I just picked up 67k shares <<<<Good buy..Dollars for pennies IMO
I just picked up 67k shares for one simple reason-I think this is the only stock I have and Cork doesn't lol..
Same here, I wish I had the spare funds.
It was anyhow. Great for those with dry powder.
Sucks to be out though!
GLTA !!
Looking much better this morning.
Looking a little better this morning as we get closer to the 15th here.
Yes I think you are right about the price per share at .40 this year, I know it is impossible to predict the future but following the critical path of mining plays is important. There are some geo reports that should come out soon from last years work. There is one set of grab samples to come back from the assay office, so we should get a press release out of that to tell us how many targets there are. There is also some Uranium gieger reports to be released as well. My understanding is that very soon they are going to do a large grab sample exploration with a large group of geologist samplers to determine the number of outcropings there are, this will be followed up by an extensive drill program as soon as black fly season is over... about July so by Septemeber we should have a 200 meter drill program coming out of the assay office. That drill program is the company maker and will take away all speculation and will be the start of the proven reserves report, that report should be enough to joint venture with a major or for this company to find easy funding for an ongoing year round drill program.
The areo-magnetic flyover late last year on this property shows about 8 targets that need to be defined to depth. It will just take one target to make a company, so it does not take much imagination to realize why some long term heavy weight mining investors are sitting with restricted shares for a long term hold
Doubloon makes some compelling points. I have a small position here right now, but will probably add next week. To be sure, this one is highly speculative, but the payoff could be immense.
GLTA!
I am here with you as well.
Investors either find this one before the fund managers or they don't, it's that simple.<<<<<<<Great DD Doubloon..OK,I'm convinced..Loading this week for a full position..2010 will be huge for PM's and WOLV..Predicting 10 bags (.40 )or better for 2010..
Whoever painted the tape today--my heartiest congratulations. I'm almost even. HA!
queuing up for .035 as I need to ave down. first purchase at .057 which was fortunate and weird as my buy order was .06 but filled at .057
I just picked up another 10k at .037 and now that .037 is the ask.
I picked up a few at .04, but now I want the .03s.
Sheesh, this is a 50 percent pullback from the highs.
.035 x .04 Oh boy here we go! Could be another buying opportunity.
GLTA !!
bruce they are showing 1 million shares at .0475 LAFC has 500k and nite has 500k
would love to chew through those but it is doubtful, besides they will start to do the market maker dance as soon as volume comes in.
It is not too many that they are willing to sacrifice at this level unless of course they are one of the five minute traders from the new breed now a days.
Level 2 shows only ONE MM @ .0475 between us a $1.01..Wonder how many shares they have?
I'm glad to be in this with the crew we got too bruce.
No termites !
I don't mean to disparage the doobies, but you can't hit 4 digit appreciation (twice last year, and the EX is loving it now), settling for a couple hundred percent.
Congrats to those that did though.
As I like to say, nobody ever went broke taking a profit! GL bruce
GLTA !!
Actually though bruce you do have some that have gotten in below the two cents point and i personally have flipped 75% of my original shares to the point the ones I own now are less then .015 cost basis in the account now.. lol
Anybody that was smart enough to get in on the ground floor should be smart enough to hold past a lousy double. <<<<100% is a lot to some and not enough for others..You're a big baller Cork..I'm just glad to be in another stock with you and this crew..
I think the market has gained a fifteen minute mentality here lately. I have seeen a many stocks with great news falter before the news and have no one buy them because of skepticism is growin higher on the iHUB.
Take stock wuith the eps 8 times the share price and people are dumping it back down to the same price as the eps two days after they get in.
It is the worst for the five minuters and we need to get some Viagra for stock prices for these hit and run players.
Nice going diz, I think we got a good buy there.
I can't figure it out.
This hasn't been trading all that long.
Anybody that was smart enough to get in on the ground floor should be smart enough to hold past a lousy double.
Kind of like the Pilgrim's Pride folks that got in at the bottom.
Wonder how smart they felt getting their dub at .30ish?
