All Attendees:
Looks like both nights are planned. Thanks Kipp for setting up Saturday's cocktails/dinner. Right now it looks like we have 9 VMCers going. I am still waiting to confirm 2 possible additions, Echos and Nsomniyak. Maybe a few others might also attend. To my knowledge, only Kipp will not be at Tinoco's on Friday night. Please let me know if I have that wrong. It looks like two wives will be there both nights, Mrs. Digitech and Mrs. 10Bagger. With name tags I am sure we will get past or improve on that. If anyone else is bringing a spouse, please let me know. I hope neither wife cancels because it would be nice to have both in attendance each night. Looking forward to a fun weekend.

I'll be with you guys in spirit. Damned Army regulations
I will join you guys on both Friday and Saturday. Only myself.
I plan on joining on Saturday night. It will just be me.
Mike
I booked Saturday night at Cici. I am winding up a business trip and will be home later today. I have already reserved the dining room and just need to get the paperwork in. I will report back here this weekend with all of the details.
Kipp
Maybe I should bring a couple polo shirts from my golf group - USLAGA. The United States Low-Ability Golf Association :)
Got a cool logo and everything.
Actually, the place that does shirts for me can do nice logo polos very inexpensively--$12 to $15 per shirt. Got a logo for VMC?
Nsomniyak--Hope you do shake free and can join us both nights. I am a real hacker myself and would love to play but don't think I will have enough time this time around. If this one is a success and it is repeated somewhere next year, maybe we will get a few more hackers involved.
tmcal
Well it appears that somehow this board received a scam spam. That is a first. Anyone want to respond to this idiot? LOL
I am still trying to shake free to make the meet & greet.
I would be there basically for the VMC events, I am not overly interested in the Trader's Expo.
I could however, be talked into playing a round of golf or two while there. Anyone else thinking of bringing clubs?
P.S. - I would play badly, but quickly.
Sounds good to me too.
Who is on first to make the reservation?
Count me in for 2
BG
here is my tenative schedule for the event:

I got my confirmation packet in the mail today for the Expo<bg>.
I'm staying with friends in Henderson- will arrive on 14 November late afternoon, and leave on Monday
I've been trading for about 9 years. Recently left the military after a 21 year career. Live in Wisconsin, and plan to go to school next year- Landscape Horticulture and Finance.
Married, two grown kids, 2 dogs, and a cat, lo.
I ended up being an Ihubber about 7 years ago (grandfathered type, lol). Love the Ihub community, and looking forward to meeting the bunch of you next month
for those that are not following the Ihub meet/greet board.

Matt is looking for some Ideas:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=24107509
Here is what I responded with:
I would look at some morning gatherings at Mandalay- maybe at the booth around opening times every morning. People are coming on different days, so this would give each person a chance to meet/greet other Ihubbers before the seminars start .
Maybe an open/cash bar around 3-6 p.m. at different locations each night. So, those that want to socialize can gather and make individual plans from there.
Tie in with the VMC'ers crowd?
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=8974
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=24079015
Raffle/drawing for some show tickets (if the brits can afford it, lol)?
Sunday morning brunch around 9 a.m.? Topic of discussion: When/where/what if- the next Ihub get together (Maybe a chance to schedule/do some investment/trading seminars exclusively for Ihubbers, by Ihubbers).

Thanks for finding this spot. Sounds great and close to Mandalay Bay. Bobwins

Any place that has food and drinks works for me.. It is not the reason we have all decided to get together and my wife has me on a diet anyway.. The diet started 43 years ago but she is still trying..It will be great to meet all the faces that go with the impressions that have been made,, and the profits that have been produced.. I understand Bobwins will be the one holding a brief case full of mold and yellowing DD reports... hank

Saturday Night Suggestion For All
VMC'ers,
One block south of Mandalay is a place called Cili, here is the website complete with pictures and the works:
http://www.cili.com/
OK, here is the scoop. They have a private dining room that seats 35 with an attached enclosed patio, and it is still open for Saturday night. This would give us a 100% private area all to ourselves. We have to commit to a plated multi corse meal that is $59 per person and/or we have to guarantee a minimum of $1,000 total revenue to them. The $59 does not include tips or drinks. We better tell plan on $75-$100 per person. (I am still offering to pick up the happy hour bar tab before dinner, YIKES!) I think this is reasonable considering the price and the fact it is private. It is 1 block south of Mandalay Bay. We need to act fast or it will be gone.
WHAT DO ALL OF YOU THINK??

