent Arab population of the Gaza Strip – those who do not support Hamas – are victims of Hamas as well, and they deserve freedom from their local tyrants, too.
This is a judgment of Hamas, a huge, malevolent crime gang that has been documented – in fact, they have proudly documented themselves – committing the most ghastly of crimes, at least equal to the ones committed by the American mass murderers named above.
Both the Western press and the American Democrat party insist on treating Hamas as if they are a legitimate government in a normal war. They are anything but.
The Gaza Strip is not an independent nation, and Hamas is neither a legitimate government nor a legitimate army.
On October 7, Hamas partisans charged through the wall separating Gaza from an area of kibbutzes, and they started rampaging, attacking the innocent residents of the farmhouses in these undefended, communal farms, and the equally innocent revelers at a music festival.
Within hours, 1,140 innocents had been murdered, many of them raped and tortured first, not by one or two fringe outliers of the invaders, but by many of them – too many for these crimes to be considered an exception to the rule.
These Hamas terrorists burned people and places. They destroyed property. They raped children, adults, and seniors, both men and women, before torturing and killing them.
The press denied these extremes at first; saying there was no evidence.
But there is tape.
It turned out that Hamas militants, proud of their handiwork, high on their abuse of defenseless Jews, giddily filmed their war crimes, and shared the film with their cheering crowds back home.
And then those tapes got out into the world.
Even the New York Times had to admit it. Even the United Nations had to certify it. Even the most antisemitic, corrupt world bodies had to admit the truth, that the Hamas attacks on October 7 weren’t just quick, indiscriminate attacks, but personalized, dedicated, malevolent attacks including sexual brutality often too grotesque to write about.
No, it is no exaggeration to compare the Hamas attackers of October 7 with Speck and Gacy, or other monstrous criminals of old. Speck used knives to kill; Gacy used his hands, Hamas used motorcycles, knives and guns. There aren’t that many other differences.
But what of Charles Manson? He didn’t even commit the crimes himself. Where does he fit in this analogy?
Manson just stayed back at the headquarters and directed his “family’s” actions, keeping his own hands clean. He taught his followers to kill, gave the orders, and stayed home.
Not unlike the political leaders of Hamas.
Hundreds of miles away from the fray, the Hamas bosses sit at a comfortable negotiating table, talking with Egyptian and Qatari mediators, who then try to convince Israel to give these criminals a break, to stop the pursuit and let them live to fight another day.
What’s the difference between the crime boss who orders the hit from the corner booth at a fine restaurant, and the hit man who carries out the contract? Under US law, at least, we recognize that both are guilty.
And so it is in the Middle East today, as we are encouraged to negotiate with mass murderers who have spent their entire lives using their own people as pawns in a genocidal quest to seize the nation of Israel and wipe out its current inhabitants, “from the River to the Sea.” (Yes, that’s exactly what it means.)
Hamas is not a legitimate government. Their forces are not uniformed; they don’t subscribe to the Geneva Conventions. Hamas, which spent virtually every day of the 35 years since their founding in planning for the eventual destruction of Israel, merits none of the courtesies we give to real governments in peace talks. In fact, it is an insult to all the legitimate governments of the world, to grant the same status to Hamas.
So, how should we respond to the leaders of Hamas, when they insist on undeserved concessions?
Exactly the same way we would respond if the request came from Speck, Gacy or Manson.
Hamas tortured, maimed, raped and killed 1140 innocents on Oct. 7, 2023 alone.
The only difference between them is scale.

This Week in Open Borders America: Migrants in Denver Deliver Demands
The GOP wants transparency on number of illegals in the country – and more.
by Kelli Ballard | May 10, 2024
Migrants Give List of Demands
The City of Denver is struggling to house illegal migrants, and not just for lack of shelters. A group of immigrants set up camp on property owned by Union Pacific, the railroad company, and refused to leave and go to a shelter unless the city met their demands.
Topping the list is the ability to cook their own food with fresh, appropriate ingredients provided by the city instead of the premade meals given to all. They’re already receiving rice, chicken, flour, oil, tomatoes, onions, butter, and more – but there have been a lot of complaints that food has been spoiled and that children are malnourished.
Here are some of the other demands from the migrants that were shared with FOX31:
They want shower facilities available without time limits. Yet shelters are overrun, and water is not free. The migrants also require regular medical visits with connections for specialty care as needed. The demands continued, with free immigration lawyers and ongoing legal support for immigration document clinics, no 24/7 monitoring, and a meeting with the mayor and those involved in running the Newcomer program ASAP to discuss further improvements and ways to support migrants.
On May 8, a tentative agreement was reached after the city offered the campers 30 days of shelter – previously, the offer was just three days, which had been extended to seven.
Republicans Want True Number of Illegal Immigrants in the Country
Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) led a group of 17 Republicans to call on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to provide “the total number of illegal aliens currently residing within the United States,” The Center Square reported. In addition, they wanted information on how many migrants were released into the interior, who received Notice to Report documents, how many were deported, the number of undocumented who were ordered to be removed by an immigration judge but still remained in the US, how many were ordered to be removed because they didn’t show up to their court hearings, and the number of immigrants who are considered fugitives by ICE.
New Banner - This Week in Open Borders AmericaThis request came a week after the Biden administration’s secret airport list for migrants was revealed, which showed more than 400,000 aliens have been transported into the US by skipping the border ports.
“The American people deserve an exact accounting of the number of illegal aliens residing in the country,” the letter to Mayorkas states, “especially if the federal government’s policies have caused that number to surge since the previous estimate.”
