Is it me? Any search I do today (lmmg cnes ex.) returns only messages thru 3/8 even though these stocks are mentioned today in many posts 3/9. Time warp? cause I'd sure like to go back and do cnes over today.
Tanks
Can anyone help me get my address bar back? I don't know where or why it went away but I can't find it.
I have a Dell Dimension 2400 with Windows XP Home edition, new in May 2004. There is a Google search bar where the address bar was and I don't know how it got there. I need my address bar back. Can't find a page address to copy and send to a friend. It may have something to do with my being old and disabled, but I hope not.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Paula,
The following is the text that I created as part of a complete IHUB Tutorial which Bob is currently working on integrating into the site somewhere soon.
MY FILTERS This category allows members to filter out communications from other members. It is important to be sure to click on "ENABLE FILTERS" in order for this feature to work. Type in the Member's User NUMBER that you wish to filter, NOT their alias/nickname. You can find the Member User NUMBER by clicking on the alias/nickname you wish to filter and view their profile.
I see that what needs added to this now is the following....
Once you are at the Members' Profile, simply VIEW the URL of tha profile to obtain the User Number. If you wish to remove that user from the filter in the future simply go in and remove that User Number on your "CRITERIA" Bar.
It was decided a while back that the term "IGNORE" was a negative word that IHUB prefers not to use for this situation and has chosen the word "FILTER" instead.
Hope this helps.
(EDIT: BOB: I have added the above text on the "working document")
How do you un-do it, and perhaps you should select a term that has clear negative implications. One could concievably filter a thread for those posters that were more pertinent also.
As a matter of fact, I have someone that I need to remove from "filter" and I don't know how to do it.
Is there an on/off toggle for the filter as in Yahoo?
Where on the site is the explaination of this device?
It's identical to the ignore feature found on other sites.
Can't find any info on how the "filter" works. Not on the FAQ. Is it a filter to isolate good stuff or to filter out bad stuff?
HI Ron, my thought is that if they are inclined to exhibit non-constructive anti-social behavior, then they should be given a TOU warning the first time and the punished for succesive TOU infractions.
I don't think they need any special treatment.
Are people migrating from RB and SI to here ?
Also -- as far as posting goes ...welllll I don't post much anywhere. I'm just tracking about a dozen stocks and posting on SI 4 stocks which don't seem to get much coverage anywhere but on Yahoo: DVID, TALK, SCLD, APT. Maybe I will start posting news on them here too.
Since earnings are still in decline and buying interest in equities is near zero, there's not much to say --- other than Bernard was right and I was wrong. I thought the 1998 bottom (NASDAQ 1300 - 1400) would hold. It didn't. I still say, and have said for over 2 years that the key to the bottom is low volume. The bear market will be over when there's little opportunity to make short term money -- long or short -- in the markets. Volume will drop down to 1995 - 1997 levels and slow accumulation will begin again.

My other online trading account is a mattress !
Hi Chris, good to see you posting here again. My intention in my previous post was to prevent all the turmoil that is associated with large numbers of posters comming from either RB or SI to Ihub! There seems to be a transistion period for them that can be fairly traumatic. I believe this is caused by the fact that our TOU is enforced, where theirs isn't. I feel it would help lessen the shock if there was some sort initiation done when they sign up. Thoughts??
Ron
Hi Ron,
I believe iHub has a thread called "The Jailhouse" that when a person is suspended, they can still post there.
I think if a person gets a TOU suspension, he should get an e-mail letting him/her know they can post in the jail. They should also get some TOU info in their suspension notice.
Take care,
Chris
My other online trading account is a mattress !
I'm posting this here to get more suggestions or opinions on the idea. I think it deserves serious consideration by Bob and Matt.
Considering the trouble we've had with several posters I'd like you to consider testing new people on the content of the TOU before they have posting priviledges. Then they should be warned that because of your system of moderators for each board that the TOU will be enforced. You could also instruct them how they can protest any post deletion. I know all of this is in the TOU, problem is new people think Ihub is just another message board that doesn't care how or what is said!
Ron
lol -- I decided to see if I could find the first board on iHub.
board_id = 1 did not exist, nor did 2 or 3 ...
But ....
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=4
You better create a thread entitled "Welcome to iHub !" and make it board_id = 1 pretty fast !
lol
Chris
My other online trading account is a mattress !
Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that many times the last post in a batch of 20 will be duplicated as the first post in the next batch of 20. It even has the same message number.
Trivial, I know, but everything else is working so well for me here that I had to mention it. :)