cocktails 4-6 on Saturday- sounds like a plan. The race starts at 7 p.m., so I would be able to be there for the first hour or two.
I would be interested in attending on Friday. I would bring at least one other out of town guest. I have tickets to the motorcross race on Saturday, so would not be able to go that night..
http://www.endurocross.com/index2.htm
Sounds like a good list.
I like numbers 1, 2, and 8. I also would add to number 6- Investment focus (sector, stock, whatever) for next year.
Wow.... Jacksonville, IL.....
Believe it or not I lived there for a year when growing up. I lived there from the summer of '78 to the summer of '79.
Mike
Kipp, some may not want to post all of that info here, but some won't mind at all. I sent the following to Bobwins last week when he asked what we are going to talk about. During and after dinner, I suggest each individual have an opportunity to address one or more of the following topics:
1. Investment style.
2. Value of the VMC Board
3. Portfolio size/performance
4. How introduced to VMC Board
5. Why at Meet & Greet
6. Investment Expectations for the next year.
7. Favorite VMC story/joke
8. Suggestions for next VMC get together. (Frequency/Location)
9. Favorite football and basket ball team.
10.Whatever is on their mind.

Icebreaker Biography for Vegas
I think an optional biography might be a good way to give some personal background/experience, interests, VMC history, etc. ahead of time. This might stimulate conversations that otherwise might not come up.
Here goes mine:
I was born in Jacksonville, IL in August of '65. I have a twin brother(new home sales in Denver) and a 2 year older brother(Delta pilot in Cinci). My parents grew up on farms near Pontiac and Fairbury, IL 2 hours S. of Chicago(still have 240 acres of prime farm ground there). My Dad sold bi-products for Masonite (the company that made all of that dark fiber board paneling). He started his own feed and fertilizer brokerage in 1972 and we moved to Conifer, CO in 1974. 35 acres on a north facing slope in the foothills, froze my tail off all winter. I went to school in Durban South Africa for 6 months in 7th grade. I graduated from Evergreen H.S. class of '83. I worked/lived on a charter boat in Kodiak, AK in the summers. I then did my first 2 years of college at Western State in Gunnison, CO. I started commercial salmon and halibut fishing in Kodiak and continued through the college years, the money was great and I never owed for school loans. I transferred to Colorado State and graduated with a B.S. in Agricultural Business. I married an Iowa farm girl named Glenda Jo, (the good witch from the Wizard of Oz). I ended up taking a job with a small zinc sulfate manufacturing company in Denver. My Dad had done some consulting for the company and got me the interview. It had such great potential we bought in to the business and built it up over 10 years and sold it to TETRA Technologies (TTI-NYSE) on 1-19-1999. TETRA sold the business again in 2003 and I cut a good deal with the new owners. I have a daughter of 14.5 and a son turning 16 in 2 months. I wouldn't sell either of them for a billion dollars, but I wouldn't give 2 cents for a new baby at this stage. I love my kids a lot! I am now managing 5 other regional salesmen and I have some key accounts of my own. I like to sportfish and go to Vermillion Bay, Ontario, Kodiak, and Cabo San Lucas, every year. Some trips are with clients and the company picks up the tab (not a bad gig if you can get it!). I also have a car hobby specific to MOPARs Dodge and Plymouths. The "440" in my handle is from the 440cu in motor. I do some mild drag racing on Friday nights in the summer. I got hooked up with Bobwins right before he started the Raging Bull board with Hweb. I first met Bobwins on the AHOM board, it was pure luck because he only made one or 2 posts there telling people about mdpa now MDF. I sold the AHOM and got mdpa, it was just shy of a 10 bagger when I sold it. The rest is well documented on ihub. I feel greatful to have the VMC "family" as it has changed my financial condition forever. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I sure am looking forward to seeing everyone in person and having a nice time in Vegas.
Kipp
Looking forward to meeting everyone. I'm up for dinner both nights. I am hoping to get some help from the Traders Expo. I need software that flashes a Big RED SIGN on my computer.....
Warning, warning, Danger... Will Robinson! You are getting GREEDY!!! SELL something, you Dummy!

