.Doesn't even say to call us about options or go to our latest version.
Can't keep it a secret forever. If GTM plans with AWS, then should be more info on this soon, maybe this week leading up to NAB.
Doesn't even say to call us about options or go to our latest version.
Could be something there. Hopefully find out this week
As we know, when you go to AWS Marketplace
and do a search for Veritone, the only product available is Veritone Investigate.
But if you do a Google search for "AWS Marketplace aiWARE" you can still find the link for aiWARE on AWS.
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-6skdzwxgierty
But now it says:
This version of Veritone aiWARE Operating System for Artificial Intelligence - SaaS is not available to new customers.
The new aiWARE release notes also refer to, and separate out release notes for "current version" and "previous version"
So it looks like there is a new version of aiWARE. But why is the "new version" not listed on AWS Marketplace?
All sounds great but need results. Whether in revenue exploding or contracts with partners or signed customers. Accordingly to Veri been cozying up with different cos. for a long time. Like I say next 3 weeks hopefully will be interesting. Announcing of Fed contracts would just be another positive.
You mentioned Mary Palmer from AWS.
She also posted this about Ateliere Creative Technologies. She refers to them as a strategic partner.
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7177098916130164737/
On March 12, Ateliere issued this PR on World Poker Tour.
https://www.ateliere.com/news/world-poker-tour-moves-media-supply-chain-to-ateliere
Veritone announced earnings on March 12, and in the earnings call, RS mentioned World Poker Tour.
Their tech sounds similar to aiWare. https://www.ateliere.com/news/industry-first-end-to-end-generative-ai-media-supply-chain
signed 5 year agreement with AWS https://www.ateliere.com/news/strategic-collaboration-agreement-with-aws
Seems that Veritone is getting cozy with a lot of AWS partners.
Well selling ad agency may or may not fit that bill. Especially when guiding for at least 20 % growth this year. Ad agency was always profitable segment that helped fund the remainder of business. So may be you are correct in your statement.
OK, but taking out a usury loan, they sure haven't shown any sense of urgency to get things rolling with Veritone Hire, or aiWare.
Again, despite the unattractive debt financing, they sure don't appear desperate for survival.
Don't think so. If AWS seen Veri as major partner or competitor would have snatched up or at least invested in a long time ago. That never happened and doesn't look like going to happen any time soon. If cared about Veri wouldn't let them take out usury loan and give away 3 mil shares just a few months ago. AWS got 100 bil war chest and growing. 1 bil to them is peanuts.
And coming at the same time they are revealing Veritone Hire, new website, new look, etc.
That would be a catalyst for disruptive growth.
And looking back, not marketing aiWare. Taking them 10 months to integrate Broadbean. Same old outdated website. Doesn't look like the behavior of a small struggling company trying to make a name for itself alone. Maybe this has been more about following Amazon's timeline, than Veritone's timeline.
Also liked by Mary Palmer who is in charge of global business and development and growth strategy for AWS. She also posted she's pumped for the session with Sean King and another AWS employee. She's pumped either they know how to market well or lije you say something strategically happening.
Funny that you posted that.
I was just looking at that post. It was also liked by Chris O'dea, Sr. Director. But even more interesting, liked by Ben Xiang, SVP Corporate Dev. and Strategy.
He is not very active on Linkedin. So for him to like that post is interesting. Sure hints that some strategic plans underway with AWS.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/benxiang/recent-activity/reactions/
"Ai that makes you even better. Get reintroduced to Veri at NAB show". Linkin post put out by AWS liked by RS. Promising.
Agree if not than like I say just another channel partner for now
If they really have
serious GTM plans with AWS centered around aiWare and Veritone's applications, then next week, leading up to NAB, we should be hearing from AWS talking about Veritone, not just the other way around.
And again, I find it interesting that the new rebranding, website, revealing of Veritone Hire, appears to be coming next week, the same time as NAB.
NAB being the biggest M&E show in the world, why wouldn't you get this out in front of NAB.
They are presenting at NAB with Dalet, Grabyo, and AWS. They put the Dalet PR out in March, the Grabyo PR this week. There should be a joint AWS PR next week. jmo
I think the next few weeks leading up to EC will be all telling and revealing for me. Veri always seems to say exciting news coming and than a dud. So again crossing my fingers for something exciting and especially from investor standpoint.
Next week will be interesting.
The coming out party for Veritone Hire will be telling. Want to confirm whether the Broadbean purchase was strategically planned, in light of the fact that it took a huge chunk out of their precious cash, or a knee jerk reaction to Amazon bailing.
Next week "should" confirm that the Broadbean acquisition was "disciplined financial stewardship, and strategically planned" as RS said at the time.
They have a long list of aiWare release notes and bug fixes for 4/4/23
What is new is that they separate them out by current version and previous version.
So they provide a list of new release notes and bug fixes for "current version" and another list of new release notes and bug fixes for "previous version"
The above is seen by logging into aiWare.
They also provide the release notes here. https://support.veritone.com/s/article/000004880?language=en_US but in this case, they only list the "current version"
We need results now. As we saw in past looks can be deceiving. If silent on AWS next week will assume just a channel partner relationship. Hopefully come out with something explaining their involvement
yeah, saw that. Now it's the Maria Moore show.
Hopefully next week, with the new website, the coming out party for Veritone Hire, NAB Show coming, we start to see more of her in action. She looks very detailed aggressive and focused to me.