Matt and/or Bob, Pat Bateman can't get into IHUB this a.m., but says he's able to get into every other site he uses. I think he'd really appreciate some help. He's over at Zeev's old thread on SI. Poor guy sounds very lonely. Do you think you could help him out? TIA, augie.
(:

Depends on where the charts are coming from.
Yahoo sporadically blocks embedded pictures and that's where LD posts a lot of his. Stockcharts allows embedded charts, though...
Might just depend on what charts were posted where.
Just ask and it shall be done.
Matt, Bob,
I noticed recently that the pictures appear only sporadically. And there is no pattern to it. For example, this evening Larry Dudash posted some charts on his board and I did not see them. But he posted the same thing on Zeev's board and they were clear as daylight. Any thoughts? Is it something in my system?
Thanks,
JRH
What way is there to alter the thread title ? tia
Now Linking to another board
When I posted the last message here and then clicked on "What ain't Workin" I ended up at this board http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=5
Something is not working <GG> :^)
Good Luck to All! :^)
PLAN the TRADE and TRADE the PLAN!
Hi Matt,
I keep getting this board pop up from linking to the MKTSS board. What's up? TIA, Bob :^)
Good Luck to All! :^)
PLAN the TRADE and TRADE the PLAN!
Matt
I took the cookie and have not had a problem since.
Hope things work out for you here.
Ergo Sum
We are working on a solution to the problem...
Should notice a difference tonight.
Matt
Have to login, three or four times
What is it that drops?
If I go to favorites then select a thread with new messages, then start reading that thread, if I stop and later go back to favorites it shows 0 new messages which means if I start reading a thread I have to read all the new messages or lose my place. It would be much nicer if when you stop reading a thread without finishing it I-Hub would remember your place.
Tim
Can you change the misspelled "agressive" to "aggressive" on my thread?
Thanks,
Jack
Matt. When I go to chat the box is empty except for a little box in top left corner of box. Nothing else above it. Below box the info for downloading java is there. Ideas?
Excel - Greg
I'm working out of the box. The blue box that is.
Wonder how long until they force me to think/live/exist inside the pale blue box?
zam bam....
yes to all. I Left it open ended so we would have more flexibility.
Right now it's just a lexical sort. It's nice but it would be nicer if we could in our profile set a sort order or perhaps tag each board with the ability to sort on the fly.
What do ya mean..........
Like....
By date? By # of posts?
mb
ok i'm done for the night. Thanks for killing those boards. I wasn't sure what I had to do to kill them.
Anyways, here is a suggestion:
http://www.investorshub.com/beta/boards.asp?cat_id=##
replace ## with the category of interest (ie 19)
It would be nice if we could customize how they are sorted on the page.
Hi Matt,
R u using Netscape, or IE, or arachnid or some other engine?
I noticed you like toying with the BETA
You can pick a new one, just the 'blank' one didn't allow me or anyone else to click your profile
mb
HI Matt,
I see you renamed my user id....
bummer....
Actually, I just dreamt up an interesting concept..
You have a PM in a few seconds.
mb
Good luck with your endeavor.

First, I am a he.
The subject may be SEVU, but when the chairman of the thread attacks people for asking questions (printmail - Reg S) and makes personal attacks himself and deletes posts that don't violated the user's agreement and applies different standards to himself and those who disagree with him, when the bias is so strong in one direction, it can make one wonder if there is a connection between the stock and the person.
I believe the Format works reasonably well and that there is a definite need for a "Haven of Peace" for Posters prepared to behave as Gentlemen and Ladies...
You have not acted as a gentleman to the people who disagree with your bias. The reason that you like iHub is very apparent. It caters to your agenda.
But I will leave you and the thread in peace (as long as you don't feel the need to respond to this). I have no doubt that the management will continue to meet your needs and not be interested in meeting mine.
Hi Matt,
Just wanted to post these to you to show again that not everyone thinks they are getting a fair shake from the Chairman of the SEVU board. From what I have seen, there seems to be a double standard for the SEVU longs and the SEVU critics.
I really think that you ought to look at the possibility of changing your policy on having only a single thread per stock. This would make all of my arguments moot as someone who is dissatisfied with a chairman could activate a new board and would no longer have a complaint that they are being silenced.
When you have larger numbers of people come over here, this will show up as an issue for normal trading stocks as well. You will have the QCOM LTB&H types and QCOM traders and having them on the same thread will not be a productive discourse. And the prediliction of the chairman will win out so that one side is silenced while the other has a voice.