Good to see some plans coming together.
I make it a priority to make it out to the dinner(s).
JFF7
We could have 4-6pm cocktail/apps. (sponsored by yours truly) for those who have plans to go to shows and such and then carry on to dinner for those who want to do that Saturday. I will look for a place nearby Mandalay and report back here.
Kipp
We are actually planning on having a dinner/get together both nights, just have not tied down plans for the second night (Saturday). Kipps idea is a good one if we can identify a good location close to Mandalay Bay.
Ops, can we change the diner to Sat instead so we have everybody? Forgot about Kipp's schedule, sorry.
I'd be up for that.
Mike
Darn guys, I can't get there until Saturday morning. I am staying at Mandalay Bay Saturday night and leaving Sunday late afternoon. I will be checking out the Expo. What about getting together again early Saturday evening, say 4:00-6:00pm. I will even offer to pick up the bar/appetizer bill! Maybe some place in or very near Mandalay Bay right after everyone checks out the EXPO.
??????
Kipp
Thanks, a local restaurant is much better the strip ones. Less crowded and more reasonable priced.
I will rent a car there so I can offer free shuttle service from the trader show at Mandalay Bay to Tinoco for up to 4 people.
I will come by myself.
OK, attendees, I have made a reservation for Friday night (Nov 16th) at Tinoco's Bistro which is a reasonably priced "local Italian restaurant" with great food located at 103 East Charleston Blvd., probably about 4 blocks toward downtown from the Stratosphere. The restaurant phone number is 702-464-5008. I made the reservation for 12 to 14, assuming some will bring a spouse/guest, but I would like to confirm a number eventually. If we have more people commit to attend, I can easily increase the reservation.
It does not have a full bar, but they are able to provide some mixed drinks for a group like ours. Obviously, they have a good beer and wine selection. We will have a quasi-private room; basically, it will be a large part of a larger private room that they will divide off for us. I made the reservation for 6:30, but said we probably would not have dinner until 7 or 7:30 and we will order from the menu. I will have some type of name cards to be individually filled out at the restaurant.
If anyone has another idea to explore for this night or the followingt night, post a message or send me a PM. I plan to go to the Trader Expo sometime Friday and/or Saturday
WCG..
Sold 388 @$44.88.. Which I Bought @$41.26..

That was too easy.. time to stay away for awhile.. Paid for the Vegas trip on that one.. hank
Glad you and Mike can make it. Both of you are the VM members that I have high respects for. Looking forward meeting you guys!
Going to be great meeting all you folks <vbg>.
I'm really looking forward to this meet/greet
I'm in Thursday evening and I'll be staying at the Mandaly.. hank
I just booked tickets for the entire family. We will arrive late on the 14th (Wednesday) and depart on the 20th (Tuesday). I have a meeting that potentially I will have to attend that may change my arrival plans. I think the likelihood of a change is low so I decided to go ahead and book before flights become a problem.
Mike
Possible Saturday event for those that like motorcross:
http://www.endurocross.com/index2.htm
Correction. We are staying until the 19th
BG

Attendance at VMC gatherings
I am making this a bit of a holiday so I will be flying in on Wednesday and out on Sunday night.
I will be attending any VMC gatherings as that is a priority with me and I have no other commitments other than to have a little fun while I am there.
It will be great to meet all of you. I am really looking forward to it.
JFF7
I will fly in Saturday morning and fly out Sunday afternoon. I will be solo and plan to attend all VMC activities.
Thanks,
Kipp
Discussing our various options to Meet Face to Face and discuss our stocks.
Value Microcaps has been bringing together investors for several years. We have developed mutual respect and made a lot of money together. Now we think it's time to meet in person. Unlike individual stock boards who agree to meet after a stock takes off, we are continually sharing winners. So we would like to meet again and celebrate our picks and plops!!
