That was a lot of shares for $500. Can't go wrong, worse case is that he doubles his investment....but he will do much better than that in the long run. I have watched our stock run up to 1/2 penny with no news anywhere. Now I am just waiting like everyone else for the train.
my friend bought 100,000 shares about a month ago at .0005 or so
lindo
Doinit....if we come in at .10 - .20 and jump to .50....I will be happy. I stocked up heavily when the stock tanked two years ago and now this will get me payback to some degree at the above levels. Whatever happens, we will benefit. Just wish I had enough $$ to buy back in now from anyone who is selling at these low prices. You can pick up a lot of shares for a little bit of money...!!
long time waiting with this one, just might be worth the wait !!!!!
Yes GoFy....we will see some payback one day. Wonder where Lucknut and a few other regulars went..? Right now it is only you, me, and Lindo.
I've been here too long to sell, are you kidding. I took a lighter licking than you, and acquired a ton at .00025. So here is to better times old friend.
Well GoFy....I remember the last reverse merger...never really executed fully with Lightyear Network...but was in process when the financial markets crashed. So I would expect something similar, but of course I can only speculate after chatting with some guys who lost over $1 million. So when these guys speculate about mergers of any type, it makes me feel good to know that even if it was a reverse merger, where a non-public company merges with Wherify being public, they get on the Exchange, and our stock begins to take value again. Not sure what you dropped in $$, but I am out $350k. Yes, I said $350k....so I am happy as hell that our stock is still alive and will resurface in a merger of some nature. My wife will never ever ever forgive me for this loss...!! But we are still married despite it all.....otherwise I would be living in a closet right now. Hahaha...keep the faith, we will see a comeback. And don't give away any of your shares for free. This stock should hit 10.0 cents on opening, my estimate.
Reverse merger, that's what we went through years ago with this thing under a different name. How can long time holders be expected to be excited about another reverse split. Just lead me through this bilachos just to make me feel good about the end result. You know how long I've been here and can guess my position
Yes Lindo, I always wondered what happened to Bilsbro....I guess he just faded away. We will see another day here, always just my opinion, have to say that, but after I have spoken to serious investors who lost serious $$....they say to look for another day in a merger of some sort...reverse merger maybe, something like that. So, I believe them because they lost 3 X my loss.
bilachos- remember bilsbro - ?? think he's holding out? and we've been over this a million times - but why is this stock even listed????? so - yes - your theory is hopeful .... a friend of mine BOUGHT 100,000 shares a few weeks ago .... we couldn't believe it actually executed .....
lindo
To All Wherify Investors......some type of Merger will take place, don't sell your shares of stock. In my opinion, we should see two companies come together, Wherify, publicly traded, and a private company to merge "into" Wherify. This is my strong strong speculation based on prior Investor discussions. So just continue to hold your shares and don't sell to anyone for any price right now.
trust me - I'm well aware of "what's going on in mexico" ... we spent 7 days in Guadalajara in March and saw/experienced NO intimidation of ANY sort from anybody - in MY town (Stockton CA) baggie pants; gang colors; attitude are much more intimidating.
AND - yes - even on the outskirts of GDL there was a mass shooting (23 dead) in a nightclub at 4 AM
Juarez digs app 70 "graves" a week and fills them ...
All's well - I'll send you a 'it's me' to belachos@hotmail and we'll see if you get it
paz
Your son is lucky to make it out ALIVE.....I guess you read about the 6 headless bodies in Acapulco....and all the trouble in Juarez and the impact the Zetas are having on the people, their own people, and any insane American who would venture across the border...
Lindo....just checked my 482 Junk Mail entries....No Lindo to be found...
Lindo.....I never received any email to belachos@hotmail.com
Can you resend..? Maybe it went to Junk Mail and got deleted by the Spam finder..
Sorry...
Belachos
AND - to continue the circle - my son made to to Santa MOnica from Guadalajara in his piece of crap '98 Corolla; and will return home to mom and dad tonight (after 55 weeks)! HIs mexicana fiance will arrive Oakland airport midnight thursday - her first time out of Guadalaura! (except for their trip to Juarez for the visa ... google Juarez Mx if you want to read about death) .... and this coming weekend we will be planning a wedding in October! wow!
I thought that I was being too social for this highly involved financial board and you sent me to your hotmail acct - I promptly sent you a message at hotmail and you never replied ...
Just knowing that I've been missed has helped me with my sense of rejection which has led to a deep depression ...
But , now .. I'm baaack baby!!!!
I keep wondering if I should "load up" with a gazillion shares for fifty-bucks - .... a dime would be damned attractive!
