Yep, Wall Street is about making money for wall street. If you get a chance get the dvd " Inside Job", a documentary about the 2008 meltdown, with dozens of interviews from those that were involved. Awaiting in the shadows is the time bomb - the derivative market. Hope you're enjoying retirement. 🍷
I retired in 2014
What the goober gurus with their constant litany about the world ending tomorrow morning for some reason can’t seem to grasp is that life goes on because life must go on
In my view the roaring 20s market that lead to a terrible 12 year economic depression was largely due to Wall Street
The housing bubble that resulted in a market crash that made Dr Michael Burry famous and rich was directly caused by Wall Street
And Wally World didn’t go out of business
That was the spring of 2023 when I retired.
WMT new 52 week high
I read all kinds of stock tout websites as well as sound byte analysis websites about what the American
Consumer is or isn’t going to do with its income
As if these bozos actually know how much the American Consumer is going to spend each day
I have said enough
Old Wally World has been nice to me. Thanks to the hood rats buying hoodies in the summer
I've had it since $49/share late last spring. Wish I had bought it sooner! Have a profitable day.
Walmart share price Ascending Triple Top Breakout on 15-Aug-2024.
The timing of my re-entry was good.
This is just the beginning and looking promising.
Cheers & GLTY

When I retired from the University a little over a year ago, I purchased a good chunk of Wally world @ around $49/share. It still continues to grow and reinvent itself as technology improves.
Yep, Walmart and Costco have been very good to me. I am thinking about greeting customers at the front door of Walmart just for fun. The freaks that shop there have made us lots of money. Thank you freaks

Yep, slow and steady, wmt and Costco are makin bacon man.
Huge WMT news just now out. Walmart is getting into the very profitable HEALTH business in a VERY big way. Huge.
Good point and I know that they are working on it. Yes - the website needs to be upgraded.
Totally agree. Any stock price for WMT below $70.00 per share is a gift. Huge.
Walmart headquarters is gearing up for some massive growth. This whole town is a construction site.
Walmart should revamp their horrible website. Everything else is great but Amazon relies on their website so why can't Walmart when they have retail outlets as well? They could crush Amazon. If they had a similar website this could be trading over $230+
More than just groceries: Now Walmart is selling its software
Walmart ($WMT) isn’t just selling groceries and clothes anymore — it’s also selling software to logistics giants. The company now offers its Route Optimization tool, which helps businesses map efficient delivery routes. It saved Walmart over $90M in a year as part of a surprising embrace of SaaS (“software as a service”).
Walmart’s move into software marks a diversification strategy, as the retail giant aims for faster-growing businesses and higher profit margins, as reported by Bloomberg.
The introduction of Route Optimization, Store Assist, and its AI-powered search also positions Walmart as a first-mover in AI — boosting efficiency for both shoppers and retailers.
Thinking beyond retail: Earlier this month, Walmart acquired Vizio ($VZIO) in an effort to enter the connected TV space. Walmart sees significant profit potential in this area, particularly through advertising across its properties. Last year, its ad business grew by 28% to $3.4B — a far cry from Walmart’s retail numbers but indicating a promising segment that should grow in the coming years.
LOL There is an old saying, “you can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose”.
Sir, you can’t pick your nose much less a stock price
IMHO When WMT steady growth.
