Jonathan M. Ansell, one of the founders of the company that is now Mondial Assistance USA, is the President and CEO. Jon is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the company and managing the performance of all of the U.S. subsidiaries, including Jefferson Insurance Company. He is also a member of the executive management board of the Mondial Assistance Group (Paris) and is responsible for overseeing the Mondial companies in North and South America.
Prior to Mondial, Jon was the Director of Strategic Planning and New Business Development for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield. In that role, he was responsible for the development and management of the test market plan which launched the travel insurance company. He is also a co-founder of the U.S. Travel Insurance Association and served for three years as its first president.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the Wharton Health Care Association, and is actively involved in the Mondial Assistance “World of Good” program, which promotes the company philosophy of making a difference in life through providing assistance and solving problems. The company regularly recognizes outstanding members of the local community who share those values.