Nice to know I'm a wanted man - Lindo
To all of my old long buddies, we are still in the game. Our stock remains alive and in some type of merger or acquisition mode....do many of you remember two years ago or so when I told you to hold your stock as some type of merger would take place...well that was when Lightyear Solutions merged with Wherify....no one believed me, the stock ran to .10 a share...then fizzled due to lack of financing. Expect to see the same pattern except higher price once a similar merger takes place....I certainly don't know who or when, but old investors tell me that this is underway....this is not a pump and dump scenario...my advice to current stockholders is don't sell one share or give any of your stock away....we will see some payback finally one day here. Hang in there....don't sell your stock to anyone.
Lindoman......what happened to you. You jumped ship. Never heard from you....still singing on the weekends..? I just put a inquiry out today to check on our stock and merger....waiting for reply and will advise upon receipt. Again, I have no Inside Connection, just speculation (strong) by the heavy investors like myself.
I know some of the heavy investors who are waiting to see a resurface on this stock. I do not know any of the principals in any way. But the heavies seem to know that the company will resurface and merge.
In order to merge several years ago they were to pay off 18 mil in debt. It did not happen and here we are today. Correct me if I'm wrong bilachos. You seem to have an inside to wfyw.
Doinit....I wish I knew what the delay was all about. Only thing I can think of is that WFYW carried substantial debt prior to the slowdown, and that debt is still there. So, whoever merges with them has to accept that debt as part of the merger. This is my opinion.
Lindo.....we can chat offline sometime. My email is belachos@hotmail.com
Shoot me a message when you have time. We can share personal life stuff apart from this board. Thx.
there be lot's of co.'s to merge with, lot's of good ones , so what's with all this delay !!!!!!!
AND - did I mention as a "co-sponsor" of this Mexicana I'm sending 3 years tax returns; letter from employer re salary and standing; verification of bank accounts/amounts/average daily balances etc; possibly 401/403 info; home appraisal and mortgage/ and maybe even "pension and social security" (I'm 61 and probably retiring at 66, although I really like doing this thing called "work") .... AND the "fiance immigration interview" is in Juarez just south of El Paso, the most dangerous area in all of Mexico! this is OUR govt etc... ugh! And yes, the two of them wil live in our house for a week or a month or two; it'll be great for a day and a half 'til we're arguing about "noise/mess/etc" .. (just kidding); she's never been more than a 3 hour drive from Guadalajara; she's a Masters Degree (100% on her boards) research chemist; phlebotomist; has worked in a few labs etc; speaks no english; beautiful (can we post pics here??) and takes home the equivalent of $2.25/hr. My bi-lingual son teaches english and makes $8/hr! (he was offered a job by the mexican govt to start their "environemntal assessment programs" (i.e. water and soil testing; recommendations; etc .. he is a geology/biology guy, CalTech Pasadena ((proud dad)); AND he'd make a GREAT salary in Mexico (about $30K American per year) ... so he's thinking down the road of MAYBE heading back in that direction and becoming the pioneer in the field in mexico .. he's WELL prepared re his past work experience ...
whew! this "anonymous" email is great! thanks for pretendinginterest in my mundane life! And you?????
For sure the older guy is better off home and safe in the USA vs. Guadelara.....lot's of folks turning up dead these days....it's no wonder you are counting the days before he is home. Glad for you and your wife, worry factor diminished.
re: leg/injury; started antibiotics 5 days ago; ugh! painful etc; and bearable (remember, I work in cancer services, so when it comes to minor health issues ....)
this last weekend busy - highlight was worldfest.net in Grass Valley ...
update: younger son and his soon to be betrothed found an apartment in Santa Monica (reduces his commute by an hour); Oldest engaged son in guadalajara heard from the Consular and she will have her "fiance immigration interview" first week or two of August - he's coming home! we're thrilled.
dad
Lindo...another great post...!! Sorry to hear of your injury, hope you are well on your healing way by now. Your doctor friend is dead right.....we are all on the Outbound Train, all the drugs in the world can only delay the inevitable. As for Wherify, we remain in the "wait" game. But it will be worth the wait one day when they merge. As for Gold...too late now. Flat at best, I too should have jumped in earlier, but did not. Can't afford that level...still pumping myself full of oxygen from the WFYW hit.
GOLD
My friend put a ton in gold at $900; at $1,100 he told me to get in; at $1,300 he told me to get in; now almost $1,600 and I'm not in ...
