- Mine Permitting Process To Proceed -
TSX Venture: TDC
VANCOUVER, July 28 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture: TDC - News) announces today it has submitted a revised Project Description Report for its wholly owned Yellowknife Gold Project to the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board (MVLWB). The submission envisions a combined open pit and underground mining operation delivering to a centrally-located mill located adjacent to the Ormsby Zone.
"This report will allow Tyhee to continue to advance our principal asset, the wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project, through the environmental assessment process," said David Webb, President and CEO of Tyhee Development Corp. "By continuing to focus on the potential of our existing claims, we expect to strengthen our position as the dominant property holder in the Yellowknife gold camp."
This submission outlines the current operational parameters for the Yellowknife Gold Project and replaces the application submitted in March 2005. Since the project's operational parameters have changed from those submitted in 2005, Tyhee NWT Corp was advised by both the MVLWB and the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board (MVEIRB) to submit a new application.
Today's submission is in line with the expectations of both Boards which will enable the project to proceed through the environmental assessment process. It is expected that once the MVEIRB holds scoping sessions and issues terms of reference for the Developers Assessment Report (DAR), Tyhee could then be in a position to prepare the DAR for submission early in 2009.

July 17 Tyhee receives preliminary assessment demonstrating positive economics for its wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold project Yellowknife, NWT, Canada
Thursday July 17, 8:00 am ET
TSX Venture: TDC
VANCOUVER, July 17 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) (the "Company") today announced that it has received its Preliminary Assessment for its wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project in Yellowknife, NWT. A combined open pit and underground operation at 3,000 tpd will recover an average of 163,500 troy ounces of gold per annum for the first 7 years (total 1,115,000 ounces) at an average operating cost of $384 per ounce of gold with potential to expand the resource at depth and through further exploration. Initial capital costs are estimated to be $150 million (including 30% contingency) with an additional $26 million required throughout the life of mine as sustaining capital. At a base case of $750 per ounce of gold, and a 5% discount rate the project has a pre-tax IRR of 21.3% and a pre-tax NPV of $145 million.
EBA Engineering Consultants Ltd. (EBA) and several Independent Qualified Persons (N. E. Fier, C.P.G., P.Eng, M. Pinollos, A.Winkers, P.Eng., J. Kaehne, P.Eng., P. Melling, M.Sc., P.Eng., V. Pratico, P.Geo.) conducted the Preliminary Assessment and recommend Tyhee initiate a Preliminary Feasibility Study to refine the estimates and optimize the operations.
"The Preliminary Assessment validates management's belief in the project from the beginning", said Dr. Dave Webb, President and CEO of Tyhee. "We are pleased to have received a favourable economic evaluation of our wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project. On an undiscounted basis the project has a pre-tax NPV of $236 million and if we were to consider using a more current price for gold, $900 per ounce, this would boost the figure substantially, to $416 million. The assessment assumes a combined open pit and underground operation at both the Ormsby and Nicholas Lake deposits with a central processing facility at Ormsby. We are particularly encouraged as the Preliminary Assessment did not take into consideration the 80,000 ounces of Inferred gold resource at Bruce Lake. Also, the Bruce Lake, Ormsby, and Nicholas Lake Zones remain open at depth. The Company has also been successful in its initial diamond drilling at Goodwin Lake, 13 km southwest of the Ormsby Zone and at Clan Lake 33 km southwest of the Ormsby Zone.
The Preliminary Assessment utilized the current Measured and Indicated Resource of 11.2 million tonnes grading 3.52 gpt gold containing 1.27 million ounces of gold plus 3.6 million tonnes of Inferred Resources grading 3.21 gpt gold containing 374,000 ounces of gold. This assessment complies with NI 43-101 standards, is preliminary in nature and the economic analysis includes inferred resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them to be categorized as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the results of this Preliminary Assessment will be realized.
Preliminary Assessment Details
The base case considers a 3,000 tonne per day, initially as an open pit with underground operations commencing in year two at Nicholas Lake and year 3 at Ormsby, recovering an average of 165,000 ounces of gold per year for 7 years (total 1,155,000 ounces) at an average operating cost of $384 per ounce of gold. Initial capital costs are projected to be $150 million. At a base case of $750 per ounce of gold, and a 5% discount rate the project has an IRR of 21.3% and a NPV of $145 million. All cost estimates are at + 30% for accuracy. The $US/$CAN rate is assumed to be at par.