What is kind of concerning to me is not knowing the relationship
between RS and CS. I think it has been unfortunate for the company and for shareholders that CS has remained totally silent.
Being that they are silent on aiWARE roadmap and developments over the past couple years, it is hard to tell if CS role as a "highly paid" consultant was actually strategic, or more of an effort to first, pay CS to relinquish the CEO position, and then pay again to relinquish CS from the Chairman position.
Another sign is that the original "V" was CS idea with his interest in origami. Looks like RS mission the last couple years has been to remove CS altogether.
Think maybe their butting heads may have contributed to Veritone falling apart in 2022. But they just point the finger to Amazon as the reason.
BTW did you see Seth is gone.
Maybe now we get updated website. 3 years in the making. No updates no nothing. A rebranding, never had any branding under RS. Not holding my breath for anything spectacular.
Nothing new here, except he
says new website and rebranding coming
https://omny.fm/shows/grit-daily-startup-show-1/veritone-ai-advertising-technology-with-ryan-steel
Thanks. I think I like the new design better looks a little more futuristic.
Because back on March 1st, Veritone applied for a trademark for the new "V" design.
https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=98430160&caseType=SERIAL_NO&searchType=documentSearch
And also, The Broadbean and Pandologic post from 2 days ago.
https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7180950273886990336/
If you look closely, behind the "Stay Tuned" you can see the "V" that matches the trademark application.
Just curious how do you know the V design is changing?
On another note, they are going to change the "V" in Veritone.
No more oragami looking "V".
Interesting that it is next week.
I speculated that we might see a Veritone AWS PR leading up to NAB.
Looks like the big reveal for Veritone Hire
might be next week.
I’m back from our annual family Ski vacation in Park City, Utah and ready to hit the ground running with lots of exciting happenings at PandoLogic/VeritoneHire - more to come next week but stay tuned!!
Stock price really took nose dove after 2pm. Thought easily would close above 7.25 wow doesn't even look like 7
Still have 650+ employees as of 3/25. I thing caught my eye was that they wanted to convert trial customers to long term customers especially in government and regulated industries. So apparently still have quite a few trial customers and keep saying regulated industries. What are the regulated industries? Finacial services maybe!
Well back in 2022 they said they were going to change the narrative and focus on their ecosystem. Since aiWare can apply to all industries, not just ecosystem, they just are not going to talk about aiWare unless mentioning it while marketing ecosystem applications as you said.
Think as far as from as a shareholder perspective, we won't learn about aiWare developments unless some type of strategic development is announced.
But when you see all the efforts of the various platforms like Google Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, etc, having an interest in bringing in more and more 3rd party AI models, then would make sense that there is likely outside interest in aiWare capabilities.
What does it mean when Veritone alludes to disruptive growth?
Everything Veritone does is built on aiWare, so I don't know what else they can mean about disruptive growth, other than something to do with aiWare. jmo
I personally think they don't market Aiware because to early in the game. Companies focusing on single ai solutions. Aiware is designed to run multiple ai solutions and the market is simply not there yet. Right now Aiware is being marketed to partners and not publicly for workflow integrations so multiple applications can run simultaneously. Only way Veri and Aiware get in the door is via Veri applications or until market catches up. JMO
I can't think of any reason for not marketing the aiWare platform other than aiWare roadmap is strategically planned. Can you?
And looks to be corporate development efforts around aiWare / AI Solutions Group.
A deal would be the catalyst for the "disruptive growth" they have been alluding to.
They have an April investor presentation now.
Don't understand it either. Should be a lot of strategic opportunities out there that would put Veritone in a better financial situation going forward.
AMZN 100 bil in cash. Can't even invest or buy Veri for a bil. Has to be a problem somewhere.
If Veritone has GTM plans with AWS, as it appears they do, then really no reason why
there should not be a joint PR with AWS concerning workflow integrations. Maybe we see this PR as we get closer to NAB. Last year they issued a NAB PR on April 11. Today's PR came early, so maybe they are saving a Veritone/AWS PR for next week.
We should learn a good part of
Veritone Hire transformation this month, according to their linkedin posts yesterday.
Only catalyst short term is the announcement of these Fed contracts and how much. Longer term you have Veritone Hire transformation and any increase in guidance. 2q EC coming up hopefully will bring something new.
Yeah, hoping it is aiWare related.
In the recent interview with RS, he said aiWare the original Bedrock. If I was interviewing him, my response would be "what happened", besides nothing?
Was a little disappointed in today's PR. Same applications, except Ask Veri. Guess we will see how aggressively Amazon pushes Veritone at NAB.
So far this year, I still can't point to one thing CS has accomplished as aiWare consultant. And taking over 10 months for Broadbean integration. Wonder if part of the problem is RS spends all of his waking hours on Linkedin.
Glad the stock is heading in the right direction, but they should obviously be a lot further along by now. And like you say, no outside investment interest. jmo
If nothing else, wish they could find a way to hype the stock so I can be outta here.
So workflow integration is the process of connecting applications via apis etc. So to me sounds like some form of Aiware.
Have a workflow integration with AWS. Wonder if that is just DMH or something more.
Yeah, hoping to see something interesting at NAB, but you are probably right.
Yes and hopefully it includes Ask Veri. The Amazon connection seems to be growing stronger but I really don't expect anything for a couple of months. Biggest thing I think that happens is a sale of Veritone One.
