Wow, did I miss the boat. Thought getting in at 1.20 was a great deal today...and here we sit at 1.10. Yikes...
Thanks jrussin2006
AF is a first class moron, Ive seen him destroy several companies. Im a long time holder here so still in good shape, I did buy Monday at 1.53, and yeah, should have bought when it went below 1.10. Oh well.
US and CDN markets are differing a bit today on YM with the US being down and CDN holding steady (but the sellers are outweighing the buyers at the moment). I think the best thing would be for this to go dormant for a while until the silliness blows over. Theyve got so much going for them that I cant possibly think of this dropping much more.
Holding my breath (long term).
Anyone know what the 'Ordin' means beside the name on the quote page here? First time Ive seen that.
~edit - just picked up some heavy orders on the bid side. Now 32-2 bidders to askers on my quote page.
I'm looking for a move today back above 1.50-1.60 level.
Maybe a small pull back at the open to try and sucker a few more sellers but that washout was pretty sizable yesterday. The general market stinks so lots of risk on plays are out of favor. I also said yesterday a hedge fund was a forced seller due to a margin call.Compounded by retail bailing at the bottom.
No big investors at the meeting seemed so concerned about the PPS action or the trial results due. There were no questions after the presentation yesterday. One would think if there was major concern, the big investors would be barking at management with questions.
When trial results are as hoped, YMI could be a month or two away from a large pharma partnership or buyout.
Yes, the meeting was scheduled, and isn't it convenient that it was on the same day as the drop. Unconfirmed rumor has it that some hedge fund was caught with their shorts down on VRUS and dumped their marginal holdings (Adam Fuerstein), which included YMI. Seems that the shorts took advantage of this and started the cascade of selling, which alot of retail sold into. This is the only logical thing I can think of. I was a deer in the headlights at $1.03, when I probably should have averaged down. By all accounts and a news release nothing has changed with the company fundamentally. It seems that twitter helped the selloff today too. I am not sure what to expect today, because if the rumor is true, is the fund done dumping? I've never been caught up in a raid this bad. I would also venture to say that all the shorts covered yesterday, well at least all the smart ones. I've been patiently waiting for this to happen for months based on witnessing several other biotechs go through what I would call a washout of the bulls just before big news. I should have waited just two more days, because I bought Friday at $1.67. :(
Was this a scheduled call?
I'm listening to the meeting now and everything sounds very good!
Damn I missed a good trade:(
yup I got owned took a 30% hit and now it is recovering :(
Any educated guesses on what is going on???Tonight is a regular shareholders meeting correct???
Green or even? Doubtful - will be happy with a close above 1.30
Finish in the green today?? Anyone got sellers remorse?
I think a large long hedge fund got a margin call and had to
dump. Then retail saw the red tape and sold into the downturn.
We just might finish un-changed or green today.
1.40 breaks and the bulls will run this fast........rare
By the way, its still a strong buy at these levels!!
Jumped back in at a lower entry for half the amount of shares as my original position - much closer stop this time around
If we rebound tomorrow will probably jump ship limiting my losses from my original position at 1.65

Already wishing Id hit the button around 1.10. IR will never tell you anything bad. I dont see them executing the offering right now, thats just fear mongerers trying to take advantage of the situation. The related news was probably leaked a week ago and thats when the fall started. This too shall pass.
IR was bullish, i think this is the classic wash out the retail
at the bottom move. Seen it a few times in ymi and other bios. Was always the time to load the boat. I pressed the IR about a share offer and they repeated over and over NO. Then added at this price they would never do it with 73 mill in cash on hand.
Granted IR is always bullish when ever i speak with any companys IR dept. I think ymi being rumor mongered lower.
10% bounce now, but where will it go in the short term. Gutsy call right now but I think youll be fine long term. I own a ton too and arent selling any (maybe buying more). This company is very high on my long term list. No worries yet, just another hiccup.
I spoke with IR and they said there are rumors taking them down. They said NO share sale, 70 plus million in cash, everything was going good and insiders can't buy cause there in lock out period.
The stocks cheap here. If they can be believed then its a major buying opportunity. YMI has seen these dumps before and always rebounded. Will it this time ? I know when the news is good next month you got a double here easy!
INCY tanked before it ran, many bios dive before they really run.
Funds shake out the retail into selling at the bottom and they load up at the bottom. Well see but i bought in big below 1.20.
Either gonna pay big to buy the fear or i'm selling if it goes below 1.00.
Company prospects are still excellent. Its an overreaction to a related NR. Still lots to shake out yet. Long term will be fine.
Its a washout, time to buy hands over fist.
Human genome did the same thing before its run. INCY did the same also, look back at the charts. IR was clear theres no share sale and no news. The said its rumors ! The market has been ripe with these false rumors in many stocks the last months!
Just spoke with IR and they said theres no news from the company and no share sale is coming. They said they felt very positive about the up coming trial data but could offer no news on that.
They felt they were extremely cheap now.
The selling relates to CTY387 news surely.
Cant 'confirm' a bottom on something that is still falling. Its all my fault anyways, I bought more yesterday:(
could this be the reason for the saleoff??