June 11 - Tyhee acquires Oro Lake mining leases extending BigSky Property, Yellowknife, NWT, Canada
http://biz.yahoo.com/cnw/080611/tyhee_acquires_leases.html?.v=1
TSX Venture: TDC
VANCOUVER, June 11 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) (the "Company") has purchased a 100% interest in 5 mining leases (Oro Lake Property) covering 338 acres adjacent to its BigSky Property, from Norwest Explorers Ltd, an arms-length company.
"The opportunity to purchase the property adjoining BigSky was too good to pass up", said Tyhee's President and CEO, David Webb. "We will fully investigate Oro Lake's potential in conjunction with the work being carried out on the BigSky property. We continue to add to our position as the dominant property holder in the Yellowknife gold camp".
Tyhee paid Norwest Explorers Ltd (Norwest) $20,000 as a one time payment for a 100% interest in the leases. Tyhee will return the mining leases to Norwest if Tyhee:
a) no longer wishes to retain the mining leases or
b) fails to expend $100,000 on the leases within 5 years of the date of the agreement for the purchase of the leases.
Oro Lake Property
The Oro Lake Property was worked in the 1930's and 1940's, and drilled by Lynx Yellowknife Gold Mines in 1944, resulting in the discovery of a gold-bearing shear zone transecting Kam Group volcanic rocks. Narrow high-grade gold mineralization has been defined in several places along the shear zone from historic work including drillholes which returned values including 208.1 grams per tonne (gpt) gold over 0.6 metres (m) in ddh 19, 27.75 gpt gold over 1.8 m in ddh 23, and 9.92 gpt over 0.8 m in ddh 52 (Mason, J.D., 1975: Lynx Yellowknife Gold Mines., Oro Lake Area, NWT). These are historic assay results and cannot be verified. They are reported because the Company believes they are reliable, and identify a potential exploration target to guide additional work.
The mineralized structure extends onto Tyhee's BigSky Property, and is located 6.5 km south of our southern-most drillholes in our current drill program. Tyhee intends to confirm the nature of and to extend the previous work completed on the Oro Lake Property.
Current Activities
Tyhee is currently operating two of the three drills on its properties, with operations at Nicholas Lake and Clan Lake. Mineralization at Nicholas Lake is open to the east at depth, and the current drill program is designed to test for extensions or close the mineralization off in this direction. The Clan Lake drill program is designed to test for extensions of the Main Zone, along strike and to depth.
The third drill is on stand-by pending results from the current holes. Additional holes are planned for the Goodwin Lake Property utilizing the Nicholas Lake drill rig and crews.
Surface programs are underway with geological crews prospecting on BigSky. Crews will move to Clan and Goodwin Lakes later this summer. The surface program will in part be guided by a 2,400 line km airborne geophysical survey to be flown in June, 2008.

Mar 6 ... discovers new gold zone
http://www.stockhouse.ca/news/news.asp?newsid=6388512
Tyhee [reports] the results of the initial four drillholes on the Company's wholly-owned Goodwin Lake Property.
Tyhee is pleased to report that all four drillholes returned significant gold values, including 6.422 grams of gold per tonne (gpt) over 6.6 metres (m) in diamond drillhole GL003, including 14.458 gpt gold over 2.7 m, and 11.435 gpt over 1.5 m in diamond drillhole GL002. Broader zones, up to 0.625 gpt gold over 34.9 m (GL001) were encountered.
Dr. D.R. Webb, President & CEO reports, "We are very pleased that the first diamond drillholes ever completed on the VAD Zone have returned such robust results. The geology was determined to be prospective, and preliminary work identified substantial zones of gold enrichment that returned very encouraging results. We feel we may have identified a new centre of mineralization that has never before been recognized." Tyhee has been consolidating properties in the Yellowknife Gold Belt, and has focused on internally generated prospects with significant gold potential. The results suggest the potential exists for a large tonnage Ormsby-style deposit in that the gold is hosted by a silicified, sulphidized and brecciated mafic body. The VAD Zone is 12 kilometres south of the Company's development-stage Yellowknife Gold Project.

Yes. There is a huge presence of shareholders on the Stockhouse.com boards. Things are getting very interesting with Mr. Webb focusing efforts on Big Sky.
It really looks like they might become a target for aquisition.
The big major producers out there are looking to expand their resources and buying out small juniors like Tyhee is the best way to do that. They want to buy the juniors before the juniors do all the groundwork and prove up all their ounces.
How large will the offers come to Tyhee? How strong will Tyhee stand to prove more resources and drive up the cost of aquisition? It will be interesting.
Anyone still paying attention to this out there? I have been doing some DD and think I might pick some up.

I have to hope Webb would stand strong when the buyout offers start to come in. Jim Puplava this week was talking about how the majors are now much more interested in taking out pre-production companies with close to 2 million proved ounces and positive blue sky potential to decrease their costs of aquisition, rather than wait till that same company proves up 4 million ounces, ie.
There is speculation that they might have I think up to 14 million ounces there on the property. That would be great if true. Keep drilling!
So Mr. Webb, stand strong, expand your projects, keep the drills going, prove up blue sky and show us 5-10 million more ounces!!!!!!
I don't know if the president of Tyhee is aware of this IH board,
but he has posted on the Silicon Investor Tyhee board, last time 1/20/2005.
http://siliconinvestor.advfn.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=20968987
My impression of Dave is that he would settle for no less than eventually becoming
an owner and president of a large gold producing company.
This to me is the only way any "Tyhee [a] target for buyout" could happen.
David R. Webb, B.A.Sc. (Engineering) M.Sc., Ph.D., P.Geol., President & CEO, Director, has over 30 years experience in gold exploration and mine development at Cominco, Gulf Minerals, the Geological Survey of Canada and in property acquisition evaluations for several private and junior companies. He is also a Director of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Chamber of Mines.

