So far I’m wrong brother. Can week 3 hang tough?
How far do ratings slide?
They go up (impossible) and the stock soars next week.
They stay the same and the stock does well.
They dip slightly and the stock STILL performs well next week.
They dip significantly (as they will) and the early bail continues.
IMO
I do not see that legal argument going anywhere. Sounds like a disgruntled investor & I'm surprised any attorney would even represent it. Being mad that pps went down doesn't mean you have legal standing against the chairman. Be mad at yourself, or market makers for artificially taking it down, but not at vkm.
Xfl is off to a great start. Not surprised. Not fair to truly judge it till at least another month but I suspect it'll be a big success.
Back to wwe...
2020 will be highest revs ever, again.
The rating were not bad over the weekend and neither was the actual football play. I want this to succeed as a football fan and I personally believe there is a market for a spring league. I doubt the league folds in the middle of the season like the AAF. IMO the XFL got off to a good start and is so much bette than the previous XFL product. The kickoff is a great idea to still have exciting kickoffs while limiting injuries. The 25 second play clock and the refs, in booth ref, trainers and players microphoned is a good idea but can be tricky to navigate. Cameras inside locker rooms at Halftime. The extra point rules as well. This league is very intriguing and I can see it working as a spring league that can act like an unofficial minor league of the NFL. MLB, NHL, and the NBA all have some kind of minor league system or alternative league. Football which is America’s #1 sport has room for another league.
The XFL and WWE are linked tho. There was just a lawsuit filed by a guy to find out just how closely they are linked.
“Did Alpha Entertainment, the XFL’s parent company, which is wholly owned by Vince McMahon, pay fair market value to WWE for the intellectual property of the original XFL, which included giving WWE a percentage of the company?
Is Alpha paying WWE fair market value for the support services that WWE is providing as part of that deal?
Was the XFL revival announced before the deal was completed?
In general, did McMahon and WWE, including WWE’s lawyers, act in a way that was not in WWE’s best interests?”

When the Network started really kicking and they signed the great TV deal and the pps rose like Sabu signaling to the sky, people were expecting that dividend to rise. Even another .12 per year would have been enough to keep things interesting.
WWE has made it abundantly clear that to own their stock, you get .48 per year every year so help me Hull Hogan.
So, let’s plot price then. What is a fair return? I’m gonna set a big arse buy at $25 per share and leave it. Two months I’ll get em after people are laughing about the quarter filled stands in the first round of the XFL playoffs.
Company might be doing great, but:
1. They just missed guidance.
2. They ain’t raising dividend.
3. With a .48 dividend, the stock pps was WAY too high. It’s STILL too high.
4. Vince ain’t feeling generous. He is about to lose the $ he raised by selling a ton of stock while it was higher.
This thing is going down duh duh down.
I think lots of people are playing this one, I don't usually do big board stocks, mostly prefer otc.
But, the company is doing excellent. The real numbers don't lie.
Lots of people are scalping off big money here as this fluctuates 10-20%.
It will settle out, and all will be well.
2020---where it all begins, Again.
I wouldn't cast judgement of XFL (Which has nothing to do with wwe) for at least 4-5 weeks. If you think he didn't learn lessons from last time, you are drastically underestimating him lol. And generally it's unwise to ever, ever underestimate a McMahon.
Vince has NOTHING. No ads, no crossover star to promote (imagine if they had signed Brady or something), complete B team players....
DOA?
Everyone realizes XFL hasn’t been promoted properly and is going to crash hard. Look at the rampant selling!!! Did Vince forget to budget some of that cash for advertising? Feels like it.
Vince’s idea is that after three seasons he can negotiate a sweet TV deal to recoup his losses?
What if ratings are crap and it’s dumped after one season again? Vince loses $375 million dollars? His ego associated with running a football league might be his Achilles heel.
Si', amigo.
"We make movies" ---VKM
2020 will be "Where it all begins, Again."
The state of the company is strong.
Vince will come through. Still more entertaining than the rigged/ poorly officiated NFL product.
Not just saying this because my IRA got f*cked on Friday, but they did have a better product when I saw them at Sunnyside Gardens in the 70;s!!!!! Holding bag now Vince!!!!!!
NFL officiating ? I always wondered about them. Is that part of WWE ?
Wow, please tell me Santa Clause isn’t fake too
LOL....Wrestling's been staged since forever. Basically live action comic books. Acrobatic, but lousy acting.
NFL ? Dunno.
"...Somebody just told me wrestling is all staged, fake, scripted, just like the NFL. Is that true ?...
Somebody just told me wrestling is all staged, fake, scripted, just like the NFL. Is that true ?
