MECK (old WEBM).40 chart & DD:
Its time to get into this one again after recent news. Float is 3 million shares and the OS is 6 million shares. CEO is buying shares again and is letting people know on twitter that he is looking to buy blocks of shares if anyone has some to sell to him.
Any momo could send this past $5 with its tiny OS and Float. It has ran 100-200%+ in the past during times when the CEO is trying to buy large blocks of shares.
MECK acquired 3DPrint.com.
It is going to create the worlds first advertising network for the 3D printing industry. They will be producing a 3D Metal Printing magazine which the CEO says will soon be the largest print magazine readership worldwide.
The market cap for MECK is only about 2 million. Amazing potential here as revenue will increase dramatically next year. CEO owns nearly one third of the company and is still buying shares. He sold his first trade show business, that he started from scratch, for $280 million. He is highly successful in the trade show industry.
Dont follow it anymore.Between the dilution,r/s and Alan the great at the helm,it can only spell losses and bag holders....
One would think so.
Wouldn't that constitute market manipulation?
My guess is they are setting a three day price average for an upcoming equity purchase or CON/DEB
Probably just a squeeze
Any idea why MBIS - formerly WEBM - is up over 100% today?
Ok alan how long will it take you to run up the share count to 42 million again lol....Rinse wash repeat........

just from past press releases, the company has implied that the financials will not be as good as they will be in the upcoming months...IMO, they will be slightly negative with a neutral impact on the pps because of the Facebook IPO...
But I could be wrong...
What's your take on Financials being reported May 2 nd.
Good or Bad ?? TY
When it comes to the facebook ipo, WEBM and FFN will provide equal or greater gains to STVI imo...
ffn stock was used as a ATM machine for acquisitions,, they shelled out millions of shares since their ipo !!! if drops below $1.00 ,, than yes.
.. may have bottomed with the form 4s, filed.
so what about FFN....reverse split also?
its in the sec filings dummy..
More like b/s coming from you shorty. Go play play on the stvi board.
r/s coming,, ive been watchn this for months,, check out stvi for a Facebook ipo nplay coming in may..
Whats your take on this goofy trading?
Fortisgr:
Sorry for the late reply. For Q1, I earnings will be better than Q1 of last year but may be a little less than Q4 2011 (last quarter). WEBM has more trade shows in the Q2 & Q4 quarters so that's why revenue is usually a little higher in those quarters.
I'm not really in this one as a "earning's play". I'm in this because I like their business model. WEBM will eventually take off. Meckler just needs to keep coming out with new ideas that people like. I wish that they would create a site like a Facebook, Pintrest, Twitter, Craigslist, etc, that would eventually take off and make WEBM worth Billions of dollars.
Meckler almost bought Craigslist before it really took off. He also almost picked up Mashable. Both companies are worth a lot of money now, especially Craigslist.
WEBM news...could take off today with mention of Facebook!:

NEW YORK, Apr 19, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- WebMediaBrands Inc. (WEBM) today has announced the launch of Morning Social Media Newsfeed, a daily email compiling the most up-to-date social media news from around the world and AppNewser.com, covering the world of smartphone and tablet apps; from spotting the latest trends, researching apps that flourish in social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Spotify, to highlighting the most popular developers and exploring the boom of social gaming apps.
Additionally, AllFacebook.com, the number one resource about the social network, has undergone a redesign to better present and share breaking news, analysis and features all about Facebook. "WebMediaBrands has long been the leader in providing daily news, analysis, research, job boards and trade shows for the rapidly growing social media field," stated Alan M. Meckler, Chairman and CEO of WebMediaBrands. "We expect to shortly announce the launch of several new research products under the umbrella of Appdata.com," added Meckler.
September 17, 2012, to comply with the Nasdaq Listing Rules requiring it to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share. WebMediaBrands plans to effect a reverse stock split, if necessary and approved by its stockholders, to meet the minimum bid price requirement during the grace period and maintain its listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
Aquaspin:
what do you expect for Q1 2012 in May?
do you think WEBM will trade above 1 $ before Q1 results or JUST AFTER?
I am thinking to buy this stock.
Please advise,
Many Thanks in advance.
Yes $2 coming this is cheapest Facebook play.
Wow, what a surprise to come home to! Deep pockets coming in. Nice to see and inevitable imo. Maybe we can work our way past 2 finally.
I don't think Alan is selling any shares today. He just got through talking to fund managers yesterday and is planning on talking to more of them. It would make him look really bad if he is trying to get fund managers to buy the stock while he is selling stock at the same time. I see WEBM going above $2 if we get a lot of buying from funds.
Cant wait to see the form 4,and see how many alan dumped into this run lol....glty.........
WEBM about to blow past $1.00!! Board is really quiet given the huge gains with high volume we are seeing today.
WEBM will be trading north of $1.00 very soon IMO. CEO was talking to fund managers yesterday.

