Very unsettling conduct from this company. It's never a good sign when a company waits until the absolute last minute to meet filing deadlines. TRKA is already overdue for providing their audited Q2 financials and they are STILL dragging this out. Most likely bad news coming. Buyout is doubtful.

Bit of a panic sell off but it still does not bode well for the company or investors. Those two nitwit executives materially damaged the company in ways that may never fully be disclosed. I wonder if they can get sued for those damages instead of merely getting fired.

I still maintain that there is no buyout or merger coming. Chapter 11 is looking more likely to happen.

Looks like we're going to be waiting until the last day of extension, July 14, to find out the results of the buyout talks. In my experience, that usually means the talks fell through and there will be no buyout or merger. If the talks do indeed fall through, then the good news is that this piece of shit is already trading at it's bottom line cash value, so the downside is minimal. However, expect it to stay at these levels for months or years. There are simply no other catalysts in the works.

Of course, if the buyout or merger goes through, there is still the very real possibility that management makes an inside deal to reward themselves in exchange for giving the company away for pennies per share. It's yet another frequently occurring white collar crime that the SEC can not prove and will not even bother investigating.

Any way you cut it, buying now and expecting a jump within the next 2 weeks due to a buyout is not investing, it is speculative gambling.
