You got it!
Either X3
or a miner.
Nice choice. I love the easy swings between the upper 13's and low 14's. Good luck.
I don't trade iron ore. Used to. But it's strictly SILVER right now.
I take it you don't think it could possibly drop to $1.5 or so. I'm not thinking bankruptcy yet but I don't think the current rise in Chinese 62% iron ore prices will pick up much more. In fact, I think we will see a low in the extended futures in the low $20 range to maybe as low as the upper teens. I just don't think the market players are ready to run iron ore back up until the big 3 feel enough pain to repent and drastically lower their production numbers.
Nickle/copper is also hurting this company and nickel/copper doesn't seem to be rebounding very much at the moment.
Who knows, commodity pricing may stay low for a couple more years. If that's the case, who knows how low the market might take this company and others. It's a cruel game these financial guys play.
You also have to remember there are more than 3.2 billion shares outstanding.
Well, good luck. If your right, sucks for me.
VALE will not die and we have seen the bottom.
Once the junk ratings start piling up, it will get ugly. Spot prices up today so no surprise to see all the big ones including this one up today. Next weeks a new week. We shall see if it continues. My bet is no, but I have lots of time to wait it out.
VALE downgraded to just above Junk!

You're right on about that. I was going to say that the option chain is the only way to play this now but I got all wound up and on a different tangent and forgot to mention it.
VALE is getting hammered and #4 on the most shorted list and that's what I mean by the Govt. of Brazil manipulating it to stay above water as their economy and their own accounts depend on it.
The legal battles haven't even started yet which will finish VALE as they are already way over their head with the S11D expansion which will be ready just in time for RIO or BHP to take control when VALE get wiped clean.

This little rise won't last. Now being short won't cost you dividend payments. Much easier to be short now. Picked up some puts. Should do well on them in the short term. How about you?
$VALE is a manipulated scam! This scam should already be insolvent if it were not for manipulators keeping it on life support with the Govt. of Brazil being the largest stakeholder.
Only a manipulated scam stock like VALE goes up on bad news and only because it is already on it's last breath.
Plain and simple, they got greedy and mined themselves out of a job in an attempt to monopolize the market and absorb more control scooping up mines that went insolvent for pennies on the dollar. They didn't do anything supporting their own infrastructure to support their efforts while exceeding engineering disaster levels for basin and storage capacity.
Then Boom! They got greedy flooding supply and lost.
The last calendar cycle was a cycle of forgiveness and debt release. VALE did nothing except greed building!
The new cycle began on Sept 15, 2016 and is the Shemittah Jubilee which runs for 7 years where those who followed will be blessed and those who didn't will be ruined by their own doings.
This is actually a little frightening as what is happening in the world markets is dead nuts accurate to what prophecy predicts and as history has also proven correct in past events.
CLF did everything right, VALE did everything wrong.
Wealth never leaves the market, it simply changes hands.

More terrible news. VALE is finished.
This suckers bet is being promoted heavy so hedge funds can dump and dump they will. VALE is a falling knife to stay completely clear of.
Crybaby shareholders who lost money are signing up to sue this company. If this could actually happen then every company on every stock market would get sued ...laugh out loud. Ridiculous
Ground floor opportunity. Few out there so take advantage
These lawsuits don't have a leg to stand on. Institutions who are shorting the stock hire law firms to put these ridiculous scare tactics out there. Put it this way if you are renting a bedroom in a house and the mailman slips and falls Who can he Sue. That's right. The owner and no one else.Vale was not the owner of where they were dumping their waste.... This stock has no reason to be under $14 Which is the high of the year
i have 25 k now. Vale ist for me the long term invest, value and growth
They didn't build a new dam as they were told over greed as it was too costly for them while they over produced and illegally dumped in the basin while saturating the market. They were in the process of raising the old dam as water levels were already maxed out when it broke apart.
So their whole attempt to drive other miners out of business failed and instead put their own operations out of business. Karma
The only thing keeping VALE at and around $4 is because the Brazil Govt. is it's largest shareholder. I would imagine manipulation is keeping it from absolutely tanking as I don't know anybody that would hold being the beginning of the mess with many unforeseen difficulties ahead.
Samarco dam's license was expired for 2 years....
Nonetheless, as more information about the extent of the damage caused by the dam burst emerges, analysts are trying to tot up the potential bill for both BHP and Vale SA. The dam breach was the largest-ever spill of its kind, according to Robert Chambers, president of the nonprofit Center for Science in Public Participation, whose group has tracked these types of failures back to 1915.
The cost to the companies, including for cleanup and rebuilding, could top US$1 billion, said Paul Young, a Sydney-based analyst at Deutsche Bank, who estimated the mine could be closed until about 2019. He described the dam burst as "catastrophic."
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=69225500
BHP/VALE The extent of the damage raises questions about the future of Samarco's iron-ore operation in Minas Gerais state, where two of the mine's three waste-containment dams burst. The mine has ceased operations for now. On Monday, a state environmental official said he would challenge any new relicensing of the project.
Fitch Ratings on Monday put a negative credit watch on four classes of Samarco debt. The ratings agency cited concerns about lower iron-ore production following the accident, as well as the potential for the company to be hit with regulatory, legal or environmental penalties. If "the cause of the breach was due to a technical error, the penalties could be more punitive," Fitch said.

Brazil mine disaster is crushing VALE.
Both BHP and VALE will suffer a long time coming. All mining operations to be halted through 2019 that may be extended. Billions in damages.