So, while playing hide and seek in a fountain with stepping stones with my yorkie poo at Levi Plaza just off Embarcadero in SF, I proceeded to fall (yes, I was running on water and rocks in Crocs) and severely injured my shin (scraped almost down to bone); while partially in shock and feeling absolutely no pain, my wife finally found me with my leg in a fountain of dirty cold water; she ran to the levi bldg and asked for a first aid kit; the security guard pulled out a flair and a pair of plyers; finally she found guaze and a bandage; a bag of ice from a restaurant; and Italian tourists with "antiseptic wipes" ....
That ended our bike-ride down to Fisherman's wharf; so we sucked it up; put the bikes on the back of the Civic; and had pizza and salad outdoors in the heart of North Beach (not a bad way to suffer); it's been 11 days, 80% healed, (lots of cleansing/antibiotic ointment) continuing to monitor for infection - no true medical intervention unless you want to consider my good friend Rich, MD ( the gold guy mentioned above) who ran an ER for 25 years; but being the atheistic jewish doctor that he is his consistent mantra is "we're all going to die and there really nothing medicine can do" -
And hope all is well with you two, too! Lindoman!
Not to worry GoFy....I was plenty riled when the whole ship sailed in a different strategic direction than intended several years ago. When I recently asked the general question as to whether this stock was "dead" or "alive"....I was told that the principals are still working on a merger situation. There are many small privately held companies out there who don't qualify to trade publicly, so it is an easy "ride" to hook up with a company who is already trading publicly. This is our hope for a new Wherify. And since I was told that the principals had not given up the ship yet, I was satisfied to at least know my investment was not totally dead. The people I have spoken with are fairly knowledgeable....so no one is stroking me. And that is where we are....I don't know how long it will take to find the right company to merge with....and I don't care....as long as no one decides to pronounce Chapter 11 and shut down our investment. And that hasn't happened yet...!!
Bilachos, the eternal optimist, I was shocked to learn the word "lost" was in your vocabulary. I just wanted to rile you a bit. We are all waiting for this ship to come in and "recover" on our "investment".
Well GoFy.....when it is no longer in your account, it is lost until it comes back home. I own a million shares of stock right now.....so I hope we all see recovery. But I use the term "lost" because the greenstuff has evaporated.....!!
You dropped $350,000 and "lost" doesn't speak so well for you belachos. If your believe in this thing as you profess you do, then you can't say "lost". If you have inside info , all power to you but your last comment leaves the question ???
Lindo baby...if you have to worry about dropping a couple hundred bucks on a risk....don't do it. I dropped $350k....and lost. So a couple hundred bucks is a speck in the universe. But if that spec has meaning to you, don't do it. From a risk standpoint, if you can pick up some volume for such little money, probably worth the risk....like I said earlier, $100 is one hand of blackjack for me in Atlantic City.
my real and only dilema re wfyw is whether to try to purchase another 100,000 shares for a few hundred dollars .....
IF I truly 'believed' that there was a 50% chance of this thing hitting 5 cents I'd be nuts NOT to do it .... advice????
Lindo.....I can always count on you for a good mix of comedy, satire, religion and now.....Norman Rockwell visions to boot...ha ha ha...!!
My personal hope in a WFYW revival comes from knowing that the principals have not given up and walked away. It becomes a matter of partner choice. I understand that they are looking at prospective partners who are successful private firms who are looking to go public. And the products and services are synergistic.
I firmly believe that this stock would be off the market by now if there wasn't a focus on bringing it back to life in a new merger. So Lindo, how long is long..? Doesn't really matter now, just hold your stock. Don't toss it due to impatience. The light is still on in the lighthouse.
Replying to post on 6/12 "expect to hear more this week" ...
I've heard quite a bit, like "Day by Day"; "Autumn Leaves", "This Train Ain't Goin' Nowhere" and a few other obscure tunes ...
My money is in DDIC (got in at $4.30) and $7.50; sold a bunch at $11.50 and then got excited and bought a bunch at $11.75 (mistake); my good friend who has much more $$ than I bought a "ton" of gold at $900; and is considering putting his entire retirement pension into gold (he's a physician; palliative care; i.e. meets with patients and families that are in the throes of making difficult/complicated choices; burdens and benefits of medicine and all that crap) .. he's a practicing buddhist/meditator/mindfulness instructor and doesn't make much money - but has significant $$ in his pension fund as he ran the ER here for 25 years .... He and I discuss Greece and global implications - and US debt/pensions/social programs/costs of housing a prisoner versus schools going broke etc ... I love the guy and our rich conversations; but they lead me to alcohol as soon as I get home!!!! Happy 4th to you all; in my hospital for the first time we exempt employees are REQUIRED to take Friday off (we can code vacation etc) ; but this is very unusual ... times are tough in health care; especially in areas like central califoria where the payor-mix is horrible - straight medi-cal (we lose money on every patient); unisured that come through the ER; "illegals"; huuuge medi-care population and MANY families demanding "do every; Miracles happen; Jesus will wake him up" etc; while the humane thing to do is move to "comfort care" and "allow god to bring him home rather than standing in the way of the Lord's will" (religion is a huuuge topic and obstruction to good patient care) .... whew! that was fun
Happy 4th and Independence Day - independence, hmmm, funny concept in our country, as I assume you are aware of the 96 year old grandma that had her diaper searched by the TSA at an airport?? ok - back to breathing and gratitude - Life IS good!