Immigration in the Polls
An Axios Vibes survey by The Harris Poll examined how the younger generation, especially young Republicans, view immigration compared to their older party comrades. Not surprisingly, Gen Z is more moderate than Gen X and the Baby Boomers, but they still feel illegal immigration is a problem in the US.
Less than half of the younger Republicans said they want mass deportations or to close down the border. Just 33% of this age group “strongly” agreed that illegal immigration is unfair to those who came to the US legally compared to 70% of the older generations.
When asked if the US should make legal entry easier for anyone seeking a better life, 61% of the Gen Z Republican population said yes while 45% of Gen X and Baby Boomers agreed. Would they support ending automatic citizenship for children born in the US? Forty-nine percent of young Republicans would, compared to 34% of older party members. “The Trump-led GOP has embraced a hardline stance on immigration, but younger party members are more skeptical of the GOP’s political narratives on the subject,” the survey explained.
Notable Quotes
The Biden administration is proposing a new rule to speed up asylum claims for some migrants while trying to crack down on border crossings by marking migrants with criminal records as ineligible for asylum in the US. In a letter, Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) said:
“We need to make sure that we are adjudicating those who are coming across just as quickly as possible, specifically around sort of administrative judges being down at the southern border. And I do think there’s a limit to the number of people who we can accept into our nation on an asylum claim. At the end of the day, we cannot have a border where an unlimited amount of people can simply cross.”

Bracing for a Biden Impeachment over Israel Games
Does Democrat precedent lay the foundation?
by Mark Angelides | May 10, 2024
An attempt to impeach President Joe Biden is on the table after the commander-in-chief vowed to hold back weapons that would help Israel in its push to remove Hamas from Rafah. Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) announced Thursday, May 9, that articles of impeachment are being prepared over Biden’s decision to withhold military aid for what he alleges are political purposes.
“These are the same accusations made against President Trump, which resulted in his impeachment by Democrats. The same must happen for Joe Biden, which is why we’re drawing up articles of impeachment now,” Mills said. And while there are no doubt significant differences in the actions of the current and former presidents, Democrats set a precedent when they impeached Donald Trump over his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which they may come to regret.
Impeachment or Bust
Mills is not alone in his impeachment quest. Posting on X, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) wrote: “The House has no choice but to impeach Biden based on the Trump-Ukraine precedent of withholding foreign aid to help with reelection… Only with Biden, it’s true.”
Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) expanded the theme, saying:
“Given Democrats’ Trump-Ukraine precedent, President Biden’s decision to withhold lethal aid to our ally, Israel, for political gain is undoubtedly an impeachable offense. Clearly, the nefarious motive behind our commander in chief’s move to condition U.S. aid to Israel is to appease radical leftists and Hamas sympathizers ahead of the 2024 election… The House must immediately open an impeachment inquiry due to the president’s disastrous decision to play politics with national security.”
Indiana Representative Jim Banks – who is still involved in his impeachment investigation into the Biden family influence scheme – pointed out that this was only made possible by actions taken against the former president. “The Democrats made their bed, and now they’re [lying] in it,” he argued. “This is just the latest on a long list of reasons to impeach Biden, including the deadline withdrawal in Afghanistan and allowing more than 9 million illegal immigrants to invade our southern border.”
The Democrat Narrative
Naturally, Democrats and their media advocates are involved in a full-court press to explain why Biden’s decision to withdraw aid that has been committed by the US House of Representatives was not only not political, but also a smart move.
White House National Security Adviser John Kirby set out the administration’s position, saying, “The president and his team have been clear for several weeks that we do not support a major ground operation in Rafah, where more than a million people are sheltering with nowhere safe to go.” He continued:
“We propose alternative methods of defeating Hamas that do not involve a major ground operation in Rafah. Those conversations with the Israeli government are ongoing. The president said [May 8] that if Israel in fact proceeds with a major ground operation in Rafah, he will not provide certain categories of weapons to support such an operation. The Israeli government has understood this for some time now.”
Kirby then took the narrative one step further, arguing that an attack on Rafah by the Israeli military would only be of benefit to the Hamas terrorists: “Any kind of major Rafah ground operation would actually strengthen Hamas’s hands at the negotiating table, not Israel’s. That’s our view.”
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller echoed Kirby’s position, arguing an assault on the region would “actually weaken … Israel’s security.”
But where would such a narrative be without the Fourth Estate to bolster it?
Former White House Press Secretary turned news host Jen Psaki argued on CBS that Biden should have stopped military aid even sooner. She told host Stephen Colbert, “I do think that there’s some leverage we’re all seeing being used. Should it have been used earlier? I think the answer is yes to that.”
Politics Is in the Eye of the Beholder
President Joe Biden is struggling in the polls; his approval ratings remain at a low ebb – with little sign of an improving flow – and attacks on his presidency are now coming from the left rather than just the right. The campus protests, the far-left progressives who claim the retaliation against Hamas is akin to genocide, and a significant chunk of traditionally Democrat-voting Muslim and Arab Americans are coming together to create an electoral danger zone for the incumbent.
If Joe Biden thought that chasing down Hamas was a bad idea, why would he have pushed so stridently for the aid package in the first place? That and other questions will need to be answered before Election Day. And if the impetus for impeachment increases, he may have to answer them a whole lot sooner.

GOP Targets Non-Citizen Voting, While Dems Say It Isn’t an Issue
It’s a battle of the narratives – and they can’t both be true.
by James Fite | May 10, 2024 |
Republicans are pushing election security again, and as usual, the response from the left is to accuse the GOP of making up a problem to suppress the vote. A bill recently introduced to Congress targets non-citizen voting by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration.