Never bet against a McMahon.
Lol.
But for real, maybe another correction down will happen, or maybe not. We will have to see.
I own shares again now as of $48 and change, I did long, long, long ago in the days where the yield on divy was 5-7%. So it's fun to be back.
This is a big shakeup for sure, pretty shocked by it, but, then again, not...
Vince McMahon bets on himself and constantly re-invests in that capital. Others are not accustomed to such behavior. It's been happening for decades & he always comes out on top, and it usually starts right after people decide he's "done". "Defeated, finally".
But it never happens quite that way, and he comes back out on top.
I'll listen to the earnings call this coming week. Since I have a stake now.
As for what happens, maybe Linda is back. Maybe Shane is back in an executive role. Who knows.
Maybe brand new people but I doubt it.
This is a consolidation. All is well.
Aimho & glta.
The pps went up to $100 bc of the multi billion dollar Fox TV deal for smack down. That hyped it up to that level. Now they just let go two executives who have been with them for over 10 years as well as lowered their guidance for earning. There is also a notion that WWE will start spending more money investing in the company. Investors don’t like uncertainty
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wwe-executive-exits-spook-analysts-143700718.html
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/wall-street-slams-wwe-following-151550477.html
Why was it $100? The Network is awesome and was first to the market, never in debt, global expansion into new markets, talked about in news favorably to own...everyone was on board.
But then. Where is that dividend Vince? How can this remain here as an investment stock with a dividend drawing half a percent?
Then comes AEW. Saudi Arabia. Vince sells some for XFL. The bailing begins.
This is different than the last time XFL happened. The last time the stock burst upwards leading up to first week then tanked.
This time it’s tanking before the first snap. What if it becomes a laughing stock again?!? Does the stock becomes laughable as well?
Comments anyone?
Seriously, what has changed or is different now in how they are doing this that thinks it won’t be the same unattended and watched disaster?
Now that I reflect, this is going DOWN.
Dividend is .48.
PPS is $24 when that’s a 2% yield.
Also, just an opinion. But if Drew McIntyre pins Lesnar, the stock loses 5% the next day. McIntyre is NOT a main event face guy. Upper mid heel. Forcing it isn’t going to draw.
Lesnar was the UFC champ. If he didn’t job to Ambrose, he definitely shouldn’t to Mcintyre. In this fan’s opinion.
Also, XFL in SIX days and I don’t see squat on TV about it! Not a single ad online or anywhere!
Yes, one more correction to 30ish IMO.
Dividend hasn’t moved. Ever. IMO they aren’t suddenly raising it with the uncertainty of the XFL and potential losses there.
Which wouldn’t be bad except, it’s .48 per share! Still less than 1%.
P/E also still WAY high, even after bloodletting.
I’m betting on one more correction down brother.
I feel good about buying the blood on the street today.
I'd like to think Linda & Shane will be coming back on board soon (BOD & as exexutives) but who knows. I see them incredibly well-positioned for 2020 as a whole. I think divy will get increased thb. But I think today was a big ol overreaction& dow being down so big helped bring it down even more. Glad I bought, I officially have shares again for first time in long, long time.
Never bet against a McMahon.
aimho & glta
Wow, I'm shocked Barrios is gone. I think this is a big overreaction though. We will have to see what happens.
Dividend safe. Stock getting pummeled.
P\E is still 115, but XFL approaches!
Let’s hope this stock doesn’t tank. We really need this contract of revs for wwe and the vrus to be successful long game. Spot on assessment.
It's funny bc I hadn't looked at this board in awhile till last night, & re-read my post.
Tonight, I'd say I was pretty spot on re: Donnie.
This is what we call a paradigm shift, as moxley might say lol.
Quanni will likely be dead by Monday morning.
I run all things presidential thru the "Teddy filter" as I call it.
And he would not be done yet.
And I doubt Donnie is either.
The Ayotollah is lucky to still be breathing.
Natural causes will likely be his end, quite soon.
As for the others, expect the same fate as those at the airport. There is a lot more to this, & it may be best general public doesn't know what they had planned. But it was bad. They shall die as a result. there will be no war
Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Per the Archives building in DC, the statue out front. Which is beautiful.
We are not done.
The world will be better for this, & is long overdue.
Aimho, per the Teddy filter.
Legit bruh. I was thinking similar but not that deep.
You’re not factoring in the Dubai deal
XFL could be a bump in the road. We’ll see how take 2 fares...
2020 will be their strongest year ever in my biased non-humble opinion. I would not be surprised if divy increases at some point, the cash will be there.