Last I saw it was over 8 bucks per share LoL! GL thedizzle.
GLTA !!
that is weird... I'm glad I picked up some of those shares sold @ .04
There was not that much buying volume under .04 from the beginning so anyone selling in this price range does not understand mining or does not understand the potential of the story,, so best they go now so that the rest of us can ride the next wave.
Placing bid buys and waiting is the sign of a good trader, but only when there is selling volume, if the selling volume dries up might just as well hit the ask because it is about to heat up.
Placing GTC stinky bids is a chance to get some real cheapies and you can explain it away by saying you are providing bid support.
I would much rather follow the story, and the story here is the drill bit going down the throat of the most promising find on this property in early spring, the drill bit never lies and that is the company maker.
The .04's are a temporary blip.................up we go soon enough................hopefully the Wolverines wont interfere with the mining...................
Nice going bruce! I say get the best price you can for the initial "in."
I got lucky with some of those .04's too, although it was averaging down from my first buy.
I apologize to the rest of the board for making everybody's stock go down.
Always seems to happen right after I Buy LoL! GL bruce.
GLTA !!
Sell just before big news LoL!
Go figure! <<<<<I must confess..Those .04's and 0401's were tasty! Most of those sells were my buys..Those were my first buys into the stock and I came in on the bid..I have about 3 or 4 k left on the order then I will behave and buy at the ask from now on..I promise
Interesting trading pattern today.

Makes sense. (?!?)
Sell just before big news LoL!
Go figure!
GLTA !!
Geez Dabloom, I thought you liked cougars. LOL.
Doberman: (O.T.) The wolverine is one of the most ferocious fighters out there, they will not stand down if cornered and can take on a full grown dog with ease, not to mention a human. There are three animals I fear when wilderness camping, grizzlies, cougars and wolverines. We are not the top of the food chain, even though as humans we are so smug about the world we live in.
Like a who eating a cat? A picher? Is that a native species common to Canada? LOL.
LOL Kinda like a picher eating a cat is it not. LMAO
Weazel family? Not the most noble of beasts!
These opportunistic eaters also feed on carrion—the corpses of larger mammals, such as elk, deer, and caribou.
One fact you forgot;
In the movie Red Dawn, the high school's mascot was a wolverine, lol.
Thats great
Thanks for the nice diversion in the day. It is always good to take a minute and slow down sometimes.
Some more Wolverine facts
The wolverine is a powerful animal that resembles a small bear but is actually the largest member of the weasel family.
These tough animals are solitary, and they need a lot of room to roam. Individual wolverines may travel 15 miles (24 kilometers) in a day in search of food. Because of these habitat requirements, wolverines frequent remote boreal forests, taiga, and tundra in the northern latitudes of Europe, Asia, and North America.
Wolverines eat a bit of vegetarian fare, like plants and berries, in the summer season, but this does not make up a major part of their diet—they are tenacious predators with a taste for meat. Wolverines easily dispatch smaller prey, such as rabbits and rodents, but may even attack animals many times their size, such as caribou, if the prey appears to be weak or injured. These opportunistic eaters also feed on carrion—the corpses of larger mammals, such as elk, deer, and caribou. Such finds sustain them in winter when other prey may be thinner on the ground, though they have also been known to dig into burrows and eat hibernating mammals.
Males scent-mark their territories, but they share them with several females and are believed to be polygamous. Females den in the snow or under similar cover to give birth to two or three young each late winter or early spring. Kits sometimes live with their mother until they reach their own reproductive age—about two years old.
Wolverines sport heavy, attractive fur that once made them a prime trapper's target in North America. Their fur was used to line parkas, though this practice is far less common today and the animals are protected in many areas.
J i am glad to have Doubloon and his friends also as the minings are frustrating with out a good helper that knows that sector well.
We have a great start here and we will all learn thru this in the future mine stocks.