But non-citizen voting isn’t really happening, according to Democrats and the left-wing press, though one might wonder, if that’s the case, why they oppose any citizenship verification. Is this just a case of Republican politicians hoping to drum up support ahead of the election – or, worse, are they really trying to suppress the minority vote as progressives allege? Or are the Democrats hoping to gaslight America and rack up some illegal votes? It’s a battle of the narratives, and they can’t both be true.
Voting and the Law
Federal law forbids non-citizens from voting in national elections. That’s already the law, as Democrats often point out when conservatives bring up the issue. The question, however, is whether it’s the law in any meaningful sort of way. Consider a similar question on another issue: It has been a crime for felons to buy firearms since the Gun Control Act of 1969 – but there wasn’t really a way to stop a criminal who didn’t mind lying about it from doing so until the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS, was created in 1998. Progressives don’t argue for the removal of this roadblock to criminals arming themselves, nor do they seem particularly enthused to remove the strict ID requirements when purchasing – or, for that matter, carrying – a firearm.
Yes, it has long been a crime for criminals to arm themselves, yet it’s understood across the board that many still do. This same logic applies to a bill recently introduced by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) and 48 Republican co-sponsors. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would require in-person verification of citizenship in order to register to vote, and states would then have to purge their existing rolls of any non-citizens.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA), Rep. Roy, and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) announced the legislation Wednesday, May 8, and said it will ensure that only US citizens are voting in US elections.
“Due to the wide-open border that the Biden administration has refused to close – in fact, that they engineered to open – we now have so many noncitizens in the country that if only one out of 100 of those voted, they would cast hundreds of thousands of votes,” Johnson explained. He conceded that, yes, that would be illegal already, but he countered that truth with three others:
Millions of illegals have crossed into the US under the Biden administration.
A growing number of progressive municipalities are extending the right to vote to non-citizens in local elections.
Democrats have expressed a desire to see non-citizens vote.
The Problem Isn’t Real – And If It Were, It Wouldn’t Be a Problem?
“Noncitizen voting isn’t an issue in federal elections, regardless of conspiracy theories. Here’s why,” reads one headline repeated, verbatim, throughout establishment media outlets like AP and ABC. “U.S. House GOP targets noncitizen voting, even though it’s rare,” according to the Missouri Independent. And from Votebeat: “The fear of noncitizen voting is as baseless as it has been for 200 years.”
Yet for all their demurring and dissembling on the topic, Democrats clearly do want “undocumented residents” participating in elections. Montpelier and Burlington in Vermont; Washington, DC; and San Francisco – deeply progressive cities, all – allow non-citizen voting in municipal elections, and New York City did, as well, until a judge struck it down. Similar efforts have been seen in Boston and Los Angeles, though they have so far been unsuccessful. A Democrat in Connecticut introduced a bill last year to allow non-citizens to vote in state elections.
“Our noncitizen residents are paying taxes, enrolled in school, working here in the District of Columbia, and involved in community affairs,” DC Councilmember Brianne Nadeau said. “And without this legislation, they don’t have a voice in our elections, which is essentially one of the most fundamental things in our country.”
In 2022, House Democrats killed a GOP effort to prevent non-citizens from voting in US elections, and leftist activists and Biden’s Department of Justice are presently tied up in litigation with the state of Arizona fighting a new law that sought to address this very issue. Under a federal voter registration law from 1993 and a consent decree from 2018, the state can’t stop people who use a federal voter registration form from voting in national elections – an application that does not require verification of citizenship. The Arizona fix was to go along with the established federal form but disqualify anyone from voting in state or local elections who didn’t fill out the Arizona version of the form and verify citizenship status. And now there are two tiers of voter registration in the Grand Canyon State.
How can Democrats prove that non-citizens aren’t voting? They can’t for the same reason that Republicans often can’t prove that they are. Unless someone gets caught, there’s no official record that they voted as a non-citizen if they’re never required to prove their status. Yet Democrats continue to demur and dissemble. So why do they fight so hard to stop the GOP from making sure?

Bob Iger Insists Disney Stock Drop Not Caused By Failure Of Latest Movie 'Gay Black Pinocchio Protests For Palestine'
BURBANK, CA — As concerned shareholders sought answers, Disney CEO Bob Iger insisted the company's stock drop was not caused by the failure of the studio's latest movie Gay Black Pinocchio Protests for Palestine.
Despite the film's troubled production and poor word-of-mouth buzz due to an overwhelming majority of the viewing audience not being interested in seeing a film titled Gay Black Pinocchio Protests for Palestine, Disney leaders remained certain that it was not in any way to blame for the precipitous plunge of the company's stock value.
"Don't be ridiculous," said Disney CEO Bob Iger. "The fact that we're hemorrhaging money, customers, and stock value has absolutely nothing to do with any perceived unpopularity of our newest film about a flamboyantly gay, race-swapped Pinocchio standing up for the people of Gaza. This movie appeals to everyone."
Though industry insiders praised the film's premise for its bold representation of minority puppets that live alternative lifestyles and possess a strong desire to stand up for oppressed peoples, moviegoers were not enthusiastic. "Can't we just make fun movies anymore?" asked movie buff Jack Roberts. "Does everything have to have some social agenda now? Did we really need a gay puppet sex scene? I'll pass."
While the movie was a financial disaster, Disney executives vowed to not change anything they're doing in any way whatsoever. "The stock value will improve," Iger said. "Just wait until audiences get a look at our next project, Gay Black Lion King Protests for Changes To Title IX."

Biden Strikes Deal Where Hamas Gets To Keep American Hostages In Exchange For Fifteen Votes In Michigan
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In what the media hailed as a triumphant victory for diplomacy, President Joe Biden struck a deal where Hamas gets to keep all its American hostages in exchange for Biden receiving 15 votes in Michigan this November.
