We still have snow on the ground from Sunday. Had snow few days before that also. For us here a bit unusal we normally don't get it this early. Very strange to see it snow with big leaves on the trees still.

We were very blessed we didn't get a lot cause trees were starting to go with all the wet heavy snow plus leaves not a good combo.

The weather service stated there were reports of at least 2 to 3 feet of water rapidly moving downstream Wednesday night. The Elko Daily Free Press reports the depth of water may increase as the dam continues to fail.

The National Weather Service in Elko has extended the flash-flood warning until midnight Thursday.

Significant flash flooding was reported in Montello and authorities have closed State Route 233.