PB96 I asked FG the same question and he deleted my post... he likes to delete my posts it seems.. and then claims i am attacking him personally when i question something he says.. Im tired of it all.. and tired of a thred where as a person who questions a company and a known pump... as he has proven with his past posts all over raging bull.. you will be ddeleted .. this is not even fair.. post positive comments or lies about sevu or get deleted it seems..I want the answer to your question whcih i asked myself... IMHO!

HWGC..I am tired of a thread which cannot discuss both sides of an issue... thats what i am tired of.. i have the same right to find out the bad of a company and the problems as the good.. there has been alot of bad here, in SEVU because of lies and false projections which never occured.. but it seems unless i post only the good and false and guess posts..i get deleted or others do... Dont give me your crap ..im tired of it.. i want the hear everything about the compnay not being forced to abide by dictatorship in rules and non fair, uncomplying chairman and direcors who do not follow their own rules... FG said he has proof to back his claim of SIBOB as he bashed him.. but he wouldent supply the proof... I say the same as he says.. Put up or dont post.
Good start....
But I think that you are going to back yourself into a corner on this one. Any thread that has that many deletions in one day, and it is only the posts that are opposing the views held by the chairman of the thread, it should send a message to you.
You have a hard job ahead of you. If the traffic picks up on this site I can foresee a very busy IH Admin Matt
Ah, so quick of you to respond...
You ARE watching me good, eh?
I actually just deleted 1 post by the Chairman and restored 2 by other posters....
And I PMd the Chairman my reasons and asked that they be followed.
How's that for standards?
mb
Matt,
I read this message before it was deleted by the chairman of the SEVU board. I would like to hear your defense of this deletion.
http://www.investorshub.com/beta/read_msg.asp?message_id=50554
I have over 24000 posts on SI. A few of them are even about stocks. I just want to make sure that the next board that I land on has the same high standards as SI had in the first few years of its existence.
Here is another one by Francois. Notice that he demands proof from printmail even though Printmail has only asked questions? And Francois shows bias here again. And offers as proof that he talked to somebody and he trusts him...LOL!!!! Why don't the standards that he applies to others apply to himself???
Do you really want to use this guy as an example of a good moderator?

Printmail, we discuss matters CIVILLY on iHUB....
and I know your slant from reading some of your posts on RB... I'll discuss "REG S" shares with you when you bring me ABSOLUTE PROOF that they have been issued by SEVU... In the meantime I don't see the point talking about "ifs" and "buts", with the unstated aim of causing concern and fear among investors...
All I can tell you is that I met McBride on 3 occasions and that I brought up the "REG S" question... His answer was a categorical "NO" and I believed him because the man is certainly not a fool... Issuing this type of shares is a sure way to find your stock in the gutter, since they're usually substantially discounted and can be resold after 30 to 60 days...
Volume till the Shorting began was very light and the stock price stable between $8.00 and $12.00, or so, certainly no indication of cheap shares entering the Market... Once the shorting started and the Market tanked, nobody would buy "REG S" if they were available, so that's why I don't buy the story....

WOOOOO FG..
First, I was hoping that IHUB would offer me a better platform to speak my opinions and ask questions without the annoyance of always being bashed.
I have no proof that REG S shares have been issued, I dont think I said I had facts they had been issued? I was simply posing a question my friend
Is it true that REG S shares can be sold to oversea's investors without SEC filings? simple question?
Is it true that , IF, REG S shares have been issued SEVU would not have to legally report these shares to the SEC or its shareholders until sais shares were sold on the open market
FG, I would also like your opinion of additional shares being issued in the 4th qtr 2000? meaning: Is it your opinion that extra shares were issued?
Again, I am looking for some information on REG S shares in particular & the dilution issue.