paz - jimbo from stockton california (riding bikes saturday from the Ferry Building to GG Bridge (easy, flat, great sights, good food, dog in basket, wife happy as hell.... ) ....
Another Incredible Literary Masterpiece by the famous Lindo from London..!! Only an Englishman could write with such flair...congrats to London-lindo....new author just arrived in the motherland....perhaps the New Yorker or the Book Review Section of the N.Y. Times may pick you up for future article compilation. You certainly have a much more diversified life than mine Lindo-london. Keep it flowing.....how old is the Lindoman might I ask...?
West Coast living is top shelf. I owned a Townhouse in downtown Long Beach overlooking the center of town, sure do miss those days of greenstuff, long gone along with my 3 man partnership that is also dissolved. I miss California all the way around...have you spent any time on the Queen Mary in Long Beach yet..? Bigger than the Titanic. Filled with history. Winston Churchhill's room still marked with gold plate. They say you can smell his cigar smoke at times when passing by. Great ghost stories as well. Sir Winston's restaurant at the top also a great dining experience.
"cool dude" lindo is back; not sure I'm deserving of such an effusive moniker; I suppose for each of us we "can't see the forest" etc .. we're all simply doing the best we can with what we've got; and it defines our lives; occasionally I DO think about "my life as a movie" - i.e. if I were being followed by some helicopter filming my whereabout and antics... so we just got back from an activity filled 4 days in LA (about a 6 hour drive); Thursday took care of itself; Friday (son from Guadalajara flew in Thursday night); the 4 lindos and Hilary went to the proposed "wedding venue" site (about 6 miles in from malibu beach); very nice; I/we generously offered to pay the full 5-hour open bar tab (take some heat off the in-laws who live an outwardly wealthy life, but can't afford their own daughters wedding); then off to malibu and the 'crab shack' for lunch overlooking the ocean; friday night to the in-laws (jewish/smart/fabulous food; limited alcohol) and THEIR parents (87 y/o)- so of course we brought a "made up newly wed game" and "hosted and kept score" (the structure was appreciated by all and funny as hell); followed by the famous "lindo sing along" in which grandpa soloed on aint she sweet and let me call you sweetheart; the family was in tears.... saturday evening the "young'uns engagement party" - again, had a GREAT time; met/interrogated/interviewed each of the 40 "kids" there ... they loved it! - and MOnday today; an additional day off to mow the lawn; hit the gym; ride my bike to various markets looking for bargains (yes. I'm an old guy with a bungeecorded box to the back of my bike and a removeable wire basket on the front for my 10 pound yorkie/poo - Shamus - the love of my life! Great catching up..
some day I'll write a song about the three of US and post it! Lindo - just a man; wiht a boy inside ....
Hey doinit....not much else to report on beyond my Post # 673....that's current events.
Lindo is most likely the "coolest Dad west of the Mississippi"....just read his cool descriptives of life on all of his cool posts...!!
any rumors for next week !!!!!!
Happy Father's Day to all you " cool Dads" out there !!!
Gofy......secretaries are yesterday's news. I haven't had one in 10 years. They slow you down, answer your phone, interrupt you, try and focus you on priorities you don't need to be focused on......they are gone with the wind. Today's Exec takes care of everything himself. Travel, Meetings, Emails....Calendar maintenance....everything. I am 60 years old, won't retire until age 70. Most people guess me in at 42 years old. Try to stay in shape and keep up with my service contracts....don't live in Florida, live in NYC. That's it for now Gofy. As for Lindo, drop a $100 and pick up a 100,000 shares. I have lost that on one hand of blackjack...!!
Your math looks good.
A couple of moves down and we're at the level I got crazy at. I don't feel comfortable about this . Market makers may be trying to scare us out. There might be something to Bilachos predictions . I've been here to long to spook now.
That's very elementry cajun math.
didn't understand the "$1 two-forty-nine" reference
Embaress, sorry, I am embarrassed.
How dare you embaress Bilachos with you mathematics. His secretary handles anything over $1 two-forty-nine. Nothing heavy here please.
