The overall stock market is trending up now because of good news! good luck to all
- RomeZ
QLD is on a confirmed downtrend. Time for QID to shine.
Good call bailing on QLD.
I think QID runs hard. Depending on things tomorrow I may jump in live with $14K and ride it to $18 or so. Waiting on other signals though.

Hi JP.....jumped out this morning @67.71 before she headed south.
I was happy with the run and how it played. Jumped into QID @14.40.
I'm doing it as a MACD play. I'll keep a close watch on the other signals, also. P.S. Take it easy on the birds, Sir!
Futures are looking way up for Mondays open.
QLD could be headed north of 72 if this keeps up. Charts are all looking good for QLD.
My gut told me the bull run was over but it appears that it has a lot of steam left in it.
As QLD heads north, obviously QID is headed south. When the inevitable downturn occurs, QID will be one heck of a play.
You as well.
Jobless claims were up this morning and although that should weigh on the markets, most of the time, the DOW goes up by 200 points.
We'll see.
Hi JP. Still holding, but watching closely.
Appreciate your opinions as always. Have a
good and safe day.
Has the market peaked for September?
All the talking heads on CNBC and FBN are crooning about how this is the best September since 1939. In my opinion, we are abot to see a dive back to 10K. QLD is goign to take a hit but QID should bea good investment.
Next few days will be telling.
And higher we march. Good work on all who got in sub $55 or lower. As the markets trend higher, QLD will continue to produce good results.
I don't think this will last but for now, ride the wave.
Nice close today. QLD continues to push higher as the market apparently seems to want to move close to 11K.
Next week should be fun.
JP1101
Sure is.
You to.
That's good, I guess better than nuttin...
Be safe sir.
We most certainly do. I get half a day tomorrow to paper trade and then it's off to W.
Either way, we have the tools and knowledge to make the big $$$$$
Thanks bro.
I think she can probably go to $72 or higher. Seems like everytime futures are negative, the market turns around and the bulls take over. When it turns, QID is going to be a wild ride.
JP
I'm in on paper for now so lets see how high it can push.
Your doing a fantabulous job sir!
With the September rally in full swing, QLD keeps moving north. If this continues we could test the $72 level which would be great.
I'm sure there will eventually be a downturn and we all know where to go it that occurs.
JP1101
Yes looking very good. Honestly, I would have held but I was trying to paper trade how I would in real life so I stopped myself out when the price dropped yesterday.
Still looking good though.
Hi JP...I'm still holding. I'm watching the daily cause I never know when or how long I can be at the computer, but so far looking very strong.
Nice close for QLD today over $61.
I think there is a lot of room left to run and there could be a test of $72.
So far everything looks good. Since I'm paper trading this one, I'm going to trade it like I would if I was live. Due to the job, I would set stop losses to lock in profits and today due to volatility I got stopped out (on paper). I set a 1% loss so maybe I need to refine my percentages.
Still working on it.
Hope everyone had a great day. I'll be flying all day tomorrow but will try and post prior to market open.
JP1101
Based on a HOD of 61.45, I set a trailing stop loss of 1%.
Just got stopped out at $60.84 for a 10% ROR.
I'll be watching to chart to see if there is another entry point today.
JP1101
New paper trailing stop loss $60.75 for 9.83% ROR.
Awsome job. Thanks for the support. QLD looks pretty good today.
JP1101
Hi JP....I've marked both boards. I'm in QLD @61.16 this a.m., so
my paper trading has begun. Am watching F's for reading practice.
Only have 15 posts, so I'll check in later this evening. Good job and good trading.
On Paper.
I have a 1% trailing stop loss in. Right now, I would get stopped out at $60.65 based on the HOD today. That would give me a 9.65 ROR.
I'm in this at $55.17 on 01 September.
JP1101
Futures up. QLD looking very strong pre-market. I expect it to continue the upward trend.
OK, this is my 4th post and since I'm the only one posting here, I think I can be the mod now.
Post 3, can I be moderator now. Oh wait, one more to go.
OK, I got back from a Monkinar and know how to trade.
Time to start paper trading the Q's.
JP1101
I will be trading the Q's starting Monday. I hope to become the moderator of this board.

I hadn't even looked. That's too bad. I made a bunch off an option trade last year
ProShares ETFs Announces Zero Year-End Capital Gain Distributions
http://www.proshares.com/resources/news/proshares_etfs_announces_zero_year_end_capital_gain_distributions.html
QLD - December is capital gains season... be aware of the year-end distribution coming soon... around option expiry week
QLD down cycle started today 090615.
The last cycle was 2 trading days.
I expect this cycle to be of at least 10 or more trading days:
-MACD (12,26,9) made bearish crossing
-EMA 3/8 made bearish crossing
During this cycle we could see some bearish signals on the weekly chart which would extend the down cycle.
Bottom line: I will probably not be adding to my QLD position until atleast the 6th trading day. Of course market conditions change from day to day.
QLD new cycle may have started today. I expect the cycle to be of less than 10 traading days. Therefore I will be buying at below the lower trend line which is currently 32.76 and then buying at new cycle lows.
QLD Daily Chart of Cycle that ended 090515
I did buy on May 13th, however I sold on May 14th at the lower trend line. Since I was anticipating a short cycle I should have held on to the buy and I should have bought again on May 15th when it again closed below the lower trend line.
QLD Cycle ended 090515. 4 trading days.
QLD Cycle: Now in the 3rd trading day.
Current cycle low is at 31.52 (My current buy level)
I expect this cycle to last less than 10 trading days.
I was mistaken. QLD tied the last uptrend record at 29 trading days. QLD is now in it's 2nd trading day of the current down trend. I expect this down trend to last less than 10 trading days, then the up trend will resume.
QLD Cycle may have started today. I expect this cycle to last less than 10 trading days.
Currently QLD is below the lower trend line(33.04), QLD current price is around 32.74.
QLD has a new up trend record currently on going.
I expect a down turn at anytime.
My QLD upper trend line price is currently at 33.12. QLD is currently trading today between 34.18 to 35.37
So it is trading $1.06 to $2.25 above the upper TL. I expect it will pullback to the upper TL maybe around the 33.50 area.
I may add a QLD position (this would be outside my trading methodology) on the pull back.
uncertain, as usual
Generic - How ya feeling now?
we were oversold for so long. now the other direction
Doesn't look like it really is having to much effect on the market during after hours. This market is getting pretty over bought.
google reported a billion more in revenue than expected.
what was I afraid of?
feels wrong to sell now. google fear however. i have that
That was probably a good price.

ProShares Ultra QQQ seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to two times (2x) the daily performance of the NASDAQ-100 Index®.
This Ultra ProShares ETF seeks a return that is 2x the return of an index or other benchmark (target) for a single day, as measured from one NAV calculation to the next. Due to the compounding of daily returns, ProShares' returns over periods other than one day will likely differ in amount and possibly direction from the target return for the same period. These effects may be more pronounced in funds with larger or inverse multiples and in funds with volatile benchmarks. Investors should monitor their holdings consistent with their strategies, as frequently as daily. For more on correlation, leverage and other risks, please read the prospectus.