Political analysts cited the deal as a crucial element in Biden's re-election strategy, with the 15 additional votes he'll receive in Michigan adding to the several hundred thousand untraceable mail-in ballots to give him a sizeable advantage — all at the low cost of Hamas's American hostages.
"It's the product of masterful negotiation," one White House insider said. "The election is going to be a close one, so the president needs every vote he can get. Allowing Hamas to keep their American hostages in return for guaranteeing 15 votes in Michigan is a real coup. The president is confident that the Americans being held hostage by Hamas would be proud to sacrifice themselves to make sure he gets re-elected."
When asked to comment on the deal, President Biden downplayed its importance. "I didn't do that," he said. "Listen, folks. I will not make any deal that leaves American lives in the hands of terrorists. What I did was nod my head when someone asked me if I wanted 15 more votes in Michigan. And they also said I could have ice cream. I like chocolate chip ice cream. Anyway…"
At publishing time, the White House had confirmed reports that they also agreed to send a dozen pallets of cash to Hamas in exchange for assurances that Biden would win Michigan.

Biden inspired madness worsens every day. Let's visit those fine teachers in Chicago today.
Chicago Schools Crumble While Teachers Make Extremist Demands
Posted on Friday, May 10, 2024
by Tammy Bruce
Chicago Teachers Union logo displayed on top of a pile of 100 dollar bills of US currency
We hear all the time that whenever the left takes something over, nothing thrives. But that’s not entirely true. Three things thrive when the left is in charge: madness, chaos, and failure. Every day the Biden administration provides an example of this for the world to see, but let’s look at the latest gob-smacking illustration. The Chicago Teachers Union’s (CTU) bizarre, extreme, and detached from reality contract demands.
In leaked documents exposing their contract negotiations with the Chicago Public School System, the CTU’s demands include pay hikes, free abortions, housing for illegal aliens (whom they call ‘newcomers’), LGBT ‘training’ in schools, climate initiatives, and the right to close schools for remote zoom classes for any situation the teachers deem a “trauma.” The Daily Mail reported, “After any ‘traumatic event’ that happens at a school – which is not defined – the superintendent will be required to meet with the head of the teachers union to discuss closing the school for some time. ‘No school will reopen until all necessary supports, both physical and emotional, are in place,’ according to the contract.” Any closures of this type will also prevent teachers’ performance from being evaluated for that entire calendar year. How convenient.
And it doesn’t end there. They also demand school board policies that would prohibit being compelled to disclose to parents when a child declares they’re ‘transgender,’ and they want ‘gender-affirming care’ provided for all union members.
It’s one thing to negotiate for a reward or raise when you’ve been successful at your job. But the opposite is true for Chicago schools. Only 12.2 percent of low-income 3rd graders are reading at grade level, and only 21 percent of 8th graders are proficient at reading. Wirepoints reports, “They never tell parents the truth about how literacy has collapsed in Chicago Public Schools, particularly for black students. Only 2 of every 10 can read at grade level, according to CPS data. In many city schools, it’s 0 out of 10.” Moreover, the Illinois Policy Institute reports, “About three-quarters of Chicago Public Schools students cannot read at grade level on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness in 2023. Nearly 83% did not meet proficiency in math. Students in Chicago and statewide are still performing worse than they did before the pandemic.”
And what is the response by the CTU for this failure? They want a raise! “Union President Stacy Davis Gates’ audacious plan calls for members to bank at least 9% wage increases each year through fiscal year 2028. The average salary of a teacher in Chicago Public Schools is $93,182…Therefore, the average teacher’s pay will increase by half to $144,620 in the 2027-2028 school year… That figure would equate to more than double the median household income in Chicago, according to Census Bureau statistics,” reported Fox News.
The mendacity of this is shocking. The overall cost for the madness? 50 billion dollars. Or more specifically, “$50 billion and 3 cents” according to Union President Stacy Davis Gates who, as Fox News reported, declared: “We are asking you to give us an opportunity to tell our story,” Gates said in a speech in March referring to the union’s plans. “It will cost $50 billion and three cents… yes it will, and so what, that’s audacity.”
Actually, audacity is destroying young people’s lives by failing to teach the basics, and then pushing them out into society unprepared and illiterate. No teacher enters the profession hoping to destroy a student’s life. And yet, here is union leadership making preposterous demands about ‘social justice’ and political issues, all while the education of the children in their care is abandoned in favor of left-wing activism. Every teacher in every city who cares about their students should take note of what happens when you hand the control of your union, city, or country over to leftist agitators.
There is a method to their madness, however– the left relies on perpetual victimhood, and producing generations of functionally illiterate individuals, which will certainly keep the victim coffers full.
And why would they expect this, or any part of this chaos, to pass? “’ The Chicago Teachers Union spent nearly $2.3 million to get a union employee elected mayor, in large part because they want to legislate via their union contract. These demands read more like a political agenda than a serious contract intent on supporting teachers’ wages and benefits, and promoting the education of Chicago students,’ said Mailee Smith, Senior Director of Labor Policy at the Illinois Policy Institute. “These demands are far outside the scope of traditional bargaining, putting taxpayer dollars on the line in pursuit of more union power and social activism,’”
The destruction isn’t limited to Chicago: Wirepoints tells us, “In 2023, there were 67 Illinois schools where not a single student tested was proficient in math and 32 schools where no student tested was proficient in reading. What’s worse, officials in those schools graduated nearly 70% of their students. More than 12,000 students attend Illinois’ zero-proficiency schools. Every single one of those children will struggle in life because they lack basic reading and math skills.”