... diamond drilling has commenced on [Tyhee's] wholly-owned Goodwin Lake Property, 12 km south of its Yellowknife Gold Project, NWT Canada. A diamond drill has been mobilized by helicopter and has commenced drilling the first hole. This drill program is expected to be completed in 14 days.
Four diamond drill holes are planned to test a mafic igneous unit that is exposed for 80 metres in width and up to 350 metres in strike length. Additional holes may be added pending results. Recent mapping shows the mafic unit to contain substantial silicification in the form of irregular and discontinuous quartz veining. Tyhee has identified an 80 metre wide by 120 metre portion of this unit with anomalous gold values. This area is known as the VAD Showing. Thirty four grab samples collected by Tyhee this summer average over 5 gpt gold, strongly influenced by samples of narrow quartz veins (less than 1 metre) in excess of 100 gpt (capped at 100 gpt) and 49 gpt gold. This is consistent with results reported by previous operators...

Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) today announced additional gold and tungsten (WO3) results from the Nicholas Lake Main Zone, part of its wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project.
All of the diamond drillholes previously completed on the Nicholas Lake Main Zone have been resampled to assess the potential for a bulk-mineable resource at this location. Previously, only portions of these holes had been assayed. The final results from this program will be released upon receipt.
Significant intersections including 8.1 metres of 7.801 grams per tonne (gpt) gold and 33.7 metres of 10.285 gpt gold in N019 and 20.5 metres of 3.641 gpt gold in N043 have been obtained. Tungsten mineralization occurs proximal to or within the gold-bearing zones, and significant intervals include 9.7 metres of 0.084 % tungsten (WO3) in N043 and 2.2 metres of 0.240 % WO3 in N047.
Aug 14 ... identifies large gold-bearing shear zone system

VANCOUVER, Aug. 2 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) today announced additional gold and tungsten (WO(3)) results from the Nicholas Lake Main Zone, part of its wholly-owned Yellowknife Gold Project.
All of the diamond drillholes previously completed on the Nicholas Lake Main Zone have been resampled to assess the potential for a bulk-mineable resource at this location. Previously, only portions of these holes had been assayed. The final results from this program will be released upon receipt.
Significant intersections including 22.5 metres of 4.924 grams per tonne (gpt) gold in N051 and 47.5 metres of 2.116 gpt gold in N048 as well as 3.4 metres of 0.223 % WO(3) in N032 and 28.5 metres of 0.042% WO3 in N029 have been obtained.
"These intersections continue to define broad areas of gold mineralization within the Nicholas Lake Intrusion and adjacent metasedimentary rocks" said Dave Webb, Tyhee's President & CEO. "Of particular interest are the tungsten values occurring within or in close proximity to the gold mineralization. The results are significant, both in terms of grade and thickness on the central to eastern portion, with narrower zones appearing on the western portion of the deposit."

We are excited to check these targets because the Ormsby Zone geology, which currently
host to over 70% of the measured and indicated gold resource for the Yellowknife Gold Project.
Finding similar geology on these properties significantly increases
their potential to host gold deposits...
... Tyhee has contracted an additional four senior geologists together with support staff
to advance these exploration properties."

Dave Webb, Tyhee's President & CEO, reports "We are very pleased to have met all of our logistical needs on the winter road this year. With the winter haul completed on time and on schedule, we can continue development of the Yellowknife Gold Project in a cost-effective manner. We have additional diamond drillholes to refine the resource at the Ormsby Zone while we continue to expand the resource on the Nicholas Lake Main Zone with new drillholes and through the resampling program currently under way." "These drill results are very good and continue to fill in the resource. Additional drilling in the north-end of the Ormsby Zone, in the Bruce Lake and West Zones is expected to add to and better define the resource in these locations."

Jan 29 ... acquires two new claim groups
http://www.stockhouse.ca/news/news.asp?newsid=4905647
... the acquisition of two claim groups adjacent to its wholly-owned BigSky Property, Yellowknife, NWT, Canada in two separate transactions.
The two contiguous properties encompass mineralized shear zones within Kam Group volcanic rocks adjacent to the BigSky property and the historic Giant Mine leases.
Dave Webb, President and CEO of Tyhee commented, "The addition of these two claim groups further consolidates the north-end of the Giant Mine area around our BigSky Property. The gold mineralization on these newly acquired claims is similar to that which was historically mined in Yellowknife (13 million ounces past production), and lies within the same rocks that were previously mined."
Dr. Webb also noted, "These two claim groups host gold-bearing shear zones that the vendors have traced for thousands of metres. The widths of the shear zones (up to 20 metres) and the grades of grab samples collected (up to 51 gpt gold) are very exciting. The area has seen little exploration activity since the 1940's, despite the proximity to the multimillion ounce gold deposits they tie onto."