Consolidating around .80 for a while now and trading in the upper half of the bolly's and also above the 10 and 20dma's for some time. Wanting to pierce the 200day anytime at .92. Compressing as it trades into the next leg up imo. GL.

It would be a perfect timing for a blog like this one from Dec 2010 to come out again:
How to Get In On the $41 Billion Facebook Empire
by Alexander Moschina, Investment U Research
Monday, December 20, 2010
Without question, Facebook is one of the biggest stories of the last decade. Its founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, was just named Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2010. Yet only he and a few people got rich off the $41 billion social networking site.
Until now, that is.
No, the company isn’t going public. Even if it did, its IPO would be astronomical. But there is a way to cash in on Facebook’s massive success. For roughly $1 per share…
Facebook news site AllFacebook.com recently launched a new subscription-based service – the AllFacebook Services Directory. It’s an online marketplace, where businesses can advertise Facebook-related marketing, software and other services.
The site already attracts more than a million unique visitors per month. And the tiny company behind it has a market cap of $26.7 million. News of the launch sent its shares soaring more than 50%. But it’s just a preview of things to come…
Facebook Ad Revenue Set to Blast Past AOL
When it comes to monetizing the web, New York City’s WebMediaBrands (Nasdaq: WEBM) has been at the forefront for over a decade. It manages a network of professional blogs, career sites and newsletters.
But today, the company has its sights on Facebook. Particularly the $800 million in ad revenue it raked in last year…
Analysts predict that Facebook will soon reach $1.4 billion in recurring ad revenue, crushing web veterans like AOL (NYSE: AOL). And as Facebook’s strength as an ad medium grows, so too will demand for WebMediaBrands’ new service…
WebMediaBrands Gets In on the Ground Floor of a Rapidly-Growing Market
Now that the social networking site has reached 500 million users, it’s attracting some major brands. But did you know that more than half of its ad revenue still comes from small businesses? And the common denominator here is that they need help marketing in the new adspace…
That’s where online ad firms come in. They make a living advertising on social media sites. Unfortunately, though, potential clients have a hard time finding them on the open web.
But WebMediaBrands is helping itself to a big piece of the industry pie. It’s AllFacebook Service Directory is like the Yellow Pages for Facebook advertising. A monthly subscription fee ensures that the businesses listed are legitimate. And for WebMediaBrands, this creates a significant repeat revenue stream. Not to mention it gains access to a young market currently worth more than $400 million…
The directory is a game-changer for the company and the service’s success will likely lead to others like it. Its site SocialTimes.com could easily host a directory for companies that market on Twitter, YouTube and other sites.
Over the coming years, WebMediaBrands will continue to unlock the web’s profit potential. And as social networking evolves, the company will expand its business as it creates even more revenue streams.
Good investing,
Alexander Moschina
I noticed Meckler now owns 15.9 million shares as of his most recent report of ownership. That's around 50% more than he had when he reported in September. That's also around 70% of the float and 38% of total outstanding shares! You don't see that kind of ownership by a CEO. Meckler must see GREAT TIMES ahead for WEBM, either through explosive growth or a buyout. Crazy ownership numbers, wow.
The outstanding shares are 41.1 million and the float is 23.7 million. Insiders own a lot of shares.
Sorry, speaking for Aqua.
The number of outstanding shares the Registrant’s common stock, par value $.01 per share, as of November 1, 2011 was 41,808,560. Per 10Q
Shs Outstand 41.81M
Shs Float 22.91M
http://finviz.com/quote.ashx?t=webm&ty=c&ta=1&p=d
A close above .93 would be spectacular. Something we haven't done since Sept. last year.
Anything under 1 is gold and under 2 silver. A close above .76 will be huge!!!!!!