The madness, chaos, and failure unleashed in Illinois and Chicago’s schools immediately affects the families involved, but it also portends a disaster for America in general. We’ve seen the mess leftist activists have made of school boards and districts throughout blue states and cities. How much talent, passion, brilliance, and ingenuity are we losing when we allow students to be thrown into the leftist volcano? The CTU is an example of what the left has always done— co-opt an important issue and then parasitically invade organizations involved in work important to all Americans. The left then rides the issues to power and money, destroying everything it leaves in its wake.
What’s happening in Chicago and Illinois is also what’s happening at our universities—very few people are taking control of the environment to pursue their own failed, Marxist agenda, to the detriment of everyone else.
The leaked CTU negotiating document has not yet been released as their official bargaining stance, but no matter what they edit, soften, or re-write, all of this is part of the Marxist agenda which they fully intend to implement, no matter how long it takes.

Carnival Rides
“These agencies are not trusted because they are not trustworthy.” — El Gato Malo on “X”
James Howard Kunstler
May 10, 2024
The miasma of anxiety befogging so many brains in our troubled land begins to lift as every narrative served up by the US fascist intel blob goes annoyingly stale and impotent. The worst media meme — that a vicious officialdom is “defending our democracy” — gets laughed out of the room now when repeated incessantly by such shills as Jen Psaki and Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC. Everybody understands they want to “defend our democracy” by cancelling your freedom of speech, pounding you into bankruptcy, and stealing whatever remains of your stuff.
Likewise, everything else: that our doings in Ukraine are a “fight for freedom,” that “white supremacy” lurks just out of sight getting ready to pounce on the “marginized” (who are actually running things, and doing it very badly), that “Joe Biden” turned around the economy, that “voting rights” equals non-citizens getting to vote, that election fraud is a “big lie” (and that the J-6 riot over it was an “insurrection”), and that the Covid vaccines were “safe and effective.”
None of these dishonest persuasions work anymore, and all of the persuasion machinery stands in plain sight like so many nauseating carnival rides. One by one, the rides are flying apart, scattering debris and body parts of the poor slobs who were on the rides all over the fairgrounds. And so, the fear rises in the ones running the carnival. The county sheriff stands by looking to round up the sleazeball carnies with their missing teeth and needle tracks inside their elbows. Before long, they will find themselves in the courtroom. . . .
The vicious officialdom put up the carnival and all of its rides to distract the public from the crimes they committed during and after the 2016 election. Donald Trump’s idle talk about putting Hillary Clinton in jail struck nerves throughout the federal bureaucracy, the halls of Congress, and the strongholds of the Clintons and the Obamas.
The Clintons had literally bought the Democratic Party apparatus under the DNC, using the money they grifted into the Clinton foundation from such operations as the Uranium One deal, the Skolkovo war-tech transfer deal, and the Haiti earthquake relief effort. They were sure that ownership of the DNC guaranteed the election for Hillary. It did guarantee that she would overcome Bernie Sanders’ primary election victories and the delegates that came with them, even after Julian Assange’s Wikileaks release informed the world just how the Clintons bought and paid for the DNC and the whole Philadelphia convention. Call this the birth of the “misinformation” cult, in which everything true was converted into a “big lie.”
The problem was, Hillary lost that election. What a surprise! Buying the convention was not enough, it turned out. Those “deplorables” did the unthinkable: cast enough of their stinky votes in just the right rust belt precincts to elect the Golden Golem of Greatness, who was as surprised as anybody, and really unprepared to cobble together an actual governing administration — in the process of which, Donald J. Trump was completely buffaloed by the outgoing Obama gang. They plotted by the lights of the White House Christmas tree to go after the interloper with all they had, starting with the surgical removal of a most dangerous appointee, National Security Advisor Mike Flynn, who knew all the secrets. . . and from there onto four years of Russia, Russia, Russia. . . .
It’s hardly a mystery anymore how “Joe Biden” got elected. It’s perfectly obvious despite the “big lie” narrative that the 2020 election was stoked with a veritable orgy of ballot fraud and direct election interference by agency rogues, especially the ones leaning hard on Facebook, Twitter, and Google to manipulate what the public actually saw. Don’t believe your lying eyes they told the nation. What is a mystery is why they chose “Joe Biden” to front for the cabal around Barack Obama actually running the show. Never before in US history was there a president who left such a slime trail of bribery and corruption. Just as they had spent all their energy the previous four years in undermining Mr. Trump, they had to spend the next four years propping up and defending “Joe Biden,” and then desperately trying to save their own asses from a Trump return. Meanwhile, they set out on their mission to wreck the country sufficient to clear the way for establishing a transhuman public-private utopia of crypto-Marxian “equity” (theft of property).
All of this political legerdemain summoned up the miasma of anxiety that beclouded the people of this sore-beset republic, and the nearly final blow to them was the Covid-19 operation, set in motion with the phony PCR test, that has now left a substantial number of citizens, vaccine-injured, disabled, and on-course for an early death — a pretty grotesque affront to our democracy. The victims are beginning to realize it.
The battery of Trump trials and lawsuits meant to put him totally out of business are now all simultaneously collapsing. Special Counsel Jack Smith is left doing Chinese fire drills around his office Keurig coffee machine. When the prank-fest in Judge Juan Merchan’s courtroom concludes, whether the jury sees the show for the farce that it is, or not, the Golden Golem of Greatness will be at large again among the voters. If he is clever enough to pick a capable veep that represents something like “assassination insurance” — say, Vivek, Tulsi Gabbard, or JD Vance — then the Obama cabal and the blob that has been protecting it will be swept out of power and into a dragnet of a kind of law actually associated with the word justice.