GLPG0634 met the primary endpoint of significant improvement in ACR20[1] response rate and showed impressive results in secondary efficacy endpoints: ACR50, ACR70, DAS28[2] and CRP (C-reactive protein). GLPG0634 was well-tolerated, with all patients completing the trial and no safety signals reported. No anemia or increases in lipids (LDL or cholesterol) were observed in this trial. No severe adverse events were reported in patients receiving GLPG0634.
"We noticed a rapid and remarkable response for the RA patients participating in this trial, with no treatment-emergent safety signals arising," said Minodora Mazur, MD, PhD, Professor Internal Medicine & Rheumatology, State Medical and Pharmaceutical University "Nicolae Testemitanu" and Principal Investigator for the trial. "Patients did very well while on therapy - in fact, many reported significant improvements after one week of treatment."
"Despite the short duration of the trial, GLPG0634 shows one of the highest initial response rates ever reported for rheumatoid arthritis treatments. If this efficacy and safety profile is maintained
Join the crowd, same here. ouch
Good Luck Cat, broke all my rules on this and am still holding @ 20 % loss. Good luck on the next one.
Has it occurred to anyone that when $heff announces he is buying, and all his followers do the same, that that would be a great time to short a stock?
I had a stop at 1.35 and it got snagged -
I bought this on friday at 1.65 and sold it today (2 days later) at 1.35 - HORRIBLE TRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too. Sheff is out also.
Suspect there is an informed seller. The volume says it all. Rather stay on the sidelines then try and average down
Your right, but do you sell down here an a new 52 week high or hope for a rebound to get out with a little more $$ - - ?
I just don't like the way this is trading. We have seen more shares trade in the last 20 min then we have seen in a whole day. Some thing is not right.
Just about a million shares exchanged hands there in the last few minutes -
Either this was brought down by the big guys for a massive cover before positive news or - insiders bailing by the droves while we sit and wonder what the hell is going on -
Hmm..............big volume that's for sure
Whats with all this volume?
Guess not - frick this is looking bad
Anyone else thinking 1.45 is the bottom or just a pit stop on the way down? I want to average down from 1.67, but I need more confirmation of a bottom.
lol!!! hillarius
what do u say about 90% of my other stocks????
I think this is just a bad combination of a recent downtrend coupled with a fast moving stock and a horrible day for the overall market.
Fearing and ACTUALLY KNOWING are two way different things. JMO
Today's Price Action
I fear someone knows something on what to expect at ASH. Hence the consistent selling. Someone is holing out of YMI
I got impatient also and bought at 1.64 on friday - now i'm in the hole 10%!
Frick - hope it holds the 52 week low, if not i'm out -
I am, and I hope others are as well. I thought 1.53 was the bottom, but I got impatient and bought on Friday. If this stock is going to do what I think it will that is the bottom, and I will continue to hold unless it breaks 1.50 and I will take my losses. The overall markets and politicians ever growing part in them concern me.
And usually a bad idea to sell on a down day too.

YMI BioSciences, Inc.
CYT997 has completed two Phase I studies in advanced solid tumors and is currently being studied in a Phase II clinical trial in combination with chemotherapy in patients with relapsed glioblastoma multiforme. Results from the intravenous Phase I dose escalation study were published in the British Journal of Cancer (Lickliter et al, 2010), and demonstrated clinically meaningful disease stabilization in the majority of patients treated. Data showed that CYT997 administration was associated with changes in plasma and imaging biomarkers consistent with vascular disruption in tumors. Magnetic resonance imaging showed significant changes in tumor perfusion consistent with vascular disruption in some patients. Data from the Phase I oral study of CYT997 in patients with advanced cancer were reported at ASCO 2009 (Francesconi et al, 2009).