News: $WWE How Safe Is WWE and Its Dividend?
Fans of WWE (NYSE: WWE) have nothing to worry about for five years. The company has locked in television revenue for that period, which should keep it steadily profitable (and able to pay its dividend) over that time frame pretty much no matter what else happens to its business. That's...
Read the whole news WWE - How Safe Is WWE and Its Dividend?
Seems we are in a very bullish trend. Charts look very good at the moment. Going higher today. Will we see the mid $60s again soon?
It might need to go below 50 briefly first psychologically before recovery starts.
Broad markets should get a downturn soon, Dow is outside of upper Bollinger & that doesn't last for more than a couple days.
I think Wwe have guidance that network numbers would be down next quarter, but I think just the opposite, & they will get a good boost shortly from takeover & survivor series.
The Saudi situation should get cleared up soon as well.
I don't think 100 is coming back anytime soon, but 70s may by end of year. 2020 will be their strongest year ever imo.
We need some news/clarifications to get this out of the downward funk.
Nice day but am not buying unless the SA situation is cleared up. I can not fathom VKM taking them back there unless they are fully paid up, & I don't think they are. There's several months till the next show, but if they are not paid up by end of November, I'd sue the F out of them in federal court for breach. Not to mention in the public forum, they are lucky this didn't turn into an international problem. I have a feeling we will never fully know what happened last week, but it was unacceptable behavior by SA, & VKM doesn't tend to take kindly to that. I'd actually be scared sh**less of him, if I were them after the stunts they pulled last week. Jmho
The PR put out late yesterday is very odd imo.
They've already been doing 2 shows a year so far (in '18 and '19)
so it contained no real information of note.
This says a couple things to me without saying it directly, all IMHO.
1. 'the kingdom' was in fact being significantly difficult with getting $$$ to WWE (bad move). Upon being approached on it, they were shady about it.
2. VKM did in fact pull the plug on the event airing live in SA.
3. the kingdom did in fact 'hold' talent and employees for a ridiculous amount of time.
4. The kingdom paid them at least $50M last week, and likely much more to 'catch up' though they are still likely behind.
Nothing new was said in the PR, it was for investor confidence, because this deal is causing big problems now.

Looks like we will see a bump up this morning. Up $2.64 in pre-market trading. I grabbed some early expecting it to move higher with the bell.
Trump, and VKM, are scared of no one.
I watched Trump's announcement on killing the Isis dude.
Made it very clear that multiple countries were told "hey, this is happening, and, in the event you interfere, we will annihilate you in a matter of minutes, no problem".
I wouldn't fuck with Trump, and I wouldn't fuck with VKM.
Whatever happened at the airport, was BS. And had VKM not already left, which I think they made sure they knew that he was already gone, it would have become a serious problem. I would not be surprised if Trump was on the phone with someone that day.
Something wasn't right at the show. I've watched some of these folks for many, many years. I know when they feel rattled. The women's match, no. Forced to wear t-shirts, right before they went out. They broke the deal on the bodysuits being fine. That's BS.
On the money, I dunno, from what I gather, they owed more than 100M, and paid part of it late last week. The rest needs paid this week, and maybe it has been now, I don't know.
It needs to be publicly ironed out, and quickly.
I'm 100% in favor of the shows. I want kids, and adults for that matter, anywhere, in the world, to be exposed to wrestling. IF SA fucks with talent, or with the company's money, the deal is off, and VKM is more than wise enough to sue the F out of them in a US Federal Court, and, in case people aren't aware, VKM doesn't lose. Ever. LOL.
Trump favors/fears the Saudis WAY more than VKM.
https://www.ringsidenews.com/2019/11/04/saudi-arabia-considering-pulling-out-of-wwe-deal/
Saudi deal falls and PPS is $30 in two weeks where it belongs with that paltry .48 per year. Ridiculous.
I would agree with that. 52 week low today. It could crack below 50 psychologically, I dunno. But probably not for long if it needs to do that.
I'm unclear what is going on with the Saudi deal, and if they paid up adequately last week. Apparently were f'ing with things, though may have made a $50M payment, though I think still owe a lot more. That is a big question mark right now.
I would not F with VKM, they will learn that quickly if haven't already.
He will sue the F out of them in NY federal court if needed, or they will live up to the deal and pay out for what WWE has already done for them, and liquidated damages for future shows if those don't happen. That's my opinion I suppose, but what would happen if they are attempting to screw him.
Either way, what happened last week won't be happening again. And these folks need to realize how quickly an international situation can arise when you attempt to play games with a businessman the caliber of VKM.
The President is a phone call away.