They are running out of ways to avoid it. All they’ve got left are the direst resorts: war, crashing the economy, another bio-weapon op against their own people, or an outright coup d'état. And even those probably won’t work.

California AG Bonta Prepares Lawsuits Ahead of Possible Trump 2024 Win
California Attorney General Rob Bonta (D) is preparing a barrage of lawsuits in the event that former President Donald Trump wins the 2024 election, studying his agenda and planning to stop it in advance in a repeat of 2017-21.
Bonta is planning to repeat the work of his predecessor, Xavier Becerra, who returned from Congress and revived a dormant law license to sue the Trump administration in liberal federal jurisdictions to tie down his presidency.
The Los Angeles Times reported Thursday:
California Atty. Gen. Rob Bonta said he and his staff have been reviewing former President Trump’s second-term agenda in detail to prepare a potential onslaught of environmental, immigration and civil rights lawsuits in the event Trump defeats President Biden.
…
Bonta, a Democrat who is mulling a run for governor, said he has been reviewing the work of his predecessor, Xavier Becerra, who filed more than 100 suits against Trump policies before leaving the office to become Biden’s secretary of Health and Human Services. Bonta and his deputies are also looking closely at a document drafted by the Heritage Foundation, a Trump-aligned think tank, known as “Project 2025,” that offers a blueprint for Trump’s second-term policy goals.
…
Asked for comment on Bonta’s plans, Anna Kelly, a spokesperson for the Republican National Committee, said, “California liberals will try anything to spread their failed, fringe-left agenda far and wide, but they won’t stop President Trump from making America great again.”
Bonta’s office failed to respond this week to a query from Breitbart News about what the California Attorney General was doing to uphold the civil rights of Jews on campus, after antisemitic “encampments” spread across the state.

Country life is much different than urban life.
Thousands and thousands of farmers have weighed in on Kristi's animal killing spree they're all horrified at her reaction to murdering a puppy for not being the right dog for the job. You sound like you agree Kristi was right to kill Cricket instead of putting her up for adoption. Good to know you also think so little for an animal's life. You're a MAGA so it's not really surprising.
Are you a vegetarian
I haven't eaten meat since I was 30 years old.
That's true, but there's an unusual number of them that claim to be "family value" religious pastors. Why do you think that is?
LMAO ..... Cult God = Biden! You're grasping at straws here. Are you a vegetarian or vegan? Country life is much different than urban life.
Sexual deviants come in all shapes, forms, religions, countries, sexes, ages, backgrounds, ect. In my opinion there's no place in society for that perversion.
That's all you have for a reply? You're retaliating because you know that the dog having fun puts your cult God to shame on stairs.
12 New Badges You Can Get In The More Inclusive Boy Scouts
Much has been made about the Boy Scouts of America changing its name to "Scouting America" to promote greater inclusivity, but few people have heard about all the cool new merit badges scouts can now earn!
The Babylon Bee has obtained the following list of new badges kids can get as part of "Scouting America":
Pride Badge: Earned for sewing your own rainbow pride badge and declaring it "fabulous". Yay, scouting.
Flag Badge: Obtained by starting a fire using nothing but lighter fluid, a match, and an American flag.
Crime Badge: Use those knot-tying skills to make a noose, then use it to fake a hate crime. It's never too early to learn.
Camping Badge: Earn this badge with an overnight field trip to a real Ivy League campus. Don't forget your Rubbermaid shield!
Decolonize The West Badge: Obtain this merit by explaining to an old Army veteran why democracy is evil and math is racist. Good luck.
Pronoun Guessing Badge: Earned by guessing your scout leader's gender on the first try. Not so easy these days.
Molotov Badge: Credit for firebombing a building, extra credit if the young scout makes the firebomb himself (or herself, or theyself, or whatever).
Transition Badge: Earned for performing your own gender transition in the wild using nothing but what you find in nature.
First AIDS Badge: Be the first in your scout troop to... well, you know.
Pfizer Badge: Won by reaching double digit COVID vaccinations. Just a few more blood clots, Timmy!
Marks-person-ship Badge: Get out of here with that outdated "marksmanship" and its patriarchal origins.
Self-Defense Badge: Obtained by identifying as a woman and then beating the crap out of women in MMA. Victory!
Just think of all the amazing skills your child can develop while filling up their uniform with so many amazing badges. The best part? All scouts will receive every badge whether they've actually accomplished the task or not. Inclusivity!

Dead Worm Found In RFK Jr.’s Brain Already Polling Higher Than Biden In 11 States
May 8, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
U.S. — Following the revelation that a deadly parasite was once removed from his skull, political experts were shocked to learn that the dead worm found in Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s brain was already polling higher than Joe Biden in 11 states.
The latest poll results indicated a large portion of the electorate had abandoned Biden in favor of the deceased parasite that had previously been lodged in RFK Jr.'s brain, leaving the White House scrambling to formulate a strategy to combat the dead worm.
"We weren't expecting to see numbers like these," said one high-ranking Biden campaign strategist under the condition of anonymity. "We considered the fact that Joe would struggle up against living competition, but seeing him fall behind a worm that isn't even alive is a huge red flag. We're really fighting an uphill battle here. And, from what I've heard, you never want to fight uphill."
A campaign team had already begun to coalesce around the dead brain worm, believing it to be the most viable candidate on the left to provide an alternative to Biden. "Brain Worm 2024!" shouted one excited campaign staffer. "Why risk another four years under a failed Biden administration when you can take a stand for a brighter, more prosperous future with a dead brain worm at the helm?"