Dave
Thank you to the moderators for taking time to reply. I understand it now that it's about taxes.. I'm also in KATX (with a much bigger position) and i'm looking forward to building up my portfolio with WOLV. I'm sort of stalking all the moderator messages as I really have no clue on investing with mining/exploration companies. Still learning and it's all very exciting.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for explainiung that. I started but could not get the correct terms from my peabrain to the post. lol It started out ok but them became a message that looked like it could not be understood even by me. lol
Needed a better translator to get it to english. weeee
I've spoken to Richard Haderer. Really nice guy.
jayree: that was a good question, basically it is an accounting term for using the properties as a liability rather than an asset to ease the tax burden;
This is from the 10-Q The Company accounts for income taxes using the asset and liability method in accordance with SFAS No. 109, “Accounting for Income Taxes”. The asset and liability method provides that deferred tax assets and liabilities are recognized for the expected future tax consequences of temporary differences between the financial reporting and tax bases of assets and liabilities, and for operating loss and tax credit carryforwards. Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured using the currently enacted tax rates and laws that will be in effect when the differences are expected to reverse. The Company records a valuation allowance to reduce deferred tax assets to the amount that is believed more likely than not to be realized. As of August 31, 2009 and 2008, the Company did not have any amounts recorded pertaining to uncertain tax positions.
For clairity on this issue and further research I would suggest calling
Bruce Costerd (604) 295-0249 or
Richard Haderer (403) 275-4461
well I hope today gets us back in the .06's...great opportunity for cheapies!
Doubloon, jfmurk, got some yesterday at .057 and looking to pick up some more at .04. Have a question on interpreting the 10Q, I have highlighted the text... what does it mean when they wrote off the investment due to uncertainty of establishing proven and probable reserves? TIA
3. Mineral Properties
a) On February 27, 2007, the Company entered into a vend-in agreement whereby they agreed to acquire a 90% interest in four mineral licenses in central Labrador, Canada, comprised of 516 mineral claims covering an area of 33,111 acres. On February 28, 2007 the Company issued a $34,000 promissory note and 34,000,000 in common shares with a fair value of $340,000 to acquire this 90% interest. The purchase price included a total of $26,100 in refundable staking security deposits. These deposits were refunded to the Company in February 2008. As at May 31, 2009, the Company wrote off the mineral property acquisition costs of $348,000 due to the uncertainty of establishing proven and probable reserves.
Under the terms of the vend-in agreement, the Company is committed to incurring mineral exploration expenditures of approximately $151,000 (Cdn$150,000) on or before March 1, 2008 (spent), $156,719 (Cdn$171,615) on or before March 1, 2009, and $195,899 (Cdn$214,519) on or before March 1, 2010 with the provision that any excess amount spent in one year may be carried forward and applied towards fulfilment of the expenditure requirements of a later year. As at August 31, 2009, the Company has spent $221,898 (Cdn$242,989) on exploration expenditures. These expenditures also qualify as exploration expenditures under the terms of the Company’s mineral exploration licenses.
On August 27, 2009, the vend-in agreement was amended in that the optionor has agreed to waive the remaining required work commitments on the mineral properties subject to the Company incurring sufficient exploration expenditures on the properties to keep them in good standing with the local government.
b) On May 17, 2007, the Company purchased a 90% interest in one mineral license in central Labrador, Canada, comprised of 6 claims covering an area of 371 acres for $329 (Cdn$360). As at May 31, 2009, the Company wrote off the mineral property acquisition costs of $321 due to the uncertainty of establishing proven and probable reserves.
c) The mineral exploration licenses on the Company’s properties are for a term of five years commencing at various dates from August 18, 2006 to May 17, 2007. These licenses may be renewed every five years for up to a maximum of twenty years provided annual assessment work is completed and reported, and license renewal fees of $23 (Cdn$25), $46 (Cdn$50) and $91 (Cdn$100) per claim are paid after five, ten and fifteen years, respectively. In order to maintain the property in good standing, the Company is required to spend from $183 (Cdn$200) per claim in the first year to $1,096 (Cdn$1,200) per claim in the twentieth year.
Here for awhile, tip of the iceberg so far
Dabloom,
You are a bottom feeder! I've cast my nets down there too, just in case I catch me some of those stray .05's.