At publishing time, rumors had begun swirling that the dead worm from RFK Jr.'s brain was in discussions to name the fly that landed on Mike Pence during a debate as its running mate.

The Energy Absurdity of the Week: Media Suddenly Discovers Politicians Make Promises for Campaign Donations
But only when Trump does it.
David Blackmon
May 09, 2024
The news today is filled with reports by the legacy media outlets that form the propaganda wing of the Democrat party expressing shock and surprise that a presidential contender made some promises to business executives as he asked them for big contributions to his campaign.
Why, the nerve! That’s never happened, has it? Apparently, media outlets ranging from the Washington Post to Politico to Reuters to the New York Times to the Guardian to the Atlantic had never heard of such a thing happening until it involved a dinner for oil and gas executives hosted by - you guessed it - Donald J. Trump.
You don’t have to believe me: Just go out to Google and do a search on “Trump and oil executives,” and see what comes up.
Here’s what I found:
I especially love the headline from Politico: “A little bold and gross: Oil industry writes executive orders for Trump to sign.”
Hey, you never saw that publication complaining about the NRDC, Sierra Club or PETA writing executive orders for Joe Biden to sign. You sure as hell don’t see any of those propaganda outlets bitching when the Center For Biological Diversity dictates endangered species listings to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, or when EV makers and wind and solar developers literally wrote entire sections in the Inflation Reduction Act that now plow billions of dollars of subsidies back into their own pockets.
Truly, the sort of rampant crony capitalism running out-of-control in Washington right now is fantastic to the media so long as Democrats are in charge.
But let Trump promise to take action to reverse some of Biden’s climate alarm policy madness while soliciting donations, and you’d think the damn world has come to an end.
One of my favorite excerpts from the WaPo story comes in the first 2 paragraphs:
Former president Donald Trump repeatedly ranted about wind power during a fundraising dinner with oil and gas industry executives last week, claiming that the renewable-energy source is unreliable, unattractive and bad for the environment.
“I hate wind,” Trump told the executives over a meal of chopped steak at his Mar-a-Lago Club and resort in Florida, according to a person with knowledge of the meeting, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a private conversation.
[End]
Wooo-hooo! Who do I send the check to? I’m happy to pay for truth-telling like this, and so should every one of those present at that Mar-a-Lago event.
Meanwhile, the writers at the far-left Guardian seem to be having a case of the vapors here:
In front of more than 20 executives, including from Chevron, Exxon and Occidental Petroleum, he promised to increase oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, remove hurdles to drilling in the Alaskan Arctic, and reverse new rules designed to cut car pollution. He would also overturn the Biden administration’s decision in January to pause new natural gas export permits which have been denounced as “climate bombs”.
[End]
I mean, this is just the same kind of stuff Trump did in his first term. Were these clowns just not paying attention?
And that last sentence about Biden’s ‘pause’ in LNG export permits: Are we really to believe these fake journalists aren’t aware that order was made purely as a sop to Biden’s own campaign funders in the climate alarm lobby?
Like it or not, this is how American politics work: Individuals, NGOs, unions, companies and entire industries tend to donate money to politicians who promise to take policy actions that are best for their own interests.
One of the big media complaints about Trump is that he tends to be so direct and blunt about it, or as multiple stories complain, he takes a “transactional approach” to politics. Well hell, all that means is he’s being unusually honest about what everyone knows is going on here.
What these propagandists still don’t get after all these years of covering Trump is that his direct and blunt approach to politics is one of the main reasons why he won in 2016, probably won in 2020, and is increasingly likely to win again this year. The fact that his behavior is “unusual” for a political figure is actually one of his main assets.
Back in 2016, an unusually high percentage of oil executives supported Hillary Clinton instead of Trump. If they make that same mistake in judgment again this time around, well, they will richly deserve what they get from a second Biden term.
That is all.

Biden Doubles Down on Incorrect Inflation Claims
By Sandy Fitzgerald | Thursday, 09 May 2024 10:22 AM EDT
President Joe Biden, still insisting that he is turning the economy around, repeated claims Wednesday that inflation "was 9% when I came to office," but federal reports show otherwise.
"No president has had the run we've had in terms of creating jobs and bringing down inflation," Biden told CNN's Erin Burnett. "It was 9% when I came to office."
But The New York Post noted that inflation was at 1.4% when Biden took office in January 2021.
According to Bureau of Labor Statistics records, overall inflation was at 1.4% in January 2021. It climbed to 4.2% in just a few months in April 2021, then reached 9.1%, a 40-year high, by June 2022.
Meanwhile, inflation as of March was at 3.5%, 2.1 percentage points higher than it was when Biden was sworn in.
The president made similar claims in April after the BLS March reports were released, blaming former President Donald Trump for the rapid climb in prices and claiming that his administration "dramatically reduced inflation from 9% down to close to 3%."
"We're better situated than where we were when we took office, where inflation was skyrocketing," Biden said then.
Biden also defended his policies after Burnett pressed him on polls showing that voters trust Trump more on the economy.
He responded that he has already "turned around" the economy, even though interest rates and inflation remain high.
Biden's critics say massive spending bills passed in his first year of office fueled inflation.
According to BLS data, the average prices of goods and services have increased 19% in the past four years. Prices increased by 8% during Trump's four years in office.
Burnett reminded Biden that home prices have doubled from before the pandemic and consumer confidence is near a two-year low. But Biden insisted that polling data has been "wrong all along."
"Look at the [University of] Michigan survey — 65% of the American people think they're in good shape economically," he said. "They think the nation is not in good shape. They're personally [in] good shape."
Biden also blamed high inflation on "shrinkflation" and "corporate greed," where before he blamed it on COVID-19 supply chains and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"The fact is that if you take a look at what the people have, they have the money to spend; it angers them and angers me that you have to spend more," Biden said. "For example, the whole idea of this notion Sen. [Bob] Casey [of Pennsylvania] talked about, shrink inflation. For example, Snickers bars, they did a thing, and it's like 20% less for the same price. That's corporate greed. And we've got to deal with it."

It is Your Economy .. yours, mine, our family, friends and neighbors -- EVERYONE to some degree is touched by the markets and their behavior. So we should be aware of the various mechanisms that make the markets and our economy tick. We live in a new era where politics, rumor, weather and just about anything you can think of effects the markets and our economy in some way, shape or form. Like it or not we are globally tied at the hip and in this new era where the advent of technology and the internet pushes information to the edge of the envelope, we can only hope to keep up with the many challenges ahead and the speed at which they develop. Technology is a double-edged sword and unfortunately can be used for good as well as evil, it just depends on who is holding the sword. This board was created to follow news, markets, stocks, cycles, trends, indicators and most of all to communicate and share ideas. Humor and Cartoons are welcome here, it breaks up the monotony from time to time and I am alays game for a good joke. I enjoy data mining, especially for info that the MSM (Main Stream Media) fail to or are not allowed to report. We must see things from all angles and aspects in order to verify what is true and what is false, basically becoming more atune to separating the wheat from the chaff. Hopefully in the long run this will help us all to make better and more sound decisions. This board is/was basically an information board, but all are welcome to post, (actually I encourage it because looking through another's eyes gives more perspective on issues). We can never learn too much about these ever changing times and the economy at hand.
* I have only a couple of rules and that is if you should post; NO PURE POLITICS or RELIGION and as always expected, please PLAY NICE !!!
>>>
>>>
NOTE: What is meant by "pure politics" as stated in this boards' iBox decriptiion is just that.., it has no real ties to the economy and is mainly a composition of political innuendo. As I assume most of you know, it is difficult at times to separate politics from the economy due to the fact that politics plays a very large part in our everyday lives; be it on an economical, personal or other level altogether. Therefore this has created problems in the discernment of which posts should stay or go due to their leaning too far toward the political side and are slight on economic issues. As hard as my assistants and I try, we cannot please everyone. But we do what we do and want to be fair, we do want what should stay as part of this forums curricular. Everyone has an opinion and/or wants to be heard and I will do whatever I can to help ensure that is what takes place and hopefully most will not feel as though they are being targeted or alienated.
In the end all I can ask is that you be patient if a post of yours has been deleted, yet it has economic undertones that state otherwise and you feel should remain. If you feel you have been wronged - relax, sit back and PM me and I will make a final judgement. I am rather liberal, therefore more times than not I most likely will restore your post if it has merit and/or fallen between the cracks. Things happen or are interpreted differently and sometimes incorrectly, we are human. So do NOT throw a hissy fit nor become a foul mouth fool. Also PM harassment is frowned upon and should carry a level of disciplinary action, but I will leave that up to iHub Admin. Besides all that life is too precious to spend in a tirade. These types of behavior will get you no where except a closer view of the exit.. Treat people as you would like to be treated and we can work through most issues. It all starts with civil dialogue, respect for another's opinion even if not agreed upon. An agreement to disagree is the way I like to see things conclude when minds cannot meld. Just because an agreement cannot be reached does not mean we automatically have to trash another for their views and/or opinions. Let's face it, we all want better, we all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves and we all want to gain an edge in the game of life. This cannot be accomplished without an open mind and a certain level of tolerance for all that speak out.
As a matter of fact I encourage as many of you as possible to post, even if it is just once a month. You don't have to take the world by storm, it could be about something as simple as a neighborhood observation such as more homes up for sale than in months past or how empty the parking lots are at a traditionally known hot spot. Post an article or commentary that hits close to home, test the waters and see if others have seen similar events around the country. We have at our fingertips virtually 100s of libraries of information and cyber chat connections we can use to find out how different aspects of the economy are doing all around the nation. I truly believe we all have a lot to contribute and share and while we all will never see eye to eye on every subject or then again maybe none at all, but different points of view may enhance our own outlook or the way we see and do things. Right or wrong, the world is constantly evolving and technology will begin to pick up speed by leaps and bounds So we could serve each other better if we take what is posted for face value instead of an opportunity to lambaste someone that sees things in a different light than our own preconditioned mindset. When opposing views are met with hostile impositions it is of no service to anyone. I certainly would not want a cult following or a bunch of "yes" men setting the tone for this forum, I want diversity !!! Variety is the spice of life !!! You cannot expand your horizons if you automatically shut down and feel as though you have it all figured out. I got news for you, you don't and you won't until you are lying on your death bed. I do not care who you are or how worldly and educated you may be, we never stop learning unless we hold ourselves back with preconceived notions. Knowledge IS Power...
AND if you should feel the need to post on an otherwise different, yet similar stage:
Your Economy OT - Conspiracy, Politics, Religion, Terrorism, War (whatever else you can think of) (YE2OT)
It's open and ready for business. Over there you can post whatever you like to your hearts content, especially political/economic articles and commentary that does not quite fit in at YE1. So now you have 2 boards - One for economics, markets, trends, data, news, commentary, etc. - a more serious site for those who want the straight dope. And now the YE2OT board for everything else. I will play Moderator, but I am taking applications for an assistant who would control 90%+ of the interaction over there.
If people choose, they can travel between boards if they need a fix of some controlled chaos at YE2OT and then want some cold hard facts as (YE1) was intended.
I want everyone to have a voice, now you have a choice .. enjoy
